American Laser Skincare previous employee

I am a previous employee of american laser centers( i was not fired, i left on my own) and was told about this website. after reading many comments it's made me aware I was not alone in realizing how awful this company is. They are scam artists no matter what they say. Scam artists. all the ex-employees could truly blow this company out of the water with all that we know. I saw so many unsuspecting, hopeful people come through the doors thinking this was permanent and amazing treatments. They are not permanent. They are not amazing. I worked there over a year and a half and rarely saw people with 100% hair loss from laser hair removal . What's very sad is the clinic managers truly think that their company is right and all the bad things said about them are wrong. Or maybe they just play along because they make huge bonuses when they reach certain sale amounts. And I want people to not blame the technicians, when we are hired we do not know we are being hired as sales people(they forget to mention this to you) let alone know we will be trained so poorly and then thrown into treatments and told we need to make certain amounts or we will lose our jobs. It's a very stressful job for a technician and working 8 or 9 hours a day with no lunch everyday is very tiring for us. PLEASE do not spend your time and money on this company. Please please please do not go to this company. I have seen a few ex-employees comments on this website and we are not disgruntled we are merely trying to warn people and are motivated by others comments to only put our 2 cents in. I left there a few months ago but only just now have heard of this website from a previous employee and am so shocked and saddened to hear of all the people out there who have had to deal with these things from this company. Such a shame.

It would be illegal, at least in California, to not give employees their due breaks. That is why ALC owes me over $2000.00 and a fine to the California Labor Commission. I asked for my breaks...I tried to schedule them in myself...I was shot down and told that I should be thankful to have a job. I was even told that I should be thankful to have a job a week before I was given walking papers from that job I was to be so thankful for...
You can't retain a descent modicum of ethics and work for this company too! Honest and American Laser Centers are not compatible!

I agree with amdebar 100% and I am a former Clinic Manager! I did however give my girls brakes until our Regional came in and made me stop blocking out the time for them. Our Regional was or is rather a huge coke head and doesn't care how they speak to you. I was told to stand on the street in a bikini holding a sign to try and bring money in. I'm so happy to not work there anymore. It's been over 6 months and I FINALLY feel normal again. They are brainwashing people who care about nothing but themselves. And the founder Rich Morgan is the biggest joke ever. He is such a jerk! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! THEY ARE ALL LIARS!

Whoever wrote this comment above is FULL OF ###! You are obviously a manager or regional manager because if you were a tech there is no way in hell you would get a two hour break. A two hour break is very normal for a manager or regional manager with this company because they DO NOT do anything so yeah then that would make sense! The techs bust their ### and do not get breaks unless a client cancels! As far as results go, you are also full of it. It is so obvious that you are writing all of this to try to convince people reading this that ALC is so great! Of course you are trying to sell people on the idea that ALC is great because that's all ALC is about is selling and lying! You are such a liar to tell people they will have great results by four treatments. I worked there for alomost 4 years and I do not even have 50% reduction! And I am the perfect candidate for hair removal. ALC is completely like corporate america! What are you delusional? Obviously! This is THE worst company I have ever worked for! All the managers and regional managers are on power trips, are money hungry, greedy and conieving! And I'm assuming you are one of them! I can not wait for the day ALC crumbles to the ground, which it will eventually and you will lose your job and then maybe you will realize how horrible and ### ALC is. I pity u for even thinking that ALC is a good company, you are completely out of your mind! ALC does not care about their clients AT ALL or they're employees! Please people do not go there!

The employees are expected to work hard like everyone else who has a job in this economy. If employees didn't get breaks that would be illegal. I am an employee here and have received more breaks than any employer would allow. You take the breaks when you are scheduled and when ever you need them, as long as you ask for one. This is definitely like corporate america, where they lock you in towers and make you take breaks only when scheduled. I left corporate america to work for this company. Yes, this company is corporate, but with all the perks of receiving free services and great pay/benefits. I am on salary, however when you run over salaried hours they still pay for over-time. I wish people would stop being so irrational about everything. I was a patient for hair removal in the past, I didn't receive results from this other company after 2 treatments. However, despite those results I didn't have enough treatments to comment on their service. So far, I have had over 5 treatments at alc and have had incredible reduction. I shave once a month, I probably can get away not shaving for 2 months now. Yes, some can take less or more treatments to get to where I am right now, but if I could I would pay for legs and bikini right now since I get a discount. I'm sure at one point the company may let me go, who know's in this economy? The one thing I would want to walk away from this company would be my treatments. You only have to go in once every 1-2.5 months for 30min-1hr and this will insure little to no hair growth for possibly the rest of your life (unless pregnant or extremely hormonal-patches may reappear every few years or so, but $50 touch-ups can take care of them) :) Managers are not hard on staff. Most of the technicians work in hospitals and do not understand that this is a business where all the products and treatments work. Therefore, these products must be studied and tested by staff so that they know how to promote the value of these treatments/products. Many of the managers and techmicians receive the treatments. All of my employees who receive the treatments have had a good success rate after just one treatment. 6 or more are recommended. When these products/treatments are not utilized, this is where employees allow the small percentage unhappy customers to control how they should feel about their company. Ask any employee who has had more than 4 treatments. By 4 treatments everyone, despite your hormonal/genetic beackground will tell you they have had great results. I will try to stay with this company for as long as I can. I have chosen to work the hours that I do, because it's my choice to receive over-time if I want to help the business run more efficiently. It's my choice when I chose to take shorter or longer breaks. I took a 2 hour break last week, what does that make you think about this company? I deserved it as I have worked as hard as any of you out there trying to keep your job in this economy. I have friends working in corporate america and friends working in retail, they all do not have it as good as me.

