Ace Hardware advertising

Dear Ace, I am a fan of your stores, especially the local St. Johns Ace Hardware. I shop there often.

I am opposed to Laura Ingraham, her opinions and Fox News in general. If you continue to advertise with them I will likely take my business to a competitor.

I hope you reconsider your sponsorship. My preference is to continue to do business with you.

Thank you, Tim Ros

Ace Hardware unethical behaviour

You lost my family and I from shopping in your ace hardware stores for the stupid stunt you pulled when you took your advertising off of laura ingram & fox news show.
Some kid is trying to make a name for himself over a tragic thing like that and you people get your nose into it and promote other kids to do the same in the future. Wow! who ever was involved in this should be fired! I have been shopping in ace hardware stores for at least 60 yrs or more but, you won't see me in their anymore.

Ace Hardware return of items and no response to emails

We helped move my 84 year old aunt and we needed a hookup for her gas range. We went to ace in findlay, ohio to buy it. We took pictures and measurements and got help from man there but got back and it didn't fit. When we went to return it, the store was closed ~ it was a sunday and they close at 4:00. So we went to a walmart and got what we needed. (should have gone there in the first place!) findlay is an hour and a half from our home so my husband went to the two ace stores near us. They refused to accept the returns because they don't sell the exact items. The lady at the one store was just nasty. Frustrating because we are an hour and a half from findlay so they want us to drive 3 hours round trip to return $21 worth of items? The really frustrating thing though is the fact that i've emailed their customer service twice and they don't even have the common courtesy to respond. That's very poor customer service! We will never again buy from them!

Ace Hardware advertising.

Laura Ingram speaks only the truth. David Hogg is a young jerk.
Davids Father is an F.B.I. Agent that owns a gun and takes it home.
Question, Has David ever been to the gun range with his Father.
To drop your Ads from the Laura Ingram show shows ignorance of the situation. I will never again shop at Ace Hardware. Nor will over 63 million Americans that voted for Donald Trump and respect our 2nd Amendment.
BIG MISTAKE

Ace Hardware refuse to honor coupon

I made a local purchase today and store personnel refused to accept a $5.00 coupon simply because their "profit margin" wasn't big enough on the items I was purchasing. I asked why and that was the reason given. Nothing in the terms of the coupon, which are plainly written on the coupon, make items exempt simply because the owner or an employee doesn't feel like they are making enough money on them. Nor did the coupon's terms mention any of the items I purchased. I bought $58.19 of merchandise, none of which was on sale, clearance, rental, or ordered online. I bought potting soil, mulch, and chicken wire. I have heard others complaining that this store would not honor their coupons, but had previously thought the items they were buying just didn't qualify because of the aforementioned reasons. Now I know better. It depends on who is managing the store that day. I am a small business owner and have previously worked through a company that sells franchises. This is bad business, and it's something that the company can correct if they want to ... and should.

Ace Hardware service of the salesman

I have a complaint that it took me so long waiting that there is a stock for the electric fan dowel as buy 1 take 1. It's been close to one hour we waited for them to give us our item. They just saying they will just check if there's a stock. In the end they will just told us that they dont have a stock for that. My question is why they display that electricfan with the the word buy 1 take 1, yet they dont have. I got angry for expecting that they have and in the end telling us there is no stock for that. They just walking and walking, they dont make it sure the item they have and i dont think they monitored quickly the item they sold. Their service is very bad. It makes me disappointed. This branch is at the waltermart sta.rosa belair tagaytay road brgy pulong st.cruz.

Ace Hardware prices

For so many year, almost over 15 years, I've been making small purchases at Kosrae Ace Hardware, in the Federated States of Micronesia. We have only one Ace Hardware, and many people have been complaining about the prices of lumbers and other construction materials. I, myself, wanted to know if the prices of the construction materials, or even other goods, are the right price. Comparing with your online prices and other Ace Hardware on other islands in the Federated States of Micronesia, Kosrae Island's Ace Hardware prices are very high, and it keeps changing. Our Ace Hardware is the only hardware store on our island, therefore, I am very suspicious of the sudden changes in prices when items are rare. For example, when there is a high demand of Lumbers or tin-roofs, the prices goes unbelievably high.
Is there a way that you can look into this issue? Many of the people on our island are ripped off by our Kosrae Ace Hardware, but they don't have other choices but to buy from them.

Thank you very much for your time.

an Ace Hardware Customer.

