I am seeking an attorney who will take on a case against AIR NATIONAL AIR CONDITIONER AND HEATING for installing a heating unit where it is a fire hazard per a Progress Energy Home Energy Advisor and the City of St Petersburg Code Enforcement for passing the unit and the inspector who passed signed off on the permit. It will be cold here in St Petersburg on Monday night and we are not going to use the heater in fear that it will eventually start a fire. So what can I do as a consumer to get the company to pay for faulty and hazardous work?? I am need of a qualified but not greedy lawyer. This case will be very profitable for them.

I would advice you to first go trough the Administrative Process. File a written formal complaint to the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation (this is the State Agency that issued them a license to operate as an HVAC contractor), State Attorney General, Federal Trade Comission, and the Better Business Bureau. In Florida alone, Air National has 38 complaints filed with the BBB within the last 3 years. Document everything, take pictures, get written estimates from at least 2 reputable companies detailing how much it would cost to fix everything they did wrong and to bring it up to code. Include all that as attachments to your complaint. Hope this helps.
