Air India service

I made a flight reservation from Nagpur to Goa (flight no. AI630) on 03.07.2017 for the journey on 28.09.2017 by Goibibo app . The flight was cancelled and no information about the cancellation was conveyed to me by AIRINDIA either through message or call. When I arrived at the airport, I was not properly attended by their members and they gave a vague reason that due to non-availability of contact details, they didn't inform me whereas for all other passengers, alternative arrangements were made. Since that was the last flight, no AIRINDIA member was available to help me out with alternative arrangements.

Also, when I and my family members tried calling the customer care, they did not listen to us and were consistently putting us on hold and left. Complete night, I was worried and repeatedly kept calling AIRINDIA customer care. I am also not rich enough to book an alternative expensive flight. Ultimately, Goibibo people helped me in getting an alternative ticket from Nagpur to Goa via Delhi on 29.09.2017. I had to suffer whole night due to AIRINDIA's irresponsible behavior.

On 29.09.2017, AIRINDIA flight AI470 delayed from Nagpur by around 45 min due to which I was unable to board flight AI156 from Delhi to Goa. I was mentally harassed there at Delhi airport. No AIRINDIA representative attended my grievance and just responded that they can't do anything. I was tired due to sleepless night and hectic long journey and mentally tired due to no idea about what has to be done next.

After lots of cry and scream for about 1 and a half hour, they gave me flight ticket from Delhi to Goa via Mumbai. I was physically and mentally tortured full day. AIRINDIA representatives did not cooperate at all. Finally, I reached Goa at around 9 pm which according to me being the only girl, was not the safe time to reach. I reached my destination at around 11 pm of the next day I was supposed to reach due to negligence of AIRINDIA service.

I can provide all tickets and details as required. I had to incur heavy loss due to this delay both in monetary terms as well as psychologically. From past 1 month, I am struggling to resolve the issues created due to this delay. I demand compensation from AIRINDIA for the problems I had to face due to them.

Air India flight cancelled

My name is Manish Reddy with EBP No : 500698, Airline Reference : H6ZJD,
PNR Reference : UXUIU8 and i was about to travel on AI 130 on 20th Sep 2017 from London heathrow to Hyderabad via Mumbai but the flight got cancelled after 4 delay's and there was no proper response from Air India customer care centre and due to which i went to airport at 1 pm to know the correct information and waited until 11 pm before we got to know that the flight got cancelled.

But the flights British Airways and Jet Airways operated on the same date and flied to same destination Mumbai but the only Air India flight got cancelled.

You would have arranged an alternate Flight for the passengers on the same day but you didn't and send me on the next day i.e 21th Sep 2017 3 pm flight and i missed an important function which i should attend on that day but still i didn't spoke anything about it.

But i asked Air India for a date change on my return journey for an reasonable price for my long wait but they denied and refused to refund the money as well.

For which i lost my money with you and made another booking through different airline and paid you money without doing any journey and who is going to pay for the new booking ? we understood you and waited for that long and you should also co-operate with passengers.

Please don't test the patience of the passengers.

I demand a reply for the inconvenience and loss caused to me.

Air India air india - theft and intimidation from chicago air india staff

On October 11th 2017, Varsha Vora departed from Roanoke regional airport on flight # UA4683 to Chicago.

Varsha is only travelling to see her mother who has been diagnosed with breast cancer and does not have much longer to live.

In Chicago with wheelchair assistance she collected her baggage from arrivals and checked into departure for Air India flight # AI0126, scheduled for departure @ 13:30 on October 11th, 2017.

She is a disabled passenger who needed wheelchair assistance for her trip. The staff left her at the gate to board. Prior to boarding she was asked to place ALL her items that were in her hand (purse, jacket, and cooler with gel packets containing her insulin) into her carry-on bag. This caused her carry-on bag to weight 4lbs over the 12lbs limit.

She felt very pressured and intimidated, she was advised her only option was to walk outside (reminder that she cannot walk more than 10 steps at a time) and discard items or pay $200. A manger was called because she was very upset and crying due to the intimidation as she could not make it to discard items outsides and could not pay $200. The manager then collected her bag and placed it on the back room for transport to into the airplane, in their haste she was not given an enough opportunity to review and make sure she had everything in order.

