I purchased a vehicle from this dealership on October 26, 2019. I have yet to receive the registration for this vehicle. I went to the tag commissioner's office in Fulton County and they stated they have not received the information to issue my registration and tag. They offered me a temporary tag which expires Jan. 9, 2020 and I am at risk of being pulled over for not having my vehicle registered. I use my car for work and if I lose it I also lose my income. I'm not interested in driving a car illegally and would like a refund (without penalty) for the amount of the down payment used to purchase the vehicle so that I can get a new car elsewhere.
manager unprofessional and rude
The General manager Cory or, "the head huncho", as he called himself, is the most disrespectful, unprofessional, egotistical individual I've ever spoken with. I'm appalled at what little regard he has for his customers and his team. He may not care, but this has lost them potential new business from myself and others that I've told. That's money out of your employees pockets. My car needed servicing so I called ACC and was told I could take it to any Firestone or Pep Boys, that's it. So then I called Firestone let them know whom I was with and scheduled an appt. Fast forwarded, Cory and his team dropped the ball by not properly educating me on this process, as I was new to ACC. I called ACC per Firestone and Cory was placed on the line. He cut me off repeatedly and was so RUDE while talking to me and the reps at Firestone. The manager at Firestone told me to get my acct info, he'd handle it on Monday, and I could leave. I had the money to pay for it but it's under "warranty" and I wasn't supposed to pay. When I asked Cory, HH, for my account # he got smart again and told me its on your red folder, I said I don't have it so can you give me the account # as I asked, and Mr. Cory Head huncho didn't like that. His little man syndrome kicked in big time! He sounded like everything BUT a GM. I guess Cory's a billionaire with no problems. He was so nice while getting my business but now that you have it.. Don't worry after this no one I know will EVER do business with you AGAIN!
lemon vehicle
My wife and I purchased a vehicle, 2013 Ford Escape on October 2019. Within 3 days, the vehicle has check engine light on with the reading of low on coolant and started overheating. I made contact with manager who told me to take it to only to one of the 2 places on the paperwork. Went to the first place and was told it'll be 3 weeks before they can even look at it. The shop was completely empty of any vehicles. So, we went to the second place to where they kept the vehicle for almost 5 hours. After the first 3 hours, I went back to the shop and watch through the big glass in the waiting room for two hours just to see the man sitting in that shop with his wife and kids eating lunch. Finally was told all it need was a little coolant and it was good to go. After 2 more days has passed, the vehicle has done nothing but overheating and unusual weird sputtering in either the motor or transmission. I have for the past month call the company's warranty office and left numerous messages with no avail of anybody calling us back. I really want a full refund on down payment including all payments made including insurance we paid on it as well as my wife's losing income.

It seems like every time I call to make a payment or discuss a payment I have a different sales rep every time and I can call anybody to make a payment but if I have any other questions or any other complaints I have to wait until my sales rep contacts me and my sales reps never ever contact me or when I tried to contact them they are never there I am late on a payment and I have been trying to get a hold of someone for over a week now it just seems like nobody is ever there to answer any questions I have And there is always a different sales rep that has over my loan every week or every day it seems like I just feel communication is terrible with American car center

Bought a car from them as purchase, was not I formed it was a lease, also tube down payment was doubled. Paid it off, then was told it was a lease, to buy the car would need 3000 more, informed them It needed Bout 2000 dollars to fix it let them know, w ok old pay it off with retirement money if i decided to keep it she said okay. Last night they came hooked up to it pulling it from the back tearing out the cou t end (really dumb people) didnt really want it was just trying to work with them, already paid the lease off (more than it was worth. THESE PEOPLE ARE LIERS A SCUM STAY AWAY FROM.

