Amateurmatch / Take money then big let down

1 United States Review updated:
Contact information:

I paid the subscription fee after receiving so called contact emails. I replied to these emails and got no response from any so called member. It seems the company just pick a "member" at random then send you an email to try and get you to pay again so you can respond and when you do once again nothing. I wonder how many people are being taken in by this. I hope after these complaints are logged that some action can be taken even if it is just a review of the company practice. Take my advice please stay away.

When I joined for free I received over 30 contacts from women. Then I paid and contacted almost all of them and heard nothing from anyone. I never heard from anyone the whole month I joined for. NOT ONE!

I signed up for Amateurmatch free and recieved many many emails from other members supposedly. I finally after 2 months decided to upgrade to a regular membership. NOTE: THIS WEBSITE IS A SCAM!

As soon as I joined, I sent many e-mails to different people trying to meet new people. First things first after I signed up, I stopped recieving e-mails from other users. This is the biggest indication that the site is a hoax. Not one user that I sent messages to have replied to me.

Second the sites chat room is VERY UNUSER FRIENDLY, and hard to talk with others.

Third when in chat rooms, communication with real people was ok except for the fact that almost EVERY WOMAN you talk to first will ask that you to chat through Yahoo messenger. AND THEN THEY DO THEIR BEST TO TRY TO GET YOU TO SIGN UP FOR A DIFFERENT WEBCAM SITE. All the women I talked to have done this to me and the first one tried to get me to sign up for the same webcam site more than once with different names.

EVERYONE BEWAR OF THIS SITE, IT'S A SCAM!!!

I agree, most if not all of these sites are scams. I signed up for a free membership with Ameteurmatch and within the first three days I received so many messages ( too many to count) from women in my area. At first I was tempted to upgrade my membership but a friend warned me about these sites. Not just this one. I had many requests for my Yahoo messenger id. I edited my profile stating that I was not interested on chatting or " cybersex ". Despite my requests the onslaught of requests for my Messenger id increased!! I also realized this site was a scam when all the women in my area were from the same area within a 30 mile radius! This was a warning sign for me. I never paid for any services nor will I ever, these people should be investigated. All of them!!!

Yup. I suspected that AmateurMatch.com is a scam, and did not give them any money. I can't be sure, but they appear to be trying to scam the naive who do not understand how software can be used to manipulate the internet ...and possibly those who are also a bit illiterate, and can't read between the lines. I suspect that a team of humans are churning out their very entertaining emails and profile pages, but some fairly amateurish software is broadcasting their phony emails with little attention to... as swindlers used to say... "targeting the marks".

Why do I think so? Well... I signed up for a free account, but did not put ANY info on my profile page. Then I received over a hundred emails from very flirtatious women. In addition to the implausibly high interest level, the email was suspicious for many reasons. The women's photos looked just way too good. Even the girls who were "slightly overweight" had pretty faces that resembled movie stars, like Debbie Reynolds (in her younger days--LOL). Worse, too many of the women were displaying photos in various stages of nudity. Not realistic, guys! More suspicious, all writing was just way too enthusiastic and polished. Real women are rarely that educated! ...and not that forward in an initial email! Further, they all used a similar style of writing, making me suspect a professional writer was hired to generate the email text. But the clincher was that most women emailed me to tell me that they thought we had something in common, because they liked what they saw in my profile. But my profile tells NOTHING. LOL!!!

Did you guys get that kind of email? Their writers are very creative! But they are broadcasting emails blindly. A very clumsy phishing scheme, indeed. I suspect that human writers are producing these gems of creative writing but some fairly unsophisticated software is broadcasting the emails, with no regard for plausibility.

I read previous reviews from other writes about this site. Not only did I hardly hear from the respondents that ellegedly expressed interest, When I was almost being suckered in by the bombardment of female respondents, I tried to re-join; funny they would not except my credit card info to reactivate. I called (via credit card bill), was on hold for a long time, and each and every time I was disconnected within minutes. To add insult to injury, When I did speak tp a rep, he said there was a problem with the system. Time to leave. and I wonder if fraud can be charged here. OK it is a sex meeting place, but it is still fraud. Your thoughts.

DONT THINK THERE IS A REAL RESPONSE COMING OUT OF THIS SITE AT ALL!! BEWARE!!! THIS IS ONE HUGE RIPOFF!!! THEN EVEN GOT A NIGERIAN MONEY LAUNDERING SCHEME EMAIL FROM ONE WHO ACTUALLY DID HAVE AN EMAIL ADDRESS POSTED... GO FIGURE!!! ;>)

i agree with everything everyone here said about ameteur match, i had 700 ( female buddys ) buddys on my lists, and messages every day, but no one ever followed anything thru . nothing works on the site, its terrible, the chat room, the im line ( except the cam girls could always come on somehow ! ), sometimes the buddy list, the notification system . so how would u ever be able to contact anyone anyhow ? they have a thing called OC s, if u look in the upper right corner of many girls ( in calif anyway ), u will see a small oval symbol, which says OC, if u click on that, it takes u to their contract, which openly states that the OC s or online cupids are phoney planted women, like employees, to keep every one ' stimulated ' ( IN OTHER WORDS ... coming back ! ) with all the money they should be taking in, you would think they would make the site work properly to please their customers ( unless they arent planning on being around long ! ) and they rarely respond back to u if u send them a qstn . also, there are never any of these women around when i go on, or they are on for 5 minutes it seems and they leave. check ot the OC s . PHONEY ... they should be investigated and sued ! put out of bussiness !