Her bags were transferred in New Delhi to flight #AI 0010, scheduled for departure @ 16:30 on October 12th, 2017.

Varsha kept the carry on bag with her up until it was taken from her at the Chicago airport. Either at Chicago or New Delhi, all of the gold she had enclosed on her green jacket was taken. This was gold that was hers and some that her daughter had given to her to give to family members to help with her mother’s care and medical treatment.

We request an investigation be made to the theft of the jewelry and the treatment of Varsha Vora in Chicago.

Air India unethical behaviour

I was traveling with 2 small kids from Delhi to Copenhagen in air india flight number 157 on 14th oct 2017. I got all my clearances done(check in, immigration & security) in delhi airport. Then I arrived on the departure gate. There was one non sense lady(of air india staff) who objected to me saying that my travel documents are not complete. She talked to me so rudely that my kids got frightened and started crying.

I was travelling on dependant work permit valid till Dec 2018. The non sense air india staff(woman), objected to my travel documents saying that u need to travel with in first 6 months of issuance of work permit which is total wrong. She harrased me un-necessarily. Didn't talk to me nicely. She routed me to some other counter asking me to talk to her manager. I got scared. My kids started crying. Somehow i managed to talk to air india manager. He cleared all my documents without even asking a single question(why...because my documents were 100% correct).

Now I would like to ask you, who will pay the price of the harassment I beared because of lack of knowledge of non sense air india staff.

Air India shabby treatment at ticketing counter at chennai airport ticketing counter

Kind reference is made to complaint number ID 1643118 dated 27th Jul & ID1692895 dated 8th Sep 2017. These complaints were submitted to the Chennai customer care but to date my complaint has not been addressed.

I am a senior citizen suffering from ailments that is normally associated with people my age (68 years). On 27th Jun I went to the Chennai airport ticketing counter to purchase my ticket. I waited my turn in the queue in the swiltering heat of Chennai but when I reached the counter the staff at the counter looked at my ticket authority and told me to wait while he continued to attend to the passengers standing behind me in the queue. When I objected and told the staff that I waited my turn in the queue, he just told me you are a staff I will attend to you later these are revenue passengers. In Chennai airport there is just one ticketing, how can the ticketing staff refuse to attend to some one who has stood in the queue and waited his turn? More over refusing to attend to a retired staff making it known that the staff has a staff ticket and so can be treated in a shabby manner in very objectionable & very wrong. The ticketing staff is there to attend to all passengers and he is not supposed to discriminate, if I am a staff traveling on a staff ticket I have earned the right to do so by the service I have rendered to the airline. The gentleman at that ticketing counter should know that it is Air India that has authorized my entitlement to travel, he has no business to discriminate and insult me at the ticketing counter. I sincerely hope that this matter is taken up & none of my colleagues is put through the same humiliation that I was put through. The counter staff should just do what they are detailed to do, instead of going out of their way to insult senior retired staff like me.

Air India upgrade for sure /upgrade upfront

I am in the UK and was looking for business class offers and I came across the Upgrade for sure or upgrade upfront offer ..it is such a shame that infants also have to pay the same amount as adults (350 pounds) from London to Delhi ..it does not make any sense ..it is 10 percent of the adults fare on all other flights .
I think it should follow the same standards as other international flights .most of the time the business class in air India is either Empty or it has the air india staff travelling in it ..really that infants /babies paying 350 pounds should be changed ..

Air India security on flight

Good evening,
I recently flew with air india from singapore to madrid

Air india
Thu 21/09
15:00 indira gandhi international (Del)
Terminal terminal 3
Delhi, india thu 21/09
21:20 barajas (Mad)
Terminal terminal 1
Madrid, spain