American Laser Skincare dirty office

I went in for a treatment, and there was a roach on the floor. the clinic is so dirty, hair is always on the floors in each treatment room. Managers Jenna and Mirielle don't care about anything but selling treatments that don't work. Mirielle is so unprofessional, she is on the phone with a personal call, but is so loud you feel like your in the conversation. She is always out of uniform. I do not recomend going there. the board of health should visit and shut the place down.

American Laser Skincare had to cancel my credit card!!!

Call and cancel payment with your credit card immediately! I canceled my credit card account and was able to have this charge removed because it had not posted yet—thank god. If it posts, then you will go through fraud claims and they will have to dispute it.

I felt strange about the fact that I received two calls, one saying I won $500 and one saying I won $300 and that I could get another $100 off if I came into the office within 48 hours. I scheduled an appointment for that day because i'd been thinking about laser hair removal, but asked what the deal was? Why $500 and then another $300, do you call everyone who signs up? She laughed and said, "no you won our second prize, which is really great!" I was running late to my class and made a rushed decision. She threw in laser hair removal for underarms for free "two for one package" deal. And then her math was wrong and she gave me the wrong quote and said, "oh well, someone else had $100 credit earlier today, i'll just take off another $100. " it seemed too good to be true.

Do not go through their refund process, because from others' responses they do not follow through with their policy and are hard to receive reimbursement from. You are not dealing with trustworthy business people and you do not have to uphold your end of the deal when they are clearly running a scam.

I had one treatment in Sacramento. I got sucked in to having it the same day as the supposed consult where they sell you a package with $300 off. I did not see any results at all except for a couple of burned follicles and they are still oozing and trying to recover. I cancelled my package and had prepaid for my next treatment and they owe me $318 (what they claim) out of $665 so they charged me over $300 for that first treatment instead of it being free since I cancelled. Now they say it can be up to 12 weeks for the refund. I don't want to wait 3 months for my money, and... I feel I should get all of it back! Whaddaya say Santa Rosa? email me...siriannw@yahoo.com

American Laser Skincare harassing telemarketing calls

I entered an online contest and 3 days later the calls started. After listening to the lady describe their services during the first call, I politely stated I needed to think about things and would call them if I wanted to make an appointment. She said that was great and she'd send me an email with info. No email ever came. Instead, 2 days later, another phone call. I explained how I was already called, but the person on the line didn't seem to care or undertand what I was saying. I had to hang up on her because she wouldn't listen to me telling her I was not interested. This was 14 days ago. Since then, I have been called (like clockwork) every other day and they won't stop. I asked to be removed from their call list, and they said they couldn't do that. HUH? If this is any example of how American Laser Centers operate, I would suggest NEVER doing business with them.

I've also been harassed by their marketing calls.
8am I get the first call of the day, a 2nd call within an hour and a 3rd call by the end of the day. This has been going on for several days now, 3 calls per day!

I spoke to the woman on the phone and she started feeding me lies about their 'contest'. I had read the official rules so I knew this to be untrue and when I asked what had changed, she hung up on me.

American Laser Skincare deception and negligence

Unfortunately, I too was deceived by the American Laser Centers at a price tag of $4750. $2000 for Laser hair removal lower legs, underarms and bikini area and $2750 for Skin Tightening on my face and Vela treatments to my buttocks, thighs and stomach.

None of it worked. I even have my before and after pictures they printed for me and mailed after I sent a letter to complain. I have showed these pictures to a prominent Medical Doctor who performs Laser hair removal and other laser services who agrees. I have tried to contact American Laser Center Customer Service via phone and email, but they will not respond. I contacted my credit care company and they are investigating. I really feel there need to be a
Class Action Lawsuit filed against American Laser Centers. I have emailed for information in getting one started. We all need to stick together and make it happen. Just complaining will not do any good. American Laser Centers should pay for all the money we have lost and our pain and suffering.

