AchieveCard overcharged, card never worked

Dis card came unsolicited in the mail. I had activate it to see if it was credit and it didnt work and kept declining. A few months later I hit them up about what the card is used for and they told me I could avoid check cashing by using direct depoist. My card had a starting balance of -$30 and they robbed me for 2 monthly fees and an activation fee. After speaking 2 a supervisor after my 3rd time calling, they revers 2 of the fees. The card doesnt always work. It charged me duplicate bill pays, and they keep authorization holds on my account for months. I do not reccomend ths card. I would reccomend bank freedom which doesnt have a monthly fee wth direct deposit, or some other card that has 24x7 live customer service. My bank freedom card never has issues like this one.

AchieveCard fraud

This prepaid card is a fraud from top to bottom. Stay away. First I see Ryan Thomas replied on here, he works for Achieve Card. What a joke he is .

He claims they have set up a special number for complaints, right to the president's desk. They will call you back. NO they do not. They ignore their customers.

I had their card for 6 months, twice I had unauthorized charges, charged to my account. Since this is a prepaid card, by law it has to stay who is w/d the money and supply a phone no.

There card does not do that. Twice in six months money was taken out of my account under the term debit withdrawl. So a ghost took the money out? I called and they claimed they had no idea who with drew the money.

That is not possible, because who ever took it out has a routing no, they could trace them by.

I never got my money back, , honestly in my opinion they are thieves. Also check out of the BBB website how many other companies this clown owns. He preys on the poor thinking what will they do?

Well my lawyer knows what to do and has contacted the attorney general and the BBB.

This is a major scam operation, very dishonest, don't know the meaning of service and fraud professionals. Their fees are way above the legal maximum for the service they say they provide. I tried to reason with them for almost 2 years and finally changed banks and card holders. This outfit should be shut down, burned to the ground, and arrest all the idiots that are a part of this fraud they are. They have no service, those clowns sit at their desks and play tidly winks while you are trying to explain your problem, then they hang up. Poorest excuse for a debit card I have ever known. Do NOT even mess with them, there are much better programs available and if they are run by 5 yr old kids, it will still be 100% better then these idiots.

I've actually been a real customer for the past year and a half and let me be the one to give you the heads up: This is hands-down the WORST prepaid card service that you can ever find. i'll explain why in exact detail right now. if you don't believe me and plan on going for AChievecard, I feel sorry for you for wasting your time and raising stress levels for the experiences you are about to encounter. I am about to terminate my account next week.

Let's start.

1.) There is a $10 maintenance fee.
2.) There is a $1 fee every single time you put in your pin number.
3.) The customer service line is terrible because
a) You need to wait at least an hour before you speak to anyone about ANY simple question.
b) When you ask to speak to a supervisor, she is just as helpful as the rookie customer service rep you just spoke with
4.) They are CHEAP and stingy
a) The "auctions" that they offer are products that you can find for $5 at Marshall's OR at the Dollar Tree. Don't let that be the incentive for why you open an account there. It's NOTHING special WHAT-SO-EVER. $4 headphones, Old clearance Barbies, like what kind of business is this, seriously?
b) The customer service line is so long because they are too cheap to invest in hiring more employees
c) When my direct deposit got sent back to my employer, and I was unable to contact them for 4 days due to the ONE HOUR+ Wait time, all they did was offer me a ONE MONTH COURTESY of no maintenance fee. I probably wouldn't even be happy with 6 months free if they offered it to me with all the hassles I went through. $10 definitely DOES NOT cover it.
d) Did I mention there is a $10 maintenance fee PLUS $1 every time you use your card as a debit? And a $2.50 fee charge by them PLUS what the ATM charges for withdrawals? Rediculous.
5) There is a 20 load limit per 30 consecutive days. This includes both direct deposits and green dot loads. So dumb. SO SO DUMB.
This was why my direct deposit got sent back to my employer and I was left without money for a few days. They took 3 days JUST TO send it back to my employer, and I had to wait an additional 24 hours AFTER the employer decided to send it back to me to arrive in my Achievecard account

I have over 1000 dollars on my card for some reason they have put a hold on it! Can not tell me why or let me talk to the person who put it on hold asked me to send them by fax a copy of my I'd ss# mail with address and w2 form i did it still has been 2 days no one can still tell me what's going on and that's after a 227 min hold time... I have contacted a frud unit ! And the IRS they are going to look in to it I just want MY money ! I think it is ### that I pay for them to hold my money and can't get it !

