Acai Berry Cannot Cancel- no working contact numbers

I ordered a trial shipment which was to cost 4.95. A few days later I received a 30 day supply which was charged to my credit card for $89.31. The phone numbers they provide for questions, returns, cancellations, etc. are not working numbers. Also, no address was listed.

I have cancelled my credit card however, I must pay the $89.31 charge.

I have learned a valuable lesson. I will NEVER order anything else on line. For those reputable companies, I apologize as I no longer trust anyone enough to provide a credit card number.

Acai Berry Fraud

The site offers free samples for the cost of shipping. You are then enrolled into a monthly account and your credit card is charged for $89.31 plus an ISA FEE of $ .71 cents . Upon calling IP CELEBRITYFITSITE [protected] you are told that you were given 14 days to cancel this enrollment. No where was this info of enrollment easy to see or find on the url site. There was no indication at all that any enrollment was available and that you had 14 days to cancel. On my charge card statement the original sample was charged to me under the name YOUR VIP FIT [protected] UT for $3.95. The receipt I printed out has another phone # [protected]
Upon talking to a representative of Extreme Acai. Com I was told that the information was on the site under there terms and conditions this is the url for the info http://www.acai-berry.com/help.php?section=conditions

Ordered a free trial of acaiberry and agreed to pay shipping cost of $4.96. on the 14th.Nov2008 my credit card was billed on the 17th. Nov 2008 for $4.96 and 113.86 on the 30th of Nov 2008. I phoned the company after I received credit card statement but company told me tough luck but will cancel future orders. I want my money refunded for the amount billed on the 30th. for these reasons.

1. I have not received any products billed for on the 30th. and I did not order any product other than the free trial
2. the company I ordered from was a canadian company and not the one that claimed to have sent me and billed me on the 17th. Nov. and 01st Dec 2008 3. I was not aware of the agreement for future billing even though you do not want the product as this was not shown on the website I ortdered from.
4. there is no email to contact these people and they are not answering their phone

ORDERED PRODUCT OFF OF INTERNET, COMPANY STATED IN ORDER FORM I WOULD ONLY BE CHARGED FOR SHIPING
OF 3.95, BUT SAME DAY THEY CHARGED ME 69.95 ALSO, CALLED THE CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER ONLY TO HEAR A RECORDING THAT THE COMPANY IS RECEIVING HIGH CALL VOLUME AND TO CALL BACK LATER, OVER 50 ATTEMPTS TO CALL AND SAME RECORDING. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! FRAUD IS WHAT THEY ARE SELLING! THERE SHOULD BE SOMEONE BLOCKING THESE INTERNET SIGHTS THAT GET MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS FROM CONSUMERS!

I ordered a free trial excluding £2.52 shipping cost from the website. I have not received my trial packet and the company has already charged me for a months cost of $83.00 I have tried many times to ring the number given to cancel but there is only a recorded message asking to call later. I have lost my money and am very upset about the company charging me without deliverying the goods. I would like my money refunded and the fruad of the company exposed. I trusted them in good faith but i regret terribly now. What is sad is that this will put me and a lot of other people like myself from doing business with other companies over the internetr that are honest companies but I'd be once bitten now.

I also ordered a sample bottle, paying $3.95 for S& H. I ordered because I read that Opra W. had good review of the product. I would never have ordered had I not read her name. I received the bottle 3 weeks after I put in the order. I don't even remember reading the refund policy. I was on the internet reading the reviews about Extreme AcaiBerry because I was going to e-mail the company about not receiving the product. I was shocked at all the bad reviews. I went back and read the refund policy. Once, I read it, I felt I was screwed. I hadn't recieved the product and my 14 days were up. I had already been charged the $89.31 to my credit card. I received the 11 tables of AcaiBerry. It was like eating candy. They didn't do a thing. I did get through to the company to cancel any further orders but I was still charged the $89.31. Don't waste your hard earned retirment money on this product. It doesn't work! At least it didn't work for me. My weight is 135. I wanted it as a cleansing system. Yes, they are Crooks!

I ordered a sample bottle, paying a $3.95 for shipping over a month ago and recieved a small quantity. Today I received a large bottle without any documentation with it. Upon calling [protected] and finding out in the small print of terms and conditions it states you have to call and cancel your membership after the sample bottle trial period or you will be sent a bottle every month and charged $89.99. They are a no refund/no return company but he offered to refund me 1/2 price. I closed my account and had to also get in touch with my credit card company to dispute the charge. Crooks!

Acai Berry credit card fraud

I ordered a sample bottle of the acai berry. Before I even finished it, a month's supply arrived, and then my credit card bill arrived with nearly $75.00 charged on it. I went back to the website and read the terms where they would send a month's supply every month, so I quickly unsubscribed my order. I unsubscribed my order numerous times just to be sure I was unsubscribed. Today I received another bill with $5.87 to this company, so I called my credit card company and told them that I had agreed to pay the $75.00 charge, because that was my stupidity, but I was not paying this company one more cent. She informed me that they had already charged another $5.87 to my next month's bill. I am disputing it and will not pay it.

