Albany RV repair service

Ordered Forest River Rockwood camper in Oct. 2017 from the show at Rotterdam Square Mall, came in in mid Feb., inspected it after we waited 1 hour because they had to find it and it was beautiful, went to demo 2 weeks later and they broke the shade and fascia when closing it, now its Feb. 28th, they placed order to get parts to fix it, said approx. 4 weeks, got parts in and wrong parts were sent, still no parts by April 10th, Dan and I picked it up to find out that it was burglarized, stole tv and damaged door and cubby door, and battery was dead, repairmen came April 24th to house to fix everything that was wrong. Only fixed shade, fascia came broke again, didn't have battery, didn't have screws to mount tv which was only 39" and is supposed to be 43", put new lock in door but no doors have been ordered yet so that will probably be another 8 weeks or more, supposed to come back today to bring battery and mount tv while we are waiting for correct one. Call them and they never answer phone, takes them days to get back to you, but they roll out the red carpet when you buy it and will tell you that they have the best service dept. anywhere. Share with everyone you know so nobody else has to go through what we are. Going on 3rd payment and still don't have a new camper! Heading to camp on Sunday with a broken camper...very sad, had to take Xanax yesterday to calm myself down, and I never take that [censored]. Oh yeah, don't bother filing with the Better Business Bureau cause they don't do [censored] either, no help out there for the consumer. Update-they came today with a new battery and the correct tv...one step closer, only took 2 months. They won't talk to my husband because he got mad and demanded to talk to someone instead of being transferred to a voice mail, they hung up on him 3 times.

UPDATE - nothing to report. Still broken. The new manager at Albany RV called me today (June 2018) to tell me that the entry door and cubby doors were in, but they came in damaged! Everything they get in comes in damaged, so now it will be another 3-4 weeks before the new ones come in. He actually had the nerve to tell me he was calling with good and bad news, and when I asked him what the good news is he said that he called me. These people think it's a joke! And as I told him, when the new doors come in, call me if he is still there. This is the third new manager I've dealt with since February, unfu..ing believeable. So please still DO NOT BUY FROM ALBANY RV! Time to call an attorney and the news media! My new camper, but buyers beware---don't buy from Albany RV.

UPDATE - October 17, 2018 - today repairmen came to install the new door, cubby and fascia. Of course that didn't happen. They only had the new door. The cubby door was not reordered so will still be waiting until God knows when for that and they said they didn't know anything about the fascia. I called Mark Strollo, owner of Albany RV and when I told him what was going on and called his staff incompetent, he told me he did not have incompetent staff. Really, look up the word in the dictionary. If it took me over 8 months to do one job and I still didn't do it right, I would have been fired! He told me I just don't know how the ordering system works, really, we order complete kitchens from vendors and are told 4-6 weeks to receive and have never had them come damaged or wait 8 months. He is supposedly going to check into it and get back to me by tomorrow morning. We'll see. PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM AND SHARE WITH AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE!

Albany RV scamming sales

Found a camper for sale by Albany RV posted by Emily Walter posted on FaceBook marketplace. Showed it to the wife and she fell in love. We discussed it over the weekend as we were already on vacation and decided to leave the deposit Emily was asking for so the wife called Monday morning and left it. WELL THEN turns out the price was WRONG (yeah okay) and the camper was $1000 more. This is a very typical slime ball marketing technique used by used car dealers and apparently RV dealers also to drag you in to a cheap price and then up the price. No way am I falling for this, hopefully we get our deposit back. I can only imagine what other fees would be attached if we drove the 5 hours to the dealership to pick it up. After reading reviews of this company you would have to be stupid to buy from them. On a side note, the saleswoman Emily was very nice and did take all the pictures we asked for.

Albany RV recall service

We received a recall notice for the 2017 Jayco we bought at Albany RV. After not returning my call for over 1 week I emailed and they responded.
They offered 2 weekday appointments when I asked for a Saturday. I replied I needed a Saturday appoint and they said they would contact with next available appointment. They never emailed me back and I followed up with service manager and go Andy Diestler.
No response since 5/11. I will not do business with them again.

Albany RV My 2016 thor hurricane motorhome

Just want to let every body know, if you buy an rv or travel trailer from them, expect no warranty work to be done, I have been waiting going on over a year to have them fix or replace my coleman mach 13000 btu air conditioner, the motor home has 3000 miles on it, very nice store, but the service sucks. Period, the day I drove it to hyde park, 75 miles south, I called them up the next day and told them it needed an alignment, the steering wheel was crooked, so I got it done, when I sent them the bill they denied it, they said they never said they would pay, they are liars, the service advisor I have been dealing with is also a very good liar, to bad I called thor the manufacturer, they told me there was noting in my file, she lied through her teeth telling me they were waiting on approval for everything. She kept telling me they had to check it first, they checked it 3 times.

Still waiting, camping season is around the corner.

Good Morning Tom...Thor has denied the alignment, reason given : ALIGNMENT IS A MAINTENANCE CONCERN AND THE CUSTOMER IS RESPONSIBLE NOT WARRANTY
I'm sorry Tom, but Thor holds the warranty not Albany RV and for that reason, I'm unable to process reimbursement to you for the invoice of Delhatt Automative.

They should have paid me back, anyway they told me to get it aligned.

PS I Have Every lousy Email that was sent back and fourth.

Albany RV Camper didn't have key and had some unknown items

I bought camper from Albany RV. They delivered the camper on time, but the guy, who delivered the camper, told me that they lost the keys. I paid money and changed the key lock. They didn’t return money for the change of the lock. As well as the camper was full of strange items, which have belonged to unknown persons. I didn’t need them, but I couldn’t contact the company and asked what I needed to do with these items. I didn’t like that they delivered bad-quality and dirty camper.