When I called to activate this card they wanted my date pf birth and my social security number in full. I called to speak to an operator to inquire why they ask for a full ss# online and on the phone and could not reach anyone.

The AchieveCard has a monthly fee of $9.95 That is most likely what is happening. Perhaps if you read all the information before activating you wouldn't have had this problem.

All legitimate financial institutions are required by federal law to verify the identity of their customers. Achieve is just following the rules by collecting and verifying this info.

AchieveCard activate fee 9.95 didnot say nothing

I recieved a call saying Ihave won a mastercard with 100.dollars on it .I recieve the card has no money on it. I call them they say, but A 100.Dollars on the card will give you 5, 000 points so you can use it toward nice gifts. so I put A$100. on it 8/28/10 went to the gas station the very next day.put $15.88 in my ford focuse.then went to walmart got a couple of items handed the cashier the card, she said there is no money on the card, I am so upset. I just cannot believe I got scamed like that, I have a reciept where I put A 100. on the card have any ideas how to help me. please my email is [protected]@gmail.com, please give me some answers. thank you for listening.

AchieveCard stinks

We recieved an Achieve Card in the mail. Which we did not apply for. With all the lowlifes out there trying to steal your identy anymore you have to be so careful of every offer that wants access to any of your personal numbers. Now you have these new scams where the thieves stand on the fence so to say. Sort of the old bait and switch. They make the offer seem like it would just make your life so much easier. But, like we have all heard, if something sounds to good to be true, it isn't. After eyeballing the Achieve Card offering, it just sounds to much like a bunch of snakes trying to get their hands on your money and staying one step ahead of the Federal Government.
The only access I feel would be fitting for this bunch would be some prison love. If you really want any kind of cards, use your brain and go to your own bank.

This is not the original Acheive Card company that started years ago this company is a fraud with new unprofessional people in the back round laughing. they disconnect you while talking they also find ways to take your money always keep a ledger of what you spend. And when you complain or if you have a problem it takes forever for them to reimburse you they hope you give up but don’t I would advise everyone to call the FDIC with your complaints about them they should be shut down! there thieves taking kickbacks from consumers for denying claims.

I wanted to let people know that the money was missing from our account was returned. It has been debited from our account, and just listed as a debit, no company name. It has been returned. Thank you

AchieveCard will not give you your money back

Some company in indonesia stole over 2200.00 off my card in one day in various dollar amounts. I called achieve card immediately to report it they told me to fill out a dispute form and then denied it several days later and said they would not give me my money back because the company that ripped me off had my security code on the back of my card. Well they would have that if i ordered online before and someone stole my information. This is a consumber rip off because banks are suppose to protect the cosumer of ripp off such as this. This was clearly a fraud because the company who stole the money have no name, no phone number to call just where it was from. Achieve card should not have let these fraudulent transactions go thru on my card and should do more to protect their card holders. I would tell anyone do not get this card because if someone uses your card they will not give you the money back.

well here's my thing I went to take my money out at one of the ATMs that they say or suppose to be free but yet you get charged for them too. But the real problem with them is that the ATM I was using didn't give me my money the fist time I tried to use it so I did it again about 4 minutes later and it started to do the same thing then it did give me my money but they still went and said I got the money the first time now they want me to send in that form you stated you filled out.

I put my paycheck on the card and now I cannot get a PIN number. The customer service department is just a recording. These people are awful. Help. I can't even afford to file bankruptcy.

hi ryan, my name is colette i have an enormous problem with Achievecard. They mailed me a card, my husband, my two sons. I had my tax refund deposited on the card in April and in May I had two cousins tax refund checks deposited, which Achievecard received and posted. I removed the money for my cousins and gave it to them, I sent my two sons and husband (through friends and family option) money on their cards. About 2 weeks after that Achievecard blocked my card, my two sons and my husbands card with money on them, and as of today refused to release the money. They said it looked like fraudulent activity. Well I told them that I was the authorized cardholder and I could assure that there were no fraudulent activities on my card, and the money on the cards were definitely ours and I could prove it. But they would not accept any proof from me. I was told by customer service that I could not ever use the card again nor were they giving me my money to me. I have never experience this kind of treatment. The total of the money blocked on our cards are $1, 690.00. I will not rest with this, if I have to go to the media with this I will. I was giving them time to investigate, but its been from May until now July, 2011 since I have been waiting. I am determine to get my money back or some kind of justice. Thanks for listening!

