Allied Cash Advance Allied Lies to you...its a scam for your car.

I got a title loan over a year ago. I was given a 700.00 dollar loan on a 3500.00 car. I told them i couldnt see well without contacts in my eyes so i wanted it explained to me how the car title loan system worked. I was told that they give you the loan and you ONLY make 100.00 payments each month until its paid. They suckered me into this loan by purposely NOT telling you that there is a Ballon Payment of 800+ dollars and that the 100.00 was only interest payments. I was late a couple times but not wanting to loose my car, made payments for over a year. Thats over 1100.00 for a 700.00 loan. And still owe a hidden ballon payment of over 800.00. They will work with you only if you are a couple days late of course with a 5.00 dollar a day charge. When the economy took a turn for the worse and hours slowed down i got behind and they attempted to repo the car. So i parked it in the driveway with the keys for them and it was gone. Then they claim they never picked it up. BS. now they want money still. They are dreaming. When tax time came around and wanting it off my credit... I asked them to make me a deal like 800.dollars or whatever to clear it off my credit, and give the car back they claimed they didnt have. SO i offered them a minimum of 800.00 and call it even. They REFUSED to lower any payments or work it out and now wanted 2000.00 to clear it up. OR give them 400 and pay payments on the 2000.00 but remember that is a trap to suck you out of the rest of your cash. Because you will still owe a ballon payment plus 5.00 a day charge until you pay off totally the 2000.00 they want. I told them nice try and see ya. This is a SCAM and when they claim they dont want your car THEY ARE LIARS. This kind of preditory lending SHOULD BE OUTLAWED...

Allied Cash Advance THREATEN ME ONE MORE TIME!

Ooohhhh man! This company is asking to be sued time and time again. I have been doing payday loan buisness with this company for a long time- up until recently everything has been going great as they are a great service when you are in a bind. I live in Colorado who recently changed their laws regarding payday loans to further protect the customer against these vile companies. Therefore they can now not turn in your checks to the bank you must come in and buy the check back- (which sucks for me because I never have time to make it into their office). I missed going in ONCE yes ONCE and I was harassed beyond legal measures They A: Drove by my house looking for me B: called my work and told my boss I was a liar using false information (stated I said I owned a toyota and I own a Chevy that I never told them about) C: Threatened me with criminal action (even though Colorado will not consider payday loan checks as fraudulent) told me I was going to jail and I could kiss my law enforcement job goodbye, yet still call me about it after they said I was being put into the Colorado law system I wish I would have recorded this information to sue them- they call me again and I WILL!

Allied Cash Advance INSANE ACTIONS

WARNING: Allied Cash Advance on 10mile -n- Kelley in Roseville MI are unprofessional and have absolutly no costumer service! If you call and set up a payment date they wont write it down and they WILL make threatting phone calls to your job and family members. Then to top it off they will drive by your house with no warning or reason. They will do all of this before they cash your check, which cashing the check would make more sense.
Now before anyone thinks; "don't be a dead beat pay your bill"...
The only reason that it hasn't been payed yet isbecause I haven't had time too. I was planning on it Monday but, then I recieved the voicemail. That stated "she" drove to my old house (which I moved from a month ago) inorder to collect the debt and that i have to call her back by the end of that day or I will face legal issues and she will contiue to harasse my job and family until I call her back.
Now too me that sounds like some hood ###.
Especially sense she did this on Saturday and I had told them I'd be in on Tues./Wens. at the latest. With working 3 jobs it's hard to find time to get my stuff done. I've been dealing with these people sense Aug. 2010 and I am always a week or so late because of my schedule...so this is nothing new.
Then all of a sudden the woman wants to do drive by's on the house...
what really kills me is that if they didn't know I was going to come in and pay, why wouldn't they just cash the check?
It's not like I was avoiding them, I would've been ok with them cashing the check but they didn't even try that.
They got to annoying with my job that my job told them I don't work there, which I still have my job guys so dont think ill of me.
My poor Grandmother who's one of refrences is being bothered constintly and unnessasarily. I have contacted the corp. agents and filled a complaint but, nothing about this is kosher and I have got to share my story with all of you..in hopes that one day criminal harassment will soon STOP.

* JUST BEFORE POSTTING THIS, THE WOMAN CALLED ME AFTER HOURS ON HER PERSONAL CELL PHONE TO FURTHER BOTHER ME. I told her I will not be paying the bill with that corp told me to call and pay it with them. She told me that "corp doesn't take payment"... Then why did the woman I spoke to tell me to call tomorrow make my payment with my credit card.

