Ally Financial duplicate withdrawal - unauthorized

Ally bank took TWO wire transfer withdrawals (a duplicate) from my Credit Union, when I only approved one. To make matters worse, this caused an OVERDRAFT and overdraft fee by my CU. And now it just so happens to be month end, when all automatic bill pay will be also debiting my account.

It is VERY unsettling that as of this time NEITHER of the transfers are showing up the ALLY site. So I guess I am just expected to TRUST they will be there on Monday, which will make for a very unsettled weekend. According to customer service it takes 3 days to show up. Having DOUBLE my money in limbo is creating much stress for me. On my ALLY accounts I only show the one *Pending* transfer. If I had initiated TWO, would there not be TWO pending transfers?

Also according to customer service it takes FIVE days to send the money back. FIVE WORKING days. That is totally unacceptable when it was their mistake, and as we all know wire transfer can be done in one DAY.

I opened this CD to test how ALLY would do and I guess I don’t have to tell you that ALLY FAILED is the outcome of that test. I had planned on making a much larger deposit, but now I am very thankful I did not, or I would be financially bankrupt when my monthly bills are due. When I think of the consequences of that I get very upset.

They closed my CD account with nearly $100, 000.00 and sent me an email afterwards. While I "believe it was my thief wife, I still don't know because ALLY wasn't interested.

Ally Financial over charged at the end of lease termination

I am a former gmac customer and have never been charged for any additional wear and tear. When gmac switched over to ally by no choice of mine they have mailed me a final lease termination bill for the amount of $1221.56, which included $171.00 for a tiny little scratch, 59.70 for over mileage, 660.86 for 2 payments of $330.43, and $313.86 in lates fees which adds up to this amount. I have called Ally in regards to this bill and disputed the amount for the small scratch $171.00, and the late fees which add up to #313.86. A representive named Karen called me in response to my dispute and stated I owed over $1600.00 and she will settle the acount for $1400.00. First huge problem to address here is the final bill was $1221.56 in which I disputed the additional charges, and now I come to find out I owe over $300.00 more. I am very upset with the experiences I've had with this company. They are extremely unprofessional and disorganized, they are trying to rip me off and I will not tolerate it. My final bill should only be $660.86 plus overmileage for $59.70 which adds up to no more than $720.56. Please look into my complaint asap I appreciate your time and prompt response. Thank you.

The representative is telling me that I have no rights, that I signed the lease agreement and therefore any damages that are incurred between when I drop my vehicle off and when it is inspected (this was 8 days later), is my responsibility. She also told me there is no dispute process and hung up on me. I am gravely concerned with these business practices as I was given no prior information from my dealer, GM or GMAC (now Ally) about pre-inspection. Furthermore I dropped my vehicle of in Guelph and it was inspected in Ayr 8 days later and they are saying there is a 28-30cm dent in the rocker panel at a cost of $740 plus HST. This was NOT there when I dropped it off, and the end of lease rep at the dealership specifically said she had nothing of significance to note on the vehicle's condition. Who is watching my vehicle during transit and storage? No one, yet I signed off a now uninsured vehicle to a company that is putting the onus on the consumer after they have taken away my rights as an owner. What do I do?

Hi, I am going through the same issue right now, they are trying to rip me off too! They have a picture which is a shadow and they are telling me that is is a dent. I will dispute this until the end, all of their customer service reps are nasty and I am even more upset that I re leasesed with them, if I only knew!

Ally Financial ally - no fax, email or mail confirmation of changes

BEWARE! Leased 2010 SILVERADO thru GMAC - now ALLY - Ally MAILED out incorrect registration information *rec'd by customer 5/9/2011. Stating 2010 SILVERADO registration expires 7/2011 and can no longer be driven after 7/2011, until registration renewed. THE TRUTH IS: The NJ REGISTRATION expires 4/2014! After calling ALLY Customer Service, you cannot speak to ANYONE in the leasing department. (1st call connected to the Phillippines, asked for Supervisor, was given supervisor in Phillipines. Asked to be transfered to USA. USA no different). ALLY took "VERBALLY" the Registration expiration date of 4/2014, they verbally told me the change made in their system! ALLY would NOT fax, email or mail confirmation of the month & year change from 7/2011 to 4/2014. ADVICE: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH A COMPANY WHO CANNOT and WILL NOT DOCUMENT (via email, fax or mail) ANY CHANGE TO YOUR DOCUMENTS **THIS INVOLVES YOUR HARD EARNED $$$$. Cannot imagine giving them money to invest in CD's offered by ALLY...YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Ally Financial fraudulent business practices

After Ally told me I was approved for a home loan, I went ahead and put earnest money down and paid for a home inspection for the home I was approved to make an offer on. These things cost me $2680 and after spending this money Ally changes their mind and tells me I am no longer approved for the home loan. I am now out the $2680 and I am reporting Ally to the Better Business Bureau and I am telling everyone I know not to try and do business with them! I just wish I had read all the other reviews from everyone on here who have been screwed out of money by them! Don't let yourself become another victim of Ally's fraudulent business practices!

