Airtel customer care sucks! Airtel is useless. They don't respect their customers. Airtel is really bad. I was an airtel pre-paid user. Airtel guys called me a lot of times to get a post-paid connection. After a few days, I decided to go with their best scheme in post-paid with the highest rental plan.

It was called india-roam 399 plan. The airtel guys came to my office to collect the deposit and required documents. After a few days again there were a couple of guys from airtel there at my office for address verification. Everything went well. They promised to get my phone working in 4 working days and finally these guys managed to get it working in 8 working days.

After around 10 days, when I wanted to go to some other state, maharashtra to be precise, I called up airtel to check my roaming status and they said, it was on hold as the address verification was not done. I was shocked to here as the address had been verified a long time back. They registered a complaint for that which was stupidity.

I had told them my concern. I was going out of bangalore for 15 days after that. I wanted my phone working.

My roaming was not activated. I was without phone for 2 days. Then they activated my phone only for incoming calls. I registered a couple of complaints again after that. For all of them, they changed the status to "closed". Then again I get another shock of my life. They inactivate my sim. All incoming and outgoing calls are blocked. I had requested in my complaints for a call back from a manager. No calls! And my cell phone is not working. The customer care doesn't register my complaint. My phone is still not working for 10 days now. Number - [protected].

Airtel customer care sucks. They treat customers as dirt.

Suggestion for new guys: avoid airtel. Your phone wont work when you want it the most.

Worst service from airtel post paid customer service. Hey hav ppl who doest kno respecting theor customers. The agents are jus rubbish, who use abusive words on call. They plead us to take the service and then call us and insult us with bad words. From 3 months im facing torture from these ppl. One day it was extreem 3times a lady called me and spoke abusively. The number was +[protected]. I called to the numbers to complain on these ###. But they just diconnected call several times. Today some how i got thier one HR number (as per the executive). But no luck. These ppl hav no manners of spking to customers. Before completing my words he putt my cal on hold n later he dint pick the call and now the number is busy for hours. This is pure torture. I need highest escalation on this.these

I want that employee to be turminated and she should apologize about this sin.

Airtel Customer care is terrible and completely useless. My internet wi-fi had been password protected. since it wasn't done in my presence i wasn't given a password. I wanted to use the wi-fi on my phone and asked them to help retrieve or change passwd. Calling cutomer care was a pain. first i had to go through a recording which made me punch a whole lot of buttons just to listen to my balance. after nearly 5-6options i managed to get through a representative.

standard procedure is to check random configurations just to make you waste your time. I repeatedly told her that i just needed to reset my passwd and that nothign is wrong with the internet. She went on with her investigations and concluded that my alternate computer was not cofigured to use the wi-fi. I finallya sked her to just send a representative home. This was on 10th April. She concluded that the matter would be resolved latest by 12th april !

Conversion of post-paid to my name not going though even after the No-Objection and All the relevant proofs submitted. First time they sent me back saying there needs to be NOTARY on the address proof. After getting that they are now saying that the No-Objection From the company has expired.(The No-Objection was date Aug 24 and they are saying that there is an only one month validity for the No-Objection ) which is really ridiculous. I dont know where are such pathetic rules originating.Even more this delay has been caused only because of them(Requirement of NOTARY on Address proof). This they are saying once I have cleared all the arrears and also paid deposit for a specific plan. I wanted to change this post-paid only to avoid the pain of communication and related formalities at other places like bank's etc. Now it is really looking painful getting this connection when I have better options of changing to BSNL/DOCOMO..etc.
Also the signal quality of airtel is pathetic in many parts of Bangalore which has really pissed me off.I have no signal in my home.Over this the ridiculous meaningless formalities that needs to be done for the transfer...

The Airtel Customer care service is really really worst, they don’t have basic manners/courtesy to speak to customer. If they cannot solve your problem they will simply disconnect the call. More over this is encouraged and always practiced by their floor in charge (Supervisors).

I spoke to Airtel Customer care and as the executive on call was not able to solve my technical issues, I insisted to speak to his supervisor, what was really shocking was most of the times they call some other executive and then he will pretend and speak as if he/she is floor in charge. At last i could speak to a real supervisor (Named: Manohar from Bangalore customer care/Technical support) and he too disconnected my call in-between and did not even bother to call back (incase if the call got disconnected accidentally).

I took the pain and called them again to just know why they disconnect the call like this, and when i asked the previous person name they said his name is Manohar, just Manohar
without any last name or Surname. They all tried just to confuse me so that I cannot complain against that particular person.
WORST things started when they were giving all wrong information about my SMS recharge; they were creating their own offers randomly on the call and were trying to somehow convince me to forget my Recharge benefits.

