Aldo customer and sales service

Horrible experience at Southpoint Mall in Durham, NC. The store have ordered a pair of shoes that was shipped to the same store. They said they will call me when the shoes arrive but that never happened. After almost a month I had to callthestore. The sales rep (clame to be a store manager) hang up on me in the middle of my explanation about the reason for my call. Thay had my phone number on file but no returned call so no doubt that the sales representative hung up on me.
2. Misrepresentation : couple of people introduced themselves as a store manager where in reality it is only one store manager.
3. They B. S. about the return policy. Make sure you call Canadian customer service to get the right information regarding the return policy (if you decide to buy anything).
After the complains and wasted time on the phone with sales rep, customer service and the "District Manager" (so she said she is) i asked: "so what do I get in return for all this hassle?" The answer was "NOTHING".
From my shopping experience in Canada any store manager, let alone a district manager, would offer some forme of discount on your next purchase or a voucer in any Canadian Aldo store in this kind of circumstances.

Aldo very bad service

Made a purchase with www.aldoshoes.com and everything went fine. I paid for the product and received a payment confirmation email.
Several days later I received a message from Aldo stating my order was cancelled because my item was no longer in stock and I was offered a refund.
They seemed nice and I thought they were honest, but weeks passed and there was no money!
When I contacted them about my money they spoke very rudely.
Hope I'll get my money back but I'm not sure about that.

Aldo I'm not ordering from aldo ever again!

Ordered some shoes from this website and they did not fit. I contacted Aldo customer service and made a refund request and they said that I have to send the wrong pair back. I paid for the return shipping and sent the shoes back. When I received a notification from UPS that shoes were delivered to Aldo I contacted them and asked about my money. They claimed that they never got the shoes and that they could not give me a refund!
Such a terrible experience!

Aldo customer service, orders, returns

You better hope that you do not have to send a pair of shoes back to aldo. Their back office is a mess.
My daughter liked a pair of shoes at retail location that did not have her size. So they ordered it to be sent to our home. We received the delivery that contained a different pair of shoes in a size three times bigger than my daughters feet. When we called to have the correct shoes sent they informed us they were out of the shoe. This began a 3 month long nightmare to get my money back. I still have not been refunded. The original purchase was March 14, 2016 and it is May 3rd.
We sent the shoes back asap and never got a note or call saying they were received (or a refund). I called on April 8 and was informed that they received the shoes on March 28 but needed my CC to make the refund but no-one called me. So on April 8 I gave them my CC and was told they would process it asap. It is May 3 now and I still have not been refunded. I called today and was told that the CC number was recorded wrong and the refund did not go through on 4/8. I asked why I was not called and the response was that it was too late (after 11:00pm) to call me. So the ball was dropped again. No-one called the next day either. Which brings me back to today May 8. I wanted to speak to a supervisor but they were all in meetings. Supposedly my credit will be processed tonight. We shall see.
I will never shop at aldo again. I did not capitalize their name because they do not deserve it.

Aldo two different size of one pair shoes

Hello, I am Ahmed Sobhy from Cairo-Egypt.
I was in Dubai trip between 22nd to 28th January, 2016.
I went to Aldo branch in Dubai mall in 23rd January bought some staff with nearly 579 AED one of the said is black boot & after buying such boot & upon my arrival to my home town Cairo-Egypt, I found of the pair I had bough size is 37 & the other one is 38!
How come we face such problem & what should we do like that !

Worth to mention when we try such boot we complained about some scratch but they told me it is the last piece.

So may you please contact Aldo Egypt branch in Cairo festival city to change the said boot with any other appropriate pair or even other model please.

I am looking forward for your necessary action please.

I’m with you on that one. I owned a pair of ALDO boots. Worn them maybe 4 times since the purchase. Last night on my way to a party the soles of both shoes came off at the same time. Very strange. At the end of the evening the leather of the entire boot looked like a cat scratched them up. I’m anti-Aldo. I have shoes from 10 years last longer then Aldo.