Flight ai-135 | boeing 787-8 (Jet) | economy
Free baggage

The first part of my flight was excellent and the staff were very professional however I would like to make a formal complaint about the second half of my journey.
Once all passengers were seated I and other passengers noticed that there seemed to be a lot of officials entering the plane. This continued for some time and at no point was the delay communicated or explained. Following this police officials entered the plane and one started to go through the hand luggage compartments asking casually about the bags "is this yours? Etc". This was carried out in a casual manner without structure or explanation. Later we find out through a passenger that had enquired as to the delay, that a passenger had been allowed off the plane due to an emergency at his home and that therefore the officials needed to check that all bags were claimed and that he had not left anything behind. As all of this was happening another passenger made a very good point, that if their was any security risk why didn't the officials check all areas including under the seats. Also my concern was that of there was a breach of security then why wasn't the check done with any type of protocol or organisation? As myself and the other passenger (Supported by others) raised this with the cabin crew and police we were not spoken to very professionally. Firstly, the cabin crew didn't really explain. Then we were ushered out to speak to the police after the initial conversation wasn't answered well! As myself and the other passengers raised our concerns the police argued! Many of the male officers spoke over me and ignored my concerns. They were disresponsive to the other male passenger too and seemed to think that it was ok how causally they had checked the luggage areas! Not at all what you would expect in the case of a suspicious circumstances on a plane full of people!
Following this we demanded that we speak to the captain. He too wasn't even concerned? However he did order them to search the plane properly which should have happened in the first place.
I feel the way we were spoken to was outrageous!
How the plane was searched wasn't thorough and it definitely wouldn't fit with any security protocol.
I have witnesses who are happy for me to include them too as they were appalled as well.
I even had an officer in a patronizing tone ask me if I was satisfied after the second search had happened. They refused to give me their badge details although they noted my name for a report!
I refuse to just sit and watch a lot of police enter a plane and not ask any questions. Likewise I would expect that a plane would be evacuated if their is any reason to believe that a bag has been left behind or something suspicious is going on!
I was left feeling very upset, distressed and uncomfortable on the flight.
I feel I should take this further as this should not happen and I would worry about what the actual security protocol is for air india.
I await your response,
Kelly danvers

Air India cancelled flight - ai 171 london lhr - new york ewr - date: wednesday 20th september 2017 - departure time 12.30 - arrival time 15.00

My Name is Sarah Dolsingh
My PNR No is: HZ2S7
My Reference No is: NSIBE34673674
Issue Date: Tuesday 5th September, 2015

I was booked on AI 171 on Wednesday 20th September, 2017 from London LHR to New York EWR departing at 12.30 pm.

I was told the flight was delayed to 9.50 pm .

Numerous telephone calls to Air India proved futile. In fact the staff had no clue on how to deal with the situation.

At the airport the line was long and inadequate number of staff available to deal with the situation.

Eventually, AI staff at Heathrow issued me with a ticket to travel on United Airlines flight no UA 883 the next morning at 8.40 am.

We were taken to a nearby hotel closer to mid-night and we had to be back at the airport by 6 am.

I am almost 72 years old. It was a very difficult day Wednesday 20th, 2017. I had very little rest and had to travel in spite of my tiredness. It has taken me this long to recover, hence the delay in communicating with you earlier.

The next morning, having had no dinner the previous night and no breakfast that morning, United Airways charged me US$100 for the second piece of luggage which I was forced to pay for using my credit card.

The main reason I chose Air India is because I was allowed 2 pieces of luggage.

As I travel to India often for medicals and I am due to go there again via London during the last week in November, returning to NY on 18th December 2017 may I suggest you issue me with a return ticket - London-New York and I purchase London-Bangalore return from you?

I would consider this fair compensation for all my suffering due to the cancelled flight AI 171 on Wednesday 20th September, London-New York.

My late arrival caused me to miss a very important dinner meeting on Wednesday 20th September in Manhattan. This meeting could not be rescheduled. So I've lost it completely!

Under all the circumstances, a London-NY ticket departing NY on the 28th November and returning to NY from London on 18th December would be much appreciated.

The cost of my London-New York ticket plus the $100 lost to luggage costs on UA would surely add up to a return ticket to London.

I would then purchase from you London-Bangalore 1st to 16th December, 2017.

I would consider this fair compensation for all my troubles of 20th September and also for missing a very important dinner meeting that night because I travelled only the next day, bearing in mind the meeting could not be rescheduled!

I look forward to your favourable response.

Best,
Sarah Dolsingh

Air India handling of customer

I was on my journey of Hajj 2017.
My flight was from Madina on 22 sep 2017.
While coming on check in I had one food bag with me that was snatched by executive of Air India and executive of Madina Airport. Saying that only one kit bag is allowed. The carry bag I had with me was my food bag. Me and my mother were very much hungry. And we didn't have anything till flight departs from Madina. It was horrible nightmare for us.