I spent over $4, 167 with the hope I would see a difference. They did give me extra treatments. The treatments were excruciating but I continued on. Their ads say that it is painless. That is not true. It is extremely painful. I knew the contract said no refunds but if a class action lawsuit happens I want in on it. I got absolutely no results and plenty of time and money lost. They never did before pictures but they did do after pictures. It was disgusting because I knew there was no change. In addition each tech did the procedure differently. You are correct about that. I am not happy to say the least.

So angry and disappointed about American Laser Center. I was signing my life away in about 10 minutes of my free consultation. Had 6 treatments (2 were "complimentary) because I complained about 3 different techs giving Vela Shape 3 different ways. ARGH!
Anyways, I stopped after my "4th" treatment. Not only were my photos not taken on a regular basis, but I was being measured at home - NOTHING. Then I saw a report on TV about the non-licensing of techs and that laser treatments should not be given on a suspicious mole - which I have on my abdomen - right where the Vela Shape treatments were being given. I cancelled the rest of my appointments (no one called me to see why) and filed a 30-day demand letter (Massachusetts opportunity for Consumer Protection). Of course, I am being denied a refund. Refund to me means the money they pre-charged me for and services not used. I am in a whirlwind about all of this. I am actually seeking help from a lawyer to settle this mess. I have been out of work for two years and they still had MedChoice approved me for $4, 000 limit - which they used $3858.00 of. I can't even repeat the whole story because I am mentally exhausted over this. I feel bait and switch practices were used (I had gone in for a free consultation about $89/month services). Also, I feel I didn't have enough time to read the contract I was signing. I was told that I was getting a great deal (of course, it was buy one - get one free that day) and to trust the manager - she wouldn't steer me wrong. I was very depressed and confused that day - I have never fallen for a set-up like that and I'm 54 years old with perfect credit. My husband is furious that I can't settle this account - why should he pay for it - I have no income. These people are very skilled at getting the accounts set up. If I had said I'd pay by cash or check on my application, I'd be safe now. I didn't have cash or check with me - of course, they got me pre-approved instantly. Thanks for listening fellow ALC duped customers. Yes, we must stick together. But what can we do now? Is anyone in on a class action suit - or are any lawyers reading these issues?

American Laser Skincare former employee warning people..

I recently worked at an American Laser Centers clinic in Minnesota as a Laser Tech and I would like to warn people to stay away from this company. I am not a disgruntled ex-employee, but as I've been reading all the other complaints since I quit, I realize all American Laser Centers practice the same manipulating sales tactics everywhere - and it's all true. I'm relieved to not work for such an unethical company anymore. Below are somethings I saw first hand:

First off, the pricing is different for everyone. If one person comes in and says they work as an engineer and another comes in and works at a gas station, and both want the same service, they will charge the engineer more $$ for the same service just because they know they make more money.

NEVER come in for a consultation. It's a joke. Clinic Managers are like used car sales people. They don't care about the customers needs, they just want you to spend $$ with them and they DO NOT want you to leave that consultation without buying anything. They will say anything and make false promises to get you to buy.
I rarely saw any customers get good results from the treatments and we as Laser Techs are trained to give customers false hope.

Also, for any future Estheticians looking into working at American Laser Centers, Laser Techs are really hired on to do sales (calls and all), and that's never made clear in the interview. And customers: do not fall for these "coupons" for additional money off the treatment. There's no such coupon and again, they just want you to spend $$ at their clinic.

This is not a company I would recommend to anyone. Please, stay away.

GET OUT now!...It will only get worse. I promise you that...they do not care if it is you or a monkey pulling the trigger on the machine. If you don't sell, you dont matter. Flat out. And any sane, decent, honest person WONT sell these treatments to people BECAUSE THEY DONT WORK. My last day is tomorrow :) And I get to start a job that actually lets me sleep at night...I just feel so bad for these clients. It really is heart breaking.

I am currently employed at american laser in Albuquerque New Mexico. I agree with every thing that everyon has to say, it is all true and all the companies are the same in every stste. I am being treated so poorly and I am working in a place where I am on the verge of tears every day! I have been there for 4 months and have had three different managers. I was told that my pay was gonna be lowered by two dollars because my sales were not up. I have tried so hard to do my best at this job and help the customers as much as I can. I am being honest when I say about 95% of the clients that go in for treatment are so unhappy with the service they have gotten. I am being asked to upsale these people and it is just so crazy of them to ask for me to sell them more if they are alredy unhappy. I am in desperate need to get out of this place. please e mail me if you have any info or can help me.