Ace Hardware unethical behavior of the store owner, mark

While shopping @ the above ACE Hardware a few weeks ago, my friend & I overheard the owner, Mark, talking down to the employees using the F...word a lot. Evidently, Mark was holding an am employee meeting.
My friend, myself & the cash register lady were in shock!
How dare him talk to those hard working employees using curse words, especially the F... word. I was so taken back, that my friend & I stopped shopping there. Mark needs a "Come to Jesus" meeting from the Ace high ups. He has no business, as an Owner, to speak to his employees that way. Not long after that, a lot of employees quit!

Ace Hardware ace rewards program

My issue has been going on since July 31st, 2017 when they supposedly mailed the first $15.00 gift card to my home address. I have sent numerous emails and talked to customer service about never receiving the $15.00 card. I had enough points to get the $15.00 card, but they say they have mailed it and I will get it in 4-6 weeks. They keep saying they have mailed it and it keeps getting stolen, not sent at all, etc.. Now they said they would send me another $15.00 card for the trouble. In short, now I am waiting on 2 $15.00 gift cards, which will probably never show up. Is there anybody out there who can help me with this issue? Thank you.

Ace Hardware unethical behavior from the owners

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator model # RF263BEABC from Crosslake Ace Hardware #15216 on 2/8/2018. I paid a "service/delivery" charge of $35.

I want to make it clear that the salesman and the delivery people were very professional, my complaint is with the owner, Betty Soller who I had the unfortunate experience of having to deal with. What follows is a recap of the events that have led to this complaint.

The refrigerator was delivered as scheduled on 2/9/18. The delivery crew installed the doors and we had power to the refrigerator, this model has a control panel on the exterior of the door which lit and the crew told me and I read in the installation instructions that it could take 24 to 48 hrs for the refrigerator to reach full cooling capacity. Water hook up was my responsibility, which I understood and completed without issue.
With the refrigerator now plugged in as the consumer/customer my expectation is that the refrigerator should begin cooling and be at a operating temperature within 48 hours of being installed.
Fast forward to the next morning when my wife opened the refrigerator and freezer to find everything at room temperature! We both read through the users manual and the "before calling service" troubleshooting guide, we did everything in both books, the display screen for the controls would change but would go back to the same display that was on the screen when the delivery crew and I plugged it in the day before.
I registered the refrigerator on the Samsung website and then called Samsung for help, I explained that it was delivered the previous day and told them what the screen displayed.
The very helpful Samsung tech told me the refrigerator was in "display mode" and how to take it out of display mode, hence the refrigerator began cooling.
There is nothing in the users manual even referencing a display mode, so I contacted the store and one of the employees said that they would have the owner contact me which she did.
When Betty called me me back, she point blank told me it was my fault that the refrigerator wasn't cooling, despite me explaining to her that I would have no way of knowing of the display mode.
Betty's attitude toward me was the most unprofessional I have ever experienced, She said she would reimburse me for $100 of food lost to spoilage. When I showed up this afternoon she changed her story to only half of the receipt amount $50.
Not once during my conversation with her or when I met with her did I ever hear her apologize for the inconvenience, say thank you for the purchase.
It was all my fault, the only thing that was my fault was trying to support a local merchant as apposed to going to a big box store.
I went 30 miles to look at the Ace Hardware store in Crosslake and to be treated like they were the ones doing me a favor by letting me buy from them is insulting.
If I worked at Ace Corporation and I got complaints about a franchise showing such horrible service to customers, when the customer was not even remotely at fault, I would revoke the stores franchise.

If you wish to verify my call to Samsung the service number is [protected], the reference# [protected].

My name is Rodger Pratt, I can be reached @[protected]

Additionally, in our rural Minnesota we have a program called"Lakes Proud", its purpose is to promote buying from local businesses and is overseen by the Brainerd Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce.

I will be contacting them as well as posting my situation to twitter, Facebook, Craigslist(rants and raves) and leaving a review on the stores website.

I am a firm believer that a "Retailer" should know the products that they sell. Whether or not the delivery crew knew about the display mode is a matter of training which should have been provided by the store owners.
My receipt reads: service/delivery.

I will never shop at the Crosslake Ace Hardware store again and will not refer anyone to do business there as well.

I talked to Betty Soller not her husband Dan Soller, who more than likely isn't even aware of what happened or how his spouse and co-owner treats customers. At least until he hears about this or gets some feedback from my social media posts that are soon to follow.

Looking forward to hearing from Ace Corporation on how they handle such matters.

