Rakbank / The National Bank of Ras Al Khaimah credit card

I have a credit card from RAK bank with 2600p AED limit.
I kept paying all payments without delay, i had some financial issues and i had to revise all the payments i have made.
When doing a simple calculation, i have found out that i have paid more than 42000 as interest only beside paying more than 5000 AED as credit shield.
But my card is still overdue, i have contacted the bank to settle this issue, they asked mybto sign new documnets with new instalment plan which also include 12 % interest.
I told them that i have a credit sheild, they said we can't recover your insurance unless you lose your job!
One of thier staff (a girl) called me RUDE, when i made a complain they had a very cold apology.
Today, collection oustource agent called me and started to yell at me.
I want to file a legal case against this agency, and i want to know based on what cases you pay endlessly to a bank and keep asking you for more.

Dear Team,
I am still waiting for my loan amount to be released. They credited my money 45 days ago which I can't even withdraw as there was delay in getting clearance letter from bank, in reality there was no need even to close my credit card, I was misguided by loan officer who even told me that as soon as clearance letter will be submitted to bank, I can withdraw all money but now he is just changing his words. Even I wanted to first close my credit card if it is really required then only apply for loan but he came with all the documents and asked me to sign, soon after that started following it up and insisting to process for it. I was not given clear guidance and I was kept in dark otherwise who will wish to pay for installment even without using the look on money. I would like proper action to be taken and release my loan amount, emoloyees even though they are working on third party pay roll has to be well aware about all the procedures and have to explain everything in detail to customers, it was totally unacceptable. I would also like to move ahead and talk about to it to senior management team.

Rakbank / The National Bank of Ras Al Khaimah fees charged on credit card

The bank has charged me advance fees which I complained already
Customer service online refuse to take May complaint in account this is clear in terms and condition
Yet I have not made any advance but paid an online merchant.
The bank has manipulated the transaction as cash advance and claiming this is master card fee.
I contacted the branch and went to central bank to verify.
Today I am confronted with incompetent people who do not have notion of service and banking concepts and bluntly answering customer and using a shocking tone.
I cancel my card with such a service and went to complaint to central bank and the CSA manager was so nicely rude to tell me go ahead. This is your service!

Rakbank / The National Bank of Ras Al Khaimah insurance cancellation

I have cancelled my Ark protect insurance & the corresponding charges being debited to my credit card monthly (AED 15). It was confirmed to me with a verification call that it will be cancelled. But the next day it was again debited to my account. Upon speaking to executives one said that it belongs to the previous month. Another lady was saying that I should have told cancel & reverse. Don't know how foolish they are.
The reason is as per the policy document Coverage period covers 30 days from the due date (charges debited recently on 22/8/17.
Secondly, how could I know that even after confirming to cancel charges will be debited & I have to say prior that to cancel & reverse?
Hence I expect to reverse the said charges & not to charge further.

Do not take settlement plan with RAK BANK. They listed me to ECB and updated my financial report for future lenders to see as LEFT THE COUNTRY and WRITE OFF. All of which are untrue. To file on someone's report information that is untrue on a official report is illegal. They updated for 12months left the country before declaring me as a write off in other terms I was a RUN AWAY.
Yet I had been making payments on every month they wrote left the country, and on top of that I hadn't left the country in 3 years.
I was black listed almost. I tried to resolve with Rak before making official complaint with central bank. And they had the nerve to say you must pay all your debt for us to change the status. Ummm no you shouldn't of put that false status in the first place because it's illegal and I can file for defamation on my name because of you. So I complained to higher management at RAK and I get a call saying we will investigate if it's true we will keep it. I said noooo u will change because your records show I made payments on the months you had me left the country. RAK is the worst bank to bank with.