Issues started to arise once American Car Center decided to tow my car (then later claimed it was a mistake). I've spoken with the dealership where I purchased my car and they've claimed they've got nothing to do with this situation. the sad part is the I use to work with them(I used to work for American Car Center). I've called many people, they all left me at their voicemails without answering any of my questions or give any solution. I've called plenty of times and nothing has came back to me. I've called cooperate and received no response. They kept switching me into different lines until they hung up on me at the end. Is being like this since 10/14/19 till today 10/22/19.I did a police report, but because the said the was a legit Repo, there's nothing they can do about it. now nobody wants to respond for their mistake.my car was open at the repo yard all the seat are wet, the car smells really bad. the check engine light is on. this is a lot of stress n headed.
leased used car
I went to american car center and obtain a vehicle thinking I was buying it only to find out I was leasing it. The price for my car is 26, 000 and I have been trying to trade it in but the leasing company wont give me the correct payoff amount. I dont want to be stuck with this car so what should i do. To whom this may concern my name is Annette I have had my car for a year and 6 months my car has been in the shop for 2 weeks cause the engine went out I didn't have no problems until they shut my car off when my daughter was driving leaving her in a bad area on the side of the street I paid what I owe to them and I still don't have my car American car center is unprofessional they get your money and still don't have my car I have to pay gas money out to get back and forwards to work this is unfair to all customers who get cars from them to be treated with no respect
any way we all can connect and see if we have some options for filing a lawsuit to be let out? I am totally disgusted and can't seem to find a way to get out of this lease. It is a trap for sure.

I have a complaint I would like you guys to know about. In the contract it stated that I pay you guys every two from my paycheck not when I get pay an extra week from my job that is not in the contract. I also got me a lawyer to review my case so you guys will be hearing from my lawyer in a couple of weeks. You are just taking an extra payment that I don't have to pay for.

my. name is Carlos de la Cruz martinez I have 2 months waiting for an Answer from you first the transmission was damaged and then the same day delivered that same day the engine was damaged I have been dealing with you since they told me not to pay because they were waiting for the decision To change it, they told me to wait until I damaged my credit. I am very upset with the co-corporation and I do not want to enter into legal terms. Social security are [protected] I can't wait any longer I'll call the news here in Tampa and I don't want to get to those situations please do your job is not just 2 months walking to work. Thank you
making payments at that location
Last 3 times came to make payment with money order for car note the women taking payments wasn't here not dropping in drop box because I want a receipt I shouldn't have to wait the lot open 9 to 6 Monday to Saturday I understand she can't be there all time but some one else should be able to take payments or give me receipt for payment then I would drop it in box this lot doesn't care about customers time this matter and issue needs to be addressed and fixed
harassment & being threatened
To Whom It May Concern, My name is Diane Edmond and I have an account with you all. I'm writing you to inform you that if the harassment and threats to disable my car at anytime don't stop I will be contact legal assistance. You all have not once but numerous times stated that my contract that I have is incorrect but I have never signed or received another contract. I made my first payment that I was suppose to pay on June 29, 2019 on the the 28th of June with my account representative at that time which was Brian or Brent. Now I'm been harassed by you all and being told my car will be disable if I don't make another payment that was due for May which was told by me and as of my contract was never due in May. I will be attaching a copy of my contract and whatever else I have to show you all the proof. Now if the calls and threats don't stop I will also be suing for that as well. Because I have 2 children and me and my husband both have jobs to make it too everyday and now with y'all threatening to disable our car that is making us stress about driving the car. Same here. They're full of crap this place needs to be shut down false advertisement. The account reps or disrespectful as hell. They call all day they don't wont to help with anything. Its the pandemic everybody is not working they are not willing to help they only car about the money. I'm going to take legal actions against them soon as I get the right person. And numbers to call.
I also leased a vehicle from them, I was told it was 500 down as I am signing paperwork they slip in a deferred amount for a down payment of another 500 which I was told would be automatically drafted like all other payments. The two deferred payments were 250.00 and my lease payments 207. They didn't draft it, then started drafting my payments per the contract, after it was figured out that they didn't take the down payments, they started taking the lease payments for the down payment and which then made it look like I wasn't making my lease payments and repossessed the car. They are rude, harassing, unethical, scammers, I have filed a consumer complaint with the state attorney general for consumer fraud. They need to be shut down, they prey on people who for lifes reasons have less than perfect credit. They have 284 complaints with the BBB for last year alone. Like there needs to be a federal investigation into their lending practices. Nothing on my sales contract is true, nothing, the amount down, the payment dates.. Absolutely NOTHING!
I feel the same way you do about American car center they have been doing me the same way calling with the harassment about disabled my car my car has been in a shop they had it towed for two weeks no response about fixing my car I’m so tired of been lied to
the company
American car center has done nothing but gave me a hard time, confusion, and headaches. Every since I got this car from them they have been unprofessional, POOR customer service, and no one doesn't like to answer the phone when you need service. For a whole month I been trying to get in touch with my accountant and she still hasn't yet contact me until this day. Then they make you pay to change your due date to another one like what type of stuff is that! I get a hard time with these people every time I get on the phone. Then when you call one person they tell you one thing but then when you call someone else they tell you something totally different from what the first person told you. The company is just confuse and don't know their job at all! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO NOT GO TO AMERICAN CAR CENTER. I would rather get a bike or walk before I go back to them, so please rethink about getting a car from them if you are considering about going here.

