I ordered package two which clearly states in the terms and conditions that it does NOT come with a membership and is one time charge, but they signed me up for the weightloss ebook package and insider secret tips package that have a fee every month. after talking to an online chat person she gave me two phone numbers to call to cancel both of those but the numbers dont exist. I then told her that if I could not cancel those I wanted to cancel my entire order. They sent a refund receipt to my email address and hopefully it will not have charged.
Stay away from these companies. They will hide behind other names and products. Be very, very careful. These companies are scams and cheats.

I got it (i'm not convinced it's human) to cancel those two fees too, and it, like the one before, is now assuring me that i won't recieve any more charges for anything...

People stop letting the sites rip you off. Just purchase a 25 dollar Pre Paid Visa and use that card to purchase your free trial products. Let them try and charge the card after that. If the product works for you then give them your real credit card number. The pre paid visa will save you some time and a whole lot of money. I use this card with many different free offers products. Make sure you screen shot the Free trail policy and cancel within the 14 day period. These companies are not shipping a product until the payment clears on your credit card. Pre Paid stops all that. Make sure you have no more than 25 dollars on the card.
If these people were truly honest, they would not place pop-up timers limiting the amount of time you have to read the terms and conditions, as well as NOT charge you for a month's worth of the pills, AND the "free trial" shipping on the same day, nonetheless, like they have myself. $1.95 rush shipping special AND $59.95 Acai Burn both pending within 5 minutes of placing "free trial" offer. Nowhere did I see that they were going to charge both at once, otherwise I would not have placed in my information.
As for those people calling others bad names, and using opulent language, just for something we do not fully understand, it's not a good practice. Some companies pay people to bash others profusely when sending bad messages about said company, just so they can get more sales. Most of these websites just have information that is falsely buffed in their favor, saying "we can do this" or "they can't do this, " omitting anything saying something bad about the product, or even copying information about another product and saying it is fully about this one. Honestly, that's not honest or respectful in any case.
Amy, I truly understand where you are coming from. These people are not trying to do honest business, otherwise they would have 24-hour helplines, and live chat people, not pre-recorded bs web-bots that just try to push sales, or non-working numbers in some areas.
If anyone searching for this product reads this, please DON'T GET THE TRIAL, it'll be more of a headache if you do. Go to GNC or VitaminShoppe, or some other local retailer and just purchase the berries, or equal supplement to try it out. Don't get scammed like us and so many others have.
I had NEVER HEARD OF THIS PRODUCT. I didn't want it. I was charged for it UNKNOWINGLY. They somehow hacked into my information - i NEVER signed up for this membership or trial or whatever it is. I did NOT order this product. In fact, I had never even HEARD of it -- until I noticed I was being charged for it in my bank account. But somehow this scam of a company, Acai Burn, accessed my card information and charged me SEVERAL times. Of course, I went straight to my bank to sort it out. I had to cancel my card, wait a week for a new one, only to discover that Acai Burn had squeezed out another charge from me before my card actually closed. I was, and still am, outraged. If the product is as good as the company states then it would offer a FREE TRIAL but as it is crap they have to charge the earth. I just signed up for the pills today. They do tell you that you are getting signed up for trials with their partner companies. I can't really call this a scam, they aren't lying to you, they are just being less that _blatantly_ forthcoming. I think of this as buying a new computer, and then getting tons of bloatware with it, the difference being this "bloatware" activates itself and you start getting charged :P. In short, do your homework and you'll be okay, _everything_ is in the fine print.

Be sure to take down the names of the people you are dealing with as well as your cancellation numbers, sometimes database update errors happen. Also, don't be belligerent when talking to the agents; people are _much_ more likely to help you if you are friendly on the phone (I used to be tech support).
They rip you off in the fact they dont state their facts on the sheet clearly. Call the number to cancel and they will cancel it for you no hassle. My best advice would be to cancel your credit or debit card you origionally paid with. Or DO NOT ORDER THE PRODUCT. Way more hassle than its worth.
I'm tempted to cancel my credit card (I got screwed over, too), but if I do and they try to refund me, I won't get my money back, will I?
Oh, and as for the two 'ebooks' or whatever it is they call it...the person at my bank suggested calling them AGAIN and pretending as though I had not called and cancelled. That way, if it actually had been cancelled, when I called to cancel again it would say that it had already been cancelled...if they went ahead and cancelled it on the second phone call, then it would mean that it had NOT been cancelled the first time.

