I ordered the Acaiburn product on a "Trial basis" and was shipped a similar product out of Burlington, ON.
After reading the contents label, I discovered that it contained only trace amounts of the Acai berry. I returned the product unopened and after many cancellation phone calls WAS refunded the original $cdn 57.65. This took place in March 2017.
In July 2017 my Visa card was charged with $ cdn 3.61 with a notation "on/V insidertips [protected] Gibraltar. I phoned that number and was told that I subscribed to their plan along with the Acaiburn order. They then cancelled THAT LITTLE SCAM. Out of curiosity I asked how many other scams I would have to cancel and was indeed given one additional number "[protected]. I cancelled THAT supposed order and I truly hope that this is the end of a NIGHTMARE!

Hi Adie M
I was just replying to the complaint from Ailee5. I live in N. Ireland and had no problem cancelling my subscription mainly because our postal system is very quick and although the despatch time was delayed from the merchant, the item arrived in time to cancel subscription. I think some customers are confused and maybe if you make it more clear when actually ordering the free trial (not just in the T&C but on the order page too) that it is a subscription with a free trial you wouldn't get as many complaints - transparency is key. Anyway like I see I have no complaint myself other than lack of transparency. I checked my account this month and I haven't been charged.

Thank you so much for pointing that out! I had been signed up to both of these and did not even know! I called both companies and had no problem getting a cancellation confirmation number for each.

Thank you Mr. Miller for all of this information. The same thing happend to me after ordering Acai Burn. What a SCAM. Isn't it interesting that the 800 numbers are all linked to cancellation lines. I am going to report this as a SCAM to protect others, but have lost a lot of money in the process. Kim

I cancelled in March and am still getting billed for nothing. I did cancel on line as well. Every month I complain to my card provider. Why are they doing this?

***********PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THIS HORRIBLE SCAM!******

sorry if this does not make full sense, i am copying pasting my comments from one complaint onto as many as possible to try and help people but also to see if anyone knows what i can do!

I spoke to someone called eve on their live chat customer services 15minutes after booking when realised it was a scam. She was not helpful one bit! i spoke to her asking to cancel and asking for them to not even send the free trial i do not want anything to do with them, and she said it has been cancelled but i will be charged $58, 76 as i have already been sent my free trial and ordered another months.

When i asked for a tracking number or some sort of proof that it has been sent out as i couldnt believe it had been sent already as my card had not even been charged the postage yet, she said she couldnt give me any. When i pleaded with her to please cancel and not to send anything at all even the free trial as i cannot afford it and i do not want anything, she said the delivery team is very quick and they have left the building!

she had no empathy and was not helpful at all. i have had to close down my bank account as it is a debit card and i am unable to block transactions which is a huge hassle as it means my wages will bounce, student loans have nowhere to go and my rent and other direct debits are messed up.

i feel so stupid as it was so obviously a scam and i realised so soon after booking and yet i still couldnt stop it :(:( i'm never ever going to get free samples again and i hope that this board stops at least a few people falling for the scam.

****DO NOT BOTHER!******

***update***

closing your bank account does not help, they legally have the right to move on to your new bank account as i was told by vivian on live chat who also told me it was very easy for them to still charge.

They also automatically sign you up for other things too.

my bank account would not close as they had charges pending and these charges were taken leaving my account overdrawn and owing a charge to the bank. This company is a total scam and i have no idea how to get out of this downward spiral. I am a student i just lost my job and live alone. i do not even need this pill, im part of a gym and go daily! i just fell for it because it was free or so i thought.

can anyone help please?

You will always have to pay 1) for the postage even though you can sign up for the 'Ultimate Shipping Package' which tells you postage and insurance are free and 2) the terms and conditions have this in them: a pre-authorized pending payment of Fifty-Eight Dollars and Seventy-Six Cents ($58.76) does apply for the trial offer for your initial fourteen (14) day trial membership ("Trial Membership"). If like me you only glanced through the Ts & Cs before signing up for the trial you'll have to pay the $58.76 whether you cancel your trial order or not. However, looking at the pickle some people have got themselves into £33 looks like I got off lightly.
This company's ethics leave a lot to be desired and the quicker WatchDog expose their sharp practices the better.

I did 3 things:
1. I called [protected] to cancel the Comprehensive weight loss e-book package
2. I called [protected] to cancel the Insider secrets to weight loss
3. Cancelled my complete order via the on-line chat and mailed a transcript of the chat to myself to use as evidence of cancellation with my credit card company should I still be charged and wish to dispute the payments.

I placed my order after reading a write up via a link on the Metcheck weather website. I wish I'd found this website first. I got annoyed when I'd finished placing my order and found that I'd been signed up for the 'Insider Secret tips' website and the 'Weight Loss eBook Membership website - neither of which I remember saying I wanted. However, unlike some of the comments on this forum, an on-line chat operator gave me these numbers both of which I've rung (so they do exist) but as yet don't know if the cancellation has worked: [protected] to cancel the Weight loss -book package and [protected] to cancel the insider secrets package. I'm going to go back now and get a number to stop my complete order after reading about the difficulty some people have had cancelling the 3-monthly $58.76 subscription. I was also annoyed that after being told I was eligible for 'Ultimate shipping package' which promised free postage and insurance I had to pay$14.90!

