Alameda County Tax / Refund due me
I purchased a condo in Emeryville, California. About a year later, I received a letter from Alameda County threatening to foreclose on me unless I paid about $4000 for the years before I purchased the condo for the previous owner, who passed away. The county tax collector, my realtor and title company refuse to repay me for their mistake of not checking the taxes due during the closing. I have several letters and documents where they have admitted their mistake. How can I recover my $4000 and maybe even the realtor and title company fees, since they did not do their jobs.
