I am writing this complaint as a warning to all those who would consider buying a puppy from Adorable Mini Dachshunds.
Just over three years ago, we purchased (from online photos only) a chocolate dapple female puppy from the Batorski's. We drove down to Claresholm AB to pick her up a few days before Christmas 2012. She was "adorable" but very tiny for her declared 7-8 weeks of age and had poor haircoat. We decided to pick her up as there was an embargo on flying puppies in December and Cindy would not keep her for us a couple weeks longer? Red flag anyone?
All seemed well and we raised our happy, but somewhat hyper/overexcitable puppy and loved her as one of our kids. When we decided to move overseas, we decided to bring her with us as she was part of the family, and then eventually brought her back to Canada with us a year later. $10k spent o a much loved family member.
Shortly after her 3rd birthday tragedy struck and our beloved girl became paralyzed from several bulging discs in her spine. We had always kept her trim and active to protect her back and were very surprised she had issues at such a young age. Our veterinarian informed us that 25% of Dachshunds actually have abnormally shaped discs in their spine which causes this condition (ivdd) and it is in most part due to their conformation form POOR BREEDING!
Tragically within 36 hrs she had lost all feeling to her hind limbs, bowels and bladder. Because it happened in the night and we were 6 hrs from the nearest specialist surgeon, Surgery would give us only a 20-30% chance of her regaining mobility. We had to make the heart breaking decision to end her suffering and put her to sleep. I miss her every day! so does her companion our other mini dachshund.
I am warning everyone out there of all the red flags I missed about Adorable Mini Dachshunds
1.) There are litters of puppies anytime of year. This is NOT natural for dogs as they are diestrous and only come into heat twice in the year naturally (fall and spring)? so how is this possible?
2.) There are no pics of the puppies parents on the website or pictures of the facilities where the dogs are housed. smells fishy
3.) They are not registered with the CKC... enough said!
4.) It is clear from the website and Facebook page, it is all about dog colors and money. Not conformation and health.
5.) Dogs do not come with ANY kind go health guarantee!
We adopted another dachshund from south BC and are concerned about Alopecia she is developing. I am trying to find out which breeder she came from as this is a hereditary condition. I would not be surprised if she also came form AMD. I will update this post if I am able to find out.

Hello, I am not in any way affiliated with Lowrider mini dachshunds. I am simply a dachshund owner who lives in Fort St. John BC, and a veterinary Technician, who has had a negative experience with ADM in Barnwell. You obviously have a personal vendetta against Lowrider dachshunds for some reason.
Sounds like retaliation here. Red Alert is a game. Roger Radcliff a writer on 101 Dalmatian's. Whom ever this person is they should vary the way they write. Sounds vary similar to another complaint I have read on here. Who is this Crazy Lady?.
I'm not really sure if i want to chime in but i am also feeling nervous about my companion now.
My boy is a year now and i was also highly encouraged to get him at 5 weeks also and have noticed the extreme anxiety (I was told after this is a tactic to save money as its when they switch to solid food). He is my first dog ever and while i was prepared (ready for a neuter contract, a list of answers about my current housing/finances, when i could visit) it really didn't come up with the breeder... and i should have backed away but i was really blindsided by him, and the idea of leaving Alberta for other options seemed daunting. dumb me.
there has been no check ups on him from them which is also weird, because i was always told that a breeder would do this, even take back a dog which isn't at all where its at, i love him, just another strange thing. I am keeping very on top of his health now. Not a lot i have noticed besides physical things like folded ears, a kinked tail, few face moles- but much more concerned with the inside.
i guess in the end i find it a good first dog lesson. I really love the breed, but i wont let that trick me next time- i will follow the good breeder guidelines next time.

You are trying to get your own complaint removed because of all the negative comments in regards to your false and fabricated complaint directed at Adorable mini dachshunds, because it is not looking good for you! Glad to see you still in training you're not much of a breeder when you have to copy and paste someone else's explanation on how to paper train a puppy to your website. Thank you for exposing yourself, Laughing so hard at your stupidity! You are putting yourself throughout the public eye not Cindy or anyone else, just you. You can show them this comment as well, you are the one that created this post and now you don't like what people are saying. Anyone can comment on here, and express their opinion or knowledge into the claims that you are alleging :) Your allegations are false and malicious. Everyone who knows Cindy, and who has purchased a puppy over the last twenty five plus years including repeat customers know you are a liar, because most of the customers Cindy has had over that period of time have been to her farm and they have seen the kennels and the puppies and dogs in every aspect. Everyone is laughing at you! Lowrider mini dachshunds have reduced their reputation to the size of a microbe over their jealousy and hatred, in regards to their competition, This will probably tarnish your reputation as a breeder for years to come. Buyers and other breeders know that your allegations are a complete fabrication for your own benefit. You have also taken pictures of puppies in poor condition off the internet and you claimed they were Cindy's puppies. What a terrible person you are and what a horrible thing to do! Again there are so many people that have been out to Cindy's farm and have seen the kennel and puppies, know that you are Lying. You are but a silent whisper in the minds of other breeders and buyers alike, now the only thing they are whispering about is you! Next time think twice before trying to maliciously destroy someone over hatred and jealously. I am pleased to inform you that comments made by commenters from this link are now appearing on the world wide web for all to read. Readers are just beginning to understand what type of character you are, and it is my secure belief that they are not impressed with you. Lowrider mini dachshunds are terrible breeders in my opinion, and should not be trusted in personal dealings or otherwise. You are a disgrace to other breeders all across North America. Lowrider mini dachshunds fail to understand that when you make any type of allegation against someone especially one as ludicrous as these accusations that you are making, the person or business that is in question their character is also looked at, and adorable mini dachshunds reputation along with their character as breeders are Excellent! Lowrider mini dachshunds your allegations that Adorable mini dachshunds breeders are selling sick puppies in mass production is hilarious and a complete lie! Please feel free to continue making a complete & total imbecile out of yourselves :) Adorable mini dachshunds have many, many testimonials from customers and repeat customers over the years.
