Ackerman Security Systems Ackerman securities equipment

We had Ackerman install security system financed through aqua finance who they connected us with. My husband was jumped outside our condo at 18 Dover ct. clementon nj 08021. The lawyer and judge requested the footage of that attack. It was crucial evidence. After. Numerous numerous calls to Ackerman, who told us numerous times a supervisor would get back to us. After about 30 days with no call from a supervisor, we were told the footage was no longer accessible. In liue of this, we would like Ackerman to pay for the equipment which is no longer if any use to us. They told us NO. I've contacted bbb and written a letter to ceo at Ackerman and I have gotten a response yet. It's been 8 days. Gabby at Aqua Finance told me whe has never heard of such a thing. In her dealings, all security companies pay for the equipment in a case such as this. My credit is now being affected. Ackerman dropped the ball! They should pay for the equipment Judith Pistilli Aversa. [protected]

Ackerman Security Systems home security system - cancelling service

I have had Ackerman Security for 10-11 years. I made the decision to switch to something that better suited my needs and I called to cancel my service on 10/10/18. The girl offered to have someone to come out to consult with me to see if I'd stay and I told her absolutely not - I wanted to cancel. As far as I knew - it was done...

...until I saw charges still coming out on my statement. I immediately called them to bring this to their attention, fully expecting them to refund my money and stop future charges. NOT.

I had the misfortune of speaking with VALERIE, who was rude from the start. Valerie told me that I couldn't cancel by phone, I'd have to be mailed a form to fill out and mail it back. (in this day and age - really?) I told her I DID cancel by phone on 10/10/18 but for her to mail the form and I'd get it back to her. I told her to refund my money since 10/10/18 and stop future charges. She said even when I send back this form I'm tied to a "recurring" contract until May 2019!

I was never notified of any contract coming up for renewal - I was never sent notification one HAD recurred, AND I never signed this contract! I told her I was not going to be tied to some imaginary contract - CANCEL this now and I will call my bank to deal with the charges.

I called my bank and this is where it gets concerning to me and shows just how unethical these people are in their billing practices. The fellow at my bank told me Ackerman doesn't charge you as a recurring charge each month, they do it as individual charges. That way, if you do a stop payment, these individual charges can still go through. SO you have to get a new card. BUT even if you get a new card and they try to charge the old card and get a decline - they can then send the charge back through as recurring and it will charge the NEW card!

SO he did a stop payment to circumvent this. He said they could also change their billing name slightly and send it back through as recurring and it would go through.

He advised me to keep a close eye on my account.

Ackerman Security Systems 12 year customer needs simple keypad $200+ and sign 3 yr renewal

Ackerman we've been with you for 12+ years. We gave the business to you after switching from prior company, Everything was up and running we just switched over to you. I'm not complaining about response time when we trip alarm accidentally but your trying to get rich off your loyal customers.

Our keypad has one worn button so we called your customer service. They schedule an appointment, the repair guy calls the night before asks for photos so he brings the correct keypad. Then says he will work up the price and email it to me. Originally I'm thinking it should be free since we've been with you so long and the part is needed to do business, I was shocked and pissed when I seen this 4 page contract come over my email. It was $210 for part and labor but he could knock off $30 for part making it $180 plus $99 activation fee PLUS 3 YEAR RENEWAL CONTRACT.

I found the exact keypad on EBay for $14.98, I searched YouTube to see what was involved in hooking up keypad, maybe 20 min job. So I'm either fixing myself or start calling to switch Security Company.

Ackerman Security Systems home security installation & customer service, fraudulent warranty

✖Warning✖ Do Not sign a contract or do business with Ackerman Security. They do business out of an Atlanta Georgia PO Box 933374. The #1 FLAG they're Crooks.They are a dishonest, incompetent shoestring scammer business that will try any dishonest trick there is to STOP you from CANCELLING their worthless service. Do not trust your belongings or your house or your well-being with them. They are a waste of time and $$$. There cameras and security equipment that they butcher your house installing are warrantied for 1 year. Then they tell you "you own it, it's your problem" They will not honor there warranty claims. Their warranty promises in literature are worthless. Get a SECURITY system ANYWHERE else but don't get it from Ackerman Security. Try "SimpliSafe" That's what I did. www.simplisafe.com ACKERMAN is one of the worst B/S security companies in America and should be run out of business as I suspect they will be soon at the rate there are losing customers.

Ackerman Security Systems not working properly

Our Security System is not working properly from day 1 We installed security system from ackerman security one year back. From day 1 our system is having issues and we complaints about it time to time. Every time they sent technician and lie us that everything is fixed. When we got the system our agent Leo M. Prosser Security Consultant Ackerman Security 6824 Industrial Dr, Beltsville, MD [protected] lied to us that we can cancel our service any time. Now they are giving hard time to cancel our service. They are asking us penalty to cancel it.

Ackerman Security Systems monitoring

Consumer's Original Complaint : I agreed to a price of 134.75 for 6 mo. At the end of the 6 mo. The price went up to 161.70 and I did not know I had signed a 3 year contract. On 4/29/2015 Keith Arnet of Ackerman came to my home and gave me a price of 134.75 for monerting my security system for each 6 months period. At this time I knew nothing about Ackerman, but I wrote a check for the 134.75. At this time I told him that if the service went up in price I would cancel. HE SAID NOTHING WAS SAID ABOUT A 3 YEAR CONTRACT. Then when I received the bill for my next 6 mo. it had gone up to 161.70. I called Ackerman and spoke with Stephanie Johnson to cancel. She informed me that I had a 3 year contract and e-mailed me a copy which it looks like I did sign it, but I don't remember it and it was never mentioned to my knowledge.I DID NOT AGREE TO THE PRICES GOING UP AND TOLD HIM ABOUT THIS. I would like to cancel my services with Ackeman. Or if I can't keep the prices to the amount that i agreed to until I can get away from ACKERMAN FOR GOOD. THANK YOU GLENN REED SR.

Ackerman Security Systems abusive sales rep

Worst sales rep ever. Don't let Mr. Searles sell you anything. Originally this company came highly recommended but they have done nothing but disappoint. From erratic equipment performance to expensive TRIP charges to fix their failed equipment. But the worst was the sales rep: Every-time you ask him about the latest in upgrades to keep your system up to date (like remote app access, Z-wave integration) he is clueless. After researching the info myself I was forced (tried to use an inside sales person... they have none)... had to call clueless Mike. He didn't even bother to listen to what I was asking before ranting and yelling that he was "tired of dealing with me" and hung up. GREAT customer service. So I was wanting a better company and this was the final straw. I wouldn't let Ackerman guard my birdhouse (and I don't even have a bird).

Their customer service department is not empowered to do anything to help customers, except send an e-mail to a supervisor to call you in a day or two. Do your self a favor and find a more reputable company.

Ackerman Security Systems I am tired of their incompetence

I am fully disappointed in Ackerman Security. I signed a contract for 3 years and it was not a good deal. They have problems with renews and I am tired of their incompetence. They only waste my time and money. Don’t use their services!

Ackerman Security Systems bad service

My 4 yr old tripped the alarm, I tried to set the alarm it would not accept. Called ackerman (By the way it took them 8 mins to respond to the alarm going off) I asked for service, I was told we do not service equipment! Well, that's not what I was told 30 months ago. He responded - "for $18.95 monthly you're getting what you pay for" and hanged up the phone! Shame on you ackerman! Word in my sub-division will get around! Especially when the safety factor is talked about. 8mins for a call on a trip alarm!

If Ackerman has changed to ADT, how do I get new signs and decals? I also do not have my password to log into ADT. I will furnish address and e-mail if so desired.