Allied Cash Advance Sailors and Soldiers Civil Relief Act

Well I took out a title loan on my car back in May of 2009 due to my wife having difficulty finding a job for 4 months and being behind on the rent. I joined the Army in November of that year and couple of months ago notified Allied, through certified letter, of my invocation of the Sailors and Soldiers Civil Relief Act. It is now September and I am in Iraq. My wife just informed me that they are threatening to repossess my vehicle if the full amount of the loan is not paid off, plus 180% interest. The SSCRA states that the interest rate must be adjusted to no more than 6% and any interest and/or late fees as of the date of my enlistment must be forgiven and/or refunded. It also states that the means in which I can be penalized are VERY limited, including that the vehicle can not be repoed due to my obvious inability to appear in court . They are now passively refusing to comply with the SSCRA and federal law. This is definitely putting undo stress on myself and my wife who is now the sole care-taker of our 2 year-old son and newborn baby girl due to my deployment. The manager at the office, a woman named Jessica, has stated several times that she cannot put us in contact with their legal dept. or home office... I'm really not sure what to do about all of this. It's REALLY beginning to stress my wife out...

Allied Cash Advance Letter Stating Paid

I called the Allied Cash Advance office today to ask them if they could fax a letter stating the account was paid off with a zero balance. One of the workers said she would fax it within 5-10 min. After 10 min I receive a call from the so called office manager (Laura) asking why I needed such a letter and for what company (which she doesn't need to know). I told her I just needed a letter stating the account was paid. Then very rudely she replies by saying that she couldn't provide me with any personal information and that I need to ask for it in person (I can't go in in person 'cause I now live an hour away. If I was able to, I wouldn't ask them to fax me or mail (address in file is my moms) a copy). I don't understand where the "manager" got that I was asking for personal information. All I want is a letter stating that the account is paid in full. Any creditor you call and ask them for such a letter they will either fax it and if they don't think it’s you on the phone they will mail to the address on the file. Then I asked her for her supervisor's name and phone and she said she had to call him first to get his permission because it's a personal number. I asked her if he worked out of the corporate office and she said yes, so, I asked her to give me the corporate number and she said she didn't have it. Another thing; i didn't even give them my phone number and they managed to write it down and call me back. You would think that they would have used that method as a confirmation that it is you calling when they call you.

On September 25, 2010, I recieveed a call from Allied Cash Advance in San Pablo, CA regarding my past due account. Long story short, I had informed the customer service rep that I would send in two post dated checks to clear my account and she informed me that it was ok to do. Within a week, I received a call back from that office stating that I needed to pay my loan off. That following weekend I received another call from the collections department and I had informed the lady that my payments was sent off and received...she said ok. Now, I keep getting calls stating that I need to pay my loan off after I have submitted two post dated checks. The girl at the store is completly rude and she need to be fired. DON'T LOAN FROM ALLIED CASH ADVANCE!

Allied Cash Advance Unreasonable Termination

My friend was a faithful employee for this company. She was there when her Manager was terminated and worked for the entire 2 months without any help. She same in early and stayed late. She never did anything to jeopardize the company, or extended loans out to people who didn't qualify. During her 9mnths there, they hired another manager (she had the slightest idea of what to do when it came to her job) she was totally computer illerate...but they hired her. So she trained "her Boss" with no ill feelings. They restructed and was assigned a new District Manager. She was given her review by him and he gave her rave reviews. He said being that he hasn't worked w/her and neither has the Branch Manager, he copier her info from her self evaluation. 2wks later, he came in an FIRED her for no reason. He said because she gave a RIDE to a past due customer! He said that we don't loan to friends /family. She told him that this person was niether, but he didn't care.
He said to collect all your things and you have to leave. She said he didn't give her any paperwork to sign, no way to explain anything. Even though the company condones FIELD calls to collect loan payments. I told her this is the most FOOLISH thing i've ever heard. No write up, no prior issues...JUST A SLAP IN THE FACE HARD-Work & DEDICATION doesn't pay off

Could not agree with you more. I am a former employee and the same thing happen to me. I worked as there Branch manager. My DM was new and honestly I thought it should of been a requirement for him to wear a helment to work and ride the short bus. I was accused of taking large sums of money and writing bad loans. There was NO proof. Please keep in mind my store was number 1 in the comapany. I am a white female and he was a sexist/racist black male. Go figure. But Karma is a beautiful thing. Now he has NO ONE to work in that store that can run it the way I did.

