On aug 30 at 10:30 pm I went to an esso station at Front st an sherborne because I was runnning out when I picked up the nozzle and push the regular it didn't zero so I just waited I thought the attendent was busy but when I looked there was no customers in side I repeditly keep pushing the button and the intercom no answer do I went inside to ask what's up and the attendent said the system was down so he couldn't serve anyone I asked him why didn't you tell me that when I pushed the intercom he then got mad and told me to get out I've never been told this in my life I'm in the service Industry and would never say that that god there was a shell up the street which I will start using from now on I am a daily user but after this no more here is my esso extra #[protected]. If that attendent isn't happen with his job maybe he should find a new one. Good luck. Cory switzer
Hidden Service Charge
I called Accurate Plumbing at 9:00 in the morning. I said I needed a water filter installed and asked for an estimate of the price and time. I was told early afternoon and that the plumber would call me with an estimate. When the plumber called at noon, he said that he could not give an estimate on the phone and there would be a $120 charge to come out and then would give the estimate.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Plumbers have a price book in their van or truck and can give a estimates on most plumbing related issues over the phone. They won't because they want the service charge. If a plumber charges more than $80.00 for a service charge to walk into your house, tell them thanks but no thanks and call someone else who is more fair to the consumer. The secretary knows what their service charge is and should tell you that when you first call. Since there was to be a water filter to be installed, it should take no more than an hour for a proper estimate. At $120 for an hour to write on a form, the pen must be filled with 24k ink.
I am responding to this complaint from a home owner who called up regarding service. When he called and spoke to one of the secretaries, he explained that he needed a water filter installed, the secretaries do not know any prices, prices would either be given out by the Plumber who is assigned the call or a Manager within the Company. Yes we do charge $120 dollar service charge to come give estimates, this price includes coming to the house and diagnosing the problem. That price of $120 dollars however, comes off the price of the job if both parties agree. With the current financial state that the econmony is in right now, we are unable to send a technician out for nothing. The Technician has to get paid for there time, there is gas invovled, insurance, and other cost that the average consumer might be unaware of. If however you call up for a water heater replacement, toilet clog, sink leak, sink stoppage, etc., we are able to quote prices over the phone for that since those are all normal plumbing issues. When you need to find out how much pipe is needed, where the water filter is going to go, how its going to be ran, theres all time involved. We are sorry that you were dissatisfied with your experience with Accurate Plumbing.
