American Cash Rewards Scam

I got a call--[protected] from a Robert Smith claiming that I won around 4 million dollars. After speaking with Robert Smith, he said he was going to put an IRS agent on the phone. I told the supposed to be IRS agent that I did not believe him and he hung up on me. This Robert Smith thought I was a senior citizen. I suppose I am, being 58. I did not reveal any personal information and just let them talk. I tried calling back and was told by a computer that international calls are barred. I got a call back later and they wanted a $400.00 fee to release the prize money. I told them to give it to somebody else. Robert smith said his badge number is 124ACA. Somebody needs to stop this people from scamming seniors! Thank you! Mary McHenry

These people did not like what I had to say...because the called later that evening telling me that we met at church, and I said I did not go to church. He then changed his mind and said we met at Walmart and would like to become friends and take me out to dinner. I said I was married and thanks for thinking of me and hung up!

American Cash Rewards Annoying Scam

I have received numerous phone calls from a caller who sounds like he is from India. I have won 1.5 million dollars and of course he wants my bank account number. I did not fall for this scam and I have told him repeatedly not to call anymoe.

I am on the do not call list. Why do I have to contend with this?

OMG...They don't give up! I have been getting calls for the last few weeks with different amounts that I have won? Hum-mm; first amount was 5 million and a car. Second was 3 million and a car. Now 1.5 million and no car. I should have fell for it when the getting was good, the 5 million LOL. Well the good news is. I thought if it sounds to good to be true it is!. I had even told Mr. Robert Mcgee that this is a SCAM, how DUMB do you really think people are. I had also told him my ex is a cop and that the call was being recorded, he did not seem to care and continued with his lines of BS. I told him that I had got the green dot reload card with the amount of 350.00 from Walmart as he had asked, but, really did not. I wanted to see what the next step was? Just as I had expected he wanted the confirmation number on the purchase slip. I told him he was not going to get anything of the sort. Mr. Mcgee then explained he needed it for the IRS and two men needed to deliver my package. How big could this package be it is a check and why two men? He seemed to have an answer for everything, but, I kept asking questions. He replied " You don't have to worry this is NOT A SCAM, you will be jumping for joy when you get your money I swear on Jesus name". Mr. Mcgee went as far as to have Chris Love call me and identify himself as the CEO of Caesars palace in Vegas, and he wanted the number on the slip ASAP. I told Chis LOVE, you really need the 350.00 that bad? I know times are hard right now for a lot of people and many may fall for this S***, but, I am not one of them! Well the moral of the story is, who ever theses scam artists are, they really think us AMERICANS are really stupid. The men that have called all have had middle eastern accents. "BEWARE OF DOGS" they can bite a hole in your pocket. DON'T FALL FOR THIS. Always listen to the inner voice, it will not steer you wrong...

Try filling this out:

http://www.fcc.gov/complaints

I don't know if it will work but if you tell a telemarketer to stop calling and they don't, you can sue them. Try pointing that out next time ;)

American Cash Rewards fraud

Dear India

I found your contact info on one of the complaint boards and I hope you can help me. On 11-05-09 one of the sales reps (scam artists) code 012 came to my door I explained to the boy that I didn't have the money but I wished that I could help him in some way he went on to completely lie to me stating that I would have 3 weeks to cancel and that all I had to do is call the # on the back of the sales receipt I'm on the line with them now (specifically a MNGR named Donna) and she is proving to be useless. I am furious! On the back of the sales receipt it states that--- YOU MAY CANCEL THIS TRANSACTION WITHOUT ANY PENALTY, PROVIDING YOUR CANCELLATION FORM IS RETURNED WITH A POSTMARK OF NO LATER HAN THREE DAYS FROM THE ORIGINAL DATE OF SALE, INCLUDING SATURDAY. I had my cancellation request in the mail at 5am the following morning!

Now I'm being told that I need to provide proof of payment within 6 weeks from the date of payment!? What happened to the line above where it states without any penalty? Please let me know what can be done about this in the meantime I'll be contacting my bank.

Just won 7.5 million from - you guessed it "American cash rewards". So, I feel slighted, no car - doggone it. In any case, the number was not blocked so I called back to confirm the number. and spoke with the same fellow. I am on the DNC so I filed a complaint with them. I suspect it was a waste of time but oh well. I have to wonder if these boys and girls go to a special class to learn to speak so poorly.

Wow...I won 7 million and all I have to do is pay some tax fee of 350.00 by going to Walmart and buying a gift card in that amount, then when he calls back I am to provide him (Jon Coop) with the respective numbers. Then their local persons will deliver the cashiers check (Cheque). Sounds pretty simple huh!...so now that I'm soon to be on easy-street we'll be seeing y'all in the Bahamas! I'll be the guy drinking a Margarita with my head up my [censored].