Acai Berry Charging for product

I purchased a trial for 5.95. It states that they will charge 88.00 after 15 days. I bought it on September 26th and on Oct 6th they withdrew 88.00. They also sent me-without my asking a bottle of "Total Cleanse" and said if I did not send it back they will charge 78.00 to my account. So, it is not a "Free Trial" and they take the money faster than you can send anything back. I have sat on the phone for over 2 hours on hold at a time with their customer service number.

To all the complaints against acai berry supreme, total cleanse, etc. you may go to the FTC or the FBI that this companies are quite ### swindle. I used to work in this company but it makes me sick to think that I'm a part of their rip off program here in the Philippines. Actually they have an outsourcing company here in the Philippines and it is located in Merchants Bank building Makati city, Philippines. This company is pathetic.

I wish I would have done some research before making this huge mistake! I too have made numerous attempts at contacting the company and canceling any future products being sent but they have ignored all of my messages and charged my credit card $88.62 & $94.57 within 3 days of each other for products which I did NOT order. I emailed them prior to the dates of charges to cancel "membership". No one ever answers phone #'s or email messages. WHAT can I do? HELP!

I just received my Free trial today, which is 8 days after my initial order. I also canceled my order today and was told that it would be removed from further shipments. Along with the Acai Berry Supreme, I ordered the Colon Cleanse. I was charged, but got no conformation number. I don't even know who to call to cancel my order. Can anyone help me?

I also have been scammed by these people. I ordered Acai Berry Supreme "free trial" on Dec. 16th and did not recieve the product until Dec. 29th. On Jan. 2 they charged my bank account $88.00. The first time I called to get a refund and explained the situation they said they would credit my bank account. Now it is February 3rd and still no credit. When I called the second time to complain, cancel my order, and ask for a refund they advised me that the 14 days start from the day the product was shipped. How can you try a product for 14 days if you don't recieve it for the first 13 days of the "free trial"? This is not a true "free trial".

under the chapter of Sections of Law   Section of Law 66 of Information Technology Act 2000 & 120(B),
420, 467, 468, 471 IPC.
The assistant manager (the complainant) with the fraud control unit of a large business process outsourcing (BPO) organization filed a complaint alleging that two of its employees had conspired with a card holder to manipulate the credit limit and as a result cheated the company of INR 0.72 million.

The BPO facility had about 350 employees. Their primary function was to issue the bank’s credit cards as well as attend to customer and merchant queries. Each employee was assigned to a specific task and was only allowed to access the computer system for that specific task. The employees were not allowed to make any changes in the credit-card holder’s account unless they received specific approvals.

Each of the employees was given a unique individual password. In case they entered an incorrect password three consecutive times then their password would get blocked and they would be issued a temporary password.

The company suspected that its employees conspired with the son (holding an add-on card) of one of the credit card holders. The modus operandi suspected by the client is as follows.

The BPO employee deliberately keyed in the wrong password three consecutive times (so that his password would get blocked) and obtained a temporary password to access the computer system. He manually reversed the transactions of the card so that it appeared that payment for the transaction has taken place. The suspect also changed the credit card holder’s address so that the statement of account would never be delivered to the primary card holder.

The BPO was informed of the security lapse in the software utilized. Armed with this evidence the investigating team arrested all the accused and recovered, on their confession, six mobile phones, costly imported wrist watches, jewels, electronic items, . Leather accessories, credit cards, all worth INR 0.3 million and cash INR 25000. The investigating team informed the company of the security lapses in their software so that instances like this could be avoided in the future.

I too have got caught up in this scam! but I called the number:1-866-[protected] before they charged me and yes you have to call this number at least 20 times before you can get through. Then I was put on hold for about 20 minutes! Well I finally talked to a rep and I said cancell the subscription that I DID NOT sign up for! So they cancelled it and once I got home from work my bottle of Acai Berry(which is not a good source of the Acai Berry) was there.

If you want to get REAL Acai Berry prouducts then go to: http://www.sambazon.com/

they also sell the Prouducts in stores around your home. Check out the website that place is NOT a scam! It's real and true!

Acai Berry I ordered a sample of arci berry and was told i'd pay 3.95 for shipping. nothing else. they billed my credit card for 89.31

I ordered a small bottle of acai berry and they told me that I would only pay 3.95 for shipping and handling for a sample bottle to try. Today I looked on my on line statement and they billed me for $89.31. I called and explained to them I didn't order anything else and I got billed for 89.31 and I wanted it taken off my credit card and he said he couldn't do that. I said I want to talk to your supervisor he said he was the supervisor and hung up on me. I'm calling my credit card company to get it taken off my statement and let them deal with them.
This is a scam.