It is easy to find a way into Amateur Match. It is free, lovely ladies in the most amazing poses, great make up, *** and legs. The photos are staged and set to provide marketing at a hot beat. The works shared back in messages keep one on the wait for more information... I joined for several days before reporting it was a scam and my bank recovered the charge. It was a learning experience and another lesson in the way to find a woman is in person with a body in motion instead of sitting in a chair wishing with hope for an easy way to make a connection. The best way is in person. After all the minutes I put in review and comment this is a length of time. I had a few messages back and was unable to contact about 75% of the women who contacted me. I reported this and the note from the assist team was the same one through 5 responses back to me.

Find another way to meet your friend.

I am a paid member, and in 3 weeks received around 30 requests to meet, to which i replied imediately, but never received a follow up msg. i thought this was strange and contacted A.M 10 times asking them to contact a few of the women and ask if they received my reply. They just sent back stupid pre written responses. All of the e/m's i received were different and they looked and sounded very genuine, yet when i tried to do a search of women in my state not one of them showed up. I do believe some of these were genuine as some of the women complained that all though they e/m'd men no one replied to them. Ihave sent 2or 3 msg's to all the women who contacted me. Idid receive 3 replies back to my 2nd msg to them but have not heard back from them again. I've tried every thing to contact them. In desperation i posted my private e/m address on my profile, but only received msg's from obvious scams. Ithought this site was too good to be true.

I became a paying customer to this web site about two months ago, before actually start paying i had the free version and hundreds of emails were coming to my page, couldnt open them or reply until i became a premium member. Once i did tht all emails stop, only a few here and there...most of the woman i emailed would only write one sentence, always saying, lets talk more here before getting in touch by any other way...emailed same ladies for almost the same amount of time i been payin, none of them wanted to get in touch by phone or by regular email, never mind meeting...i cancel my susbcription and i posted how mad i was about the whole fake site, and they deleted my introduction and everything else i wrote...explain to some of these fake bots tht i was leaving cause i was disappointed, i swear all of these ladies wrote almost the same thing...i like you, please renew...give me more time, i dont have a cel dont know how to use one and such crap...i have until the nineteen of this month to actually be out, and im so happy...waist of my time and money...had more luck in craiglist than in amateurmatch ***...i would like more man to know about this scam, is totally fake, this woman if they are really woman only ntices man with stuped lines and false hope, so man keep hoping to meet and of course keep paying...wake up guys, dont join tht ***...im warning you they will steal your money

I tiried signing for amateurmatch .com place...created a profile and everything ...just to see how real the effect of the website ..and to realize if its true wat they say ...checked my hotmail.com to see if i got any mails ..it turned out i did ..tried sending messages and to my response i got a mail in reminder that my delivery failed ...i started to get frustarted wondering how is that possible i get mail from women and they watsoever can't recieve mine...until later i understood...i gotta join into their membership...but wen i looed at the prices i almost fainted ..not literally just fell in shock overall...how expensive there offers can be...in the beggining this service amateurmatch.com seemd interesting to me at first to...and so hopeful...like watever u wish could actually turn into reality...not realizing i been wasting my time ...and energy for nothing...instead i decided im not gonna get myself a membership..can't afford the amount of cash they expect just for the fun and pleasure they promise...most likely its lies that well represented in a way to fool people and get them disappointed or if even by an access to their mind ...make them believe its worth putting effort until ...once they fall for *** ###...and remain dubfounded ..acting lost about the condition or situation they let themselves in thru accepting the scam of innocent so called to be bs...anyways thats all i gotta say...oh and one more thing ...this one time i talked to agent ..and everytime their agaents switch to different ones ..and really aggravated me for not answering my questions and not being straightforwarded in explanation of reasonable matter ...so i must say i *** agree all the way 100% wothout a doubt ...thanx for the reminder ...i now need to learn to observe first the webiste before submitting to their offer ...outta their own purpose as so it seems they tend to have a reason to fool people ...sincerely ...Dre@m Catcher

I am a divorced single man and kept getting requests from women wanting to meet me, so I tried the free version of the site and suddenly began receiving all kinds of romantic messages and attractive photographs from women near my age and my neighborhood that interested me. So I gave them my credit card for a one month trial and soon discovered that this is really just a porn site in disguise with all kinds of erotic videos playing every time you enter it. Every email I sent to these women was either never responded to or the response was just like some kind of a canned message that was vague and only trying to lead me on. I first tried to cancel on line, but the site kept rejecting me stating it had no record of me, so I phoned them and after a very lengthy wait time, I cancelled with a "Fred" on 7/14/2011 and requested a cancellation confirmation by email which he promised to send, but never did. So I called my credit card company voicing my concerns that this merchant will continue to bill me and ignore me. They told me, they could do nothing unless the merchant cancels. So I cancelled my credit card account and requested a new card and account number.
