American Automobile Association [AAA] past to present towing connellsville, pa

On 12/28, I called AAA at 5pm for my Jaguar that was overheating due to a broken hose. They stated AAA sent me a text message that a technician was dispatched at 5:09pm to my location, Days Inn in New Stanton, PA. I called AAA at 7:09 because I had heard anything and no driver had arrived. They said they would look into it. I received another AAA text at 7:35 that the driver would be there shortly. At this point, I had to get a room at the hotel. I walked outside at 7:55 and there was a driver in the parking lot and he was just waking up in his truck. He was very rude and said he was there for a long time but I was not contacted to say he had arrived and since the temperature was under 10 degrees, I could not stand outside and wait for him, I was just in the lobby waiting. He did deliver the car to my house, however, he parked it in the middle of my alley to where people could barely get past. I've never had any issues with AAA before but I would suggest not using this towing company to represent your company.

American Automobile Association [AAA] tnt towing and transportation az

I called AAA for a tow because the car throttle got stuck at 70mph which rendered it un-drivable. This turned out to be a factory recall so the car needed to get towed to the nearest dealership, which was the Galpin Mazda in Prescott AZ. All AAA phone employees were extremely helpful and sincere, plus the TNT tow driver arrived earlier than aaa predicted. However, Eddie the TNT tow truck driver listened to our explanation of the car, took the car keys, and told us to go on ahead and he'll be coming soon. The drive took us 30 minutes going within the speed limit. We waited for about an hour, but had to go, so then I called aaa. The aaa agents contacted TNT towing to contact the driver, the company said they could not get in touch with Eddie but he should be about 20-30 minutes. After 50 minutes I called aaa again trying to find the car. At that moment the tow truck finally arrived at the Mazda. It took TNT towing over 2 hours for a 30 minute drive. I received a call from a different TNT tow truck driver requesting payment, when I asked about Eddie he said he had to send Eddie to another dispatch and his name is Terry. Terry took our payment over the phone of $150. About 30 minutes later the Mazda service department called to say that the TNT tow truck driver had kept the key - I don't know if it was Eddie or Terry- and was going to bring it back shortly. The service department could not start working on the car until the keys arrived. This morning we were informed that the keys were dropped off in the after hours box, much later than the TNT towing company had told Tony from the dealership. The Mazda mechanic was there yesterday ready to work on the car- which was sitting in the service department- but won't be back till Tuesday. I was helping my mom move so the car is full of her home and belongings, besides that she will be carless until Tuesday in a new town. This is not the way to treat people or do business. My experience makes me wish I had not used AAA since it let me to such a disrespectful and irresponsible company. It makes me want to cancel my membership. I STRONGLY recommend that you remove TNT towing and transportation from the AAA roadside assistance service. I will be contacting the TNT towing company to inquire about why the drivers changed as well the irresponsible behavior. Please reconsider your partnership with this shady business.
Thank you.

American Automobile Association [AAA] delayed roadside assistance

Hit by an 18 wheeler, AAA came switched the tire, car was still not drivable. The service left, so we called back, stuck on the side of the road 2 hours from home, no emergent AAA service. Called at 4:00 and there has been no contact from AAA regarding dispatch. This is disgraceful and 2 hours later it is 6:25 and we still have not received information from AAA. We have called several times and no one has come yet. This service is terrible and there is no excuse this should be as priority as anyone else. We are on the side of the road in an unfamiliar place. My family and I will be switching from Triple AAA to another road side service. I am disappointed with this service.

American Automobile Association [AAA] towing

I had to call this morning to have my son in-laws truck towed I was driving as it just quit. the tow truck driver used a regular tow truck and lifted the back of the truck while the 12 miles he was towing it the front tires were locked. Now the bill on the truck to be fixed is 2000 dollars because he destroyed the front end by doing this. Rich and Rich out of Homer NY did the tow.

American Automobile Association [AAA] denied tow claim.