GETTING OUT OF THE SCAM!

If you get caught with this scam, do the following to get out:

For the "free" memberships (pretty easy):

1) Cancel the additional memberships immediately. Call the numbers on the bottom of the screen, which are:
*[protected] Comprehensive Weight Loss E-book Package (Shows on statement as Membership)
*[protected] Insider Secrets To Weight Loss (Shows on statement as Web Access Fee)

2) Make sure to write down and save your cancellation numbers.

For ACAIburn (much more difficult):

1) Talk to an online chat person. Get them to tell you that they will not charge you for anything and will do a full cancellation of your order. Repeat that you DO NOT want the product shipped. Say it over and over again. You want NO CHARGES and you DO NOT want the product to ship. Make sure that they tell you that that is possible if you call the cancellation number. Email that to yourself.

2) Call the cancellation number and ask to talk to a supervisor after they tell you that they have to send the product out and cannot cancel the shipment or charges.
*[protected] AcaiBurn (Shows on statement as AcaiBurn)

3) Tell the supervisor that you were told in no uncertain terms that you could fully cancel the shipment and all charges. Offer to email him/her the transcript of the chat (which you have emailed to yourself). Refuse to get off the phone while they check the email.

If it works for you like it works for me, they will do a "master cancel" of your account. This means that they will ship the product, but will not charge you. They will also not require you to send the bottle back after you use your sample. According to the floor manager I spoke with, I will not get charged for anything. I triple checked and then took his name and ID.

Crossing my fingers. Ugh. I feel like an idiot.

I booked the free trial today before readng the reviews and I wasn't happy about the auto ship arrangment. I have just cancelled everyting via the live chat, further shipments and the e-book package, but it looks as though I will have to take delivery of and be charged for the trial sample. I'm ok with that because I do want to try Acai but was worried about furhter charges. I have been told by the live chat operatoor that my card details, e-mail address and telephone numbers are wiped from thier system when you cancle. Regarding the e-book packeage, the operator may give you a telephone number to call to cancle, I suppose they rely on people forgetting to, but I asked to cancel on line and it was done no problem.

HI,
Read your complaint and would advise you to contact your credit card company and explain the situation. Hopefully you obtained a cancellation ID number from the agent which you should give to your card company as proof you cancelled the order. In the unlikely event that your card company is not helpful (they usually are in situations like this) then you should report your card has been misued and request your account is closed and request a new credit card and account number. Viv3 will then be unable to take a payment as your old card number will no longer be valid. I live in the UK and I advised my local trading standards officer of their trading practices which although are not illegal are at the very least not transparent and up front with how the information on trades and conditrions is presented. I would imagine that you have a similar organisation to deal with customer concerns and complaints in the U.S. Anyway good luck and hopefully you get it all sorted out

This ACAIX3 is a SCAM! I purchased the free trial and when I went to cancel it, I realized that the company doesn't post on their website ANYTHING about where to call to cancel your membership. When I finally got a hold of their 800 number, they had already charged me the next months supply of $88.55! And I hadn't even received the free trial yet! The guy at the custimer service number gave me such an attitude because I wanted to cancel my membership and how they had already charged me the $88.55 so I would have to send back the "unused" portion (funny because I hadn't even strated the free trial) and they would issue me a refund. All he could do was cancel any further billings, which I did. Upon receiving the product, I called their company IMMEDIATELY and got the information for sending the unused portion back. The girl, this time, at the customer service number told me that I had to OPEN the mailing package and put my order number on the bottle as well as putting the order number on the OUTSIDE of the package because I wouldn't be able to get my money back. I did EXACTLY as she told me to do. You know what? That was May 21, 2017. Today is June 24, 2017. I STILL HAVEN'T GOTTEN MY MONEY BACK! Now they give me the run around and tell me that they supposedly processed it back to my account and that I need to call my bank and find out why it's not in my account. They (Acaix3 Company) also stated that other than that they can no longer do anything for me! I just got off the phone w/ my bank (TD Banknorth) and they guy was real nice and told me that they are starting a dispute for those charges. He also said that NOTHING has been posted from the Acaix3 company to refund any amount of money to my account.

Please let everyone know that this company is nothing but a SCAM! It is nothing but a fraud and I am so upset that I got suckered into their stupid hoax! Because that's exactly what it is! A HOAX! And Rachel Ray and Oprah should be ASHAMED of themselves for even promoting such a company on their shows.

Well, everything started when I got an e-mail from Acai Burn.I been interesting in lossing weigth and thought it could of been a great idea to get some supplementary pills.Anyways, I knew I had a FREE trial for 14days and I had a 60 day FULL MONEY BACK GUARANTEE. I gave them my checkings account # and at first I was charged with the $4.95 for shipping and handle(05/25/09)which I knew.I had resived my product on the o5/23/09.Then on the 06/01/09 was charged with $59.95.From the date I had resived my product to the date I was charged for $59.95 wasn't a 14day trial. Also, I had a charged of $58.76(06/12/09) for a product that I never place an order or resive product.I had try to call Acai Burn and e-mail them didn't work out. I had to call my bank to let them know that Acai Burn was taking money out of my account and a banker was able to contact them.I just need to return the product which DOESN'T work back to AcaiBurn P.O Box 10233 Des Moins, IA 50381.I hope that no more people get SCAM.

