Allstate Insurance company misrepresenting our cancellation of policies

In May of 2017, I wrote to Ordinario Insurance Agency (an Allstate Office in Pasadena, CA) to tell the office that we found better coverage and service and wished to cancel homeowner, auto and earthquake insurance. Since then, we have continued to receive warnings that our premium was not received, along with other offers to spend money on Allstate products. I have not been able to get verification that this treatment has not damaged our credit rating. I have called, written, and submitted a complaint on the Allstate website. Wee had policies for many years; however in the last few, the service has been completely unsatisfactory. Today I received a notice stating "Your CA Earthquake Authority policy was not reinstated." Of course it wasn't! I want some reassurance that ties with Allstate are completely severed and that my credit rating is undamaged. --Nancy Buchanan

Allstate Insurance poor service

I am very disappointed with "Allstate's" process and procedures. I was assured by Allstate representatives that I have done all the necessary processing and procedure when releasing my vehicle from my policy. I have also made multiple contacts with Phuong Tran's office through email with no repose. I have call today and spoke to Mr. Edward Nguyen to find out that the vehicle is still under my policy and that the email I was sending to was incorrect (Phuong Tran ). It has been 3/1/2017untill 6/19/2017 and I was given notice that Allstate only refunds only a week. In addition I was asked to render the tittle of the release vehicle which I might not have. I have been paying all this time for a vehicle that I do not have in my procession. I have been with your office for many years and this is the only time where I have been truly disappointed.

Allstate Insurance claims service rental policy

I received a settlement for my total loss vehicle on Thurs 6/1/17. I was informed that once a settlement was made I had two days to return my rental car. The adjuster gave me until Tues 6/6/17 to return my rental.

I am an individual that works 2 jobs. I have already missed a lot a time from my jobs due to the accident that I was in. I was not able to find a vehicle in the 1/2 of day I had on Saturday and the 1/2 day I had on Sunday.

In an effort to still get a vehicle in the allotted time given to me. I took 1/2 of day off from my job on Monday 6/5/17. The deal that I was getting feel through and I still do not have another vehicle. I called my Allstate claims representative to ask for an extension until Sat 6/10/17 and I was denied due to your policy.

I understand that there are rules set in place to follow but there should be an exception may to some rules. I am not happy about the way this is turning out for me. I would like an additional extension. It is unfair that
I am treated this way. It is not good customer service!

Allstate Insurance claim #[protected]

On April 30, 2017 I (Rodriquiz Arnold) was hit by an Allstate driver. The Allstate driver was given the ticket and was at fault of the accident. On the same day I called my insurance and Allstate to report the accident and to open a claim.
The operator told me that I was appointed to an adjuster Cynthia Richardson and that she will contact me within a couple of days. No one called to check on my injuries or my property for two days. Since I did not hear from anyone I reach out and hired an attorney to help me out. After Cynthia finally called I informed her that I hired an attorney and she appointed another adjuster to work with me Thomas Olesky. Thomas called onced to introduce himself but could never be reached again when I tried to call. So I spoke with another team member and inquired about my truck on May 4, 2017.
May 5 my truck was pronounced repairable and I had it towed to Courtesy Dodge in Conyers, Ga.
While I assumed that my vehicle was getting repaired I figured that this is a good time to buy some items that needed replaced. Such as a door speaker that I purchase on Ebay and a chrome rim that I also purchased on Ebay. I ordered a window switch and windshield wipers from carparts.com.
On May 12th I called Courtesy Dodge to check on my vehicle and they told me that they were waiting on Allstate to respond back to the supplement where they found an additional $3000 in repairs.
May 20, 2017 I get a call from Sharon Godfrey telling me that are totaling my truck for $3156.19 and to turn in my rental car within 2 days. I was caught off guard and very disturb from the conversation and requested to speak to a manager. Sharon was very nice but nothing she could say would have made me feel any better as I panicked trying to decide how I will commute back and fourth to work. Sharon also told me that if I had services performed on the truck within a certain time frame then that will add value to my property. So i sent over copies of a battery and core recently purchased, the rim that I just purchased, alignment that I got from NTB, brakes, tires, plus the bill I got from the wrecker service and storage fees from Dodge. The total amount came out to $6, 077.40 which is enough to cover the repairs. I spoke to Shannon Howe who is a claims manager and expressed my plea begging if that isn't acceptable can I please pay for the repairs myself. She said no and I have no say so because now my vehicle is pronounced totaled. That is not the case Courtesy Dodge is willing to fix it and I am willing to pay the balance of what is giving to me. I rather pay $2000 and have my truck versus $30, 000 for a new truck. One of the most unorganized companies I've ever had to deal with. Filing a complaint with the insurance Commision. I will have to hire a lawyer and handing this matter over to our insurance company.