We have been contesting this claim since May of this year. We live in California, we were traveling through Wyoming. Broke down, water pump went bad, at the top of Teton Pass. After advising tow operator we need to go to nearest facility, was assured by operator and Wyoming Highway Patrol, Jackson Hole was closest. First denial was a letter stating over-mileage for a "AAA Classic Membership." After contesting this was then told claim denied due to our pickup with a slide in camper is an RV. Was assured by agent our pickup, even with a camper, is a pickup for towing purposes. I cannot find any language that addresses a slide in camper! Am being told the language about a towed camp trailer applies. Is AAA really going to lose this long time customer (since the late 60's) over a $787.50 tow bill? Unless this is resolved, I will be shopping for insurance to cover my towing, auto, and home insurance needs. Bye Felicia! Member, [protected] / Auto, CAAS205136549 / Home, HO6220420. American Automobile Association [AAA] van horn towing

The driver, Lyle, lit up a cigarette in the tow truck and when I told him I was pregnant and asked him not to smoke in a closed car, he responded, "So? I'm going to smoke." And he proceeded to smoke his cigarette with the windows rolled up.

Secondly, we told AAA we had our dog with us during the initial call. When Lyle arrived and saw the dog he said the dog would have to ride IN the vehicle being towed ON the tow truck. We weren't about to do that and thankfully we had a police officer with us who told him that our dog needed to ride in the tow truck with us.

American Automobile Association [AAA] a change in itinerary without notice.

Booked a motor coach cruise for April 5, 2018. After receiving paperwork (approximately 2 weeks later) the itinerary for our cruise was changed without notification from AAA travel. After talking to an agent, I felt, "take it or leave it" not AAA fault, Royal Carribean changed the itinerary! I asked the agent if we could get on the motorcoach cruise leaving January 11, 2018 ? She called me back in about an hour or two, and told me we could get on that trip for $400 more each person.(group pricing not available) So we asked for a refund. No problem there. We booked our trip for January 11 through Royal Caribbean ourselves . Very frustrating!

American Automobile Association [AAA] customer service

I went into a AAA store yesterday in Hershey to simply switch the title and registration of a truck in which I was buying with a gentleman. The woman in which was titled a "Members Service Representative" was extremely rude and condescending towards me. The man in which I was with inquired about purchasing a AAA membership, because he previously had been interested. He also asked if he did that now if we could get the discounts. She told us I would have to be the one with the membership because I was the buyer and that I "probably wouldn't want to do that". She than made the comment that I might want to go do the title/registration at Penn Dot where it was cheaper because she could "tell money was an issue". I am not exactly sure where in which these comments were coming from. At no moment in time did I complain about the prices or inquire about a cheaper option. I don't know if it was because I was dressed in a sweatshirt, jeans, and boots or that I am a shorter woman or that I was home with bronchitis all day and didn't bother to put on makeup and jewelery to come switch a title/registration. I didn't think I needed to impress an emplyee at AAA. She continued to talk to the gentleman with respect and down to me like I was a young, insignificant person who shouldn't be wasting her time. I tried to ignore the condescending attitude and way in which I was treated, but the more I thought about it the more upset I become. I am a highly educated, highly respected woman with multiple masters degrees in my field. She has no idea the economic status in which I represent. I honestly was so taken back by her condescending demeanor that I was left speechless. She made the simple situation of switching a title/registration embarrassing and stressful for myself AND the seller. The seller apologized to me multiple times and made the statement that he had no idea why she would speak to me that way and could only guess that she thought I was young, because I look younger. He also made the statement that he was going to submit a complaint about our experience. Needless to say, he didn't become a member nor did I after the experience we had. If it had been earlier in the day I would have also went somewhere else to complete our transaction. I am extremely upset, insulted, and annoyed by the experience in which I was a part of yesterday. I have never been talked down to before or treated in this manner. This woman assumed I was young, insignificant, and in a lower economic status...she couldn't have been more inaccurate in her assumption.

American Automobile Association [AAA] I am complaining about a driver

This driver left the tow truck on with the emergency lights on blocking the street to get off and buy some tacos. I asked him to move the tow truck and he answered back so rude telling me to go around when there's cars coming the opposite way. I find it ridiculous for a tow truck driver to do something like this when there is available parking down the street. Let's not mention his rudeness and way of talking to a female. I hope he gets punished as necessary. Makes me wonder if I still wanna keep my policy with AAA. Such a disrespectful irrigant person to have as an employee.