I have just received a call from a david gray who stated I won $17.000, 000 and a 2020 hyundai concord accord. he gave me wells fargo number: [protected] opt.#2. they gave me a verification # and the price to have it delivered would be over $6000.00 plus $230 for delivery. I am very skeptical that this is a scam. david called my number back so I told him not to call again that his job might be compromised as well as a federal offense issued as a scam/fraud caller. I have not followed this anymore than what I just mentioned in this paragraph.

These people just called me as well American Cash Rewards. Maybe i would believe it if there was at least one good review but then again, why would anyone leave a review if it actually worked out for them? I did read a review above that someone did send the money and they got scammed so as much as this sounds good, people work hard for their money and shouldnt be scammed this way.

Guys name was James Carter and said i won 950k dollars and a new mercedes benz 2019 E class but i had to send 550 dollars by doing a walmart to walmart transaction to Sherry Mitchell in Lester, West Virginia. Luckily i came to this site and didnt do it.

Thanks for this website...All of these complaints sound too familiar...names, techniques, etc.. I have gotten numerous calls from 876 exchanges..always Jamaica...when they realize you know this and learn not to answer their calls, they resort to using USA numbers, many of which cannot be called back...their approach is to offer you X# of dollars, BUT you have to pay some kind of "storage fee", insurance fee, etc.. their Rules, seem to change too often! I have learned that they will call from a particular #, and if you don't answer, they will call from a "restricted, unavailable #s..i have learned to block these calls...There is a list of numbers somewhere that they use to wear you down with calls, if you resist their calls...the only catch is even if you call the number back immediately, it is a Non working # ! Another way to ID them is by the "English" they claim to speak. Grammar is woefully lacking...anyone with a 6th grade education can pick up on this. the bad thing is that I have had to change my phone # several times to escape their annoying calls.
Another warning, they have the tech ability to use a machine that can change the sound of their voice. often you cannot know if the name given to you is really their name! Just be wise, and don't give out your personal info.. it will be used to do unbelievable things, and you will be stuck with cleansing up the Mess! Last note- if you have a computer, go to your web search, and type in the name of the company they say they represent, i.e., this web site, and you can read how others have also been deceived..
Thanks to this website for allowing the space o vent my disgust...and please pass this on to Seniors, especially...KO'd2

I just received a call form a man who called himself Omar Davis, From UPS, Swepstakes Clearing House. The call came in from a RESTRICTED number and when I tried to call the number back it was a number from Jamaica. He said I won 955, 000 and a Chevy Tahoe. he gave me the company number, which was the phone number he gave me, saw it was a little strange there. He told me it was no game, no gimmick, no joke, what a laugh. Then he told me I had to pay 1percent in taxes! Telling me I had to pay him 360dollars, when I told him I don't have that on me right now, he told me to ask friends or family and I could pay them back double, and said he went to church and believed in god.. I told him NO thanks and hung up on him. He called again, and I told him I was not interested, he said why are you wasting my time? i hung up on him. I received another RESTRICTED call, and I said hello, and it was obviously the same man talking, he said hello [censored]...I hung up the phone. Hope they lose my number.

Sad this scam is still going on. Same company, American Cash Awards. Caller ID showed the call as restricted. Person's name is Michael Spewart. I won some money which had to be delivered by certified mail through UPS which required my signature, but he will be the one arriving in person. Does not make sense. UPS will never call you, they leave notices. I asked how did I come about winning g so much money. Reply, from shopping at Wal-Mart your name was entered into a drawing when using your debit/credit card. This makes me nervous, because immediately I think my car has been compromised. Then the man asks if I was a senior citizen, which immediately I realize this as a social engineering. Never verify any info, always have the scammer to verify what info they have on you. Example, they could not even tell me the address they had on hand for me, only that I live in Dayton which can be gleaned from the area code of your phone number. So feeling good no compromise of my bank cards, and no knowledge of my address, decided to throw out a bone to see what else these scammers do. I mentioned the IRS, and being legit, and requiring physical paperwork in case they lied. Response was IRS will take out 33% of the winnings. No can do, I would never agree to that. I asked what did I need to do to claim my prize, they said pay a fee. What, a fee for a prize, not happening. Free is free, no strings attached. Please avoid verifying info to these scammers, make their life a living nightmare by turning the tables on them and harrassing them for your prize they claim you won. Hard to track these faceless scams down, and by the time there is physical evidence, they have moved on with scammed profits. If it is too good to be true, it usually is.