Ally Financial dishonesty

I had an auto loan through Ally for a 2009 Chev. The truck was wrecked on 1-26-11 and declared a total loss by Shelter Insurance. Insurance got the payoff amount from Ally shortly after 2-11-11, however Ally would not fax, mail, return calls, or cooperate. The amount wasn't able to be paid off until 3-23-11. Then Ally billed me for $78.67 more. Insurance called them on 4-6-11 and Hera, an Ally employee, said that insurance had overpaid by $120.89 and that would be refunded to me, the customer. I called Ally to get that over-payment applied to the balance owing, and Ally had changed their story (two days later) on 4-8-11. They now deny the over-payment and will not answer any of my concerns nor will they let me speak to Hera again. The Ally employee, Hans, hung up on me after 65 minutes on the phone (mostly me on hold). I am filing this complaint because of Ally's dishonesty and failure to use their computers, employees, and information to resolve issues.

Ally Financial auto loan

Please If you do Loan Buisness with this company make sure they send you the Account logs for thier system, Due to the system will keep innacurate files and will apply charges without due reasoning.

I have had this company, I have had payments made 2 months in advanced and had late fees applied dureing this time frame, with thier Customer Service stateing that they do not have to acknowledge this and will not correct what the system has done. This is even from thier esculated Services. They have sent me full reports verifieing this.

As well they are not prone to keep any agreements after takeing service fees, they will up front agree for an extension and charge the service amount, however will not apply the extension in any form to your account and claim that the service was your agreement to just pay fee. without them haveing to keep thier end of the agreement.

The customer service relations is there to upfront just what numbers tell them, They will not acknowledge any fualts with thier system even if its shows that the system has done so in error... Also have had reps refuse to look at the full account claiming that its not thier job and do not have access and will say nobody in the company has acess as well. They refuse to give any other contact information, I was transferred several times and also hung up on due to they could not explain the issues with the account and would not fix the issues.

If you are with this company I warn you to leave it immediatly for any errors that they will cause they will not fix. research into the lawsuits of major figure names will show this as well. for they have lost many lawsuits to this.

i have been facing similar problems with ally and sued them. In the discovery demands we requested list of similar complaints. ally refused to produce any documents so now my lawyers have filed a motion to compel. Ally has damaged the credit of its customers, misapplied funds, and charged unjust fees. i think everyone should file complaints with their Attorney General, and every consumer group available and join in and fight them. please contact me if you want to share your story. We are conducting depositions next month and i would love to throw anything in their face that i can allyfinancialsux@gmail.com

I am having exactly the same problem. They never applied my payment sent them the docs from my bank now they say I have to send them my complete checking account statement for the last three months? What has to happen for a company like this to be stopped. Everybody this is what we have our government to thank for. They continue to allow banks and other companies to merge and get bigger so they cannot be stopped they do what they want and we just keep paying. When will we the consumer get together and stop this? PLEASE SOMBODY TELL ME

Ally Financial - wrongful repo

My son financed a car through GMAC/Ally about 7 months ago and I co-signed for him. On December 12, 2010 a drunk driver hit him and totaled the vehicle. The car was towed to a storage facility who notified Ally that it was there. We had State Farm requesting the vehicle be towed to a repair shop for visual inspection but when I called the storage yard I wa...

Ally Financial harassing phone calls from [protected]

For the last several years I receive constant phone calls from a credit agency calling itself "Ally Financial" (at least that's what pops up on my caller ID) looking for someone that does NOT live at my residence. I have asked them repeatedly NOT to call my home and fill my answering machine with unwanted comments/requests regarding someone else's credit. They apologize, promise to update their records, and the calls stop...temporarily. Within a couple of weeks, the calls start back up. My number is registered through the National Do Not Call Registry and I have filed repeated complaints and have even changed my phone number THREE times now. The calls still continue unabated. What can I do to get this BS to STOP!