American Automobile Association [AAA] towing

I called AAA around 5pm because I needed my car towed. I was told that the tow truck would be here within the hour. At 7:30 I called back to make sure that the tow truck was coming. I was told that the tow truck company could not provide me with any information. The AAA representative told me that when she called, that the tow driver said he couldn't talk to her and then hung up. The AAA representative told me to call back if the tow truck did not call me within 10 minutes. They did not, so I called AAA back and was told the driver was 20 minutes away, around 8:30pm. The driver never showed. At 9:45, over 4 hours later, a tow finally came. He told me that he was not the original tow truck assigned to me. I don't know what happened to the original company assigned to me, or what would have happened if I never called AAA back. I just don't think waiting for over 4 hours was necessary.

American Automobile Association [AAA] customer service

Well let's start by saying this whole HUGE issue to begin with is AAA fault. I signed up with AAA in Jan of this year. The agent added coverage that I did not approve. I didnt realize reealizthe issue until later this year. They did agree to credit my account the overpayment. Well I received a letter stating that I paid to much for my premium foe the year. Therefore, they issued me a check for the overpayment. I was hesitant so I verified online and it stated that in fact my policy had been paid in full and had a zero balance. Two weeks later I am notified that I have a balance of over $300 due on my policy. I contact AAA once again with questions and confusion. If AAA issued me a refund check why do I now have a balance do? If I had even thought for a second that this might have been sent in error I would have NEVER cashed it. The response from AAA customer service agent is Im sorry ma'am but it was a computer error and legally we can not "charge off" their words not mine, amounts off the premium. They also stated that I owe them that money. Its not my fault AAA screwed up once again. Why should I have to "eat" someone else's mistake?

American Automobile Association [AAA] customer service representative

I called to for a tow truck telling the rep my car will not start and it's either the alternator or my starter. After she got all my information the call dropped. She called back questioning if I hung the phone up which was unprofessional instead of saying sorry the line was disconnected etc. She intentionally sent me a wrong truck which couldn't help me causing me to be outside for an extended period of time. This was very unprofessional! She needs to be reprimanded and retrained. My member id # is [protected].

American Automobile Association [AAA] two employees

Hi,

I'm emailing to inform you of an incident I just had with two of your employees. I'm a paramedic in Alameda County and my partner and I were parked outside of Safeway and as I was walking back to my ambulance two of your employees started harassing me making drug references and asking if I "can give them some of the good stuff". They were parked in the Safeway loading dock smoking cigarettes. The license plate number for the AAA car they were driving is 95155A2. It was the Safeway in Oakland, CA off of Broadway Street and it happened at approxinately 1:00pm on 11/20/17. I'm not sure what your policy is for handling this kind of stuff but I thought you should know because it made your company look extremely unprofessional and made me feel very uncomfortable.

American Automobile Association [AAA] road service

Yesterday afternoon at 2:30 I had a blow out on our RV. Called the number on my AAA card. I was told that my location would be found by finding me using cell phone towers. I could opt out of that but decided that was the best way because I could not pinpoint my location exactly. I was told that somebody would be out to put on the spare tire by 5 pm (2.5 hours later). Shortly after 5 pm I was told that the repair service was instructed to go to Alpena Michigan, but we were in mid-Florida, some 1400 miles or so away. It just so happened that a wrecker was driving by and offered assistance. Not wanting to wait another 2.5 hours, I hired him to the tune of $75.00 to change the tire on the RV. Need less to say, I am very disappointed.

American Automobile Association [AAA] homeowners insurance policy

Dear AAA,

As a AAA customer, this past few days, I have experienced the worst of AAA Customer Service and in the manner the Company operates.

I got a letter from AAA dated Oct 20, that my policy will expire on Oct 30 if i don't make a payment, I called to verify and sure enough I was told no payment was received.
I Called my Mortgage Company JP Morgan Chase, I was told the check was mailed to AAA on Oct 23, 2017 With a Check # 634131, they did also check and i was told that the check has not been cleared or cashed by AAA.