Sincerely,
Rodger Pratt

Ace Hardware service

Purchased new Stihl chainsaw, .. would not start when I got it home, ... called for help and told me the service shop was another 10 miles away! Stay away from Ace Hardware Woodmont Georgia! It seems as though certain Ace Hardware Stores do not service the products they sell! Buyer beware! I thought paying 509.00 for a Stihl Chain Saw, .. it would at least start! Did not fire once! Don't know which is worse, ... Stihl Products or Ace Hardware!

Ace Hardware unprofessional driving

At 5:18 am on January 11th on the Florida turnpike entrance ramp from I-595, one of your semi drivers cut me off. If that wasn't bad enough, he proceeded to cut me off again as I had moved over for him originally when I saw his turn signal. While in my lane ( to his right) I was going slightly faster and he started coming over to cut me off again! My bright lights did nothing he was coming over no matter what. I had to brake to avoid being hit.
In these tough times when your company is competing with Lowe's and Home Depot this kind of unprofessional incompetence is a direct reflection on your company.
Because of this I'll probably not shop at your "helpful place" ever again.
You can thank the driver, better yet discipline him where it hurts. He's cutting your bread and butter!

Ace Hardware bad experience on an online order [protected]

Bill Gasch [protected], [protected]@yahoo.com
ON 11-24-17 I placed an order ([protected]) to be PU at a local store (7168354 Deluxe Alum Tool Set( I have received this item, 7332331 Poly Wheelbarrow 10 cube missing, (9996091 2 handles missing, ( 9996109 parts rec. On Monday I got a phone call telling me part of my order had arrived. I went to the location a few days later after an additional call telling me more items had arrived. I went to the address given, but they were very quick to tell me they did not represent Ace any longer and that only part of the shipment arrived. A very long story short they told me they would not call UPS or Ace, and I was on my own. I will not detail the calls, but for more than a week I called Ace and UPS, but to no avail and later the second week I called and the CS rep (very nice lady) gave me to a supervisor "Josh", (he has zero people skills and certainly should never be allowed to talk to the public) and after I ask Josh to cancel the order and send me another to my home, he quoted Ace's policy and rights, and after I told him he was not helping me he hung the phone up. I was very upset so two days later I talked to another CS rep named Carol who was great. She ask me if I would agree to canceling the first order and have her place a new order at another store. She said my Visa card would be debited the money back and I would pay the new store when I picked up the wheelbarrow and I said thank you. Everything went as planned, and I have my new wheelbarrow now (P/U and paid for 12/8/17). Yesterday UPS delivered a wheelbarrow to my house. I do not know if it is a new order or my old order finally getting to me, but I wrote your CS department this AM asking what I should do, but no one has answered me.
I have to things to ask about that are very important to me.

1. My Visa has not been debited my credit for the first shipment.
2. What do I do with the second part delivered to my home, keep it for spare parts, or send it back collect on UPS.

Please have someone contact me on this ASAP so I will know it is getting attention.

Ace Hardware your employee al assaulted me.

At 2:20 p.m. I stopped at your Deerfield store and was assaulted by it your employee Al. He had an issue about me parking my bicycle. I shop here all the time and I've never had a problem. He tried to grab my bicycle and I stepped in front of them and he put me in a headlock your other employees or watching as well as customers when I asked for them to call the police he let me go. I talk to the manager ask her about it and he didn't seem to do much about it. I believe this to be a crime done by one of your employees and should be punished for it. I hope this is not how you run your business. I should have pressed charges.

You could still file a police report if you want. The store most likely has cameras and as you stated there were several witnesses. Where did you park your bike and why did he want you to move it?

Ace Hardware store order

I visited Ace Hardware at 5749 SW Bird Rd, Miami, Fl. 33155 last week to buy toilet seat replacement hindges. They didn't have at the store but they said I could order it there. It didn't make sense that if you buy online you can pick up next day at store, but if you order at store, you have to wait a week, till today Thursday when their merchandise arrives.
I called today, they told me truck was in but didn't know if my part was in it.
I drove to store, the treatment I received from the sales person was rude, they told me they will call me but this guy asked me for my number saying they didn't have it.
When I asked to please look for my part, he said no because he didn't know if part was even there! He searched for my order and couldn't even find record of it. He asked me for my receipt. I was very upset with their rude behavior and lack of interest in helping.
I asked again, why couldn't they look for my part? He gave me all kinds of excuses, he said they'll probably call me at store closing time.
I said I was gonna wait, he gave me a sarchastic reply. They have no clue of what they're doing or any customer service training. My health is delicate, the aggravation I suffered today doesn't help.
Horrible experience!