Interesting. We too have an unpublished number and are on the do not call list. My first call from them looking for a neighbor! I'm definitely going to send a complaint to the FCC. You may also want to contact your State Attorney General's office and log a complaint too. They are there to protect their citizens from such harassing calls. I just hope we don't start getting regular calls from them!

Ally Financial discrmination

In the Late Sixties or early seventies, test was taken to prove how separating one distinct group of people from the other can distort their ability from learning. The test was give to; elementary students, middle student and some adults. The groups were blonde hair blue eyed children and adults along with dark haired dark eyed students and adults. The dark haired children were told that they could not play with the blonde children and the blonde children were told that they were superior to the dark haired children and the were not to communicate with them. At the end of the day, they both were tested and the dark haired children of whom many of them were smarter than their light haired friends, tested poorly. the scene was switched around this time with the dark haired children were the superior ones.
This test was given to the middle schooler and some adults with the same scenario and results.

This lead to my complaint. In your commerical all of them, the first one being with the little blonde haired child and dark haired child. The gentleman asked the dark haired child did she want a pony, and she said "Yes". Then he asked the blonde haired child and she responded the same way the other child did, but, he called out a real pony. The look on the dark haired child face was to familiar to me. Then the other two shows the man (1) inviting the dark haired child to ride a bike, the prohibits her from going outside the measured marks. (2) taking the eggs from the child who find them.

Now, I am not sure what point your bank is trying to make, but I can tell you one thing, it does not invite me, an Afro-American, to open up an account with your bank.

I hope that you would dicontinue these commericals for the good of everyone that watches it. Because it promote one group of people being superior over another.

Thank you for listening.

It is unfortunate that people believe Ally's lies regarding how ethical they are. They are still GMAC Mortage, the most unethical "bank" on the planet.

The US Government gave 14 Trillion dollars to GMAC Mortgage in bailout money when the Fed declared them a bank to qualify them, even though they were not a bank. GMAC Mortgage never repaid those bailout loans and are now 56% owned by the US Treasury.

After the Government bailed them out, GMAC Mortgage foreclosed on more homes than any other mortgage company, resulting in plenty of wrongful foreclosure lawsuits against them. No one bailed out the US Citizens, and Ally Financial proved to be an “Ally” to no one when they robbed the nation from the top and bottom.

During the Mortgage Crisis which they were partially responsible for, GMAC Mortgage were unable to properly answer their phones and rushed to hire a completely untrained staff who remain poorly trained to this day. Customers waited months for customer service. Most either got none, or got service so poor that it may have been illegal.

Suddenly they have decided to rename themselves and to take advantage of their “bank” status with online bank accounts.

Your money will be FDIC insured, but will your conscience allow you to lend your money to the people who are more responsible for the collapse of our economy than anyone else?

Really, it's a commercial, and simply a joke... The point of the commercial is to advertise, and show how Ally is different from some of the potential unethical behaviors of other banks and businesses.

Your complaint shows the problem with our society today.. I mean don't get me wrong, I'm all about equality for everyone, but damn... We used to have a little thing in this country called "freedom of speech" that our founding fathers died for, which, thanks to the smiling savages that have taken over the government, is diminshing each day. These days, it seems like everytime someone says something, or every time you try to have a good time, it has to turn into a bunch of politically correct [censor]. I mean, everytime theres a little joke on a show such as South Park or Family Guy, someone gets pissed off and has to sue over it..

Ally Financial sanctions fraud

I have a friend that has had two ACH transfers requested from fraudulent Ally bank accounts, and succceeded in stealing near $50, 000. the second account was a new account and only 3 government agency's had the account numbers, the theif is wise and well, Ally Bank unofficially sanctions identity theft, you would be wise to contact your bank and have a permanent stop payment on any ACH transfers requested by Ally Bank, then again if you have stole someones identity, and they have a great credit rating, you can steal freely from anyones account that you can supply account numbers to if you open an ally bank account

Ally Bank offers CD rates that they do not keep. You buy a CD, they lower the rate, hoping you won't notice, and if you do, you get a customer service number that always offers to "forward your request to the research department" and they'll "call you back in a week". This has happened OVER and OVER again. Now that my CD has matured they are trying to stiff me on the interest rate originally promised and underpay interest. ALLY BANK IS RUN BY CROOKS.