Two days later I got another letter dated Oct 23, 2017 with the old Insurance Policy, I decided to call AAA again to see if this means AAA got the payment, again, I was told no payment was received. I asked to them to check maybe the payment was posted to my old policy #, I was told No again, By now I have spoken to Haily, Derek, I also had left my Insurance Agent Michael Jordan who never returned my call, and I spoke to Eva Szabo, in length, she told me she will call JP Morgan and settle the entire matter and she promised to call my back no later than Friday Nov. 3, 2017 she never called me back, and Per Eva, that I should not be worried, even though my policy ends on Oct. 30, 2017 that i had a 30 day grace period and that i should not worry my policy expiring. Today Nov, 6 2017 I got a letter from AAA saying that I no longer have coverage and that my homeowners insurance policy has expired. I called to speak to someone who i don't think was interested to talking to me anyway, all he did ask me for my first and last name and my zipcode I was told i had no other policies except for a fire insurance policy which expired in 2011 - I asked to speak to a Supervisor, i was put on hold for Excalation Q for 21 Minutes, Alex the supervisor answered the phone, i gave him my information and he checked and i was told yeah your policy is expired... By Now I'm thinking Why is this my job to do, Don't you think AAA and JP Morgan should be calling each other to figure all this out. Shame on you AAA... I called JP Morgan again, I was told they will overnight a new check to AAA to cover my policy. Again Shame on you AAA.

American Automobile Association [AAA] emergency tow service

I was left stranded today 160 miles from home. I feel that I was not treated fairly. I purchased a truck for my son october 23rd as a surprise birthday gift. I test drove the truck and it ran smoothly. I drove it for about 20 minutes around watsonville. I came alone as I had planned on this being a surprise so I asked if i could pay for it and leave it with him until my son's birthday on the 2nd of November. We actually later scheduled pick up on the 3rd of November which was today. I met the man whom I purchased the truck from at his work at 412 riverside sr. In watsonville ca. I brought my son with me to drive my truck and planned on taking his truck home. I drove it down the street a couple blocks and it died out at the stop sign. I then drove it back to the work place of the man I bought it from and went to get gas to see if this would help. It still ran but died out and I was afraid to drive it home on freeways as if it did die out again it could be dangerous. I called for a tow. The truck is registered still in the man's name I bought it from and he gave me the insurance card that went with the vehicle to get us home and I planned on switching the information over the following monday. The lady that called from dispatch made arrangements then asked if it was registered. I told her i just purchased the truck, but it is registered just not yet in my name but i had all the information needed. She kept saying it was non op. I said yes its not working now, but it was. She then said she could not help me and that I would have to pay another company to have it towed. I called my brother to help me call them as i am contracted under him through triple a. He spoke to someone who informed me to call back and reschedule the tow and that there would be no issue. I did, i explained what happened and he said he would order the tow and there should be no issue. After another half hour (it had now been 2 hours stranded) I called back to check the status of my tow. While on the phone the same dispatcher called back saying that we had already spoke and she will not tow me. I told her i felt she didnt let me explain and that the whole situation was frustrating. I explained when I bought the truck and she again kept saying non op and that if I purchased it, it should be registered to me. I asked for her supervisor and after I was on hold and she spoke to her supervisor for quite some time she connected me to her, her name was Sherry I do believe. She then kept telling me the same thing, the truck should be registered in my name if I owned it for over two weeks and since I JUST BOUGHT THE TRUCK I cannot have it towed as this is "not what your service is for". I just arrived home, leaving the truck in the parking lot hoping it willstill l be there when I return.

AAA covers the person not the car, so it shouldn’t matter who it was registered to as long as there is a mechanical breakdown. It does need to be plated and the inspection sticker needs to be valid. Aaa will cover you in a rental car if it breaks down...that would would not be registered to you...something is not adding up.

American Automobile Association [AAA] roadside assistance

Bought a running truck on 10/23/2017 left the truck with the previous owner because I needed a ride to get it and previous owner said he would detail it before I picked it up. Went to get the truck today and it was running rough and kept dying. I called my aaa road side and they said since I just bought it I wouldn't be eligible for a tow said I bought a non running vehicle but I did not buy a non running vehicle it was running very well when I purchased it and the guy I purchased it from drove it to work today so he could detail it before pick up. Now I'm stuck with a truck I can't get home.