I am really shocked with this kind of service as 80% of my offer validity went in their problem solving and complaining process. Now that I have completed the offer time they are saying that I cannot use the benefits as the offer validity is over.
I am speaking about this issue to my friends and they too have similar issues with Airtel service, we all will post this and other problems in all possible social networks and make sure others don’t get cheated.

I have been using a postpaid connection of Airtel (CUG connection) for the past 5 years.

My problems started when I shifted my house 3 months ago. I called up customer care and informed them about billing address change. they noted down my address and said everything is ok. The next month I received my bill to the new address and everything seemed to be fine.

However the following month I did not receive any paper bill. I then called up customer care and asked for a bill. They send me an e-bill and a paper bill. From the e-bill I found that the billing address had reverted back to the old address! So the reason I did not receive the bill in the first place was because it had been sent to the wrong address.

I called up customer care again to inform them of this problem on their part. They registered a complaint for change of address which was stupid on their part. After that I received around 6-7 sms from airtel about this address change and 4-5 different persons called regarding the same. Each time I contact customer care or they contact me, I talk to a new person so I had to explain the situation every time. This was really frustrating.

After a couple of weeks, an executive from airtel called me and said he will come to my house to collect an address verification proof. He did not turn up on time. He called and informed he will come later, but he never did. Exactly 1 week after this, I found out that my postpaid connection which I had been using has been disconnected. When i called up customer care, they said it has been disconnected because of address verification failure.

However, for the last 2 days my number has been disconnected. When I checked with customer care, they said my address verification has failed and my number has been temporarily disconnected. It is not fair on Airtel's part to suddenly disconnect the number without any intimation.

How can they screw up a simple address change request? Airtel customer care really sucks! I'm still waiting for a resolution to this

Airtel Relationship center, opp. Navarang theatre, Rajajinagar sucks!

People work at this center really sucks. They mess up everything you ask for. They lost my documents and made my connection de-active couple of times in a week. They did not update my payment of mobile bill, they wont issue receipts for any transactions you do with these ppl. Please stay away from this store, never ever go to this store. If I were Airtel, I would have closed this center immediately.

I had applied for duplicate sim and had provided necessary documents. But inspite of that my outgoing calls were not activated.

Went to dealer office - Airtel - Rajajinagar opp to Navrang. Upon investigasition came to know need to submit fresh application with address proof and identity proof ( this was provided on 07/11/08 ) and they informed that it will get activated within 48 hrs.. Inspite of repeated followups the Airtel customer care is saying that the document has not been reached to them..

Such a worst service and they think customers are not the prime importance to them.

The staff are very lethargic and spend most of the time chatting..

Need to delight customer and not to make customer unhappy.

Hope atleast from now onwards the service level may improve.

And also expecting my sim ( Outgoing call will get activated)

I am surprised that what the higher authority is doing . they are sleeping. If i found any one of the customer care exucutive of air tell to whome i talked from my friends numbers i will beat them so harsaly that they will never fool any citizen of india.

airtel's customer service quality is very poor. they misbehave with their customers by not paying appropiate cognigence to the problems faced by the customers. they disconnect the phones of the customers almost intentionally without solving their problem therefore i personally feel that in this competition market they will be out of the market soon for their bad setvice. for the whole day i have lodged a complain that my internet connection is not working but still they have not paid any hinderance to it. i personally feel that i have wasted my 498 rupees that airtel india have cheated.

I had a horrible experience with Airtel one of the worst services I ever received and customer delaying is pathetic. I have no better worse words to use for this company being Service Industry. I wanted to cancel the CUG connection no one responded when i escalated I get a reply saying to do what ever I wish then I get a bill of some 1000/- for the connection I cancelled. The collection manger who met me promised to take care of my bills but he was also a pain in_. I would request each of you who read this message to pass to your friends thru Orkut or any other way to not to enroll in Airtel.

What I went thru I wish no one should go thru that so be careful all the post paid people and pass this msg to get rid of Airtel.

I think AIRTEL & its customer services is bad unless you use VODAPHONE / HUTCH connect.

I can guarantee once u use VODAPHONE / HUTCH connection, there after U would 10000% say that AIRTEL is much much much better than VODAPHONE / HUTCH.

VODAPHONE / HUTCH is a real ### whole in terms of Network, customer service & commitment. Experience the difference using vodaphone for a day at least, then u will say AIRTEL is BEST.

Airtel customer care executives are national wastes. Please don't rely this company.