Ally Financial tv commercials

The tv commercial with the pony is the worst! Besides being mean and unfair and creepy, I am most bothered about the chuvanism, the discrimination against the plainly-dressed dark-skin girl, and the continuation of the female beauty syndrome many girls and women fight against--weight, hair color, make-up, plastic surgery, etc.

The white, blonde girl wins over the minority girl.

The boy who gets the cardboard truck or the girl who cannot ride bike out of marked area are annoying, but this pony commercial contains insidious messages.

There is a hidden, subtle, and injurious message here, that is close to evil.

You can "contact us" at the Ally Bank site to express your dismay over this ad campaign.

OMG! You cannot be serious!

"discrimination against the plainly-dressed dark-skin girl, and the continuation of the female beauty syndrome many girls and women fight against--weight, hair color, make-up, plastic surgery, etc."

It's a commercial, PLAIN and SIMPLE.

It's amazing that minorites keep drumming up the "race/minority/discrimination card" for anything and everything.
Blaming someonelse for their short comings.
"dark skinned girl" Are you color blind? She is WHITE, and is NOT "Ethnic". No matter what distorted conclusions you have come to.

And on a further note, the current workforce is now 50% male, and 50% female, so I guess soon I can claim discrimination?
I didn't think so..lol

How about you spend your "quality time" with your children, instead of trolling the internet, posting baseless comments, showing everyone your warped state of mind. Time to comprehend that when you point the finger, you have 3 pointing back at you.

Ally Financial tv commercial

Ally Bank commercials which taunt children are vile, tasteless, corrupt, and just plain disgusting. They should be banned from the TV airways. Just how cruel do you want children to grow up to be. What a poor example for fulfilling the tenets/creed of this organization which I guess exist to serve the public? This Ally Bank commercial projects a heartless, mean, and pitiful organization, staffed by individual's who meet the same charateristics!

I am very upset with the Ally Bank commercials. I agreee with others. The word that fits is taunting these children. I change the channel as soon as one comes on. I would never use this bank's services or promote them to anyone else. Children, at the age used are just starting to figure out who they are and how they interact with others. It is disgracing that a bank would stoop this low. Very upset and would suggest you change your marketing tactics.

I totally agree that the commercial is tasteless and a very bad example, I crunch each time I have to look at it. It is disgusting and a very bad example for our children and grandchildren. The adult in the commercial portraits a hurtful attitude towards the child! Please, remove this ad!

These are not all child actors. Some of the kids were selected form a casting call out in a New Jersey elementary school. So what you are seeing are genuine reactions of disappointment, anger and sadness--all from prepubescent children. Who is to know what the effects of not only being tricked by a seemingly trustworthy adult, but also by the parents who shooed them into the casting call. And lets not forget the ubiquity of these commercials-- a constant reminder for these kids of their being deceived by adults for the world to see. Can you gaurantee these kdis aren't feeling humiliated? Can you gaurantee these kdis aren't being picked on or ostrasized for unqillingly playing the fool?

The moral blindness evidenced here makes perfect sense when you consider the source-- A GM-created loan agency desperately attempting to shed all association and responsibility for contributing to the financial collapse of our economy.

It is not at all about the children ladies, get passed that elementary observation. It's like you're lokced into limbic "feelings" mode with no possible relief of logic.

This is about the white male figure doing the bad things, the tormenting, the power over, sustaining of disadvantage over of any group, whether children, minorities, women whatever...get a grip...that is the sterotyping in these commercials.

The commercials should spread thet blame around, having black women as the power figure, wise latino females...like Hollywood showcasing them as judges and authoirty figures in all other media representation. Be consistant I say.

The lastest Commercial concerning the ice cream is worse than all the others. I did not think they could get worse. My husband and I turn channels when any of your commercials come on. Please remove all the commercials concerning the children. They are cruel and disgusting. Thank God, most of the adults in the world do not treat children this way. The commercials are not funny, but very offensive. We do not think the commercials will help your business, but will discjourage people from doing business with a company that adults as mistreating children. Shame on you.

I find the ads of the children disgusting. It shows the adults mean, lying, and unfair to the chidren. I think they should all be taken off the TV. I would not deal with a bank or any business that treats children or adults that way. Shame on your company. Surely someone can create commercials that are not offensive.

I totally agree with the complaints about your exploiting children's innocence in your commercials. Using children as pawns in your commercials, by making them look stupid and taking advantage of them is disgusting.