American Laser Skincare scam

I started treatment for hair removal on my arms in 2005 with a PROMISE that all of the hair would be removed or I would be refunded the $1, 400 that I paid up front after two years but, not to worry, that would never be the case. Initially I felt very little pain but over the months I actually had an INCREASE in hair. When I expressed my concerns I was told that that can happen if the laser is set too low so the intensity was increased and I was BURNED on 2 separate occasions leaving scars. On other occasions I would be left with stinging red spots for days in some areas while most others seemed untouched. Some times the technician would rush through the process in 20 minutes and other times I was there for over an hour. No consistency and always a new face. Because of my dissatisfaction they extended my treatments in the same lame way (but they were nice about it so I didn't want to make waves) and now in 2009, after going religiously for four years and getting about a 30% hair reduction result, I was sent a 'Dear Valued Client' letter telling me that my time was up and if I wanted to continue with treatment I would have to pay up. After tracking down the customer service number (since the number that I was sent in the 'Dear valued Client' letter was bogus) I was told by "Amber (she wouldn't give me her last name and said that she is the only Amber at ext.272) that "I am sorry for your inconvenience, but there is nothing further that I can do". She is very aware of the lawsuits against the company, by the way, and delivers her lines like a trained parrot ( I'm guessing that the phrase, "I'm sorry for your inconvenience, but there is nothing further that I can do" is a full time job for her but hopefully she is able to turn it off before she gets into bed with her significant other.)
In short, Don't Go To American Laser Centers! There are plenty of other laser places that know what they are doing. Also, don't just sit back and get ripped off, do something about it.

after 10/12 sessions every 8 weeks for nearly 2 yrs only resulted in about 25% hair reduction.
every times with a different staff and 3 differents office manager, i tried to be brave, take the pain and make my money worth but i give up on my 2300$ and won't go back there, they should be closed down.
they lie and don't listen to any complain ...and there is no refund! nice scam!

American Laser Skincare hair removal and photo facial

I have been getting laser hair removal treatments since Nov 2006. Two and a half year later the hair growth is worse than ever, I have to shave twice a day. Now I am informed by them that my treatments have expired.
I showed frustration at every teatment and was told by the technician that treatment would continue untill it worked. Obviously it is not going to work.
The same goes for the foto facial I paid for. I was told it would make a scar go away. That was the selling point. I still have the scar and no results.
We should be able to do an law suit against these people. I don't care how long it takes, they are ripping people off and need to be stopped.
I can be contacted at [protected]@yahoo.com

An attorney needs to be contacted... I hope to print out all the complaints and report them to the better business bourough for starters.I have requested copies of my records and we will see if they give them to me,

American Laser Skincare no refund

Anyone who is in the Chicago, IL area and would like to start a class action lawsuit against amer laser, please email me. [protected]@hotmail.com. They refunded most of my money but charged me over $800 for a photofacial that was suppose to be free. Even though it was written on my paper I get 3 free photofacials by Aggie at the Downers Grove location. Oh, and they refused to give me a copy of my medical records which is illegal. I wont be done with them until I get all of my money back! ~Stephanie

American Laser Skincare no hair removal

Good Afternoon!
I have been having Laser Hair Removal done on my lip and chin at your location on Cascade Rd in Grand Rapids, MI.

I started treatment in February 2008 with the understanding that this treatment was so good most if not all of my hair would be removed before my wedding day in November 2008. Well it wasn't, I had to shave my face on my wedding day! Imagine my humiliation! Because this treatment has been paid off since at least April 2008, I decided to continue with treatment and hope it got better.

Around January 2009, I was put onto a new laser and was told that if I didn't notice a difference within 4 treatments I would get to consult with a nurse, on my fourth treatment, I mentioned to the technician that nothing had changed and that next appointment I would like to see the nurse as promised, she then informed me that the former technicians had only noted I had the new laser twice, which is wrong, I know that the same laser was used on me all 3 times to that point. She continued to tell me that I was wrong. So she noted my account that I was only to have the new laser. I have been getting treatments every 4 weeks since and have not seen any improvement (nor have I talked with a nurse), in fact a year and a half after starting treatment, I have new growth! Also, the technicians would ask me how much improvement I had seen, some would ask over the whole course of treatment, so I would say about 10-20%, they would then write down that it was only since my last treatment, making it appear as if I had improvement in 4 weeks, which was never the case!

I drive 2 hours roundtrip for my 10 minute appointments and can no longer justify it for not having seen a single result in about 11 months!