I have taken a corporate post paid 199 scheme and they charged the amount which is applicable to 299 scheme. There is no clip charge for this scheme, even then they levied this amount also.

After my complaints for several time through mails and phone call they deducted some amount and without giving the restructured bill they debited the amount from my bank a/c. They all are dumps, they are timepassing there in the office.

So please dont go for Airtel connection, they will definitely screw you!

I think like other disappointed persons. I think there is no co-ordination at all in any step in Airtel. I have charged with RS. 25/- on account of Giving me Services of Chat & mail which is a service provided under Airtel Live although the amount was deducted as soon as had pressed the button but i had never been able to avail that service ever. Furthere more having been inquired about the same different type of answers were given to me by the customer care executives. At the 10/12 time when i asked the customer care the then executive told me that the deduction of Rs. 25/- was done on account of some caller tune khajana. I never understand the fact that either all the executives to whom i call prior to this call were foolish or he was foolish. But one thing is clear, either u have taken a prepaid connection or postpaid connection u have to rely on the mercy of the Airtel because to take an airtel connection it means all the doors were closed for u. Further all the persons are bound to carry on with their connections because of the number only nothing else. I don't understand one thing these companies including Airtel spent crores of ruppess in advertisement and promotions but when there is a need to compensate with their customers there are not listing them this is really bad.

I am an Airtel customer. I am frustrated with their service. There is frequent disconnection and no action is taken to solve this problem. I dont understand why do they have a customer service when they doesn't know the actual sense of service. I feel irritated when I come across their ad with false promises.

I am a retired Fortune 500 CEO and I have just set up a business in Bangalore with the intention of bringing overseas investments to India. When I called the Airtel helpline [protected] and explained to the helpdesk that I needed a mobile. The first helpdesk asked me to give her my contact and gave her my overseas mobile number. She told me that their executive would not call me if it was an overseas number (Had I got a local number I would have needed to call her right).

I then set up my office with my fixed line and again I called Airtel. This time the helpdesk did accept my local fixed line and told me that some executive would call me back within an hour. I waited for three hours and nothing happened. So I called Airtel again and another helpdesk told me that to wait for another hour. That was when I explained to him that I had been waiting for three hours and it was after office hour and I could not just wait there forever not knowing if this time some executive would really call. He repeated the same in an absolute disinterested tone and when I told him that it was not acceptable, he decided to hang up on me.

Now, this is Airtel Customer Service.

To all Airtel executives (the real ones, in my country these are the corporate officers not the one who did not call me), you are not doing Airtel a service and worst of all, your country which I happen to respect a lot. Please do something about it.

My mobile number is [protected] and i have seen that an amount of Rs.25/= is being debited being the near and dear charges connecting to one land line which I have surrendered one and a half year back to MTNL. That particular number was allotted to some body els by the MTNL. I have not activated the option as claimed by the Call center Employee. When I called 121, today the concerned person has denied to reverse the amount and even he was not ready to pass on the message to his higher authorities.

I have faced a similar concern with Airtel Office. This was some time ago while I was in Bangalore and had a postpaid connection with Airtel. Firstly, the connection is not good by any standards and does not deliver what was promised. Secondly, Airtel disconnects the connection from time to time and I raised that their was a direct relation between the blackouts and the time spent online. As you try and stay online longer, the blackouts become more frequent.

Now, after a year of being in the US I just returned to my native in Kochi, Kerala. I am here for 3 months and decided to take a prepaid connection and activate the Airtel Office so as to have internet access on my laptop while I am on the move. Firstly, no one at their call centerseemed to know how it works. I was not able to get information as to how to activate it, whether I must buy the recharge coupon and charge it to my phone first or should I wait for them to send the settings to my phone. This went on for three days and a person made me wait untill 11:30 pm so that I receive and save the settings to my phone. I then called and asked to be transfered to someone with more knowldge of GPRS. The concerned person then asked me to charge my phone with the GPRS coupon and that the settings will be sent to me with in 48 Hrs. Now it's been four days and I am still waiting for the settings and so that I can be online.

My sister uses my previous connection with Airtel (6 yrs old) which is a corporate connection. This month while I was in Bangalore, I made the payment of Rs.1300 by cash for the bill amount of Rs.1234. When I received the printout of the payment received slip, it read, "Payment received with thanks from" and my name in print (all bold). I was in a hurry and was happy that I got most of my work done on that day. A week latter my sister calls me and tells me that representatives from Airtel are calling to ask her to make the payment. They say that I have not made the payment and that they will require the slip to confirm. Now, I do not have the slip ith me, this is a mistake on my part but the fact that this is happened to me thrice in the last two years is a matter of concern and I believe that all consumers with Airlet postpaid accounts must be warned of the concern.