Well, with all the crap Ally Bank pulls on kids, there has to be a pony in there somewhere.

The damaging element in the adds is that they use a white man to issue the trauma to the children.

In this day of the media & Hollywood showcasing minorities as judges, as authority figures beyond their percentage in society, gender activism, no one is complaining about this add perpetuating the evil of and the "white man guilt" syndrome.

I say they should spread the blame around, using women and minorities to stress out the children. This would be more accurate anyway. The problems I encounter with bureaucracies are the dull, entry level staff, usually the women manning the phones at that level.

But the policies are devised by ambitious mid level executives, the diverse and multicultural, then they are signed off on up the ladder to an insulated leadership within Ally. It is about results and passion, the attention they get from this blogging is precisely the kind of reaction and product the advertising company needs to prove they are effective.

Your commericals are rotten and abusive and mean spirtied...I would never use your services. You think it is funny? It is ignorant and you are propagating the ugly underbelly of how society treats innocents. So shame on you all. Your apparent lack of creativity and plethora of ill-will is where the spirit of your organization is at. You will not last... When you could have made better, braver and smarter choices...you are now in the category of "What is wrong in America." And, yes, by the way I do have a sense of humor...

Ally Financial taunting of children

I think the Ally Bank TV commercials where they employ children and taunt them is deplorable; unless of course, the children are merely acting. However, they do not appear to be acting; and if they are, they're making an oscar winning performance. I would liken this to some of those local commercials where car salesmen use their children's cute little smiles and antics to lure unsuspecting buyers. Ally could do better in order to drum up business. I would never do business with them.

Ally Financial tv ads taunt children

Ally Bank TV ads are pathetic. They taunt children.

They are sadly mistaken if they think I will do business with them when they do this.

Yes, the message they are trying to portray is that they don’t play games with their customers.

But, they have so overstepped the boundaries of human decency they will fail.

Do any of these thoughtful comments to the arrogant, insipid ad managers and "executive" wannabes at Ally ever get to them?
Uh, just so we all understand: if you can trick and manipulate very young naive people, we should trust you with our assets?
This is how Ally expects to earn investors, and /or borrowers' TRUST ?
These ###s at Ally are foolish, immature and self-centered.
Who wants to trust their money to people who take advantage of children's trust and naivete' ?
Not me.

I've just been watching these ads again - after two years Ally is still running them. I don't pretend to know what actually went on when they were filmed, but I still feel a punch to my stomach when I see the little boy asking for his ice cream, and he has to deal with the nasty guy pretending he can't give him any. Even worse reaction to the ad with the little girl who wants a pony. This is utterly cynical advertising, and it does skate close to psychological child abuse. Ally, you don't impress with this ad campaign. Perhaps those who like to pulling wings off flies might chuckle at them...

Obviously you are not listening to the majority of the viewers. Your ads are not merely in poor taste, they offer a 'normalization' of child abuse. Anyone with any common sense should have recognized the mistreatment of children in your ads as abusive. Anyone who does not see it for what it is has probably been mistreated or has mistreated others, like you, for their own gain. Unfortunately, we hear/learn enough on the news about child abuse. We do not need some misguided, overpaid writer(s), abusing their power, using television to encourage mentally unstable people, be it parents/relatives/caregivers or strangers, into cruel and demoralizing treatment of children. Please accept my challenge, take these horrible ads off the air, and create a better commercial. Who knows, ...you might even be remembered for your product rather than your poor judgement.

I totally agree with Harrypotter and Di Medici and Eldor and turn off the Ally commercials when they appear. Disgustingly abusive to children.

The people complaining about these ads have very low I.Q.s and possible mental disorders, because no children are abused in any way. I feel these are reasonably accurate spoofs about getting the runaround. I'd love to have a DVD with all the ads, so I could sit there and laugh. :-))

Soldiers getting killed, Millions out of jobs, Kids killing kids, Economy is trash, Kids having kids, etc, etc, etc
..AND THIS IS WHAT YOU ARE WORRIED ABOUT?

How about you spend more time with your children instead of surfing the internet posting ridiculious comments. GROW UP

Crybabies. Every toy ad on TV exploits children in one way or the other. I happen to think this is one of the most unique ad campaigns in years and actually happened upon this site searching for them. You can bet one thing and that is the kids in these ads will have learned a valuable lesson early in life. Study and understand the fine print and you may not be one of the countless dolts forced from your home because you didn't know your rates would go through the roof.