Aldo incorrect bag

I am a foreign customer, and i bought three bags on aldo online store (Www. Aldoshoes.com / us)
And i filled in my friend's address who lives in or. My friend did not open the parcel when she received it. Then she sent it to me.
I find they sent me two incorrect bags when i received it on nov. 6th. And these bags are even cheaper than what i want to buy.
Then i contacted with aldo, but they told me the only way to refund is return there bags. But i have already paid about 60 shipping fee from u. S to my country. The shipping fee is too high to return. And they even do not compensate the price difference.
I sent a email about the photo of these incorrect bags, but i have not received any reply after two days.
At the same time, the quality of bags are bad and their customer service is even worse.

Aldo assault

While standing outside the Aldo shop located at 141 Queen Street, Brisbane, QLD 4000, Australia, two Aldo employees knocked into me (I'm convinced on purpose) three times, presumably because they were annoyed that I was standing in their way. Then, one of them told me in a hostile and highly unprofessional way ""You guys have to move. You're in our way. We have to go in and out of these doors." This was not even Aldo's private property, but the lobby of a large office complex, and it was completely unreasonable to assert that I was in their way in relation to the doors. Even ten, it's not ok to intentionally barge into someone... that is assault!

Aldo unprofessional and disorganized

I’m very disappointed in Aldo. I’m disappointed with the DISorganization so much so that I’d rather not shop at their store or online. A couple years ago, I decided to never shop with them again after I ordered a pair of shoes I really really really wanted online. I had been waiting and actually had the luck of ordering the few that were left in my size. They never came. When I called Aldo, they said that they attempted to deliver 3 times. The shoes were sent back after that since no one signed their life away to accepting them. However, I only received ONE notice of “failed delivery.” Long story short, I decided I would not buy from them again after CS said they couldn’t just resend them if there are no other pairs in my size left.

Fast forward to 09-28-13. I received a $50 Aldo gift card. Since I had a wedding photo shoot on 10-06-13 and needed shoes, I figured I’d use it there for budget reasons. I bought the size 38 “Nunes.” I wore them the next morning for breakfast and noticed something faulty with the heel. The stiletto portion was separating from the heel of the shoe. Defective! Luckily I went back to the same Aldo in the North County Fair Mall (272 E Via Rancho Pkwy, Escondido, CA), and the same guy, Arthur, from the night before was there. He was happy to help. The problem was, they did not have an additional pair in my size. No problem. Arthur said he’d order them in-store and they should come before 10-06-13. I told him about my experience a few years ago and he thought it’d be fine. I thought it’d be fine. What are the chances, right? He even had me look at the computer screen to ensure my name, address, phone number and email were all correct. They were. Shortly after, I get an email confirmation that stated:

SHIPPING DATE: between Oct 07, 2013 and Oct 11, 2013
DELIVERY DATE: between Oct 03, 2013 and Oct 11, 2013

SO there’s a possibility that they can arrive BEFORE they’re shipped. That’s cool! But, 10-05-13 rolls around and I still had no shoes. I am frantically calling around to different Aldo stores. A representative at the North County Fair Mall told me over the phone that Otay Ranch, Horton Plaza Mall and the Fashion Valley Mall locations have the shoe in my size. I called Fashion Valley Mall since they’re closest to home and their line was busy for AT LEAST FIVE HOURS before I gave up. I called North County Fair back, and they too were unable to get through to the Fashion Valley Mall location. I decide to drive straight to the Horton Plaza location. They told me in person, they do not have that shoe in my size, in store. As a matter of fact, the Nunes shoes do not exist in their system. I gave her the “DCS” number (DCS: 11-08-03) that I found on the website. I even spelled it, and she read back some other name that was not REMOTELY close. They had no explanation as to why the shoes were in the system as “in-store” at their location. So I left. Frustrated.

It’s getting to be closing time at the malls on Saturday (still can’t get ahold of Fashion Valley). I call the Otay Ranch/Chula Vista Aldo (which is a decent 22-25 miles from where I was at the time and 15-20 miles from my home). The gal, I think it was Melissa maybe Vanessa, told me that she indeed had a pair of the Nunes in black and in my size. Yesssss! I am flying on the freeway to the store that closes in less than half an hour and just my luck… they could only find HALF of the pair. The other shoe was missing and could not be located. She was very apologetic, so I figured after all this drama, I was not meant to have this pair of shoes. I accepted that.

