I also received (4) charges for $19.95 over a 2-month period...strange since I never agreed to a contract with them.
I called to complain and was then passed off to a manager. The manager simply repeated several times, "Under the agreement..."
I told her I never agreed to anything with them, and said that this sounded like a scam.
She refused to refund my money until I casually mentioned that I'd be talking to our consumer reporter when I got to work at the TV station I work for.
Without missing a beat, she promptly returned all four charges and apologized for the inconvenience.
    BEWARE this company!!!

This is a scam, and the most mystifying part is how they get your credit card information. I always try my best to only do business with reputable firms; however, someone had to have turned this information over to these guys.

Being nice with Adaptive Marketing doesn't work. My advice is be as angry and difficult to deal with as possible since that is what it takes to get your complaint resolved.

They have agreed to cancel my subscription and refund 2 months of $20 charges (although I question whether this will happen). American Express was great and they have agreed to block any future charges and immediately void off the existing charges.

This company Adaptive Marketing works with TONS of companies. They work with Victorias Secret. I have been charged $14.95 a month for 7 months for something called VS Home. They claim I signed up for it. I NEVER DID! I spoke with Victorias Secret and the lady told me that Victorias Secret used to partener with this company to offer discounts to their customers but that they no longer did (gee wonder why)

I called the number on my account and basically some lady named Brigette rattled of her employee number and said I was removed from the program. I got charged again today.

To get your money back you have to file fraud charges with your bank.

I will NEVER again shop at Victorias Secret (which kills me) because I do not feel comfortable spending my money at a store that that would partner with this sort of scamming company.