AchieveCard security breech in my mailbox

These idiots sent me a card in the mail without my ordering one. Not just a little fake plastic card, but a real, ready-to-be-activated prepaid credit card with my name on it. The activation sticker practically advertised what the PIN was.

I was not expecting this card. If it had been stolen in the mail, I never would have known. Because it was a prepaid kind, I know that means an account couldn't have been racked up in my name directly, but that doesn't mean harm couldn't have been done. Prepaid or not, that was a card attached to my name, my identity, and my personal information. The fine print on the back made it clear that if it was used at all, I would be on the hook for their entire terms of service, meaning fees and whatever else. Who knows what other personal information of mine some fraud could have gotten to through them?

Seriously, seriously STUPID and DANGEROUS company, if this is standard practice. Don't touch them.

We were also sent this card without requesting it. But I do contract jobs and thought it would be nice to use this card to put that money on. Most of the payments from these jobs come direct deposit. They are horrible handling direct deposits. I have also had problems sending money to pay bills, and they limit how much you can send a day. If they want to put some security measures in place thats fine, but to block access to my own money, is not acceptable. I was within the amount in their 'fine print' but evidently they can decide to limit access to money, beyond their own written 'terms'. So they don't even follow their own written 'rules' horrible card. The no one their on the weekends is crazy. If you have a problem like missing money or unauth charges you can not even report it, until they mosey in on Monday. With all the other cards out there this in one to stay away from. I believe I saw a blog the other day relating to this card, if I can find it again I will post the link.

Let me clear this company is full of it. I've had them for a yr now & I've noticed they don't deposit funds right after they receive it from the employer for direct deposit like they claim. I've caught them in several lies. And up until a month ago u finally spoke with a rep who admitted the truth. My employer would send the wire but Achieve would hold the funds until 7: 30 or 8-PM. Yes PM which makes no sense because my hr department aren't open around that time. So for the past two pay periods I've had to call them on Wed and report my direct deposit missing. Each time I spoke with agent who swore he didn't see a deposit but as soon as it came from my employer it would be posted to my account. After I got off the call the first time literally a min late I receive an alert my deposit had posted. Then the next payday the same thing no deposit it's pass 3pm so I called and as for a supervisor. He tried to give me the same lies & that's when I told him what happened before & that I had confirmed with my hr department what time they sent my funds to Achieve 12am so they had been holding my funds for over 10hrs. As soon as we hung up my funds posted to my acct. If it happens this week. I'm going to take legal action for them falsely representing themselves & for mishandling their customers funds. And I will NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!

Achieve card sucks still waiting for my dd from my job. I have been using this card now since Nov hadn't had problems until now. Always got my dd on Friday when u called they said it's on my jobs end and I would get my dd Monday. WELL IT'S MONDAY AND STILL NOTHING YET! I have bills I need to pay this is ridiculous I have never dealt with this before. As soon as I get my money I'm switching to another card, and another thing is u never know what time they will put your money in. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CARD SERVICE

i's 3:34 in the morning I just had my first child [protected] (Elijah Chance Dickerson) and we r leaving the hospital tomorrow and my direct deposit isnt here yet! If i dont get my money very SOON i will too be Spending some extra money to file papers and sue this a very very wrong time to do this to a customer especially when they're at the hospital with your girlfriend giving birth. thing I hate most in life is businesses that are unprofessional and this company is a joke... does n e one know.of won lawsuits against them? PLEASE HELP ME !

I am really disappointed with the level of incompetent service this Company provides. My Payroll Deductions have not been credited to my Account. I am severing all contact with this Company as soon as I am able to receive the Funds they are in possession of. I am also aware of a Class Action Lawsuit against this Company, and I believe I am entitled to a portion of the Settlement.

I received an Achive Card with them and my first direct deposit went through fast because my employer had their bank "force" send it into my account. The next pay period there was an issue with my routing numbers and my employer had to cut me a check. I contacted Achieve's customer service line and they told me that I had the wrong routing numbers and to correct it on my end. So I had my employer correct it and they cut me another check.

Now today is payday and there's no money in my account. I contacted my employer and they said that the money went through on their end. I contacted Achieve customer service right away and they told me that I had the wrong routing numbers again. (WTF?!?) Are you f*cking kidding me again? They used the same excuse again.