I received my statement and £74.03 has been debited for Focuscleanse and Natureberry; all I had to pay was £3.95 shipping and I received a bottle of colon cleanse and Acai berry. They made me feel unwell and I never ordered any more. Am trying to sort out with credit card. Can't believe what I have read above! Wish I knew of this site before ordering! Don't suppose there is much point of telephoning the companies.

My name is Veronica and I just like everyone else ordered the Acai berry and the colon cleanser, I didn't receive the AcaiBerry until the 6th day after the trail date started. I was able to reach someone but only after I did alot of research and found an e-mail address to send an e-mail to. I was told that they couldn't refund my money and I was charged the full amount 7 days after the order, which meant I only had 2 actual days to try the product, they now ask me to send a copy of PO order number, which of course I never recieved and also the terms of the agreement which I also never received. As for the colon cleanser I have been charged three times and yet to see a product. I am going to my bank and dispute this charges as a scam and fraud hopefully my bank can resolve this mess for me.

Phyliss (and anyone else who is looking for quality product without the hassel)

I am newly hired by gnc (well known fitness stores nationwide). I had a couple come in looking for acai, stating they heard something online about it helps with weight loss. my manager told me that although the antioxidents are good to take overall (especially when dieting) the affects of acai really do not offer enough weight loss effect on their own. (and you should really make sure what your getting is actually acai & not some subtitute as one of the previous complaints stated what was supposed to be acai was actually some form of mustard)

However, if you are interested in quality product, no follow up orders (unless you place them) stop into your local gnc store or go to gnc.com (where you can order products to be shipped to you directly if you like). at gnc we stand behind our products with a 30 day guarentee. just hold onto your receipt & you can return your product used or unused (as long as it isn't gone) for an exchange or refund. this is one way to make sure you like the product, it is what it claims to be & it works. gnc also offers a gold card discount program which costs $15 to set up, but covers you for a year. the day you set up the card, you save 20% on anything in the store that you buy, then you get that same savings the first week of every month, allowing you to refill your monthly vitamin/supliment supplies as needed at a reduced cost. I know gnc carries a variety of acai products (in pill, liquid & chewable forms). I sincerely believe this is a much better option than giving your credit card to some faceless entity who doesn't care about you, only getting your money.

I knew the company would charge my credit card on a m0nthly basis and I let them do this because I thought that 14 days was not really enough time to see if Acai Berry would really work. Well I am here to tell you that I tried i4 bottles and did not lose one single pound. I ended up having to change my charge card # after filing a complaint with the charge card company that I was unable to reach anyone at Acai Berry to cancel the product. Why is it that all these companies charge this way. Why can't you just order one bottle whenever you need it without having to get a monthly auto ship. Is this because these companies know that the diet pills--skin creames and makeup they are selling really do not work and try to steal as much money as they can before you wise up to their worthless products? I am Still looking for a good honest and realiable comapny that sells a working product one bottle at a time..

This company has caused me nothing but grief. I orderd the " free" sample and payed for the shipping/handling charge which was on my credit card. Next thing I know I recieved another bottle of acaiberry which was charged to my credit card unauthorized. When I called this company they said I could not return it and basically too bad. I told them to stop this and I want my card credited, they said it was too late. Called my credit card co. and told them of this unauthorized charge and that I will not pay for this. They have been very helpful, ; however, I had to go through the process of filling out a dispute form. About two weeks later received another bottle of acaiberry which once again my card was debited. Again called my credit card co. and they told me they would take care of this matter and that every time a dispute is against a company such as this they are fined. I said very good. It is my recommendation that if this is happening to you dispute it. We can't let this company get away with this.

Acai Berry I was charged 79.76 for a bottle of pills I did not order.

I ordered a sample bottle with 10 pills in for 4.87. It was charged to my Visa account. Then I receive another bottle in the mail that I did NOT request. I tried calling the company with no results. No one answers the phones. Then I tried the web site and once again... nothing there. They charged me another 79.76 that I did NOT approve for them to do. There was no address to return shipment of product I did not want. I want to get my money back and have no idea how to do so. I do not want them to be charging my account 80.00 every month for something I did not order. Please help.

Acai Berry unauthorized charge

Ordered on 8-1-08 free trial of Pure Acai Berry backed by Oprah as a great diet and health aid- they send a bottle of 6 pills and 2 weeks later they send a bottle never telling you the actual price. On 8-18-08 I was billed $74.76 . I called the 888 number and was told due to the volume my wait will be 35 minutes or I can leave my name. Called 10 times- all 35 minute wait- called on three phones :} So I decided to leave a message- voice mail full? Then then in 21 days I get another package and this I will return. The company also tries to send you to their web site www.gohealthnow.com none existant. Do not order and do not buy. Kim Lawrence

Oh my gosh.. I have never in my life be so frustrated with such a scam.. I am 56 years old and have never experienced something like this...Thanks to the person that gave us instructions to cancel...It was perfect...I didn't even have any information to contact them...What can we do to get our money back? My credit card was charged for the sample and then for another shipment and I have only received the sample...I have contacted the Better Business Bureau, but at the time I contacted them, I have very little information to give them...