Allied Cash Advance Predatory Business Practices

Because of lowered work hours and mortgage problems, I was unable to pay on a $352.95 loan. They called back with ideas but I told them I still couldn't do it. On the last call, they said they were going to send it to collections. I said fine, I will deal with it there and when I had money. Not long after, they deposited the check the day before my paycheck was deposited. Not only did I end up with a NSF from my bank, but I couldn't pay my mortgage, which is now 2 months late. Then two weeks later they went back into my checking account and got their NSF for bouncing the check when they tried to deposit it in July. What bothers me is they seem to be able to access a checking account whenever they want. Now I'm waiting for yet another debit to it for whatever. I called the police, they said when I signed I signed over their right to get into my checking account. This doesn't seem right. Are there any other people who've had this sort of trouble with this particular payday loan store? I'm filing a complaint with the BBB. My next step is to see if there is anything I can do legally. Never again. I've had to let payday loans go and they send them off to collections and I've paid up there. Thank You for letting me vent!

Dear Lost in Translation:

Borrowing money from any lender does not, whether the loans and fees are paid as agreed or not, give that lender or its employees the right to harass the borrower. Under no circumstances is this allowed by law, nor should it be. It is known that many payday, title, and signature loan companies engage in predatory lending practices. If you, or anyone else reading these posts, disagrees or wants more information regarding the prevalence of predatory and illegal lending/collecting practices, please contact your state's Better Business Burean or Consumer Affairs department.

I am so freakin ticked! I went to the Allied Cash store in Muncie, IN on Friday 9-9-11 @ 4:00. Behind the counter was a cart full of customer folders facing the lobby for everyone to see. I saw my name and 3 other people I know. This is embarrassing and a violation of the privacy policy that this company "claims" to protect and honor. I told both of the new managers that they were violating my privacy and they acted like they did not care. Both of these women were rude about the situation. Well, they will care when they hear from my attorney!

After 7 years of service and loyalty to this company - I got fired! The new district manager said it was due to "Lack of Growth" at the branch that they re-locateded to right down the street. The new location is terrible! It sits over 500 feet back from the main road in a small strip mall, in-between 2 EMPTY stores and NO street signage. And they wonder WHY the store is NOT growing? DUH! Oh, and as I'm getting fired - the sign company show's up to install a small sign out by the street that's not very visible. The store had no street signs for 4 months - and now they show up? Coincidence - I think NOT! OH - and the 1st month after moving to the new location - the phones did not work and we did not have any internet, which means we could not give out loans. How convenient! But it's all my fault that we were not growing! I was threatened (including being cussed at many times) by the previous district manager for weeks to grow or I would get fired. So, the customers knew if they came in and I was no longer there that I got fired. Good Luck to the new employee who replaces me because you are gonna need it! I was very-well liked by my customers who said if they come in and I'm not there - they will pay off and go somewhere else! To the remaining employees: Good Luck to you all! Do yourselves a favor and find a new job before you get the axe! God Bless!

This company has shady business practices. I needed money due to a small financial mess I was in at the time. I needed $800.00 to cover cost for the month. So I go to Allied Cash Advance. They recommend a car Title lone. I decided to go with the lone thinking I would be better off than owing the eight hundred. They couldn't lone just eight hundred they said the minimum was $2500. I took the lone. I been paying on the lone for Four months. Mind you most of the payment goes to interest. $365.00 a month...$340.00 interest... 25.00 principal (omg right). This month I was late on my payment- due July 10, 2011 ...on July 22, 2011 I got my 2007 Nissan Z repossessed. I was short this month and could not make the payment. I get paid once a month. So money due has to wait till next payday. When I talked to the clerks at Allied they said they had no control over my lone. It was up to the people in Florida(I'm in California). So now, instead of owing $800.00. I am now without a car. I owe $3400 dollars to get my car out of the repo yard... And on top of that I have the mortgage and bills still due. This company is wrong there should be laws protecting the consumer from lone sharks like Allied Cash Advance. I say unite and lets file a lawsuit!

I agree with Miss Mary75! This company sucks! I work for them and I'm also looking for a job. My previous District Manager (who was awesome guy) left the company. When he left, he warned many of us to look for jobs and get the hell outta this company! For him to make a statement like this, I knew to take his advice very seriously! Please, Please, Please, DO NOT USE this payday lender! Take your business elsewhere!

Allied Cash Advance is in serious financial trouble! The President of the company is being sued by several female employees for sexual harrassment and the company is paying his legal fees! So, to try to get back some of this money, the company is on a firing spree. They are firing long-term employees who make a nice salary. These are employees who have never even had a write-up or customer complaint and are well liked by their customers. The employees know they are getting fired because Allied Cash Advance will post their jobs on Careerbuilder to find their replacement. These employees have to go into work everyday with the knowledge that they will be fired anyday and there is not a damn thing they can do about it! No matter how good the manager is, it is never good enough for this company! They are very hard to work for and push their employees to the point of mental exhaustion. They do not care how they treat their employees, it's all about making money! Most of the employees are fearful of being fired at any moment because everyone knows about the lawsuit and the financial troubles. I know what I'm talking about because my best friend was fired from this company! Good Luck to the remaining employees.

