FirstEnergy - request for a second security deposit

I paid a $179.00 security deposit in 2005 and Allegheny Power has been holding and collecting interest on my deposit each year since then. Believe this - I have been a customer for the past five years and still am an active customer and when I opened yesterday's mail there was a letter inside that said, "We feel we should collect an additional $128.00 deposit from you. Failure to pay the deposit will result in your electric service being disconnected." The letter does not give an actual date this additional deposit is due but I can assure you that I plan to NOT pay it. I can not believe that in these economical times GREEDY ALLEGHENY POWER in CUMBERLAND, MARYLAND would even think of requesting additional money for a deposit from a long standing customer. It is unfair business practice, it is unjustified, and it is the making of what I believe will be a very successful class action law suit. My plan is to file a class action lawsuit ALLEGHENY POWER! This class can not afford to keep paying a deposit 0n top of high energy bills that have increased 40 percent in 2 years. The fact that you would demand two deposits from one customer who has been paying your outrageous rates for years is dispicable. I will see you in court. - Kim

They should be penalized for their errors and held accountable for overcharging customers. They should be forced to use a deposit they keep from you instead of turn of your electricity while they have the deposit on hand. These things need to change and it is only when regular people band together to fight against these tactics will change occurr. I am suing them for these tactics loss of time and money.

I will be filing a suit against Alleghany Power for these nefarious practices. If anyone would like to sign up with me to make it a class actions suit please email me at diogeny@verizon.net. Enough is enough their actions need to be regulated since they have no competitors and they DO NOT CARE about customer service. Please contact me and lets put Alleghany Power in their place.

I am James Davis and I ran on the democratic ticket for governor of West Virginia in 2008: http://jamesdavisforgovernor.davis-publishing.com . Most of you may not know that because the Secretary of State, Mrs. Ireland, made sure that I was not on the ballot or my name even close to the voting booths. She even refunded my money, telling me that there was an error in my registration and the date passed for a new registration and she would put me on the Write-In ballot.

Throughout my campaign, I tried telling the people that the utility companies and PSC was robbing us blind. The local news stations and the local newspapers always cut that part out of my talk. There is a way we can stop the utility companies from sucking us dry and turn their shady dealings back on them. Go on this web site and read about solar panels: http://www.greenraysolar.com . You can hook those up to the grid and the power you don't use will go into the grid and start turning your meter backwards and in a very short period of time, Allegheny will have to start paying you for the energy you are putting into the grid.

In the last three years President Bush was in office, the utility companies requested from PSC and got 157% increase in rates through the 'Free Marketing System'.

I am thinking about running for governor of West Virginia again in 2012. If you want someone in that office that will put a stop to these companies ripping people off, then e-mail me at: DavisJms7@dslextreme.com and put in the subject line: James Davis For Governor in 2012 --and I will tell you what we will do to take back our money that has been stolen from us by big business and our government.