But I had no choice; I needed shoes for the photo shoot the next morning. Aldo already took my $50 gift card from me for the Nunes pair, so I end up buying the “Mican” for $110 of my own cash. Essentially, I’m $150 out of pocket trying to cut corners and budget by using the gift card.

About the third week of October I still have not received my Nunes (which I intended on returning the moment they arrived since I had the Micans). I check the tracking status on the UPS website and it said they were delivered about one week before. N E G A T I V E! I never received them. I even checked with neighbors to either side of me and they knew nothing of it. I call Aldo. I was told to open a claim/investigation with UPS and that I should hear back from Aldo shortly after that. UPS called. I answered a few questions and that was at the end of October 2013. A few days later, a UPS delivery person came to my door and had me sign something that confirmed I indeed NEVER received the package. Should be done right?

November 7, 2013, Aldo still had not contacted me so I decide to give them a call. Naturally, CSR Vanessa in Canada tells me that UPS was unable to locate the package and/or could not find my address. I should have received an email on the refund process. Again, N E G A T I V E. I received no such email. She attempts to locate my order and after 10 minutes of holding says, “I cannot locate your order and method of ORIGINAL payment in order to refund you accordingly.” The refund department would call me within 24-48 hours.

I was entirely over it. But the bus does not stop there. After this debacle, I figured Aldo would be generous enough to allow me to use my gift card towards the Mican pair once the Nunes were refunded. In other words, “returning” the Micans and then instantly buying them again using the gift card and my own cash like I did with the Nunes. That was the whole point of this, right? Use my gift card.

Long long long story shortened, I tell Aldo to send the refund email/info to Otay Ranch since that’s where I bought the Micans. Hopefully they will remember/understand my UPS drama and work with me on applying the gift card to the Micans.

On 11-09-13, I head in and begin to explain to the nice sales gal about the refund/email and how I would like to apply my gift card to the pair of Micans since I never received the Nunes and would be getting a refund today. I prefaced it with, “this might be more of a ‘manager’ type question, but let me explain.” I had brought the Micans with me in their box with the original receipt in PRESTINE condition. I can tell that she is a little confused by my jumbled (brief) explanation and I turned to my boyfriend and said, “Am I explaining this right? I know it’s confusing.” He begins to explain it to her. I will add that he has no emotional investment in these shoes. He has not experienced the frustration with the reps and UPS that I have. Therefore, he has no reason to be angry, upset, frustrated with this gal. Matter of fact, I have NO reason to be upset with her. She has NO idea what has happened in the last month. My BF… could care LESS about my damn shoes. I also know the music is quite loud in Aldo and my BF naturally has a strong command presence. Suddenly, the manager Steven, is yelling from the front of the store and coming toward the counter, “Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! You don’t need to talk to her like that!” He yelled something to the effect of “if we had problem, he was the manager, so we could take it up with him.” And from there he was the EPITOME of unprofessional. There was no point in arguing with him except for saying twice that we weren’t yelling AT her. He obviously misinterpreted our interaction and was trying to assert his authority. He didn’t pick up on the body language of the THREE of us looking at him in utter confusion. Unfortunately, the gal didn’t intervene and tell him she was fine (she told us later once Steven was in the back area on the phone and out of ear shot by WHISPERING, “you weren’t yelling.” Which was also frustrating.).

When he started plugging away at the computer concerning my refund (which took him about 45 minutes to figure out), I turned to my boyfriend and whispered, “You weren’t even yelling babe.” And Steven again yells, “Yeah you were! I could hear you from the front of the store!” I was blown away. Wow.

I completely understand that you shouldn’t let people walk over you. I’m sure he gets enough of that working in that industry. But, by no means did we have any reason to be rude with her. AND BY NO MEANS DID HE HAVE ANY REASON TO BE DISCOURTEOUS TO US. I’ve learned that that doesn’t get you anywhere with getting what you want/need in LIFE. It’s just wasted energy.