I am asking for a partial if not full refund, I still have black hairs on my face, that have been treated over and over again and have not improved, my face is constantly broke out from new hair growth (and every sore has a hair in the middle of it, that I can't get rid of, so they stay forever), I now have scars all over my chin from all of the acne.

Let's hope that they listen...although based on all the other complaints out here, I'm sure they won't...

One year to the day I can say I am just as fed up as you are and for the very same reason. Their laser hair removal system does not work at all. I have been going since December 2007 and now it is July 2010. I still have all the same hair I started with.

I have been getting the removal done for eight treatments now (i am in my second treatment of the two year guarntee) I kept getting blisters and I would tell the tech about it on my next treatment and she would tell me thats perfectly nomal they go away just keep putting the laser lotion on it. I would also tell them about the horrible rashes I've been getting and she would say the same thing. I read the ingredients on the lotion and realized it contains copper. I have repediatly told them I am allergic to most metals especially nickle. They can see the rash on my stomach everytime from the nickle. So the lotion containing copper in it is where my rash kept coming from. As far as the blisters go this last treatment the blister was absolutly unbearable. It was the worst one by far. I got out my paperwork and in the contact it says "although very rare if you are to notice a blister forming please come in for a medical evaluation" I have never seen a doctor at this office before or ever even heard of one being there. So I drive 45 minutes to the clinic and its closed. I call customer service to see why it was closed on a monday a 11am and she calls the manager. The manager was sick and at the doctors so they closed the store. So I called the next day and the manager was the one who answered the phone and she said yes she would be there. I get there at 1130am and they are out to lunch and won't be back until one. The assistant manager finally shows up and I ask to see the manager because she is the one who gave me this blister and I really did not want to talk to her about it. She tells me the manager is out sick. The manager is the one who answered the phone earlier. She already knew what I wanted from where I had contacted customer service. She was avoiding me. So I have now requested a refund from their office because of the burns and I also was promised no hair by the 6th treatment and I barely see any reduction at all. I have light skin and dark hair whats the excuse on my skin? That is the perfect combination for thier laser I have been told. Now they are tellling me the truth that this is NOT permenant hair removal it is only temporary. Why the hell would anyone pay for this if its not permenant. That is alot of money to throw down the drain and a lot of pain. They told me when i signed up i would NEVER have hair there again. If I don't get my refund within a month I am taking them to small claims court. I would suggest that to everyone else as well.

American Laser Skincare liers, scammers, dishonest

I do not even know where to begin, but that I made the biggest mistake of my life giving American Laser Center my money. Erika Barry, the office manager at the Okemos location is a horrible person to do business with. She lies, is extremely pushy, has a nasty personality, and does not care about her clients/patients/customers. This company's main priority is to make money and get customers in and out the door. They do not care about their patient's well being or health. They would rather put a customer at risk for permanent skin problems, so long as they get what they want. Money. They will claim that their employees are trained and certified and that they went through an extended training program lasting months. This is NOT true. If you have done any research, you will find numerous reviews from ex-employees stating that the training lasted only 2 DAYS and that they had no idea what they were doing. The technicians are told to push the sale further and skip areas to make the process faster. This company deserves to be shut down for good, and with the class action lawsuit against them, it's looking pretty good.

The company says you will have complete hair loss in the treated areas, and that it will NEVER grow back. They guarantee that you will be satisfied with the results, and you have TWO WHOLE YEARS after your final treatment to get any touch ups that are necessary. My question is- if this TRUELY lasts a lifetime, wouldn't you think their guarantee would be for life then?! If they could tell the patients that it lasted for life, they would get SO MANY MORE customers. Obviously it doesn't if they can only guarantee it for two years. Not only that, but rarely do people even see results before their two years are up!

Who in their right mind would pay thousands of dollars, to go through painful laser treatments for THREE years risking their skin and who knows what else for no hair loss, burns, blisters, and skin discoloration.

I was given misinformation, inconsistent information and I was lied to regarding various different aspects of the treatment. I went for one treatment and refused to go any longer. I started out that I was angry because they had all my money and I had read all the horrible reviews about the treatment not working AT ALL, and then when I started hearing about permanent scarring, blistering, skin discoloration etc. I started becoming concerned for what the treatment might do to me!

If you also have been ripped off by this company, please do not give up. Bug them EVERY SINGLE DAY until you see a refund. Get what you deserve. Also, there is a class action lawsuit. Please join the lawsuit at this website http://www.americanlasercentersclassaction.com/

I agree wholeheartedly ~~~~
My friend had it done and she said it was absolutley useless, but later had it done at a physicians office and said it was night and day.
She said that that manager was just looking for the $$ didn't care if it worked or not. I had mine done at Athena right down the street and I am very happy !