Acai Berry sent more product and charged more than i wanted

Ordered a sample of PureAcaiBerry for the price of $1.87 for shipping. Yesterday I received a bottle of 60. Upon checking my credit card statement, i discovered that i am being charged $79.00 for this bottle of pills. I am furious, that they have my credit card info, and can do this. And to think I had discussed this with someone before ordering, asking if they thought it was a legitimate thing to do! I will sure know better next time.

I strongly suggest that people close their accounts immediately they realise they've been caught up in this scam. I spoke to my bank and we agreed it was the best thing to do. I also went to the police, who weren't much/couldn't help, but have sent a scam report to the UK government consumer site, and they'll pass it on to Trading Standards.
Closing your account down is a pain, but it's the only safe way to ensure these ### don't get their hands on (any more of) your money. If it's going to take a day or two to be finalised, then make sure your bank blocks your card, too. For me, it's been a lesson I will never forget. We keep getting told to be careful with our bank details, and I know now how careful I have to be!

I agreed to receive a free trial of Acai 500, little did I know that they were going to take that information and then charge me anywhere from $75 - $90 almost every week for a monthly supply of pills that I did not agree to receive or to be charged for...let alone know the price, the actual name of the company, the website address or the 800#. They provide you with little information so they collect as much money from you up front as possible before you can track them down. They will then try to dispute your claims and say that you agreed to the "membership." Be sure to save, PDF or print the screen from the pages you ordered the trial from. Otherwise, they will try to show you a different page that actually has a disclaimer on it telling you that you need to cancel within 7 days or they'll charge you $80 for each shipment. Of course, you never saw this page when you were ordering. I saved this pages that do not have this disclaimer info. on it and hope it is enough to dispute their lies and fraud.

I bought the trial bottle of Acai Berry thinking I was only paying shipping and handling. Now I am signed up for some fitness program for $29.95 per month and I never even signed up with them. I never received anything saying I was signed up, just a charge on my debit card, after I ordered the Acai Berry order. What can I do to stop this and get my money back? No hope reaching them by phone, I have e-mailed them, awaiting a reply now. any suggestions?

My story is like all the others. Never even got the trial product until 14 days--exactly--after I ordered. Then read the fine print in the slip they enclosed in the order, notifying me that I had agreed to have my credit card charged $89.31 automatically for future shipments. I immediately began calling the cancellation number they gave, and it would either ring busy or get a message that "all circuits are busy--try again later". After a morning of trying to call to cancel, I realized I had been had. I phoned my credit card company, and indeed there was a pending charge of $89.31 waiting. My credit card company told me they couldn't do anything until it was actually charged, but she made notes in my record she said would help in disputing the charge later. In reading through others' stories, I used the [protected] number "Sandra" had posted --- and I actually got someone on the phone. She claimed it was her first day there and she sounded a bit clueless, but she did state she would cancel the subscription and refund my account -- which should take around 14 days to appear. She did give me a confirmation number when I asked for one. I hope this works, but I'm not feeling very confident. I plan to phone my credit card company back again tomorrow and discuss canceling the card. (Thanks, Sandra, for posting that number!)

I did not authorize a sum of $82.31 be taken from my credit card account. The website offered a 30 day free trial of Acai Berry for the sum of $3.95 shipping charge, I called their number from the website and cancelled any other shipments before I received the Acai Berry. I specificly told the person I spoke with that I was not interested in this product. The individual that I spoke with assured me that no other shipments would be sent and I was placed on the cancelation list.

My name is Mike Morrell from Guthrie Center Iowa. I have orderd a free trial of the Extreme AcaiBerry tabs. Then twice I have receievd a 60 tabs that I did not understand why until I checked my bank statement today for this month and realized that $29.95 was deducted out of my account. The first bottle I received was 60 tabs but thought wow, that is alot for a free trial. About a week later, I receievd a 14 tabs bottle and could n't figure out if this was an error or what. Then I received nother 60 tabs last week and thought they better not be charging me for this because I have not authorize them to do so. Then today I did realized that they are charging me for this that I did not recall signing up for unless there was a scam that I didn't realize. Will stop at bank to notif them not to deduct money from my account from now on.

Back in October, I clicked on an ad, which was advertied on myspace.com, about this acai berry weightloss story, and it then took me to www. extremeacaiberry.com, and I ordered my trial bottle for 3.95 for shipping charges. I had a 14 day trial period that I had to call to cancel if i did not want to be charged 89.31 for another bottle. I never received an email confirmation in regards to my trial bottle. Furthermore, I never recieved my trial bottle. I was recently charged $89.31 on my current billing statement. I tried numberous times to call the phone number listed on my credit card statement and it is always busy or I am on hold for 20 minutes at a time. This is a scam and needs to be taken care of quickly.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I have recently requested a trial bottle of Extreme Acai berry. I have received this and though nothing of it. About 7 days ago, I received a second bottle that I did not order. I am unable to find the original website that I ordered the trial bottle from to check if I had to cancel within a specific time period to prevent a second bottle from being sent and paying the full price. This is not my concern. I will simply cancel my debit card to stop all future payments.