Ace Hardware wrong price info and not honoring discount

This is why I will continue to shop at Home Depot. I called my local ACE hardware store and inquired the pricing of mulch. I was told it is $4.99 Since it was only $1 more each bag than Home Depot charges and I had a $5 coupon I decided to support my local ACE hardware store. When I got to the store I was told that the employee gave me the old price, now the price was actually $ 6.99 but since I was misinformed they would give me each bag for $ 5.49. Usually a company honors a price they just quoted 10 minutes ago. When I wanted to use my coupon I was told I could not use it, since the bags were already discounted. I needed some other things and spent an other $25 or so. My wife asked if ACE gives veteran discounts like Home Depot does and one employee told her yes. When I went to pay for all of my items the employee who gave me the wrong information on the phone and wouldn't take my $5 coupon unless Ill spend another $20 dollars, said since I had a coupon I won't get the Veteran's discount. Today is Veteran's day.
Apparantly not even today these employees can honor a Veteran's discount. My wife was very upset, specially since we now had been given twice the wrong information by your employees . We are only talking about $12 or so, but still...this is pretty bad customer service.

Ace Hardware tire purchase and installation

On March 9, 2017 at Ace Hardware/Smiths Farm store in Knox Indiana I purchased and had installed 2 rear tires on my 2007 Toyota Tacoma truck. I was satisfied with the service. I did notice an excessive amount of tire weights (3 on outside 1 on the inside) on the driver rear tire that they installed. I did not think much of it. On May 16, 2017 I went back and purchased and had installed 2 front tires. After a few days I noticed a vibration in the steering. I went to the store and ask them to balance them again. I dropped the truck off so they could do this. They called me later that day and said they could not balance the passenger front tire because it was defective. It was warped. They would order a new tire and call me. They never called so after a few days I called them. They told me the tire had not come in and they would check with the supplier and call me. They never called. I called them. They told me it should on the next order. They would call me. Again I had to call them. The tire finally came. It was installed while my wife waited. Within a few miles after leaving the store the tire pressure warning light started flashing and stayed on. She thought it was probably low tire pressure and continued home. When she arrived home I checked all tire pressures and they were good. I tried to reset the light, but it would do the same thing. Flash several times and then stay on. Within a week I was able to take it back to the store. They tried to reset it, but could not. They said it was probably a bad sensor. They did not have one to replace it then, but would order one. After several days my wife took it back. They replaced the sensor and showed my wife the bad sensor that was cracked. A few days later the light started flashing again and stayed on. At this point being very frustrated with the many trips back to the store I went to a tire dealer. He scanned the tire for a reading, but the sensor was not sending reading. He told me it may be faulty or needed programing. I went back to ACE and told them this. We agreed that if it was a programming issue I could have the tire dealer to it and ACE would reimburse me. Some weeks passed before I was able to get back to the tire dealer. When I did and they tried to program it the found out it was the wrong sensor. They replace it with proper one. This cost me $100.00. I took the receipt to ACE and after some discussion I accepted and In store credit for that amount. During all this I had checked all tire pressures a couple of times as I had to take 2 trips and could not rely on the tire pressure warning light. Each time I did I found that the driver rear tire was 5 to 10 ponds low. This week I checked them again with the same result. I sprayed a soap solution on the tire and discovered a rim leak at one of the tire weights. I went back again to ACE on 10/29/17 and spoke to the store Manager Adam Smith. I told him I was not doing well as I have another problem with the tires. He asked what was wrong. I told him there was a rim leak on one of my tires. He told me they could pop it off and look at it. I told him I hope the tire bead was not damaged. He said he doubted it. He then told me his tires leak all the time and just deals with it. I told him my tires do not and should not. That I have replaced tires several times in my life and have never had problem with tires as new as these leaking on the rim. He responded "You do not need to be rude When were these put on?" Before I could respond he then said "and now you want us to be responsible?" I told him the tires have way less than 10, 000 miles. (Actually probably less than 2000.) He then told me "he did not want to talk to me anymore". At which point I left the store very frustrated and disappointed in ACE Hardware and will no longer patronize ACE Hardware unless this issue is fully resolved to my satisfaction.

Ace Hardware carpet cleaner

I rented a carpet cleaner yesterday October 25, 2017.. I was told to make sure water reservoir and brushes were cleaned when I brought the cleaner back. I cleaned both and when I returned the cleaner the cashier put her nose in the reservoir and said it smelled ands sprayed it with majestic window cleaner to freshen the smell and then she lifted the cleaner up and said she refused to clean the bottom splash guard. Told her to show me the dirt and she wouldn't..Told me I was getting my deposit back because I left the cleaner dirty.