Allstate Insurance roof

We were denied a legitimateroof claim with Allstate . They sent out 2 corrupt CAT adjusters Laurue Ross & Tom Baldwin. I am understanding now that when they realize a roof needs replaced they find a reason to deny like over nailing. 9 roofs have been replaced on my street due to this storm butTom said he saw no proof wind caused damage. We were forced to hire a public adjuster that was very good.He was getting nowhere with Allstate until he told them he was going to next level. (Bad Faith Lawsuit) It was amazing how fast this went from no damage from wind to a complete loss from wind. I have copies of this as proof from beginning to end and I have copies and pictures of full grown uprooted trees all over our area and damaged homes.I have also sent copies of all of this to CNN, MSNBC & ABC. In time I have 14 more top journalists in hopes someone contacts me and televises this.
I will continue posting to protect others from corrupt Allstate.

Allstate Insurance backout mistakingly applied to our account more than 8 months ago!!

...Resulting in no valid insurance coverage and rejection when trying to renew the annual vehicle registration on May 16, 2017.

This was done by the Allstate Longyear Family Agc.

While at the GA Department of Revenue, we tried to contact our agent with no success.

Consequently, we called your customer service line and were promised that the situation would be corrected within the next 30mn. The young man was very helpful but the situation has not been corrected yet.

Allstate Insurance claim

I have been dealing with inspector Paul M. Baer Claim Service Consultant, Allstate Insurance Co, from Columbia, MD office and I'm not getting anywhere my policy states if a pipe in the wall is causing water damage than its cover. Well needless to say the pipe was broken underground and in the basement wall; understand the backyard and outside pipe is not coverage. But he told me that since the pipe came from underground my into my house its not cover, Well after looking through my house most pipes in your house lead to basement and outside. I have water damage, mold and more I have had Allstate Insurance since 2000 and now I need help, they are telling oh well...

Allstate Insurance extremely poor client service representative

I called in the evening around 8:30 P.M CST on May 7th about a billing inquiry. I spoke with a representative named Andrew who was extremely apathetic towards me. He made me feel like an unvalued customer. I had a payment due on May 10th that I was unable to make due to financial constraints. I called to see what my options were. Andrew made me feel like I had no options. I was desperate to find a solution and asked if it was possible to switch from monthly payments to quarterly payments. The true purpose of my question was to start a dialogue about available options. Andrews response was an apathetic "No you can't do that." I waited for a follow up response such as "But here's what you can do" but only a long awkward pause followed. I became upset and accused him of not caring.

I quickly called in again to complain but found out that since Andrew did open my account a record of our call did not exist. As a result I was unable to voice my frustration that I'm entitled to as a paying customer. Andrew purposely avoided procedures (in this case not asking for my account number even though I noted to him it was odd that he didn't bring it up) to ensure he would not face consequences of providing poor customer service.

This was an extremely disappointing experience with All State.

Allstate Insurance home insurance

I have been trying to resolve a theft from my home since October of 2016.
I have been met with no return phone calls and lack of follow up from Peter Poulos in Oregon for months.
After several messages I will finally get a return call, just to have another barrier placed before me and another month to pass.
I am not being treated fairly or as a customer. I am having to make repetitive efforts to get any resolution- which is not right! I am a paying customer and we are talking about a pretty small dollar figure of claim.
The lack of responsiveness is TOTALLY uncalled for. I'm a very patient person so for me to be frustrated is quite an accomplishment. Kudos to Peter for his achievement.

Allstate Insurance advertisement cancellation

I'm saddened to hear Allstate her into the petty mode of politics and rumors. My understanding is that Allstate has pulled their support of a popular cable show. I may not agree with his personal views or actions BUT I enjoy the way he provides his shows and guests. The same can be said for Allstate. I may not always agree with your personal views BUT I did enjoy your business. But now I will be looking to drop Allstate; the same as dropping advertisements. Thanks Mike