Ever since I have been dealing with American Car Center/American Financial (ACC/AF) its been the most unprofessional experience ever. I purchased a 2014 Chevy Malibu from the Covington Pike location March 2018 with the Salesman Andy. ACC/AF is not honest about what they are getting people into. They prey on people with little to no credit and are only concerned with getting people's money. I put $2000 down but still had to pay an additional $500 before my bi-weekly payments of 236.02 started. Shortly after I got the car, I accepted a new job being paid semi-monthly. After I informed my account rep at the time (Dewayne) of my new pay schedule along with my offer letter that he requested he states that they don't have a process to change the due dates and had the nerve to suggest that I just pay the late fees on the weeks that my payment is not due. I even tried to double up on my payments because I felt like bi-weekly payments are unnecessary. I paid $463 for 3 months until I realized my due date were still jacked up. I paid on a Friday (2 payments of 236.02 = $463) and on my receipt it said my next payment is due the very next Friday. I called Dewayne for some explanation and he tells me even if you double up on payments you're still not paying monthly. He says accounts are paid every 14 days, so if you do make a double payments you're only paying it up 28 days... In addition to this, when I first attempted to trade the car in after a year I was informed by ACC that the contract is actually a lease not a loan. Meaning, once the set amount of payments are made to satisfy the lease I could either give the car back and walk away or pay a $3400 residual for the title. If this was explained before I signed the contract I would have never given them by business. This company needs to be exposed. I will send this story are direct all local media and news to the other horror stories people have encountered by doing business with this dishonest company.
my vehicle
I have had my vehicle since March and have had problems every since. Nobody will help was told to keep driving the vehicle no until it gets worse! Take in mind it keeps trying to cut off. I have a 3 year old and if me and child get into a car accident because of this matter. I am suing because this damn ridiculous! I wish I never got a car from there!
So since it’s a leasing company if something goes wrong with the vehicle they are responding for fixing it correct? Or that’s a matter you have to fix on your own ?

Absolutely the worst customer service EVERR ...warranty do not EVER ANSWER THE PHONE AND IF YOU DO LEAVE A VOICE MAIL THEY STILL DO NOT GET BACK TO YOU .MY CAR BEEN OUT OF SERVICE FOR ABOUT 2 months trying to get in contact with them even the people at the car lot is unable to reach them my WHOLE EXPERIENCE WITH THEM HAS SUCK all I have got since day one is lies and incorrect information and bs I ABSOLUTELY HATE IT AND WOULDN'T DARE RECOMMEND THIS PLACE EVER.
tag registration
I moved and have been trying to get a new tag. I have been given the run around by Krystal Hart and other representatives in this company in Tennessee. I sent emails to Krystal Hart requesting necessary information. After no response back I sent a follow up email. Krystal Hart said that she was still waiting on a reply. I called American Car Center Friday to inquire more and was told that I couldn't speak to a manager. I stated that I was following the contract in requesting a new tag. The representative said there was nothing that could be done despite the contract. The representative stated that I would be transferred to another department then the phone disconnected. I tried to call back two or three times more but no luck in reaching help. I was angry at that point. I called American Car Center in Mississippi to speak with a manager. I explained my situation stated that what was going on was unprofessional. He told me I needed to talk to my case manager and I did. The case manager stated she didn't know I was requesting a new tag because no one else in the company has notified her. I have more to add.
service department
Service department is horrible, my transmission went bad, I was told that I would need to pay 50% of the repairs before they can begin working on the car, not only that I also have to pay car note. Now that I paid the up front costs these people still haven't attempted to fix it. The service department has a lot of lazy people sitting around collecting checks.