The bottom line was: I just want my money back and apply my gift card to the shoes I actually received. That is that. He tells me that it is not an option. In fact, he was already “bending the rules” for me since I did not have my original receipt for the Nunes pair. Isn’t that why a “refund email” was sent to the store to begin with? After almost an hour in that store, and listening to Steven’s nonsense, I realize that I don’t have the credit card I originally paid with.

Does this nightmare ever end? I ask him to have the email sent to the North County Fair Mall location (my BF lives up there) and I’ll just get my refund there later on in the day. He tells me to bring my receipt so it’d be faster/easier.

I arrive at the North County Fair Mall location just before closing that same night WITH MY RECEIPT per Sergeant Steven. The manager tells me that she had spoke to Steven earlier in the day and that she understood that I already received my refund.

What else can I do but smile?

There is absolutely NOTHING, NOTHING I can do but smile and tell her, “No. No I haven’t. I didn’t have my original credit card with me. So I never received a refund.” So I wait another 30 minutes while she finishes up with another customer and then research my story with Otay Ranch, I guess. I finally get that silly gift card and $40ish back on my card. A gift card I will never use and hope to sell it to Plastic Jungle or Gift Card Rescue, maybe Craigslist if it’s allowed in their policy.

I believe that Aldo was the major malfunction here (F.U.B.A.R.), so why am I getting the super short end of the stick?

Ultimately, I wanted customers, and Aldo, to be aware of the unprofessionalism, incompetence and disorder I experienced. Hopefully, customers will think twice before buying someone a gift card or any merchandise from Aldo. Especially with the holidays fast approaching. DSW or Famous Footwear are better alternatives.

Aldo false return policy

More than a month ago, I bought a pair of shoes online for a wedding, they were too small. I returned them online and purchased a larger pair and matching clutch. So now
I have returned 2 separate shipments over a month ago and my credit card has not been reimbursed. The first order was for $43.49 and the second order was for $63.26.
I have notified ALDO SHOES CANADA 5 times and received only one response that told me to track my order. I checked to make sure the returned items were delivered back to them..they were delivered to them a month ago.
ALDO SHOES CANADA is stealing from me as far as I am concerned. Shame on them.

Aldo beware of buying aldo shoes online

I bought a pair of suede shoes from the Aldoshoes.ca website, had them shipped to the store, and when I went to pick them up, they were severely damaged and used. This is not the first time that this happened to me when buying shoes online. The same thing happened when I bought a pair of sandals, but the difference this time is that I needed these by a certain date since I would be travelling abroad for my sister's graduation. I asked for a refund since I could not take these damaged shoes home with me, but everything was refunded except for the shipping fee.

I was surprised that the shipping was not refunded for the damaged order for these reasons:
- I bought these shoes online and had them shipped to the store, rather than my home address (if I went into the store and ordered them, the shipping would be free) and I would assume that the store gets regular shoe shipments, so therefore it would not be a stretch to have the shipping refunded
- The Aldo shoes website has free shipping for orders over $75 and had I spent $6 more, shipping would be free. This makes me wonder that if they are able to offer free shipping based on how much a customer spends, then the same should hold true if there is a major problem for the purchase that the customer made online
- Finally, it is unethical for them to make me pay for their mistakes and not refund the total purchase price

When I phone Aldo Shoes customer service, I got the same story. I was told that I am paying for the UPS service to deliver the shoes to the store. If the shoes were not damaged, I would have taken them home with me but since they were, this was out of my control and I am still on the hook for a portion of the costs. Aldo shoes will not accept responsibility for their actions. After much negotiation with the telephone rep, I was given a 10% discount on my NEXT purchase -- which I appreciate anything at this point that hints that Aldo has any concern for customer satisfaction, it is useless to me since I already have a discount card that gives me the same % off with each purchase. I told the rep this and she told me there was nothing else they could do, which demanded even more negotiating and explaining the situation, at which point I was put on hold for a very long time and finally they raised the discount to 15%, or lets say $2.50 more off on a $50 purchase.

After this whole traitorous experience and having to deal with rude store employees and somewhat unhelpful telephone reps, I did not get my shoes in time or my shipping refunded.

