In March 2011 I have taken my Jeep Cherokee to American Fanatics in Benoni for work to be done on the gearbox. Mr. Redelinghuys told me that it would cost R 7000.00 witch I paid him in cash upfront to carry out the work. He has not given me a receipt for the R 7000.00 but I did not mind there he seems to be a hornets and trust worthy person to me. I have visit his workshop on a regular base like three time a week to monitor the work been done. In April he phoned me and said to me that my vehicle is ready and that I can pick it up witch I did. I drove the vehicle to Garmin to get my GPS updated but on my way there from Kempton Park the vehicle begin blowing smoke out . I stopped to investigate and just to find that the gearbox blow oil out on the exhaust. I phone Mr. Redelinghuys and he told me that he will send a breakdown to pickup the vehicle. After time he said to me the gearbox is beyond repair and that he can get another gearbox that would cost another R5000.00 but he will strip the box and make sure that it is in good condition after stripping the box he said to me it would cost another R 11500 to get it fix like new on witch I transfer the money to his account. I got the vehicle back around July 2011 and drove it for approximately (4000) km and start having problems again where the vehicle lost it's reverse gear. I took the vehicle back to him 10 October 2011. I do visit his workshop on a regular base again and every time he gave another story. I'm waiting till April 2012 for him to fix the vehicle just to find out that he was using my vehicle for 1700 km. Once I got my vehicle back there was missing parts from the vehicle like the air cleaner, spare wheel, two new batteries he just put his old battery that was not working in the vehicle he has fitted a wrong water pump and damage the radiator, He remove the electric radiator fan and just cut the electric wires of that cause the engine control to fused witch cost me another R23000 to get fix. I found out that he was advertised my vehicle for sale on OLX got the proof of all these things. I WILL NEVER EVER ALLOWE HIM EVEN TO TOUCGH MY BICYCLE OR LAY HES HANDS ON ANY VEHICLE OF MINE. HE IS NOT TRUST WORTHY. The damage that he cause to my vehicle run to thousands of rands and just to get the vehicle in running order cost my at jeep Centurion R 23000 and at American SUV ANOTHER R18000 TO GET THE ELECTRIC WIRING IN WORKING ORDER AGAIN AMERICAN FANATICS IN BENONI STAY AWAY IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE RIP OFF