It maybe be different for others but my experince till now is terrible. Accepted a settlement plan thinking I was doing the right thing to pay it off and that I trust the bank because it's offered by them. It's been a nightmare. The month I took the settlement is the same month they listed me as a run away "Left the bank ". Eventually turned write off after a year yet I had been making monthly payments.
I breached the settlement and the bank would not be helpful to give me a minimum amount to pay monthly to keep my good EcB rating . Instead 2-3months no contact, so I call and they offer me a one of payment which is rediculously high. Like dude obviously I did the plan and breached it coz I couldn't afford it and u want to throw a one of sum hmm. Like there's no consideration for a realistic plan or help. I breached my contract 9months into it so not long only 3 months left.
The settlement amount to start with was unrealistic and too high. Basically I was set up to fail.
They don't care and don't check against your current financial availability of funds. Instead they draw a plan that suits them and the amount the want from you rather than make it realistic so people don't breach because it's unrealistically unaffordable.
It's definitely a business to set you up to fail and when you do the slap on and add more interest so basically your back to square one.
What's the point of the plan.
Banks back at home give u lee way and just want your payments done. Better sure of money coming in and people still have money than have none and struggle.

Rakbank / The National Bank of Ras Al Khaimah continuous sms notifications because of your not updated and not synchronized system

Good morning!
I already made an arrangement with Ms. Ekta from your collections team last June 18, 2017 and we agreed that I will only pay the AED5, 000 principal amount of my credit card for 3 months and payment will start end of June and will be finished end of August 2017. I already made 2 payments as per our agreement (AED1, 000 and AED, 500) last payment will be AED2, 500 by end of this month, August. But I'm still receiving SMS notifications from your bank saying that my card is 2 months over due and just today I received a SMS cheques will be issued and cash will not be accepted effective September 1. I believe this is because your system is not updated and not synchronized. Ms. Ekta called me few weeks ago and told me to just ignore the notifications, but as a customer it's not good to receive this notifications anymore because it might mislead the customer. Better treat your customers well and be considerate too.

As I Yeddu Rajavardhan was Dubai [protected]}holding RAK Bank credit card [protected] After i lost job in Dubai on 5th jan 2009, i am financially not in good, later on, after getting a job i came in contact of of Agent Name Santhosh (BIlkish Agent from Hyderabad office in Secunderabad, and in dubai also)Mr. Santhosh (Bilkish Agent ) told me to to clear the account which is AED 11, 000/ . For i negotiated for AED 5000/ but the deal was set for INR 80, 000/ which was at that time equal to AED 5889/. So i paid it on dhs 5889/- on 07th july 2009 .later on there were no calls after a couple of years later, so many agents called me i took their call and explain to them and attached the paid receipt to the E-Mail ID their after the never called. The point to be noted is that 2009 to till date Bilkish never called me regarding the RAK bank nor they gave me Settlement copy or NOC.when i met them in Hyderabad They denied taking the money nor conformed about any employee working with the name of Mr.Santhosh.In 2015 i got call from

Dear Sir,

I am Mario Yazigi card holder of Rak Bank since 2006
i was paying my credit card installment regularly and my credit card has been expired on 2010 and i am struggled follow the bank for 2 month to get the card and no hope and shocking part of the story that i am paying the installment in full but i realized lately that the monthly installment are considered as interest in full and balance of the card has been never credited and still the same
i kindly need the full statement that clarified the above issue since day one
i didn't pay from July installment and i will hold the future payment until this issue will be clarified from your side

I got issued a Titanium Business Card back in Feb-2017, with a clear instruction to bank representative (Laxemi), to ensure a payment instruction of 100% of outstanding balance at the end of each month. To my surprise the instruction wasn't implemented, minimum payment of 100 AED was deducted only and interest against remaining amounts started accumulating!

Furthermore, the phone banking service is useless and unhelpful. Phone banking is wasting valuable time by listening to commercials, long list of options that doesn't serve the call purpose and no option to talk to a representative.

As a result, I have canceled the credit card and will make sure not to get a credit card with this bank again!

