I traded my MDX for a used '08, "factory certified", MDX with a clean car fax report from Noah Woods at Acura of Peoria. He arranged the shipping for my car and his. The transport company came for my car right away and Noah promised that my new car would be delivered within the week. It took three weeks for the car to be delivered during which time I called Noah repeatedly to find out what was going on. He dodged my calls for a few weeks and when he finally responded he said that the transport truck had broken down and was waiting to be fixed.

About a week after my new car finally arrived a disgruntled former employee of the shipper called to tell me that the real reason for the delay was that the car had been wrecked in transit and it was in the body shop waiting for repairs. So, Noah had been lying to us during the three weeks we were waiting.

When I contacted him about this he denied knowing anything about the wreck and passed the buck to the middle man he hired to broker the shipping who in turn passed the buck to the shipper. I had the name of the body shop that repaired my car as well as a repair order so the shipper couldn't deny that they lied.

The shipping company insisted that they lied because the broker and the dealer told them to. I have no way of knowing who's story is true but I suspect that they were all in this together. Noah ships cars all of the time and must have known that something about the broken down truck story didn't make sense.

So far none of these people has been willing to help. They all say I'm just out of luck, sorry they lied but it's not their problem. I've hired an attorney and am trying to get compensated for the diminished value of the wrecked car.