Allied Cash Advance must deposit the check 14 days after it is held. Then from that point if the check comes back NSF, they are allowed only TWICE (2) to attempt to ach if from your checking account. As a former employee of Allied Cash Advance, I can say that was absolutley the WORST company I have ever worked for. Not only do they not train you but there practices are un-ethical. They will tell you anything to get you to pay but when it comes right down to it, the customers are more protected by the CFSA than the company. I would suggest to contact the CFSA (Community Financial Services Association of America ) the number and address is 515 King Street Suite 300 Alexandria, VA 22314 Phone: [protected] Fax: [protected]. I would suggest to go the web site www.cfsa.net and read all the disclosures about fair and lawful practices. Contacting the BBB will help but not much. Also contact your District Attorney's office in the area. According to the CFSA, under the Best practices Disclosure, number 7(.Appropriate Collection Practices. A member must collect past due accounts in a professional, fair and lawful manner. A member will not use unlawful threats, intimidation, or harassment to collect accounts. CFSA believes that the collection limitations contained in the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) should guide a member's practice in this area ). Also contact the Attorney Generals office if the problem still ocurrs.

If people would bother to read their contracts before they sign them, they would know that any cash advance company has the right to deposit a check if it is past due. The bank may run the check twice if it does not clear the first time. If the money is still not available, the company has the right to attempt to ACH the account up to a certain amount of times, in my state it is 3 times if the money is not paid in full. READ EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU SIGN AND YOU WILL NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM!

Hey Prescott Valley, did you not give them a piece of paper(your check) and they give you money for it. Of course they had to deposit your check they can't hold it forever and it was probably a good move to do it around your payday. I have had these before in California and if you work with them they are pretty cool

Allied Cash Advance Overcharged

These payday companies are out of control. This particular lender realized Virginia was on to them about payday loans and now they offer long term loans. But at what cost? I got a 1000 dollar loan and never realized the fee for being a day late. I was a day late and had my wife go in the day after the due date to pay the minimum payment. Since I work two full time jobs I did not have the time.

Well, the payment was made but I received a letter from them stating I owed 600 bucks in late fees. I was shocked and couldn't believe it. Well, as it turns out, they if you are a day late they charge you 30% of the balance of the loan. But wait there is more, they also charge for the current month and the next month. So you are charged 60%. In my case I was charged 600 bucks for being late on a 30 dollar payment. And I was only one day late. And that was because the due dates are never the same date. The date changes month to month.

Please be aware... This needs to stop...

To all of the customers who owe money to Allied Cash Advance:
Pay off your loan and take your business elsewhere. If you can't pay off your loan, CLOSE your checking account immediately! They will continue to try to take the money out of your account everyday until they get the money. They will also ACH your account to get the money. They will submit an ACH to your bank on your paydays to get the money. The only way to avoid this is to close your account!

TO: Indiana Cash Advance Customers:
Allied Cash Advance does NOT want the customers of Indiana to know this valuable information. When you take out 3 consecutive loans, you are eligible for the Indiana Extendend Payment Plan (EPP). The EPP allows you to make 4 payments on the balance of your loan.
Example: Your balance is $400. You would re-pay 4 payments of $100. Here is the best part: Once you make the 4th payment and pay off this loan, you can re-borrow the money and go right back on the EPP and you can do this 3 consecutive times. You are allowed a total of 6 loans. Loans 1, 2, 3 - you must borrow and repay. Loans 4, 5, 6 - you are eligible for the EPP. This company does not tell you this because they don't make any money on these EPP's.

As a former employee I can also tell you that they charge you a repo fee also the day after your due date, along with a large amount of late fees. I would suggest to find out the pay off and pay it ASAP. If not your total repayment will be nearly 3000.00 if not more. There coporate number is [protected].

This place suffers from lack of proper management. The said manager, Victoria does not exemplify customer service as we all know it. She was not professional, and literally LOL, when she was aware that she had made me upset. Her tone was completely unacceptable and she was very unpleasant. This company is created to help people in there time of need, does she not stand behind that statement? The worse of it all, I am not a customer of Allied Cash Advance, I underwent this insulting treatment due to being a mere reference on someone's account. I have been in the client service industry 11 years and her lack of professionalism makes it hard to respect the company if Mangers such as Victoria are on the front line. Do you think I will turn here in my economic time of need? Hopefully you think long and hard... perhaps travel to emeryville or their sister branch in your are, but by all means do NOT stop here. You have been warned!

Allied Cash Advance has surrendered its payday loan license in Virginia and is apparently now going to just unregulated open-end loans. I would like to hear more about your problems with Allied. I am working with a coalition of many groups that are trying to cap the fees and interest these places charge at a reasonable rate and we want these unregulated open-end loans to be regulated.