Since placing my order I have started to receive unsolicited e mails from American companies claiming that I can earn thousands of dollars a day. I have not contacted these companies. What they are sending is S.P.A.M.

This is recognised as a computer crime world wide. The only way that they could have obtained my e mail address is through the company selling my e mail or the server/webmaster passing it on without the original company knowing.

Most of the companies that send these e mails have an option to ‘unsubscribe‘. This is done by way of a link supplied in the e mail.

Yesterday I received yet another e mail and tried to ‘unsubscribe’ using the link given. This was where my problem started. This took me straight to a very explicit porn site. Each and every time I tried to exit the site it took me to another. I tried for 2 hours to exit all the site without success. I tried turning the computer off at the power source yet when the computer started up it returned automatically to the sites. I have had to enter my computer via DOS to reboot the system and will have to give my computer to an engineer to try and clear the memory.

I will be passing this letter on with all the details that I obtained from the sites to our computer crime desk at the Police station where I work. I will be asking for a complete investigation into what has happened which I have no doubt will lead to enquiries with the company.

Regards

Steve Randall

Acai Berry Acai Berry product charges

8/8/2008 Via their website I authorized a charge to my AMEX to try their product (acai berry) for free - just pay shipping ($4.87). I have received the product and determined through my doctor that I cannto take it due to an increase in vitamin K.
I have since been charged and additional $74.76 and $5.87 for products I have not ordered or authorized to be charged on my AMEX card. I have called the number for them [protected] several times and told of wait time. I have left my phone number and have yet to receive a return call. I want a refund of charges ($80.63) that were not authorized that have been charged to my AMEX and I want the charges to stop NOW.

Acai Berry illegal charge

I got the message re Acai Berry for losing weight from Oprah
program. Supposed to get free bottle for $2.95 to try. I decided
against it, called right away, didn't even try the pills, then
I had a charge on my bank acct. for $59.95 on 9/2/08. I called on
9/2 and told them they were crooks and to refund my 59.95.
I talked to a man who said his name was "Daniel" operator #703, he gave me my cust. id# and also a cancelation #. no refund. On
9/4, I called again, told that it would take 7-10 days for the
credit showing on my acct. It is now the 17th (13 days later), still no refund. It was a small acct. and the charge overdrew it.

I am going to let Oprah show know and the State Atty.General.

My name is Jessica from Tx and the SAME THING happened to me. I wondered why my bank account was so low and went to my bank and asked for a statement going back three weeks. I was so shocked to see FOUR things on there with amounts up to $180! OUTRAGEOUS... my bank is going to dispute it. There is phone numbers on my statement right beside the amounts so I called and griped and I am supposed to get the $180 credited back to my account in three days, but the 80 dollars could not be credited. My bank is going to dispute this though. I was told after ordering the acai that a letter would be mailed to me with a phone number and I could cancel the extra fee (which I was never told what "fee" that was). I never received any letter. I am so mad... mainly at myself..

GNC is a big rip off. I received my trial along with a notation that $74 would be charged on my card in about 5 days from when I received it. I got an RGA# to return their product and requested to be removed from their mailing list. They replied and confirmed that I was removed, but still continued trying to charge my card, luckily I canceled my card before they were able to do so. Now I am getting e-mails that they will turn me over to a collection agency. I didn't have time to even try the product, but I am sure the pills are much a big rip off as the company!

My daughter ordered the free trial a few months ago with her debit card. She received the trial product and about 3 weeks later was charged 83.51 for the next shipment which she had not agreed too. Called the company and basically got very rude people that told us we should have read the fine print. What does an 18 year old who has had a debit card know about fine print? Long story short. I called the bank protested the charge, canceled her debit card and received a new one. Within 3 days received a new debit card and within 7 days received a credit from the bank. If you have been scammed by these companies, please cancel your debit card. You do not know who has your personal information now. Your bank will assist you in getting your money back. Give them a call.

I ordered the acai product on the internet. I did not keep the order i.e. the internet site. The sample did not arrive until 14 days after I placed the order. My credit card company called that I was oveerdrawn because they charged me almost $90 which I did not have available on my credit card. I called the number on my credit card.[protected]. They told me that I could not get my money back because all info was on the internet about them charging my card after fourteen days. I got nowhere with them when I told them that I had not even received the shipment and yes when I told them they were running a scam and I would go after them they said we are perfectly legal. Everything is noted on our Web Site. However, I did get the name of the company it is Steelbird Medical located in Washington D.C. The sample was shipped by Nutra Foods, 364 East Main Street, Suite 407, Middletown, D.C. 19709 .

