I had been diagnosed with Colon Cancer and needed immediate surgery to remove part of my colon. I went to my employer and ask for a medical leave due to this cancer. His response was, "Business is slow, so i need to lay you off" I said what! Joe Caicco the Owner expressed he was just not busy enough to keep me around! "HELLO" I was his Outside Sales Rep and had just picked up several new accounts due to one our competitors going out of business. We were not Slow.
This just goes to show you how MONEY can get to a person and how greed from one person destroys anothers and there family! What a Jerk!
Im a true believer that what goes around comes around and someday this guy will get whats coming to him!
You definately have a Lawsuit against this company.

Good man or not, you just dont push someone out of the picture who legitamely ask for time off to have life threatening surgery! Think About it!

I represented American Industrial Supply with Integrity and Loyalty. I brought in new customers, made this company money and Never said a bad thing about the man who fed my family and paid my wages! I had the opportunity to prove myself! Obviously I did, or he would not have kept me around after my probation period! But instead, Joe offered my family and I medical insurance and gave me a company vehicle. If you want to say that I have tarnished my reputation, then believe what you may!
My customers, Family & Friends know me better than you, or anyone else at AIS. I have been in this business since 1977, figure out the math if you can!
My reputation speaks for itself, or obviously Joe would have never hired me to represent his company!

I had only respect for this man up until i told him that I had a life threatning disease that i needed to have treated! When you make money for a company and bring in new customers, you should be thanked for your job! Not tossed out like a dead fish when you are facing crisis of your own! This was not about anyone more than my choice of living and watching my children grow up!
As you stated in your previous letter, to man up! That is what i did and if you have a problem with that, then you can Kiss My A_ _! The courts will decide who was right, and who was wrong!

I agree with UnKnown2010. Good job for manning up but I hope people learn from their mistakes. It's sad when someone airs out their problems online that might not even be truthful but can still hurt a business. I've been doing business with American Industrial for a long time & I must say that I have never had the impression that this business would do any of things this person is saying.
It is sad it couldn't be hanlded in a "Christian manner" from the get-go by ldmesa2009 & I do hope the alegations of having "Cancer" isn't a horrible lie to get attention.
If it isn't a lie, best of luck & hope you get better in all aspects of your life.
I agree with that there is always two sides to every story. Way to go for manning up and apologizing Idmesa 2009. It really is a shame. I do not know any of you but went on line to get American Industrials phone number. This is the first thing that pops up. Small businesses are a dying breed and with stuff like this it will continue to be just that. Laundry doesnt belong on the internet but handled in a christian manner. I was Mad as hell to loose my job! I was going through some tough times and yes, I wanted to get back at him, but went the wrong way about it!
If I tarnished my reputation, then I will have to live with that, but to tarnish someone elses reputation was wrong and I apologize!
Wow. This "ldmesa" guy has more problems then just this issue it seems. Some enormous temper issues are definatly showing on here.
Degrading & cursing at someone else expressing their opinion, only hinders people from believing your story "ldmesa". You where able to express you opinion, so let others do the same. You should probably not have done any of this on here, because now you are not making yourself look good at all. Because of how you are acting towards everyone & how you are representing yourself, actually makes me not believe you. I know your gunna say it doesn't matter to you whether people believe you or not, but then you wouldn't have wrote this if that where really true. I am going to check back to see what happens & I hope you update this with the outcome. It seems like there is more here then what you are saying.

That is unfortuate for your colon cancer but trying to blame other people for your misfortune is very rude and not to mention tarnishing your reputation as well. So step up and be a man about the issue and realize that talking ill fully about someone else will not cure anything.

I have also known Joe for many years & it is sad to see this person trying to get something for nothing. I've known Joe to be an extremely hard worker, has been an outstanding father to his kids & being the most generous person I know. There is a whole story on this matter and I am certain this is cannot be the truth.
Whoever reads anything from this person please just remember, slander is easy, but facts are what matters.
There are two sides to every story and having known and worked with Joe Caicco for over 15 years, it is impossible that this fabrication is true. Joe is well versed with the employment laws and ethically would never do such a thing.
Joe is an ethical business owner, generously contributes to the community and is not as this person has portrayed him. He always goes out of his way to take care of people in his business, in his community and in his personal life. He has helped me personally many times and I know of no other person who is more generous and caring.
I feel sorry that this person has had the horrible misfortune of experiencing colon cancer as nobody deserves it... But come on...wishing someone bad charma when you have cancer is just bad form. I wish the guy the best in his recovery... I hope he is able to let it go and move on.