Below are photos that I took of the damaged shoes that were given to me. I also wanted to add that the store staff immediately commented on the terrible condition they were in, but when it came to refunding the original shipping cost, they told me that their manager would definitely say that the shoes are not "damaged, " but just "dusty." These are definitely not dusty, but used, and worn, and need to be disposed of:

Aldo it going on 3weeks now... pissed

Just wanted to share my displeasant/first experience with aldo (online) this past 3weeks. on november 18th was my first and last time ordering with aldo. I placed that order 3weeks ago and it's still not here as of today (december 2) and then when I called customer service the young girl could not give me any info about my order. very disappointment. I will be blogging this and youtube my experience to warn others. the sad part about my experience on there behalf, is all I order was a pair of ears. so the tells me if I would have order clothers or shoes I would be waiting 6 months. please think before shopping with aldo.

Aldo worst shipping and customer service

I ordered shoes in the store, gave the guy my driver's license for the correct address, and of course he entered it incorrectly. I have called customer service three times, sent in an email. Every time I am assured that they have corrected the mistake. However, today I find out the shoes I paid for were delivered and left on the porch of the wrong address. I have no emails confirming or even telling me where my shoes are. At this moment, I am out my money and have no product. The worst experience I have ever had.

I have had so many issues with shopping at the alfo website. Its so annoying. Everything from them not shipping me an item, to them shipping me pair if shoes with two different sizes. One an 8 the other a 5! They have screwed up in placing orders, shipping orders and giving refunds. Ugghhh not shopping there anymore.

Aldo bad shoes

I bought a pair of aldo shoes and wore it less than 1 month. I took it to aldo and the associate mentioned that he could repair them for me since the heel had come off. I went back to the store and another associate mentioned that they would not return or repair the shoe since the heel had some off, and it was from wear and tear! I am very careful with my shoes and deserve a refund for them. They were about 45$ only..and now aldo just makes me think twice about shopping there again, if the shoes can only last like a month..Please contact me as soon as possible to fix this.

I have order aldo sandal wedge online, but when they send it to me is 2 different kind of sandal, i call the customer service, they said i have to go online&follow instruction to return it, this company are suck cause, if they don't have the pair i wanted just don't sell it to me, instead of sending me a 2 different kind. bad service rated -101% & suck customer service.

Aldo do not work at them

Working at Aldo shoes really sucks. You do get yell at if you do not make your weekly goal. and if you dont make your goal you have to be at a meeting at 6AM that might be an hour drive which they do not pay for your gas. and you will get yell at if you show up late. working part-time you do not get commission and holidays paid. when working holiday you do not get that extra money on your paycheck i think that really unfair. only full-time gets the holidays paid and commission. aldo spend more money on club elite than there employees. I think it time for aldo shoes to make some changes.

Aldo so frustrating!

I recently asked for a pair of boots and a bag from Aldo for my birthday. My mother ordered both online. I received the boots on my birthday and loved them! Sadly my mother said the bag did not come in yet. She said it was supposed to be shipped in six days prior to my birthday! So i called the Aldo customer service line with the order number and told them my story. First of all, the woman on the was not very pleasant. She didn't apologize and she did not act professional. She told me she would "check on it" and "see what was up". She immediately hung up the phone and did not tell me when to expect my order. When four days passed and I still did not receive my bag I emailed the company with my complaint. After three days I still did not have my order and I did not get a reply to my email. I recently called the customer service hotline enraged! This time the woman was very nice and apologized for the inconvenience. She told me my bag had not even been shipped out yet! After almost two weeks! She said she would make sure it got sent out the following day and that I would receive it in three to six business days. And you git it ladies and gentlemen, I still have not received my $40 backpack! What the heck! Being a frequent shopper I thought I would receive more respect...but now I will NEVER shop at Aldo again!

