As a resident of australia, travelled through emirates first time ever on 19th feb of 2009 to visit my family back in india. the first thing I have a big complaint as when I purchased tickets they never mentioned that flight does take a hold of 2-3 hours at singapore airport, as it was never mentioned... on the way to dubai from melbourne. crew services were fantasic, as we have always heard about emiates and their customer assitance.
Regardless, it was a very big and long journey for me to travel from melbourne to dubai via singapore. we were not awared abt it until we boarded in the flight. for busienss reasons we can understand it v well. at that time I had 3.30 hours hold up in dubai. which was quite amazing to shop and travel around.
After that I had to take connecting flight from dubai to mubai... on 20th feb of 2009. the services were absouletly horrible and never expected such a bad and poor customer service by emirates airlines. the journey was not at all long but still it does make lot of difference when its the matter of customer assistance. after departure I have checked that my front video screeen was not working... no body ever assisted on that, I pressed assistance button 3-4 times... no body came over to even ask what was in need???
However, the crew staff on the side where I was seating (seat# 20k - flight# ek 506)... was very arrogant and rude, everntuly I forgot tht girl's name who was assiting...in the fact there were few other crew members around too. after having such a long previous journey... I was not feeling comfortable, I asked her that why air-condition is not working properly... there was no reply. asked her that can I get some cold water... never came back for that.
I did press assistance button many times but no reply. when they walked pass... I did remind them few times, she was like I m sorry I forgot it. but never came back. it was very very bad experience ever in the flight journey. crew members were not payning attention at all... as I said her many many times that I am not feeling comfortable because of suffocation around, can u please help me wid that?? no help till then.
Another worst thing, before flight lending announcement... when crew member, was passing next to my seat. I called her and said that I might have a vomits, as I mentioned to her specificaly that I am feeling v mch uncomfortable and sounds suffocated. can I get soem water and tissues please?? if I vomit... it would be very mch inconvenient for other people. so can you please help me wid that??
She never came back and never got any assitance from her. after lending announcement and at the time of final security check up... I told that girl again, nothng happend. now due to no signal at mumbai airport... pilot had to lock flight over the arabian sea and the plain was just staning in the sky without moving. nobody could walk through and it was more thn worst as I could not handle it and finaly I vomited. there was no water either.
Personally, I do not have any medical illness and it was not the first time for me to travel... as I do travel a lot but yes it was first time ever travelling by emirates with absouletly poor customer service.
It was very bad for my health and caused me so much troubles on my holidayz because of that.
At the time of leaving plane... I spoke to the head crew manager about it and did let her know everything whatever happend inside, at that time... she gave me some forms to fill out so she can submit emirates but I said I would not trust that. so she asked me to make a complaint about the whole issues.
I would like emirates to look after this whole matter and provide the best solution. as I was very much annoyed and not a happy customer.