American Laser Skincare - fraud, possible class action lawsuit

American Laser Skincare vela smooth treatments

I signed up for 6 treatments of velasmooth after the clinic manager assured me that's all I would need to see great results, I asked what if it doesn'y work? she assured me it always works.
Aafter 3 treatments I saw nothing and mentioned it to the tech, they said be patient but she was concerned, the next session the machine heads were not working and were changed 2x, the next session still nothing and again the heads were not working properly, the same story on following treatments, I asked to speak to the manager who is usually always at the front desk but I needed to make an appointment to talk to her about my dissapointing results, they added one addtional treatment wich was very weak in strength compared to the others and still no change, I went in to speak to the manger and she said" well you know results are not guaranteed on cosmetic treatments" and offered more treatments at a reduced cost!
I am so very dissapointed in this company, I will take this further.

American Laser Skincare complete rip off/scam beware

This company is a complete scam! Tbe services are over priced, the staff is rude, and the customer service is TERRIBLE. I signed up for services, because I was told that I had to make the purchase on the spot to get the "discounted rate". Unfortunately, I found out that the discounted rate was actually the regular price and that this company has a reputation all over the United States for being a rip off artists. I have been waiting for my $1000 refund since November 2008. I was told I would receive it immediately. Then I was told it would take 16 weeks. Now we are well beyond 16 weeks and I still have not received my money. I have repeatedly called the corporate office, however, the staff is rude and they refuse to return any of your telephone calls. Since November, I have left 112 messages and not one person affiliated with American Laser Center has called me back. I have even contacted the corporate attorney "Rhythm Manani" ext. 273 and still have not gotten a response. I would recommend that anyone considering doing business with these crooks reconsider.

American Laser Skincare medical negligence

I had a velashape attempted less than 3 months after I had a c-section. The company told me it was fine to have procedure done. They attemped the procedure and I had extreme pain so it was stopped. I have an ob doctor note saying I cannot have the procedure done and my primary care doctor saying I am not able to have this done. I contacted american laser headquarters and they did not give me a refund after giving them my doctors notes. I spoke to Kevin Peque who is in their legal department. He said if I have a dr note stating I am not a canidate that he will refund this. I was then rudely transfered to a abrupt Tony Zanlungo. Then I was told to call Robert Seffinger at ext. 210 who would handle it by Donna Seravich the NEW manager at Downers Grove. She appologized up and down and said they would refund my money. She was the only one who was nice. Robert then passed me to Eva Burse at extension 291 who told me Tony Zanlungo would handle this. I have called repetedly and noone will return my calls. If a lawyer reads this please contact me I would love to sue under negligence. Anyone else who has had this done recently we should stick together against these people who don't give refunds and don't care about the health and safety of their clients.

I have had the same problem, I could not have the procedure done because of pain and extreme skin reaction and still trying to get my money back. This people are extremely rude and irresponsible. I have talked to the regional manager and then was passed to the head of costumer service Eva Burse at extension 291. She gave no response after calling her more than 10 times and recently found out they canceled my care ticket without refund!
I would love to sue these people and the company.

I was trying to figure out how to file a complaint against Dr. Robert Seffinger b/c of the type of practices at the American Laser in Naperville. I have started to pick it in front of the building. I completely understand your frustration but you can help make others aware of the type of service that they render. Remember that the reputation of business is their bread and butter.

American Laser Skincare indaquate treatment results

After spending $2000.00 (and approximately 20 visits later) the promissed treatement results were not achieved and a $625.00 fee for additional visists was requested!

Most of the time the inexperienced treatement personell, who seemed to be getting "on the job training" were NOT using the proper laser beam strength to cause any real adverse effect to hair follicles - therefore the hair continues to grow!

Do not vaste your time and money on this American Laser Centers do not deliver!

I do agree with poor results or better yet no results at all. I bought the package for skin tightening on my stomach they did the procedure and was not pleased. When I went for consultation the district manager and manager painted it real pretty, they said that they were going to work on my stomach until it looked right. I started the procedures and about couple of treatments after they said I was all done, I was pretty upset but did not say anything and I just walked out. I would like my money back for that procedure.

