Alberta Children Hospital Wrong prescription - eye glasses

Hello

My daughter who was 13 years old was given an eye exam on February 1/22 at the Alberta Children's Hospital. After the exam, she was give a new prescription for eye glasses. She has always indicated that she cant wear them as she is having difficulties focusing and her depth perception is causing her to trip and run into walls etc. We decided to get her eyes rechecked at our local opthalmologist and the prescription was completely wrong. I then had to buy another pair of glasses and lenses for her which costs an addition $214 dollars. I have attached the exam results. As a consequence, she has been wearing the wrong prescription for nine months that may have further damaged her eyes. I always put my faith into the doctors and their exams but this seems so wrong. I didnt believe her and said she had to get used to her glasses. I just wanted to make a complaint against the doctor who performed this exam as it was completely wrong.

Karen

Desired outcome: A refund of the new glasses would be much appreciated as I had to buy another pair for her as the first pair were completely wrong.

Alberta Children Hospital Stollery Children's Hospital

The unit in 5G4 Subunits of the Stollery was the worst experience I ever had, while my 5 month old son was admitted again because he was loosing weight, after a week they started giving me excuses after excuses on why he couldn't go home, he's gaining weight, then he's loosing, then gaining again but too fast, but still somehow under weight. Then it was a fever. Then it all boiled down to me being depressed and unfit to take him home so the resident doctor called Child Services and now broke my family apart. Like I really needed that stress in my life.

Desired outcome: There was none, I am still being bothered by CPS.

Alberta Children Hospital Emergency doctor

“It was another sad day in Alberta!” No meds and not a proper response at the Children’s Hospital!

We arrived at the Alberta Children’s Hospital at 11:00am

Sunday November 28th, 2022

My son’s symptoms: Diarrhea, Vomiting, dehydration, Mucus, Fever, Pale skin, Rash on his stomach, Weakness Fatigue, and Stomach Pains.

I arrived at the children’s hospital this morning after 2 straight weeks of struggles with my 6 year boy. The previous family doctor prescribed antibiotics and prednisone and it did not help my son because he continued to be sick everyday, this is why I chose to go for option #2 to take him to emergency for a check up, I usually refuse to go to hospitals unless it’s a REAL emergency it has probably been 3 years since the last time I had my son’s heart checked at this same hospital. Today I experienced the worst of the worst service in health care in the Alberta’s Children’s Hospital, my wait time was around 6 hours. The hospitals website was not up to date with false information on wait hours, triage checked him in and took all the information and details of all the symptoms they gave him a urine test which I have no idea of my son’s results, My son was coughing non stop with vomiting and stomach pains, we finally got called in by a Doctor and we walked into the bed area and she barely checked him out she did the same check up as the triage station only to check his oxygen levels and she re-checked his lungs with a stethoscope, my son was vomiting and she did not even offer him a container to vomit, he had to vomit in his mask that he had on. The Doctor than told me that she could not help me with anything that I had to wait until the virus cleared up that she was not able to provide me with medication, I refused to leave until someone else stepped in, the Doctor did not handle the situation very well therefore she called a Social Worker. I am very concerned about the lack of professionalism and caring support, in this particular Doctor and how she handled the situation versus the Social Worker who was more supportive towards the situation, as a concerned mother I asked for more tests to be done and for fever medication, another nurse stepped in and she did a nose swab test for my son and provided me with 2 medical Pipettes with a little bit of Advil inside. No medicine was prescribed and was told to give him adult medication, no further tests were administer for my son.

Alberta Children Hospital ACH mental health ER

I have just learnt how badly #albertacholdrenshospital sabatoges families instead of providing children support, exactly like #woodshomes and #childrensservices work together to do... Actually, I already knew that. #PTSDcare

- May 25 denied treatment and cancellation of a form 10 before speaking with guardian

- August 7th claiming false information in admissions reports as well as ER reports of parents to Children's services when denying treatment to 13 year old on form 10 for suicidality

Desired outcome: Suicidality care for my child and an end to the direct actions of sabotages to me (parent) to end

Alberta Children Hospital Medical Mal Practise, Wrong Treatment, Wrong Accusations and Medical Assault at Alberta Children Hospital, Foothills Unit 26