I explained my situation with them and the customer service rep transferred me over to the department that handles the direct deposit claims. I had spoke to a lady and she told me that the money didn't go through and would be sent back to my employers bank because of the wrong routing numbers. My employer had to cut me another check again and made me sign a paper stating that if the funds weren't returned then I'd have to pay it out of my own pocket. (WTF AGAIN?!?)

I was never told or aware of the 2-3 business day time that they had on their end for direct deposits. I'm waiting it out a few days and see if the money will be returned from Achieve Card's bank, which is First California Bank. The lady also told me that she will email me a confirmation/tracking number for the direct deposit being sent back to my employer's bank. If nothing is returned and my employer contacts me about this then I will be talking to my lawyer. Enough said...

Ryann tell the truth your are a new walmart and turbo card that used another name that rips people off takes people hard earned money this is a scam card no body using turbo no more so you change your name to achieve you can only rip people off for so long get a pre paid card from your bank if you dont wont your money took by crooks

Thanks males for that information. I'd play in the Achieve card needs to be fact I triggered the charge card and intended on adding my check however not a way. In my opinion I'll call Bank Of America like others have. Attractive out.

Pissed. This is the 3rd direct deposit for me in 2 weeks that has not posted when it was supposed to ! I wake up no money! I am about to switch cards.I do not pay a fee to maintain my account for my money not to be there.This is becoming a problem.I can not even pay my bills when I wake up.They are about to lose a customer.

AchieveCard lack of fee information

When they sent me the card, there was no disclosure in the envelope, so I had no idea when I loaded the card that I would be charged $9.95 per month for the privilege of their crap prepaid card. It wasn't until logging on the the website that you find their terms and conditions. And you can't talk to anybody on the phone without paying $2.00. Don't be surprised if you get cut off several times, at $2.00 a call. I want to know how they can get away with this.

i just a an app in the mail for this card. im not so sure about it thats why im here. the $9.95 fee is just a one time thing right? do you have to pay anything for your chk to be depoisted onto this card? can anybody give me some good feedback on this card? any touble with it?, hidden fees?, can you use it as many times as you like to? not at the atm i know, im talkin bout at stores. has anybody ever had a problem with there money not been put on the card? any help will help

I'm not a fan of these type of cards and am on this site because of a suspicious looking envelope/card that just came to my house unsolicited with another person's name on it. Just so you know I'm not an apologist for Achieve.

As for the "surprise" fees, c'mon man, read the bleeping fees section in the literature that came with the card! You know, the one INSIDE the envelope. It's all right there. Yea, the fees are ridiculous but they aren't "hidden" unless you are a total idiot and don't read the enclosed literature. That's why you got that great public education that our taxes paid for - so you could actually READ something instead of whining because someone didn't spoon feed you.

Achieve Card doesnt charge you for a phone call. I switched from AccountNOW because THEY charged me $2 per call. Achieve is much better. Fees are lower than what my roomate gets charged for his bank accout, but he is always overdrawing

AchieveCard scam

This company solicited a debit card with a fee. I thought I was signing up for a prepaid card and activated it online. there is now a minus of 30.00 worth of (their) charges just to have the card and - not a phone number or contact information in site so that I can ask them to cancel the card.

I am filing a complaint of how rude and disrespect your agent are I was suppose to receive my direct deposit today and my deposit was returned I am highly pissed and will not be referring anyone to you company

my account was compromised twice in the same month like two days apart when it first happen i contacted the card holder and was told not to worry my transactions were being disputed yea thats what i was told than come to find out 2 months later that there was nothing did at all there was $370 stolen out of my account un authorized so i called back in and was told they were going to file the dispute again they emailed me some documents that i filled out and returned back never heard anything else i then contacted them and was told they needed a statement from me i did that and faxed it in and a whole month went pass and never heard back from them so i contacted them again and was told my claim was cancelled no reasons why it took them from feb 2013 til june 18 to come up with this and i still havent got a clear answer on anything nor my money back they have poor costumer service and they company is a fraud

I, too received a debit VISA card from this company.. there was a phone number for customer service on the card, and a number to call if you didn't agree with the terms and wanted to cancel. NEITHER number offered a way to cancel! I went to their online site, and there was no help there to cancel, either.

I emailed customer service at the company (support@achievecard.com), and received an automated reply, saying I should call the same numbers I tried before. This email address is UNMONITORED, and no help at all.

I then called VISA itself (1-800-VISA911), and they connected me to a line that DID allow me to cancel the card; that number is [protected].