What I want to know is how can we get these charge voided. I refuted the charges with my credit card company, but is that action sufficient. Can anyone help me with that. I, too, will never, ever buy anything else through the internet. My apologies to the hones folks. Aaltje van Zoelen, iaito@worldnet.att.net

Acai Berry Unauthorized charges on my card

These people have some f-ing nerve. All day long I've tried to figure out what this charge was. No one, of course, answers the toll free number that appears with the charge on your bank, nor do they even identify who they are when you call it. They just leave you on hold. I for one am going to be posting this on every consumer site out there. Very very bad biz practice.

You people are idiots! You really didn't know what your were getting charged for?!?! Or are you just to embarrassed of your own stupidity to admit that you're a fat lazy piece of s*** who goes online and enters your credit card info without reading. Learn how to read and you won't get "scammed". It says right there when you purchase that it's a trial for xx days, then there will be a monthly charge. P O Box 13579, Linlithgow, EH49 9AH, UK.They offer a free trial, which it isn't & they keep your card details & hit you with another bill 14 days later. They don't tell you this on the website...

Fortunately I used my bank card not a credit card so when I found this out & cancelled my card & had another re-issued. Very inconvenient & annoying.
as a point of interest it is against the law for them to keep any type of card details on file so they are in breach of the "Data Protection Act" for starters!

I do not have any information about where the company business is located. All I have is what is on my charge card, which is Phoenix Performance, [protected]. I called this number, and I get a recording each time that says, "all of our operators are busy for at least 45 minutes. Please go to "gohelpnow.com, " which gives me no information at all.

My story should make just about everyone that reads it think twice about getting acai products at all (no matter where they come from). Acai berry made my life a living hell about 4 months ago and I'm still trying to recuperate from the side-effects. After a couple of weeks of taking it I was becoming very itchy and my skin was so dry I didn't know what it was. Thought it was my new facial cream but then why would all my body itch. Took benadryll thinking it was an allergic reaction to something I may have recently consumed, but to my surprise and after experimenting with every possible allergy, ant-itch, medicine in Walgreens, I was rushed to the emergency room because my itches would not allow me to even sleep! I was so desperate with the itching I tore my skin everytime I scratched. Have some nice scars on me that will last a lifetime. When I went to the dermatologist and allergist I never expected to find out what I found out! Each Md. spent about 2hrs. with me going over every possible medicine, food, or exposure that may have caused this terrible allergy. To my surprise, results showed that I was allergic to this acai berry fruit! I have never been allergic to ANYTHING! My body was intoxicated from it and this was it's way of screaming for help! Md's put me on prednizone, and other medicine to help me sleep at night. It helped a little, but now I've got to be very careful with what I eat. I'm suddenly allergic to other berries and many things I loved to consume before. My skin is still blotchy and I'm still under treatment! So all I'm asking is for the new consumers to please be careful, for this is terrible! Acai berry is not worth it, ofcourse you don't realize this at the beginning! Good Luck!

Oh, make sure you also tell them you want to cancel fitness hub and costkings as well, it's something they give you a free 21 day trial for as well, also at the cost of 30.00 a month. Something i didnt notice until i re-read the fine print on the terms and conditions. There is a different order for cancelling that as well. This is from the terms and conditions: "And Yes, as our gift to you...we are sending you a 30 day supply for your trial period. As a special bonus gift, we're offering you risk free 21-day Trial Memberships to MyFitnessHub and CostKings. These are risk free 21-day trials, with no obligation to continue. You can cancel at any time during your risk free 21-day by calling [protected] M-F, 9am-9pm, EST and you will be charged nothing. If you like your memberships simply do nothing and you'll automatically be charged only $29.95 a month for MyFitnessHub and $2.97 a month for CostKings membership".

My husband also got sucked into this free trial period and 14 days later our account was charged $87.83, after numerous calls and after speaking to several supervisors I was still given the run around and told that they cancelled my account and would be refunding my money but two weeks later I have not seen 1 credit to my account. I even told them that I had seen their BBB score and they still told me to wait 3 to 5 days and check my account for my refund. What a crock! Tonight I am going to cancel my husbands debit card because after reading all these stories I am afraid that they will continue to take money from my account without my consent. This happened to me also. Now my account is overdrawn and i want to know how to stop these companys from doing this. I know I should have not done this but they make it sound so easy to try and cancell. My mistake was I called and cancelled, then shredded my invoice now I get the bank statement and the overdraft for $78.81 is on there Plus a $25.00 fee. I cant find the phone # to call but after reading these complaints maybe it would be a waste of time. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I guess we are all victims of this scam. lets stick together and stop these people. thanks,
diane

Acai Berry - Misleading charges

These people disguise the small print and will not respond to messages. I tried to get out of this scam and was told I could not return any product, basically I was committed to buying from them. I have been told by another rep, the first one hung up on me, that I can get a refund by providing a tracking number but only for part of the product; and, they...