American Laser Skincare vela shape and skin tightening

I came in to the American Laser Center for an opportunity to have a $50.00 facial being bought for me by my daughter-in-law. A woman named Aggie Fijolek told us that she could not sign us up for the facial until we had listened to additional information on their services available, as it was 'Company Policy". We agreed to listen. Aggie proceeded to tell us about the other services offered, and explained that they were working under "A Doctors Supervision" and that "They were highly trained." She told me that I would be a very good candidate for the Vela Shape treatments, that would be done on my stomach, hips, abdomen, and back "Love Handle" area. Also I could receive a skin tightening procedure on my forehead, cheeks, chin, and neck areas. She brought out pictures of other unnamed patients, before and after the procedures, for example. She then had us fill out a form to see if we would 'Qualify' for Financing, in case we decided upon any procedures. We did.
Next Aggie described what procedures would be best for us to have done, before any $50.00 facials, which would be done AFTER any treatments we needed. This was to All be done under a Doctor's supervision. Each technician that would preform treatments, were to be highly trained. Before I knew that I would NOT be paying the American Laser Treatment Center, yet instead a Chase Medical account, that had conveniently just been set up in my name. Aggie also assured me that my 'Husband's concerns would not be an issue as I could pay at the American Laser Center, without being billed. Aggie also stated that if we did not sign up that very day, our "Special Deal" would not be available, as this was the last day of the "Special services offered during the promotion". When we became somewhat reluctant, Aggie began offering more sessions with the Vela Shape Treatment Tech and more skin tightening procedures. Aggie quickly thrust the papers we needed to sign, in our direction and an agreement was made so as not to miss out on the promotional treatments. I was offered 6 skin tightening treatment on 3 zones of my face, one session would be given free for signing up that day, and 3 Micro-dermabrasions free of charge. I was also to receive 16 Vela Shape sessions for the amount of $2, 062.50. The Skin Tightening procedures would be at a cost of $2, 640.00, to my greatest surprise!
Appointments were set up that very day, so that I could begin my transformation. I began the first of the very painful treatments at 2PM on Dec. 9th, 2008. I was to receive skin tightening and a Vela shape treatment, of which I received only a Vela shape treatment on my stomach and abdomen area, not the hips and back "love handles" as promised. The Tech simply said she would do it 'Next Time". My nest visit was at 2PM Tuesday, Dec. 16th, 2008. This was another Vela shape Only procedure, done on the stomach abdomen area, leaving out the hips and love handles or back areas. I again was told 'Next Time".
The bruising on my stomach was incredible and shocking, yet I was assured this was 'Normal" by the person doing the procedure. My next appointment was on 1-13-09 at 12:45 PM. I received a Vela Shape treatment and a Micro-dermabrasion. Next appointment on 1-22-09 at 12:45 PM I was treated by a woman named Stephanie, who only did half of my Vela shape treatment on my abdomen, as I had complained that it "Really hurt" on my right side when she used the machine. I asked why she didn't turn it down or something she told me that "She didn't have anymore time that day" and that I said "It hurt" so she didn't continue. All my treatment were painful but they were continued and I was assured that it was normal. Next appointment on 1-29-09- was canceled by American Laser Center, after my arrival, as I had been taking antibiotics, and was told that they could not do the procedure until I was finished taking them.
On 2 12-09 I visited American laser Center for the last time, and a blonde Polish woman did the Vela shape procedure with the back done finally, and the hips.

In total I have gone to 5 appointments with only two having anything to do with my face, one being a micro-dremabrasion, and another a skin tightening. My husband then advised me to cancel any further appointments as he spoke to his personal doctor and the doctor told him that organ bruising could have happened with these procedures that were Not recommended by most reputable internists, in his opinion. I'm sure upon relaying this information to my personal physician, Dr. Barbara Loeb of Downers Grove, Good Samaritan Hospital, she would agree with his recommendation to stop the American Laser Treatment Program.

I was promised 11 more treatments of full Vela Shape on abdomen, stomach, hips and back areas. I also received one skin tightening free of charge and I was to receive 5 more skin tightening treatments, which were never preformed. I was to receive 3 free micro-dermabrasion treatments, of which only 1 was done. I never received the original $50.00 facial.

i got the same run around. i got full face hair removal in response to a tv commerical that they could remove even thewhite hairs from my face. two years later i still have the dark hair and an increased amount of the white ones. i got the skin tightening and if you dont do them once a month the skin returns to its previous state. there is no end to it and definitely no end to the skin sagging after 3 weeks from each treatment.

American Laser Skincare manager yelled at me (customer)

You never yell at the customer. I don't care how bad you're PMSing...it's just a big no no especially if you're in the service industry like these guys. Here's my email I sent to the regional manager:

Hi ‘Regional Manager’,

I was told that you are the regional manager over the Salt Lake City
downtown American Laser location, managed by ‘Inexperienced Manager’. I'd like to inform
you of an incident which should be followed by employee correction
action.