Allstate Insurance misleading, charged double payment, unethical behaviour

At they end of my insurance policy/exp renewal feb 23, 2017, allstate insurance company of canada at 570 kingston road unit 9 pickering, ontario l1v 1a6 tel:[protected] ext.5053 was late to make a decision as to whether they should renew my policy or not. When I first signed up for this service I was required to give a check for the first & last payment. I know from experience that insurance companies usually renew the policy ahead of time not after the exp date, which will leave the customer at hard times operating he or she vehicle without insurance. Before my policy got renewed I was charged double payment in feb stating that when my policy renews they require a double payment again and the amount charged was more then I was getting charged the year before & no body seemed to explain why that happened. I got stuck in a unusual situation I always have according funds in the bank ready for the insurance pre-auth withdrawal. After I been calling the insurance broker for about 3 to 4 days finally someone got back to me saying "we didn't not know what to do with your policy or weather it will be renewed", so at this point I became an option to all state. Finally after discussing this situation with a few all state agents no body really cared about anything. If I didn't have extra funds in the bank my policy would of been cancelled and I would of been at fault all because all state took out 2 payments at a different rate & I was not informed. If all state was to call me ahead of time or tell me something is not right I would totally understand but instead they seem to avoid everything at the moment.in addition I was supposed to be asked weather I want to renew my policy with this company because they were not ready or had something going wrong for them that they didn't renew my policy on time. I am not very happy at all with this bad service everyone seems to be lying each agents states something different, looking to refund my double payment also will cancel the policy in a months time.

Allstate Insurance extended warranty coverage on auto

Called and briefly talked to a representative about extended coverage policy. When asked several questions, all she could utter was "we don't", "I don 't know". Time on phone was pointless.

I unknowingly bought vehicle (And apparently the dealership as well), that had an after-market part added. The terms of warranty referred to exclusions or being voided in cases where after market parts are added to vehicle. I contend the dealership had an obligation to inform me of potential/possible exclusions when selling me this warranty.

Bottom line - calling allstate customer service was useless.

Allstate Insurance quotations not approved by me, but money taken from my bank account

E-mail sent to Allstate agent: Albuquerque, NM:

Mr. Sturtevant,

I went to my bank this morning and was notified that moneys had been taken out of my account by Allstate. (Roughly close to $1500 in 2 drafts.)

I never signed any contract with Allstate. There are many e-mails from Allstate or Phillip Fierro pressing me to sign some documents. My answer always was I wanted to see the new quotes I discussed with Phillip over the phone. I specifically mentioned that I WOULD NOT sign before having these in my hands. When I finally received them, it was too late.

My mistake was to give Phillip my bank account number. But I believe you will agree that a normal business contract requires first the signature of the buyer. Amazon has my credit card number, but they don't charge me until I go through the process of approving a purchase.

Therefore, I am requesting refund of these payments from my bank account as I lost confidence in Allstate.

I would also like to know whether you notified my old insurance of cancelation, which also would be illegal as I didn't sign the required forms.

Allstate Insurance insulting customer service

My husband and I have Allstate and have been thrilled with their auto insurance for many years. Recently, our 20 year old was involved in a crash which left him with a fractured spine and a compound fracture of his lower left leg. My son is insured under another company and not on our policy as a driver. However, Allstate has some coverage for injured drivers that live in the same household as the policy holder.

That being said, my son's PIP carrier called Allstate to demand coverage. Yesterday, Allstate called my house and asked to speak to the other driver, the one that hit him. What a horrible mistake! I listened to the conversation between my son and the Allstate Rep. Erin (rep) did not apologize for his injuriously mistaken phone call. Instead, he barraged my son with questions about the other driver's injuries and asked him to make a statement.

I may file a complaint with Allstate. This is unacceptable behavior! My son was very, very upset. I am still disturbed by this.

Allstate Insurance unethical liars, will not pay for auto accident

On 5/21/14 rear-ended by an Allstate policy holder. The driver took full responsibility for accident, spoke to adjuster from Allstate, she said "Don't worry, we will take care of everything for you" What a lie! I had to pay for my own expenses through my personal insurance. Now they are threatening me over the phone to settle the case, which I will not. They state that my injuries were not related to the accident. Now, I have to get an attorney involved, which is what they wanted in the first place, so they could screw me! The accidend happened 2 years ago and they are dragging this out so the statute of limitations will run out.

I've tried repeatedly to use my points for merchandise. It's just impossible to place or win anything when you can only place 1 point above another bidder. Allstate Insurance unauthorized withdrawl from account

I cancelled my insurance with Allstate Insurance but they still withdrew the money from my account. I contacted them and spoke with an agent, who assured me that the money would be returned back to my account within 5 to 7 days, but after the 10th day, I called again and again spoke with an agent who advised that I had been told wrong and that the money would be returned in 30 to 45 days. Its funny how they withdrew the money very quickly but when its their turn to return the money they take for ever... will never buy insurance with this company ever again...