American Automobile Association [AAA] repair shop 7422 thunderbird rd phoenix az

On October 28 2017 AAA towing towed my vehicle due to the malfunction of a part on the engine the tow truck driver was very nice but in the process of taking me home convinced me to take my vehicle to the AAA repair shop. I originally wanted my car brought to my apartment where I was dropped off. But the driver promised me discounts and a tow home if I decided I didn't want them to service my car. The following day a person named Tim from the auto repair shop contacting me by telephone and proceeded to give me a really long list of their recommendations of what needs to be fixed he told me if I didn't get these things fixed it will not run my vehicle runs fine it just needed one part replaced. I had asked Tim if they could look over the entire car and he proceeded to tell me it would be $55 I said okay continue with the job. He then contacts me the following day on October 30th and said I needed to take it to a body shop and the cost of the repairs would be tremendously over the value of the vehicle. On November 1st I contacted Tim at the repair shop and told him I needed the car towed back to my apartment AZ the driver from the first temple had promised 10 at this point. Very rude and said I could have it towed to any place I would like but I have to pay $55. Informed him of what the driver had promised and he paid no attention to my words. So I informed him that I will be Towing it back to my apartment soon and I would get back to him. The following day I contact my own tow company and they go to pick up the vehicle I spoke with Steve on the phone when my vehicle showed up the tow company that I had hired had informed me of how rude AAA repair shop was to them by throwing them my keys and cursing at them. Steve then handed over two pieces of paper none of which what's the proper paperwork for a 3 point inspection That was supposed to be done on my car. When my car was delivered to me by my tow company we then noticed that all of a sudden I have no brakes I have brakes when I broke down but I have none now I will never recommend this company to anyone I will never receive services from this company for they are unprofessional rude and uneducated I feel like if I would have let them repair the rest of my vehicle I would be putting my life in danger by driving it they have no concern human life and the safety of the other drivers on the road. This was the worst service I have ever encountered.

American Automobile Association [AAA] paying deductible for hit and run

Hi,

I've been working with the local office to have my vehicle fixed after my car was hit in a parking lot. After playing phone tag with the claim service representative for 2 months (not for lack of calling her during her office hours) we finally scheduled a time to have someone come to my office to to give me a quote for a repair. I had asked to have the person call me when they were nearby so I can direct them to get to my car, and the person called me 2 days beforehand to confirm at which point I asked them to call me when they're almost at the destination on our scheduled day/time. On the day of the appt, I called them 45 min after they missed our window and he had no idea who I was. Once he realized, he said he was on his way and would call me back. He called me when he was on the other side of the office complex, and whereas this might not sound like a big did it is highly inconvenient when I'm scheduling meetings around this appt. When he finally found the correct side of the building where I was parked, I did what he asked to turn on the car to check for mileage, etc. He asked me to drive the car forward out of the parking spot so he can do a complete walk around, at which point he pulled the front bumper (the damaged area) so hard I heard a snap, and when I got out saw that he had pulled a 5 inch piece from the bumper. I took a picture, wondering if he had further damaged the bumper. After driving to my husband's station later (he's a firefighter) he had to remove the entire piece of the front bumper because all 3 firefighters at that station agreed it was unsafe after the piece had been broken off. Remember I had been driving nearly 2 months with the damage but after the adjuster broke it further, it had to be removed. The total damages were approx 6 times the amount he had written the quote for, which I attribute to the adjuster breaking it further. Additionally the claim service representative failed to communicate with the body shop despite their best efforts to get an update quote (she said because the adjuster in the area had changed) so there was quite a bit of back and forth and an extended time that my car was in the shop. In the end, I have uninsured motorist coverage and do not believe I should be liable for the deductible that I have already paid. The claims manager I've been working with informed me that it's a law, if I cannot prove who hit me then I need to pay, however when I google the law I come to find that that was a lie. I've also spoken to numerous people who have informed me they were in a similar situation and did not have to pay the deductible. I've had a horrific experience dealing with AAA (even the girl who took my information when I reported the accident was less than friendly) and would like to think that if I complain something will be rightsized. When I further pushed back on the claims manager, he would not acknowledge that the adjuster had ripped a piece from my vehicle (although I had told the claims representative when it happened as well).

I am so upset about the situation that I might reach out to the business bureau or local news station. My family and I will not be renewing our insurance through AAA .

Please let me know what can be done. I've attached photos for your reference.

Thank you,
Heather

It is required that, in such situations, the deductible does apply.