There was some miscommunication when I transferred my account from the
Draper office to downtown SLC. I was told "You don't have to pay for
parking" by one of the girls employed at the time I transferred my
account to downtown. So ever since then, I have NEVER paid at the
meter. So about 3 weeks ago when I had my appointment I got an expired
meter ticket. I gave it to ‘Inexperienced Manager’ and explained to her that I was told
that I didn't have to pay for parking. She concurred and took the
ticket and said, 'We'll take care of it for you.'

A week later I get a call from ‘Inexperienced Manager’ telling me with a frustrated tone
of voice that they wouldn't be paying for the $15 ticket. I told her
that I was told that I didn't have to pay for parking. She then
explained that I was allowed to park in the BACK parking lot. This was
the first time I had ever heard of a back parking lot. Because of the
miscommunication, I told ‘Inexperienced Manager’ that it was American Laser Centers
responsibility to pay for the ticket since NO ONE had informed me that
there was a back parking lot.

She then retaliated very rudely and said, 'Well, just so you
know this is coming out of my own pocket. I hope you enjoy your
weekend knowing that.' (Something to that effect). I was INFURIATED to
say the least. No one has ever treated me like this being the
customer.

I then called the Draper office to request that I have my account
transferred back to Draper. I also requested to reschedule my
appointment. They informed that they couldn't reschedule until they
had my chart at their office. It has been 2 WEEKS since then and NO
ONE HAS CALLED ME BACK to reschedule my appointment!

In addition to this nightmare I received a letter from Salt Lake City
informing me that the ticket hadn't been paid! As a result, it has now
been increased to $45! ‘Inexperienced Manager’ lied to me and never paid for the
ticket! THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD!

Aiming for optimal customer satisfaction should be one of your goals.
Apparently your managers do not understand that a happy returning
customer (which I was for the last 3 YEARS!) Is far more valuable than
trying to acquire more customers. They also don't understand that a
bad experience is told to far more people than a good experience and
believe me I have told close 20 people already who I am sure have
already told many more. I was also considering buying an additional
package and paying up front. ‘Inexperienced Manager’ has made my decision for me, because
there is no way that I am going back there. You do the math-you could
have received $1500 in revenue from me from the package I was going to
purchase or just deducted a minimal $15, which would have retained a
happy customer and incremental revenue of about $1485. Obviosuly no
one at your company understands the importance of customer
relationship management.

In summary I'd like to highlight the bad customer experience milestones:

1. I WAS SPOKEN WITH A DISRESPECTFUL TONE OF VOICE AND COMMENT BY ONE
OF YOUR MANAGERS.

2. I WAS LIED TO BY ONE YOUR MANAGERS SINCE SHE NEVER PAID THE TICKET
WHEN SHE SAID SHE WOULD

3. NO ONE TRANSFERRED MY CHART TO THE DRAPER OFFICE

4. NO ONE HAS CALLED ME BACK TO RESCHEDULE MY APPT IN DRAPER

Please give a call at your earliest convenience.

Thanks,

American Laser Skincare burned

The ALC is full of demons who are controlled by a very evil and manipulative person named Dr. Neel Kanase. He will bend your will to have all your money ripped from your wallet and the machines will burn your skin horribly leaving you marred and disfigured for Life. I am going to sue I think. Run, Run, Run far away. If there is a class action lawsuit, I will join in with about 13 others. I feel sorry for anyone else who fell for this sham of a doctor and his greedy company. The agony I suffer every day when I look at my face and arms compels me to sue one day. Good luck everyone. Burned!

I have been going to ALC for over 3 years. I have been going religiously every 6 weeks and staying out of the sun and I still have hair. Now the new machine has left my stomach and breasts burned and scarred. It also appears the pigmentation is gone! I have white cresents all around my body. I am deformed and embarrased to take my shirt off. To top it off, I got the lip injections over a year ago and my lips are uneven. Someone asked me if I had a stroke. THe product is not there but my lips are deformed from this procedure. They are not concerned with what I have gone through nor are they willing to help me understand what happened. I have never been so disgusted.

I am currently an employee at American Laser Centers I have been cruseh and degraded and I have panic attacks everyday at work. Every bad thing I have herd about this company is true. The peoplle who do work there are demons! They do everything they can do to lie and get your money! I have been told to lie to people and get there money. I have never done that and for that reason I was told that my pay would be lowered by two dollars! I left in tears that day and I found myself trying so hard to defend myself and beg for my pay not to go down. After I left that day I felt so mistreated and sad because I stooped down to the level of begging and crying just because I wanted to keep my job. I have been looking into all the lawsuits and complaints and I feel some relief because I know I am not alone. I feel bad for the clients who go there because I know that they have also been treated pooly and lied to and burnned! Hopefully I will be able to get unemployment untill I find another job. If you can help or have an input please e mail me.