I have lost my mobile 3 weeks back and i got a duplicate sim card from the airtel office (whitehouse, beside lifestyle building, begumpet, hyderabad). I was informed by the executive that the sim card will be activated in 2 or 3 hours. Though, the sim card status is currently active, I am not receiving any Incoming calls on my mobile (though i have tried the same sim card on other mobiles) whereas I am able to make any outgoing calls very comfortably.

I have raised this concern to at least 7 to 8 customer executives (i am still following it up and it's now more than 2 weeks they are still looking into this problem to get it resolved) @ 121 and everybody told me the same thing that there is some technical problem with the incoming calls server.

I was on the impression that airtel usually get the things resolved in not more than 72 working hours... but it is more than 2 weeks now that is really a POOR SERVICE.

None of the customer service executives even bother to call and tell me that they are looking into this issue though i have provided few alternate numbers to reach me(most of the customer service executives told me that they will call back immediately and none of them called up). It's only me always to call and follow up the issue.

This shows the poor service that airtel provides to the customers.

It would be a great help if someone can either respond to this email or get the issue resolved ASAP.

R Shashidhar

Hi,

I am working at chennai in an MNC where i had taken up Airtel Postpaid Connection. And iam using this from past two years. The problem what i faced is some thing very strange and typical which was not solved yet till now.

The problem is i received frequent messages from Airtel Live. The Sample mesg what i received is below:

" Thanks for using Airtel Live presenting Bollywood Movies , World Music Zone, Win Ronaldo T-shirts ,log on to internet and many more all on Airtel Live . " This Promotional seems to be nothing when it is sent once in a while , but then i received this mes at least 8 -10 messages per minute.

And due to this my Inbox got fully flooded by this mesg`s. And it accounted for 2800 mesg`s yet till now. Just imagine i received this mesg`s during the work hours and every time i have check in into my inbox and see whether it received mesg is important or not.

Why because i will receive mesg`s from my team members. And as it is known that silence should be maintained in the development work area. And they had sent these messages during night also which is very mind blocking , hoping so for an important mesg that i receive from my team member , after seeing that it will be from airtel live, DAM ###.

I had raised so many complaints / or requests to Airtel Customer care Might be around 15 times , but still their was no effect. I spoke to Mr.Robin, Mr.Ravi, Manju, Divya... etc and many more and i have also spoken to senior executives of Airtel Mr. mahendran , Mr.Saravan regarding this, but nothing of use. They told just give me 24 or 48 hrs , i will definitely solve ur problem and surely u will not receive any messages from Airtel Live.

And at last only when i felt that my problems are not still solved then i felt like filling an complaint against Airtel.

And My Contact Number is [protected].

Not only Airtel, we have too many problems with the Service Providers in India. Even I had a similar experience with Hutch. Its high time that TRAI enters the scenario and have some regulations set for customer service, these things are ridiculous and people should not waste their whole day in a stupid thing like mobile connection problem. Airtel is now the largest among the service providers, and they have to realize they can be the smallest if everyone feels bad about the service. Even now days the coverage in the main areas like banjara Hills is getting a lot of disturbance. Airtel has to solve these small but really decisive issues for them. The customer care of any of the Service Provider is not that great, but if we take the worst ones, Airtel would be the first one to mention about.

Airtel India-One plan sucks. They deactivate the service due to some technical problem on their side and they would let the customer suffer. This happened three times to me and I have been with them for less than a month.

Airtel bangalore cunningham road sucks, Airtel Hyderabad Ameerpet office sucks, and i guess the case with most Airtel direct customer care(less) offices. They dont give a rats a## for customers problems. I got Airtel prepaid card from Cunningham road on a friday and they promised it would be activated that evening. But it didnt get activated that night and when i went to meet them on saturday they gave lame excuse saying the cell phone for activation is locked and they dont have the key. I dont know why they are open on saturdays. The cell phone was activated on monday that also when i went and reminded in the evening.
Everytime you go toe customer support centre they say server is done, its common across all airtel outlets. Its useless to go there, so i went to a retail outlet and get my prepaid card charged. I was so frustrated by them that now i have shifted to Hutch connection. Airtel is USELESS when it comes to customer support.

I am an airtel customer for last 4 years. My number is [protected]. Somehow i am not satisfied with their service. First they promised variety of services for which i took one more connection. Now i am really repenting. I face problems whenever i go roaming to Chennai etc., I have problems in their billing also and discussed with customer care people. They people not respond properly.

THEY REALLY SUCK! AIRTEL IS USELESS.
