Advantage Builders took my money after signing a contract to build my home in cape coral. After 18 months my home is still not built and now they want me to send them more money. The have not even started the foundation and is unwilling to refund my money. I would urge anyone out there to not use Advantage Builders to build your home

They built the house I just sold. Found out that even though he big thing with Chinese drywall thing came out they continued building with the Chinese drywall. My house was built in 2009 they even told us that all new drywall was put in so that it didn't have it
I used them many years ago... back in 2005! They are a scam! Was a nightmare from day one! They even planted dead sod on my new home and told me it will turn green one day.. which of course never did! I sold the home and moved after one year when the market was good. Their real name should be DIS-ADVANTAGE BUILDERS! I had to fight with them daily for nearly one year.
Coral isle builders in cape coral Florida are scammers builders they take you for a tour of their model homes sweet talk you tell you story that are not true and once you sign you got real problems. I had a home built by them they are so disrespectful lairs, that all they do is take your money and tell you at the end where to go when you complain about problems, my house has tiles that are uneven all over the house, the doors have two inch gaps, the plumbing in the third bathroom leaks in the walls, my walls are all uneven looks light a ocean thats why they talk us into light colors in our house, the tiles on my roof are falling off one by one. I tried taking them to court and all i got was when it came time to settled their lawyer would tell my lawyer they would file bankruptcy the next day if the judge ruled a judgement against them. My lawyer found out that they have nothing in their names and their is no money in their accounts they borrow from peter to pay paul their credit is awful what they are doing is taking peoples money up front to finish houses that they started.My house took a extra 8 months to build and cost me extra $44, 880.00 i paid for upgrades and the upgrades were all ready part of the model that i paid for so i paid twice.GOT RIPOFF .
Do yourself a favor call owners that had their homes built by them and you will find out the truth on how they lied and how bad of a builder they are. Go to the town building department in cape coral fl and ask for the last 15 house that they built and you will get the answer. I made that mistake and I'm paying for it better yet go around town and ask other builders and real estate company 's and you will here everybody says "STAY AWAY" and they are right they went bankrupt 5 years ago under Advantage Amstate, and Advantage Builders of SWFL, INC, AND Advantage Builders of America, inc They change names but same people are running it. GOOGLE THE NAMES AND YOU CAN READ ALL ABOUT THEM, very sad for the state of Florida when scammers get away with ripping the working people off because they know the system.Remember you pay for what you get do your homework and you won't pay what i did. Found out more bad news coral isle builders of cape coral fl owners Don Vidussi, Steven J Magner, Jerald R Maxson, filed Bankruptcy under the company name Advantage Builders Of America inc in 2012 and left a sizable amount of home owners with unfinished homes that were already fully paid for.Many of the home owners had to get second mortgages and find another builder to finish their homes and some lost everything that they had put down in money and property's.
The information is available online you can google buildzone.com and secretary of state of Florida and put the company name Advantage Builders Of America Inc in and you can cross link the owners names and you will see for yourself that they committed fraud in many ways and still are operating under a NEW name "Coral isle Builders" today with the same owners that defrauded people 5 years ago under Advantage Builders Of America inc.You can also search Better Business Bureau and you will find that their is a "ALERT" symbol cautioning people that may be interested in using their services in building a new home in the cape coral Florida area.
If you look on-line for cape coral breeze newspaper dated Wednesday, July, 13, 2016 you will read about another builder that left 6 unfinished homes that were already paid in full and filed bankruptcy after 20 years in business. These are real examples when people do not do their home work or hire a lawyer on picking a new construction builder to build their dream home.Rule of thumb don't be persuade by the lower prices for a larger home it sometimes won't come true.GOD BLESS
I had the same issue with them and I challenged them on some of the overages, which turned out to be a scam. They tried charging me 5K for extra fill and when I asked for the invoices they said "sorry, we confused you with someone else'. There is also a lien on my property because they did not pay for any of the appliances (that I had to pay for). Also, I found out yesterday that they used defective drywall so now my house is worth nothing. Over the last two years, they have not responded to one call or email. Absolutely, the worst experience of my life!
Now they go by the name Coral Isle Builders. I can confirm that once you sign a contract you are nothing more than a nuisance to them if you call. They do not answer their phones and do not return calls once your under contract. We are currently building a house with them and could not be more frustrated.