Sekhar/ joyce credit card loan recovery team leaders, I have told my 7 years of constant and continuous harassment from the rak bank agency even after payment of dhs 5889/- on 07th july 2009 which is also reflected in your statement, since the agency guy (billkish hyderabad) promised me of settlement letter. Till date I am getting call regarding the payments and settlement letter not given to me. Rakbank / The National Bank of Ras Al Khaimah settlement delay

I would like to raise a complaint here with regards to my settlement to ADCB. Actually, I applied and got approved for a personal loan in your bank last June.
I decided to get that loan to buy out my outstanding payments to ADCB because I have a loan there which I pay regularly by month and it will be finished early mid next year. I applied for a liability certificate to ADCB and received it on July 3 and gave it to the agent who processed my loan application. He also submitted it on sale department on that day. On the 5th of July, I received an sms and email from your bank about the AED 29, 025 which is debited from my account and prepared it as cheque for settlement payment in ADCB.
I always asked and followed-up my agent about the status, he said that it was already done by your bank but unfortunately the ADCB did not receive the cheque payment until now.
I called the ADCB many times if they receive it or not but so frustrating because it's been many days passed already but no action or feedback has been received! This is not fairly good because from the date I asked the liability certificate, I will pay for the penalty charge of the days if payment has not settled yet. And presently, my outstanding in ADCB is still there and they took my installment payment for JULY.

Please, I need your feedback to inform me the status and the issues of why it is still hanging. Because, no one from your bank call me and inform me on the status or problem about it. I want to know immediately. Please call my number [protected]

Rakbank / The National Bank of Ras Al Khaimah sk signature llc business loan installment

Dear sir

With reference the business loan of the Company SK signature LLC we would kindly enquire a justification on why RAK bank is requesting 2 months for loan installments (June & July 2017), whereby SK Signature LLC is only late to pay one month (July 2017).

We have been informed that during the Holy Month of Ramadan, RAK bank will differ the loan installment (June 2017) as they did last year (attached screen shot of the message to prove that)

And we were surprised receiving a call from an impolite bank representative who was shouting over the phone on the owner of the company blaming why SK Signature LLC didn’t pay the loan installment of June 2017.

Also he has received another call from another bank representative informing him that it was a bank mistake, that they didn’t submit the differ, and he requested to pay June installment.

Attached screen shots of the WhatsApp conversations with RAK bank team, also voice conversations are available upon request.

We kindly require an immediate clarification for the above, otherwise we will take an immediate legal action against the bank.

On another hand the loan is scheduled to be paid on the 15th of every month, hence SK signature LLC is late for 5 days (July month installment)

Even though we have been struggling in our cash collection from the market since 9 months due the overall market situation, and taking into consideration that we have been paying all our installments since day one, SK signature LLC, will stop the monthly payment until the above situation is solved.

Awaiting your clarification on the above within 48 hours.

Dear Sir,

I am writing this message to you so I can really express my feelings about your Out-of-date and stereotyped thoughts about some nation or a country. My name is Syed, I and my wife are teachers in a well reputed School in Dubai and we have salary accounts in RAK bank, few days before I was looking for personal loan for one of our colleague (she is from India) since she was in a bad situation but when I was told that RAK bank has some promotion for those who are making around 4, 000/- AED so upon the request of one of your representative, I applied for personal loan for us as well. We provided all the documents and a cheque was also signed for RAK bank as per the rule.

Today I received a call and the representative stated that RAK bank cannot process my application since I am from Pakistan which is considered a risky country according to your bank if you can really feel the insult that how embarrassing that was for me. I have been living in UAE for the last 10 years and never was involved in any illegal activity btw. Who are you to consider a country risky and if your thought are really so conservative and fixed because of someone who had done some fraud with your bank so how can you insult someone by expressing your thoughts so loudly. Just wanted to tell that change your mindset which is really insulting for others.
I have so much more to say but being a teacher I am considering this so much unscrupulous. I must say sorry my language as I never had such conversation with someone.

Try to improve you and your bank by thinking out of the box and if you really feel bad so don’t hesitate to call me to say sorry.

Rakbank / The National Bank of Ras Al Khaimah credit card late payment fee

Hi,

I am holding a credit card with Rakbank. I missed the payment for the first time this month. I always had a good track of repaying the amount This is the fist time that I missed my credit card payment and I raised a request for the reversal as this was not knowinlgy. I have paid back the entire amount as well. But still the bank has discarded the reversal request. This is quite disgusting about the Rakbank service.