Aldo bad customer service & attitude

I bought two pairs of boots on aldo.com. and they are just not comfortable. all i wanted was to return it. But the store assistance and Manger (Steven) just had that very bad attitudes towards us. There are nothing wrong with my boots, except there is tiny rock stuck underneath the bottom, and they insisted that i have worn those outdoor. Also, because I have tried both pairs in my room, in which my floor is not as clean as Aldo's. So they ensure that I have worn these boots outside, which I never did. I want to return those pairs of boots because they made up by cheap materials and they hurt my feet after i tried them. I would have kept them if they did not hurt my feet so bad, and make me so uncomfortable. It leaves me no choice but returning those boots. The main customer service also email the manager (Steven) but he never called me to solve the problem, and when I called him, he kept arguing with bad attitude.

Aldo worst experience ever!

Do not shop here! At least not the one on 5th ave
This past weekend i went to the store on 97 5th avenue and had the worst experience ever. We had terrible customer service but i decided to still buy a pair of boots. Big mistake. The salesperson was extremely rude and when i got home, there was only one shoe in the box. I did not get upset because everyone makes mistakes. When i called the store back, instead of apologizing, the salesgirl accused me of trying to steal a single shoe. She was very ### and kept saying she brought me both shoes. At every shoe store, the sales associate checks the box to make sure both shoes are in the box and are the proper size. I was getting very annoyed and asked if i could return the shoe and she said that i could not. I told her i did not appreciate her accusing me of stealing. If i wanted to steal, i would not have all the details of the transaction and one shoe. Five minutes later she found the shoe and said she would out it on hold. In all this time, she never once apologized or admitted she was wrong.
Overall, aldo has definitely lost a lot of customers because i definitely have told everyone to avoid shopping there. Hopefully they will change their customer service in the future.

Aldo never again

I bought a pair of boots at Aldo online, received them only to notice that the seam was not sewed. I went to an Aldo store to see if they could be repaired, they took the boots and said it could take 1-2 weeks and they would call me. 2 weeks later no call, I call them, they haven't been sent out yet. Two more weeks go buy no call, I call again, oh now the boots can't be repaired! So a month goes by and no one tries to contact the customer to let the customer be aware of the situation, or send out merchandise to be repaired after 2 weeks. On top of that they didn't have that boot in stock and couldn't order me another pair and when I decided to get a different pair of boots they didn't have those either and also couldn't get them from another store. They couldn't refund my money so they gave me a gift card for the amount of the boots, only to use for in-store purchases only. The next day I look online to see the original boots I wanted in my size, that they said they couldn't order. Needless to say ALDO'S BOOTS ARE TRASH AND THE PLACE BLOWS. NOW I KNOW NOT TO WASTE MY TIME OR MONEY ON SUCH A ### PLACE WITH SERVICE THAT SUCKS. Thats ok cause I love to buy boots and most certainly give my business to such a rip off place. THANK YOU! :)

Aldo bad business

I am very displeased with the bad business at the Aldo Store at Town East Mall. On Thursday July 22nd I went back to the Aldo store to buy the Sandford shoes in black because I had purchased the brown pair on Saturday and thought they were beautiful. I was completely appalled when the sales girl tried to up-sale me the sole pads for shoes again. I explained to her that the shoe did not need it because they had rubber sole and she replied that she didn’t know. I showed her my receipt and one sole pad and told her that I had purchased the Sandford shoe in brown on Saturday July 17th and I was up-sold non slip sole pads upon my purchase and the sales guy applied them to the shoes at the register and must have thrown the package away. When I wore the shoes to work on Monday I noticed one sole pad on the floor but the other was gone it had fallen off unsuspected. I was very upset that I was sold non-slip stick-on sole pads when they were not even needed. I figured I would hold onto my receipt and when I went back to buy the black pair I would tell them and show them the one sole pad I had and they would reimburse me my money back. The sales girl spoke to a gentleman named Luis I don’t’ know if he was the store manager, He was rude and somewhat argumentative and refused to reimburse my money because I didn't have both sole pads and I didn't have the original package. He said I should have been told that you have to leave the sole pads stick for 24 hours before you can wear the shoes. I was tempted to not purchase the second pair of shoes that day but I still did because Aldo had beautiful shoes, however, I don’t think I want to shop at Aldo anymore. I purchased two pairs of $80 shoes and they sell me a pair of $5.49 non-slip stick on sole pads that I don’t even need and then they refuse to refund my money back when they didn’t even stick on for one wear.