Acai Berry unwanted e-letter/pure acai berry

This company is a HUGE scam. After agreeing to the "free" trial of Pure Acai Berry, I was shipped another bottle and billed $74.95. I spoke to a customer support person(that's a joke) who said that I could return the unopened bottle for a full credit and that my account would be cancelled. Well, lo and behold, on August 22nd- almost a full month after cancelling, I was billed $5.95 for a news letter (e-letter) which I never asked for. I ripped into Jason (no last name...how convenient.) Supposedly, I will be getting a call for the supervisor, Sue-oh yes, no last name. Oh by the way, I still haven't received a credit for the returned product. Major lesson learned.

I have purchased a sample product and canceled the home delivery and newsletter and still I am being charged $5.87 monthly which service was never rendered. I have e-mailed several time and called the customer service and produced no result. The product did not deliver as promised. If this is a legitimate business, your customer service need definitely needs improvement and stop charging customer for product they no longer receive.

I purchased a sample for $4.87. The agreement stated that if I did not like to product, I had 10 days to try. I received another bottle within less than 5 days of the receipt of the sample and my card was charged $79.76. I returned the product the same day and called my cc company. I received an email from ES Performance Life advising that a refund was being processed. I then received an additional charge on my account for $5.87. I again disputed the charges and this time cancelled the cc and requested a new number. The new charge showed up as T P Performance Life.

This company definitely has a scam going on. I am just glad that I did not use my bank card instead of my AMEX.

When you cancel the plan under the terms and conditions, you have to cancel both the monthly newsletter and the monthly automatic shipments.

I charged my charge card for $3.00 plus for a sample of colon cleanse for which I took the first dose and it made me sick. I threw the rest in the garbage can. Lo and behold I find that I have been charged $74 plus for more of the mess. I called for an
authorization to return, got a number and returned it with the bottle untouched. In a month, I call to find out about the refund, and was told that the bottle had been opened and some of the pills had been used. That is a LIE, but that's what they do to keep from refunding money. The bottle was not opened by me anyway because I didn't want the mess. AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED, THE COMPANY IS A SCAM BUSINESS. I have
disputed the charge on my credit card, but we'll see what happens. The company should be prosecuted!

Acai Berry they sent me a bottle of pills which I didn't order or want and charged my credit card

I ordered a 5 days package of this product which I was suppose to be charged only $4.87 and nothing more was said about sending me another package of 60 tablets.
I received this package a few days ago and I been trying to reach them by phone and by email with no success. I would like to send back the package which by the way came ripped up and bottle not sealed like the one before. I would like to hear back from someone regarding this because I will
place a complain with the Better Business Bureau if I have to. Please have the decency to reply.

Okay people here is the thing you gotta read the fine print! I read it and still got ripped off. I ordered the trial. Two days after receiving the trial pills i called and cancelled the membership i agreed to which was totally soo under the fifteen days from when ur supposed to cancel so you don't get shipped monthly pills and get charged the monthly fee. So I spoke to a operator who jst verified my phone# and gave me a cancellation#. So I taught okay well that should take care of that well i was wrong. Right after the 15 days I noticed the monthly fee in my bank acct. So I called the co. to see what was going on with that fee, only to find out that it was for the pills that they sent out because I didn't cancelled the free trial before the 15 days. Tried giving her my cancellation confirmation#, date and time of when I placed the call, name of the operator and she says there is no record. So I went back and forth with the rude operator. Finally I said that I would like to speak to a supervisor and ofcourse she comes back and tells me that there is none available. UHHHUU RIIIIGHHHTTT! Well there is more to the story but it is jst too long. All I can say is that make sure you cancel the product before the 15 days if your not sattisfied. Once you do and get all the info. like cancellation#, name of the operator, time you called. CALL RIGHT BACK to make sure that infact your membership was cancelled. IF your one of the unlucky ones that do get charged after the fact then cancel the card on which you placed the order through and tell your bank to not allow anymore authorizations from that co. Believe me. I went through all this and more. So potential buyers BEWARE! On a happy note I did infact received the whole amt. back but only because I didn't give up my money that easy!

Acai Berry Auto ship

Pureacaiberry.com

It appears not many people, including myself really read the terms that clearly state that by ordering the free trial, you are authorizing them to bill you monthly 79.76 for a 60 day supply that will be auto shipped monthly, unless you cancel.

Cut and paste the links below and enter your email address; a pop up box will come up asking you to not cancel and that they will reduce the cost to only 19.95 for a 60 day supply; you can elect to cancel, or elect the reduced price. I found that even the trial offer offers a reduced rate of only $1.00 if you elect not to order.
(You can cancel at any time during the ten day trial period by unsubscribing at our website at http://acai.performanceproductsusa.com/contact.php?cmd=unsubscribe_form with no further obligations. Limit of one trial sample per household. If, at any time thereafter, you wish to cancel the convenient home delivery plan, you may unsubscribe at our website at http://acai.performanceproductsusa.com/contact.php?cmd=unsubscribe_form with no further obligations. )

Do not order from this website! - They are a scam, They have a office obviously overseas, because the customer service department is all foreign language holders. They hang up on you if they don't understand what you are saying, I ordered the product. I called to cancel, and they took $78.81 out of my account anyway. I hope that they don't get another fool to order from them.