Allstate Insurance claim for theft

I had a Ariens snow blower & a craftsman mower valued over $1, 200 stolen on 07/08/2015. Allstate(ALLSCAM) claims dept. sent me a reimbursement check for $367.37 to cover the losses. I guess they don't realize that snow blowers are expensive equipment as well as a mower. I spoke to another claims rep. & he stated that I should send them proof of what a replacement snow blower would cost, so I did only to get an email saying there's nothing they can do. I reported them to the BBB & filed a complaint to Allstates main corporation, I have yet to hear from them. We are " NOT IN GOOD HANDS WITH ALLSTATE" They're happy to take your money, but are never there when needed. Never deliver on their advertised promises. I will continue to give them bad reviews until they resolve this matter to my satisfaction. I have emailed a news media to warn the public about what a scam ALLSTATE is. A class action lawsuit needs to be filed against Allstate(ALLSCAM). My claim#[protected]. Policy#[protected]. I want to speak with one the BIG SHOTS regarding this matter & not be ignored, given the run around or some BS answer. I really doubt they take consumer complaints seriously. I will do everything & anything I can to ruin their company reputation if this is not solved A.S.A.P. We the consumers work hard for what we have. Personal property shouldn't depreciate in value, Allstate will do anything not to pay on claims. ALLSTATE U STINK! I gave u 2 business days to contact me. We shall see.

Allstate Insurance bait and switch

Bait and Switch seems to be a part of Allstate's business model and corporate culture:

I am with GEICO and requested a quote from Allstate a while ago. They could not compete with GEICO but last month I received an "updated quote" which was about $ 80, - less than what I pay for my 2 cars with GEICO. I went to office of the agent who had signed the quote and explained that I was interested. the first lady that I talked to told me that the quote was not from her but from another lady in the office. So I talked to her and mysteriously, she was not able to pull up the quote which she had prepared. Instead she came up with new numbers: about 2 times higher than on the quote. She didn't ask me any questions because she had everything in her computer, from MVD driving records (no accidents), no claims, to current insurance company and current vehicles.

She was not able to come up with any numbers anywhere close to what was quoted. I asked to talk to the owner of the agency who explained that this was a "Generic quote" mailed out by Allstate's headquarters and that she didn't have anything to do with this, despite her signature on the quote. "They mail these out all the time and the numbers on the quote don't mean anything, they could as well put a premium of $ 20, - for 2 cars for 6 months on the quote, these numbers are for illustration purposes only, as you can see in the fine printed part of the quote"

This is classical bait-and-switch, even if the fine printed says "for illustration purposes". The bold letters clearly say "updated quote" and a quote should be calculated somehow instead of a fantasy number. At no point in time the agency owner was able to explain to me why I would not be able to get the premium offered in the quote. There was nothing like a claim, a ticket, additional vehicles etc. This so called "Updated quote" was just something to call my attention and to make me visit the agency to sit in front of one of their sales agents and to listen to her sales pitch: ("You don't want to go with the required insurance minimums...")

Their service is very poor.I spoke to a person who did not know the first thing about insurance in general and specifically their product.
I was referred to a website which is just as abtuse.I really would like to see a contract.Is that too much to ask?

Allstate Insurance quoted price

i was supplied a quote at a certain price for auto and renters insurance, which i agreed to for the quoted price .
they emailed me my policy and the duductable was at $600 instead of $500 but the price was the same . the agent said they would correct this and i agreed .then i get an letter saying that since i had a change in my policy the price went up from $464 to $527 and if i would oif know this i would of stayed with my original company

Our Allstate insurance premiums are going up and when we call the company to try and discuss they wont speak with us. Is anyone else having this problem with Allstate. Are their other people with this same customer complaint.

We have been a customer with Allstate Insurance for 13 years. We have never made a claim and have paid the premiums ontime every time. When we received our renewal notice this month, our premium was raised more than $600. Why? Because our credit score dropped. In spite of a crappy year, we never missed our payments. Allstate always received what was due from us. That didn't matter to them.

Bait and Switch is part of Allstate's corporate culture. They call their quotes "for illustration purposes" in the fine printed part at the bottom. Consider their quotes as some sort of entertainment. The numbers don't mean anything. Their only purpose is to draw your attention.

We had a liability claim with Allstate. We were warned that this will stall and deny all claims by our ins co. They were so right. It look 4 months to get Allstate to settle. We had to threaten a law suit.

Yes, I just posted a complaint myself about our renter's ins going up by 138%!
I'm not kidding. I've had numerous problems with this office, however, they have refused claims, treated me disrespectfully, and even told me I could rent a car, after the rental car they recommended had their tow truck driver, drive me and leave me at the airport, instead of stopping by the repair shop, where my car was done being fixed.

We've had no claims in years either. Don't make any sense to me either!

That is not insurance fraud. They have rates filed with the state that involve your credit score. They don't look at each individual policy and just say hmmm I think they need an increase. It is an automatic process.