Hello All,

I would like to raise a complaint against Air India for stolen items from checked baggage.
my lost/stolen items from the bag are as below
1) Puma BMW edition shoe- $90
2)JBL flip 4 Bluetooth waterproof speaker- $69.95
3)Fossil watch IP Gun color- $77.50
4)Fossil watch GT silver color-$67.50

Date of Incident-9/25/2017

Baggage Tag number- AI641166 and AI641165
E-ticket number: 0984997589024C3

Description: AI144 from Newark to Mumbai flight was delayed. My baggage also came very late and after receiving the bag went into check in these bag to connect to my next flight . The official who checked in my bag, did not inform me that flight left, she sent one of my bag and the other bag was not sent. she realized later that flight left and was waiting for me to come back since many passengers were facing same issue since flight left.

AI607 flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru already left, due to this issue, the officials gave me a new boarding pass for the next connecting flight.
when i asked about my bag, they said one bag is in downstairs(AI641166) and the other one next to her(AI641166)
so they re-issued new bagging tag and informed me that i can collect my bag in bengaluru.

however after reaching bengaluru, collected my bag and when i came back to home, i saw the above said items were missing from the bag, this was the bag which the official sent downstairs(AI641166).
It appears that someone rummaged through the baggage and removed several items.

Request to address this issue and provide me details regarding this stolen items with a complaint number. invoices of my products and the image is attached for reference.
feels so bad to see these items being lost.

Air India refunds for cancellations against incorrect booking/failed transactions

Hi,
NEED HELP. I booked a ticket for Jan 3rd 2018 on airindia.com and got 2 PNR's, one for Jan 3rd 2018 and one for Dec 3rd 2017. Later one PNR was mentioned as failed transaction by Ecommerce team of AI.

I called AI Customer Service within 5 mins of Booking to report the Incorrect booking. They asked to send me email to Ecommerce which I did immediately. After that I sent 4 emails to Ecommerce and called 4 times but they are not honoring the 24 hrs refund Policy. This booking was made from California, US.

Need advice on how to proceed. I have filed complaints with SFO office and also AI feedback form. Trying not to go legal route, if that can be helped.

It has been an REALLY BAD experience dealing with AI Ecommerce and to explain each and everything over and over to new agents.

I am facing the same issue. Air India should be banned ideally. I think people need to escalate this issue to government, and other senior authorities including the PM. This crappy Airlines is stabbing people's confidence ove rover and again and the agents at customer support are useless. The ecommerce team is unreachable. Emails are not responded and phones are not answered. I swear never ever to use this airlines again. But need to get my current issue resolved! I might lodge a complaint to sue them for the harrasmant I went through in the entire process.

Air India rebooking fees

I am in the Army and had booked return air tickets from delhi to mangalore with family, PNR No HS47S...
I now due to certain urgent exigencies of service I cannot travel on the dates as booked and am forced to change my booking due to service requirements...
I request to waive the re rebooking fees for my tickets...
Alternatively I be charged rebooking fees only for a trip I.e. 2500 and not separately for onward and return journey, as it must be construed as change of trip and not individual journeys...Moreover penalties for cancellation and date change being same does not conform to logic...
Request waive off rebooking fees for all three passengers individually for onward and return journeys separately...

Air India missing baggage at igi terminal 1 lp 25654

Hi
I am mrs ramalakshmi bommireddipalli from sydney.
The story is, while I boarded ai 302 from igi airport new delhi on the 7/08/2017, I had inadvertently left behind my cabin luggage at the immigration point. While on the airplane I reliased that the bag was missing and informed the staff. The staff rang the immigration point and confirmed that my hand luggage was found and has been identified. However as I was already in the aircraft they could not let me out to fetch the baggage. That way unfortunately the cabin luggage that was found, could not be collected on the 7th aug. 2017, at new delhi airport. I returned to sydney on the following day the 8th.

I have received confirmation from the lost and found department igi terminal 1, new delhi, india, that they have found the cabin luggage. They have also advised me the lp as 25654. Please read the letter below from the lost and found department.