I ordered a sample bottle for 4.87...never received it, then I see a charge of 79.76 from my checking account w/n a week that I did not authorize, nor did I receive the product. I called to cancel, but could not get through, the phone automatically disconnects. I went online to cancel. Hopefully they will not charge me again as they have done others, but I want my money refunded.

I received product TWO days ago, as sticker on bottom of product will verify. I was told when original shipment was processed (free this first time except for S&H of $1.97) that I could return product with 10 days and no future orders would be sent to me. ALSO NO FUTURE debits would be attached to me checking account. I was given an 877 number to call within those ten days mentioned above. I did that, only to get an answering machine on which I emphatically notified them to send no more orders and no more debits are to be made against my checking account. ([protected])

I was told that I would get a one weeks sample of their product for $1.87. I put the $1.87 on my card and was sent 6 capsules (which was not the 14 needed for the week) There was absolutely no paperwork with the for me to call and cancel the product or info on how much the product would cost. A few days later I was billed $74.98 which was much more than OI would have agreed to pay fro the product. Now, two weeks later they have billed me $5.87 for what I don't know. I want to unsubscribe but they do not answer their phone. I receive a message that there is a 45 min wait and then am disconnected. I went to GOHELPNOW.com to unsubscribe and was taken to this site where I saw all the other complaints. What do I do now?

I like everyone else ordered the "free" trial order for shipping and handling costs ONLY - little did I know that a second shipment which was received cost a total of $83.80 - mmmmmmmm does Rachel Ray and Oprah know this? that consumers are being ripped off? they too along with CNN and other corporations whose name tag is being used with the product will also be notified. The NYC Attorney General will also be notified via certified mail regarding this illegal, immoral, unethical practice of taking advantage of persons who unfortunately have ordered based on the advertisement. No where does it say on their site that the orders are automatic and that the cost is over 25% more than what can be found in any health food store. What a shame - I should have known better. Be forwarned Wellness - not only have I cancelled my order with your company this morning but further litigation will be taken and the account that you have withdrawn the monies from is now emptied.

Same complaint as others. The telephone number listed cannot be reached day or night. The sample gave me cramps and upset my stomach. I sure don't want any more acacia, especially at $89 a bottle!

I too ordered trial bottle of Acai Berry product. Within 2 weeks I also had full size bottle and charged huge amount that I would not pay had I known this would be the price. I saw no results whatsoever, and have been trying to send back. You do get to test your patience with this company. Upon checking my credit card today, I see I was charged for another trial bottle which I absolutely DID NOT order. This needs to stop now.

I USED MY FATHER'S CREDIT CARD WITH HIS PERMISSION TO TRY THE SAMPLE, I TOO WAS TOLD BY MY DOCTOR NOT TO TAKE IT. NOW A BOTTLE HAS SHOWN UP AND A CHARGE ON MY FATHER'S CREDIT CARD FOR APPX 75.00. HE HAS SENT THE PILLS BACK. THIS HAD BETTER STOP. HE DID NOT AGREE TO ANY MONTHLY OR WEEKLY PILLS BEING SENT. THIS WAS A TRIAL...APPARENTLY THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD. I'M REQUESTING YOU STOP CHARGING HIS CARD AND DO NOT SEND ANYMORE OF YOUR POISON.

I have the same problem. Order free trial both Acai berry and purity 12 one and half months ago, I agreed to pay shipping only 1.99 and 4.99 for those products. I just found out today that those company charged my cc total almost $300. I called my credit card company imediately. They cancelled my account and will send me the new card. I just wonder if I have to pay that amont of money those scam company charge into my credit card? and if I need to call to cancel all the accounts (which I dont even know I have until today).

This is a FRAUD! I had just ordered the free trial and decided to call the given phone#[protected] to make sure they weren't going to charge me for other extra bottle after the trial. The Phone # given does not work or better yet does not exist however it is you will never get through. I was thinking this could be a FRAUD checked out some reviews and was right the best thing to do is call the bank right away! My bank closed my card and is sending me another one that way they can never charge anything on it if they tried too. The $5.95 trial shipping and handeling they also took care of that. Explain to them the situation and let them know it's a spam

I have not been billed for the expensive bottle yet but I suspect I will. I already called my credit card explaining the situation and telling them that I plan to cancel with the company and that they seem to be crooked. If I am billed even a second time, I will close the account. I think the best bet is notifying your credit card company and reporting the company to the attorney general which I plan to do if I am billed after cancelling.