I have to say I sniffed a scam during the conversation. I had enquired by internet and then they phoned me (in Canada). I went for the $4.95 deal and at least three times tried to make sure that I would be not charged the $59.99 if I cancelled in my case, 21 days or so they said. A Samantha Weaver (if such a person exists) assured me that would NOT happen. I didn't trust the whole thing so called after the trial package arrived to cancel. Of course they were still going to take the $59.99. I argued to no avail of course, but where is the free trial then? So, I had to call Visa and change my card so they can't get at it. I've learned my lesson.
And to "Happy Acai" who said "No. 1 - If you weren't so lazy, you would have been able to read the terms and conditions and know that the company is on the level. None of you should be pissed off at the company. You should all know that when ever you enter a credit card/bank information on a free trial advertisement, they are doing it to screw you of your money. Yes they are scammers for doing it, but you shouldn't be an dumb ### for falling for it.

Yes, this is definitely a scam, a big fat scam that's happened to myself. I was led, misled to believe that I would only incur a shipping charge of $4.25 even when I have chosen the option Country Australia but got charged about $24 instead, which I didn't even mind. It states that if I want to cancel and send back the free trial, I can do it only after 14 days. There isn't any stipulations of any on going charges, just a free trial and no mention of ### membership we get automatically enrolled into.
I was furious as obviously it's a ### product as I lost more weight without taking any of their tablets by just eating smaller potions and doing exercises. Imagine my surprise when my credit card statement with entries appearing for some memberships crap. The customer officers were really rude and not helpful at all when I complained and they told me it's in the Terms and Condition but it's all a pack of lies. I tried calling the 2 membership phone lines to cancel the so-called membership but to no avail as no one ever answers and it's gone through to voicemail everytime. The website they gave you is totally useless seeing it's just some stupid pages with the books to download but no contact info or any other useful info apart from the same number I was given to call for the cancellation of the membership which I have signed up unwittingly!
I have sent my parcel back and hopefully will get my refund of $59.95 in 2 weeks time. They even got the cheek to insist we pay more money to send it via UPS or FedEX with tracking codes and delivery confirmation even though it took them over 2 and half weeks for the parcel to reach me instead of the recommended 4-7 days!
Please all spread the words this is Pure and Simple Big Fat Scam and shut this whole thing down once and for all!

I have cancelled my card for my bank account and it still WON'T stop them getting their money as the bank sends a cancellation form that will take 31 days to implement! If Acai Burn put in a request for another £41 for the next months supply, I will have to pay it and if there are no funds available in my account, I will be charged for going overdrawn!
Acai Burn have taken three lots of money totalling approx £81 and I only signed up for the one off 30 day trial at $24.95 (£18.33) on March 17th.

I was duped by the Acai Burn company's free trial too, but I tried my hardest to cancel the order. By using this complaints website, I was able to get the information I needed to cancel the order.
I live in the UK, so I had to use a different extension for the phone call:

I spoke to a charming lady called Gail B, and she explained everything to me clearly. As it wasn't a same day cancellation, I wasn't able to stop the first shipment, but she cancelled the auto-shipping which meant that they would not try to send me the item again. Though I still have to pay $59.95 for the first bottle, there is a 60-day guarantee whereby if I send it back, I will get fully refunded.
I also requested that she cancel the 'additional' memberships that I would be charged for, and she did so for me.
I'm not sure whether everything has gone according to plan so far, as I can't see any damage done to my bank account yet, but hopefully, when all this is done, I'll only have paid for the P&P.

I too have been tricked by these stupid AcaiBurn wankers. I'm from NZ so it's bloody hard rying to get hold of them. My fix-it? Cancelled my card and asked the bank to send me a new one. HOPEFULLY that works. Have never come across such a nasty advertising ploy before.
Not to mention all those other charges people mentioned there is also a "comprehensive weight loss" company that charges you 9.99/m as well. I too canceled my membership with acai burn.. didn't even open the bottle returned it to them before the 14 day trial and noticed some "membership" charges for the past 2 months. So I called to find out what they were and it was this company i had never heard of before who said I enrolled in this program when I signed up for acai burn. Rediculous, and they are not refunding my money.
I ordered this item on the 4th March 2009 and still not received anything cannot get hold of a telephone number that works they have taken 3 lots of money out of my bank account and I cannot contact them to see where my order is please help.
They are a scam. The only way to stop the charges was to cancel your credit card immediately.I had to do that and the product never arrived and I was charged $25 for shipping. What a con!