It is very genuine that the customer should be eligible for a one time wave off of the late payment fee. The amount to be paid was AED238 while I am charged 249 late payment and finance charges above the billed amount

This is quite in appropriate. Please consider me as an unsatisfied customer and a very unpleasant experience with RakBank ; though I possess many other credit cards.

Having said, this leads me to cut off my all ties with the Rakbank by cancelling the credit card and discouraging all my friend circle to never opt for this type of unpleasant services.

Rakbank / The National Bank of Ras Al Khaimah personal loan officer

The below is the email I have issued to RAK bank after speaking to numerous employees. The fundamental issue is that I received funds for a personal loan and no more than 24 hours later I am now being chased by their debt collections team. After sending this email, the only corespondence I have received was a threatening phone call from a guys called Tariq who also asked my wife for selfies very inappropriately. I just cannot believe the level of service you deal with at RAK bank and in hindsight I would have been better staying with my original bank had I know what traumas this would cause...

Loan Payment - Personal Loan Agreement # [protected]

Dear Vinoth,

The lack of response to my various emails and phone calls is very concerning as I attach the offer letter received from you in May 2017 that did not stipulate a loan payment start date.

As you are fully aware, my loan was only released to me on the 29th of June 2017, yet I had the debt collections team phoning me 24 hours later to say that I need to pay my first installment. As im sure you are familiar with bank policy, once the money is released you have 30 to 45 days to make your first payment and not 24 hours. I have also attached a screen shot taken on the 29th of June 2017 showing that my first payment was only due on the 1st of August 2017. After speaking with Tariq who we met with you in my apartment, he told me to go to a branch to try and get the payment differed and Mr Murtuza Nalwala (customer service officer) spoke with Tariq while I was there and said this was not possible within the first 6 months of the loan or to try take out a loan to pay my loan payment via my credit card which was also refused by the RAK credit card team.

I would appreciate you to even answer one of my phone calls or emails as ignoring me after you now have my business does is not the right way to do business. You can resolve this according to Mr. Murtuza Nalwala and according to the debt collections department and that's why i am very concerned as to why you are ignoring me.

The above is an extract from your business ethos which I do not feel is being followed. All I ask from you is that I make my payments for my loan from the 1st of August 2017, 30 days after the money was released as per what agreed when you sought my business.

I have also attached my salary transfer letter to RAK bank that clearly states that ONLY my July onwards salaries will be available for my loan payments to RAK bank and not my June salary as this was owned by Emirates Islamic (Murad Zughair - Branch Manager copied in) and not by RAK bank therefore if RAK bank want to take a double payment from my July salary I will have no money for rent or food which is against how the loan was structured as I cannot have more than 50% of my salary being paid towards a loan.

Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated as this is really effecting my family and my health.

Rakbank / The National Bank of Ras Al Khaimah tl update

Dear Sir,

We had updated out trade license last year.It was after a lot of struggle and procedures that we had manged to update our details last year.

Now after renewing our trade license with the same details and no changes whatsoever, when we are trying to update the trade license in bank, we are being told that there is a 'PROFILE CHANGE'.This is quite alarming, since we first received the email from bank stating that the system has been updated and later another mail is received saying that the system has not been updated due to 'PROFILE CHANGES'.It is disturbing because, as mentioned before, there has absolutely been no changes made to our profile.

Kindly look into this matter on an urgent basis as we do not wish to waste our time on this matter again this year.Hoping to hear from you soon.

Rakbank / The National Bank of Ras Al Khaimah credit card

My Credit card has been write off and closed in 2012 with a no liability letter from RAK bank.
The last time I approached for a loan I was informed by the Credit Bureau that my payments with RAK bank have been defaulted. I have a raised the concern thorough the Customer service team under ref [protected] with no favourable reply nor an update.
Would appreciate if the matter is looked in and reverted with an update, Thanks