The address is P.O. Box 10233 Des Moines, IA 50381. I spoke to someone about sending mine back for a refund and Nicholas gave me an order number. He told me that I had to have this on the package. I suggest you call [protected] before you send it back. He also told me to insure the package, which only cost a dollar. I was also being charged by my bank for overseas currency exchange. Apparently the company is overseas yet the address is for Iowa. If anyone finds out how to get our money returned please fill me in.

Hun, I totally agree that Acai Burn is a scam. I only wish I had seen all this information befor I made the purchase, as I am sure you feel the same. But please do not leave all of your information that you had placed in your post online for the world to see. It is not safe to have your whole name, address, and phone number out there for the whole world for many more reason that just one.

You have to call the 3 international numbers in the confirmation emails to stop/cancel all the payments going out of your account. 001-[protected], 001-[protected] and [protected] (these int codes are if you ringing from uk). If you ring in the afternoon GMT time they should answer. I have just rang them myself.

I received my product well after the " trial offer" so therefore had no chance of cancelling this bogus system of debiting peoples credit cards for NO service at all.

I have disputed the charges WITH MY FINANCE PROVIDER AND I WILL NOT BE PAYING FOR THEM, I also alerted the Australian Federal Police ( who were actually investigating it) of the trap of the " memebership fees" . Clicking a button does not constitute a valid membership in eyes of the law- check your facts Acai Burn.

Under legal terminology they are not validated for which this company is about to find out.

I have been charged a total of USD 346.00 over 2 months in " memebership fees" FOR WHAT! I agree we pay for the service provided, the Acai Burn I was happy to pay for ...but the rest NOT.

[protected] is the number you should call. They will answer i just called them this morning to cancell my order..However they wont take the charges off your card because supposedly your order has been shipped but then they can't give you a tracking number. A tracking number is generated when an order is shipped but when you catch them up in this they will say well it might be shipped out if it's not it's an automatic thing we can't stop it. Then if you ask for a supervisor they will give you a coorperate address. THEY ARE HORRIBLE!

I had no idea that the scam was so big. I was just assuming that their administration was inept and just ran in circles when it came to cancelling customers accounts. I was charged for a 'free' trial and then a further 3 months supply wihtout having received any product at all! and this was all after I had cancelled it! So I was no longer being charged for the product, But now I've discovered this hidden CW Membership crap and realised they're actually very unhanded and criminal! My bank was quite helpful and have disputed the transactions and also blocked the card for 15 days so I can sort it out. Luckily for me I used a card that was my fallback emergency card and can afford the inconvenience of having it blocked or even cancelled if it comes to that. The card number that Acaiburn have won't even exist anymore. I'm so angry that I was taken for a ride and they stole so much money from me but think I will have to cut my losses and run. I really hope you can all sort yours out.

Hi there! I agree that the advertising was worded to just suck us in and unfortunately this happened to me.I did not read all the details of the CONDITIONS and so am still getting monthly charges WEB ACCESS and MEMBERSHIP of varying ammounts from US$ 6.96 to US29.95 FOR NOTHING!

The numbers to call to cancel these charges are :
[protected] for Acai burn
[protected] fo Insider Secrets
and [protected] for the ebook package THEY ARE RATHER HARD TO GET ON TO AND I WAS CHARGED TO TELSTR FOR THE CALL WHICH WAS STATED AS BEIGN TOLL FREE.

I have an email address for Acai burn customerservice@netalab.com . they were very helpful and nnow i am trying to call insider Secrets. No luck so far.
Hope this helps you and i am sorry that we were 'sucked in'. NEVER AGAIN.

im in the middle of this same situation right now! this is terrible! this company should be sued! free tiral! free trail my ###! its 4.95 for the free trial billed directly to your account. if you dont like the pills you have to send them back within the 14days! and if you dont your billed 59.95 for the bills that are a free trial! whats free about that! who ever is running this scam should be sued! and im very upset. i talked to several people on the phone to get out of this but what do you know billed 59.95 on my credit card for pills that did nothing at all! and by the way billed for a free trial of pills in just insane! i hope this company goes down. the way it sounds is that even if you cancell your account your still billed and its impossible to get your money back.

thanks . Amanda. (alwaysasweetie023@yahoo.com)

I ordered the first trial bottle back in February, they charged me for it, and then a few weeks later (before the "trial period" was even up) they charged my card again for the full price of the next order of the product. And then they didn't even ship it for 2 months AFTER they charged me, so I couldn't even return it when they made the charge. I finally got the new bottles yesterday, and now today they've taken money for the NEXT installment. Is there a way to block them from making charges on my credit card? I don't know how to cancel this but I can't afford to have someone taking money from me randomly.