My name is Marc

I am 16 years old and I was misdiagnosed and given wrong medications in 2012. I lost weight ever since and the Drs did not
admit their mistakes instead they forced my parents to let me be at their hospital. My parents wanted to bring me to another Dr to
get second or third opinion but they did not come that far .Alberta Children Hospital let Child and Family Services apprehended me
and handcuffed my dad who wanted to protect me from brutally apprehension .I was sick and my heart was ill that time. No one
cared how I felt. No one believed me. They even wanted to diagnose me with " mental disorder" so that i can not speak up or defend myself anymore or they could cover up their medical assault ( treating me like an animal without my consent)They took my parents Custody away so that they can not protect me. Then they detained me at Alberta Children Hospital under wrong accusations. They wrote assessments with lots of lies and the Drs who wrote these things have not even examined me. And then they sent me to a total creepy place called YAP in foot Hill calgary.
Article 3: In an action that affects a child adults should take the best interests of the child into account.( No this is not even
considered by these officials)
Article 6: Every child has a right to life.
Yes I do but how can my life be safe when I am wrongly diagnosed and I can not even see another Doctors for second or third opinion. How can my life be a life when I am forced to eat unhealthy food which can cause serious health issues? What is life when my life is just forced feeding to reach a certain weight back without any activities as no one knows why I lost weight
Article 12: Every child has a right to an opinion and for it to be heard and taken seriously
Yes, in canada, a 16 years old can decide to have abortion and can have her own opinion against the will of parents but a child
who says the truth and is misdiagnosed and mistreated has no rights .I am a God believer and I was ridiculed. I am a vegetarian
and my belief is not respected .I was forced with milk products though I can not consume much milk or eggs. How is that fair ? I
am detained in a program called YAP at Foothills Medical Care and I do not have any mental issues so they invent one .How is that fair ?
I am asking for the public to take a look into the ACH. FMC .and CFS as they are using their power on innocent child like me
I am sending this request through friends as I am isolated and detained in Unit 26 Foot Hills Medical Center and I wish some one
would contact my parents so that they can help me
You must send inspectors to Alberta Children Hospital who refused to show me my patient charts, who diagnosed me with Miller Fisher and gave me IVIG and then diagnosed me with Wernickes . I suffered under all these signs after that
Hives, swelling in the mouth or throat, itching, trouble breathing, wheezing, fainting or dizziness. These could be signs of a serious allergic reaction.
Bad headache with nausea, vomiting, stiff neck, fever, and sensitivity to light. These could be signs of irritation of the lining around your brain.
Reduced urination, sudden weight gain, or swelling in your legs. These could be signs of a kidney problem.
Pain, swelling, warmth, redness, or a lump in your legs or arms. These could be signs of a blood clot.
Brown or red urine, fast heart rate, yellow skin or eyes. These could be signs of a liver problem or a blood problem.
Chest pain or trouble breathing, blue lips or extremities. These could be signs of a serious heart or lung problem.
Fever over 100°F. This could be a sign of an infection.
Until to day I am not allowed to see any other doctors than the drs who has destroyed my life. They detained me and made me a mentally ### person so that i have no more rights. I have lost weight does not make me an eating disorder person.. But my wishes are ignored, my religious freedom is violated. My culture and belief is violated. I am told, to be close to my parents as 16years old is inappropriate .I come from different culture and i love my parents. I can not even be in my parents arms when I want to. Am i a human or what am I ? Why dont I have rights?
The pictures I attach will show you the neglect in the hospital
YAP progam, in the building of Foot Hills Medical Care is in Unit 26 where the building is locked and treated like a jail with kids with real mental issues. If this unit does not violate children's right then I do not believe in any system anymore.
This program should be shut down
Next, The team in ACH wrote assessments without even knowing me longer than 15 or 30 minutes . They do not even know my family and they wrote 13 pages long assessment
All Drs invovled were, Dr Adam Kirton, Dr Pinzon( licensee expired in 1996, if he has new one we do not know but how can this person wrote assessment about me )Dr Bailey, Dr Chow, Dr Elliot, many nurses, Dr Owen and Dr Ritchie form FMC .
They all did great jobs by slandering my family and let CFS invovled
At the court my parents were not even given a chance to reveal the truth about all neglects by Drs as Judge Brown would not allow my parents to say anything about that ( he said: we are not to criticize against Canadian Doctors)
Dr Ritchie from FMC who saw me for 10 minutes wrote that I am harmful to myself and others( i have witness from all youth leaders, family workers, friends that I would not even harm an ant)
Now I may ask...where is justice?
How can CFS apprehend me without any proof?
Every murder has a right but not a family
Why is that?
I request someone would follow up for me and my family

Attached are Images of neglect( my urine cup was dirty and was never cleaned, i lived in a room without my bed sheet or bed cover was changed, my monitor was always in error) These all happened at Alberta Children

YAP program Unit 26 Foot Hills Calgary forbid cameras and internet so I can not upload the status of the place I am detained

CFS apprehended me under wrong name and the case was filed under wrong name and the judge approved ( Family Court Calgary)