Friend from Alaska was sending me money (personal ) thru money pack. Once i get it I load it into my Achieve Card. then i take the
money out as soon as it ready. i needed the cash for paying bill, rent etc.
then my friend from alaska send me another pack for the amount of$1, 000.00, did the same thing received from money pack then deposit to
my Achieve account and i take the cash out right away. then there was a problem on the account all of a sudden.
i called Achever customer service and they said that they have to freeze the account because of a suspicious fraud. . and i said " i didnt make a complain and i dont see any unathorized use of my card..
Achieve reason why they freeze the account is im widrawing the money right away on my own accout and they believe that theres a fraud going on. i explain to them this is my money in my account i can widraw any amount i want. what is wrong with that..
they asked me to send a copy of my identification social security, and my card number ..i faxed all the requirement they need and still
they wont give me my money. because they said the couldnt read my information..
im not sure why they still want to hold the money, i did what i was told to do. they have accused me of doing fraud. and its seems like theres
nothing i could do more to get my money back just because they think there was a fraud going on..
what makes me so mad is instead of achieve find a way to help me. they accused me of doing fraud with there lame evidence that depositing money and taking out money MY MONEY at the same time. ( just because the money was sent to me by MONEY Pack it was a convenient way of receiving money.) whick they also charge me a fee for taking out money so i dont see anything wrong with what i did.

I just got this achieve card actived it I can see my direct deposit on my work web site that shows hay money deposited but when I go to the card call check what ever all I hear is 0 where's my money Ive check check and double check routing and account number so now where's my money it's Thanksgiving and I'm trying hard not to get out of my element so please tell me what's going on

Archivecard makes me feel like my money is being taking away in a sneaky way...I had this Card for one year now. Just today for the first time in one year I looked online at some of my transaction's and withdrawals from ATM. I was surprised that A.C charges you 2.95 for money withdrawal plus the ATM fee. Plus not only that my check was 496.24 and online it tell me that the debited amount was 476.24., ...what happened to the rest of my money.? Just bc I'm a busy guy and I really don't have time to look at the charges doesn't mean you could ripe me a new one...I'm seriously done with this Card company... I could have a lot more money saved to helpout with my disease. Thanks AchieveCard your the best! It's over!

i want to know why i can't activate my directexpress card online i was expecting my ssi check & instead i got a debit card witch i do not want it's my money & want it sent by check i don't want to keep a record of what i spend i want the cash in my pocket

I want to just add my opinion on the POS of a company.
I have had achieve card for about 6 months now and have had money deposited into my account with no problem. Then last night I had a deposit of over 3000 initiate. Before It hit my account they blocked my account... For no reason apparently for suspicious activity? I contacted seller support this morning only to be told that nothing could be done. That there was evidence of suspicious activity. I havnt done anything wrong aand this is total bs. The only thing that is suspicious is a cancellation of my account right before that much money was set to be deposited. Janky company. DO NOT USE THIS BANK/CARD. ITS A SCAM and now I'm out 3000. I'm going to take legal action.

my achieve card arrived today jun 3 2014 in the mail, i activated the card and proceeded to the bank to pull out my funds. the pin code would not take and i called achieve card back for clarificattion? they said they resent things and not to use the card until midnight?
at 1am same nite i used the card for cash wdrawal and the atm machine at the card! i only had the card 8hrs as fedex delivered it that day! the bank ate my card and for what? achievecard did not clear my card and due to too many pin code attempts the FIRSt time around my card was confiscated via the atm BUT i called achieve 5 times during the same day to PREVENT this issue from happening and it did anyway! my experience with achievecard has been an absolute nitemare! supervisors do not call you back or email you. reps at ach card stated they would transfer funds to my wifes acct and the funds never appeared yet callls to a supervisor simply resulted in oh uh sir the employee was incorrect in advising you that funds would be transferred!

card blocked fr use 2hrs after talking to achieve card rep...atm kept card! achieve card stated ok go ahead and use card! what!
incorrect info/misleading info
no tracking number given for fedex on express card delivery/card delivered when not home! didnt know date of delivery! or tracking number!
supervisors not returning email or call requests from employees
paid 27.00 for 2 day express mail fr fedex and 7days later card shows up at door no one home! mailman sent it back! wtf!

every issue i have discussed with achieve card has been incorrect information! all info disseminated has been incorrect!

this is the worst experience ive ever had in business! i call and ask for a supervisor who says ok we reset your pin code go ahead use card after mindnite and sure enough after one pin code entry and only one transaction the card was kept! ive only had card for 8hrs!
