Beware of acai advanced. You will be doubled teamed! I ordered the free trail of the acai advanced c/o glf. The only thing they said you would be charged for is $5.95 shipping. They made me sick so I called and cancelled it within the trail period. They told me to send back the bottle and there would be no further charges and they gave me confirmation #. I asked again… is there anything else I need to do, would there be any more charges to my card and they said no. A week later I have a charge for $24.95… beside the charge it said, ” purchase vit*live lean aa 1”. I had no idea who that was so I called my bank and they gave me a phone number that was associated with the charge [protected]). I called the number and they said the charge was for the living lean weight loss management plan that I signed up with. I told them that I did not sign up for any weight loss plan and they told me that I did when I ordered the trail order of acai advanced. They said when you place that order you automatically sign up with them. I disagreed and asked her to show me ‘on the site’ where it states that I am doing that. Right above where you sign up for the trail there is a bubble that states: … plus free gift pass to liveleanforlife weight loss management plan… then she tells me to go way down to the bottom of the page where the site menu is and click on ‘terms and conditions’. I then told her no matter what, I did call and cancel and made sure before we hung up that there would be no further charges. She told me that they were a separate company and had nothing to do with them. I needed to call a different number to cancel with them. What a rip off!

As of right now I am on hold with Acai Advanced and have been on hold for approximately 45 minutes and still holding. Now, this company may be successful in this economic trying times, but they are the only ones; but there is absolutely no reason I should be on hold for this long. This is ridculous. You would think if being in such a high demand you would hire enough people to meet this demand and I know plenty of people looking for work. It seems to me they are avoiding something.

Cannot get in touch with anyone for over 1 hour so that i can get the neede "rma" (Return merchandise authorization number)
I have also tried a website that does not exist (Www.Support@acaiadvancedcs.com) so that i can return this product.
This company claims "no hassles" if you want to return this product and not be charged. It is so frustrating to not be able to cancel, especially when these unwanted charges will interfere with my ability to pay for my monthly needs such as rent, food and electric

I ordered a trail bottle of Acai. It made me feel very ill and I want to discontinue further shippments. The phone number that is provided to "simply" request a RMA or stop the program, does not accept calls and the hold is endless. The website that is provided comes up with an error. In the meantime, my debit card is being charged for something that I don't want and I can't find a way out. I do not want to be inconvenienced by closing my bank account but do not know what else to do. Someone needs to stop this consumer abuse.
Please advise

This product is not that bad and the customer service is very helpful with all problems that you may have. The biggest complaint I have seen on this board is that people have not read the terms and conditions of the product when they order it. People need to take ownership of there own decisions in life. If you order a product and put in your own credit card info make sure you know what you are getting yourself into. Take the time to read the important materials of that product.

Noticed that they had just taken money out of my account, asked to not have product shipped, informed that they just pulled money out of my account and are unable to reverse even though it was just done, unable to speak with anyone, no phone number to call, only way of contact is by letter, when asked for phone number on 3 different calls they were not able to give me a number.o get the phone number i was directed to over night a letter requesting the number.

I guess I was lucky, for I finally got through to get my RMA number to return the product, and then I asked if they were affiliated with Vita Live Lean, and I was attimate about them reversing the $24.95 charge and the rep stated that she could reverse it but it would cost ME $12.00 for them to do so. I was furious ! I demanded to talk to a supervisor and I was so upset that of course he wasn't willing to help me at all. But it sure felt good to let them know how I felt about companies misrepresenting themselves and ripping people off with their stupid fine print crap. I even expressed to both of them, how could they even work for a company that they know rips people off. I got a cancellation # and if I am charged any more monies, they had better watch out... It's a shame, for now I am going to be very skeptical if I ever, ever order anything online again... to sad...

This is the biggest rip off I've ever seen in my life. Like a fool, I failed to read the terms and conditions of this offer. Don't make my mistake. They tell you that you can have this 15-day free trail. Well, then not only are you charged the remaining balance, you are charged 24.95 for a website! Live Lean for Life. That's a crock of bull if I ever heard one. Finally, after days and days of trying to speak to someone so I can cancel this, I got a girl named Patty who cancelled everything for me, and gave me cancellation numbers for both Live Lean for Life and AcaiAdvanced, but told since I was past my 15-day trial, I could not return the product. Since I made this HUGE misktake, I've been researching this further and have seen that you can actually get this product at Walgreen's much, much cheaper.

I feel this company is very sneaky and their objective is to unfairly trick the customer. They say that you have a 20 day trial period BUT it is from the date that you order their product. So you wait for it to come in the mail and this counts as part of your trial time. I lost 8 days of actually trying this product while waiting for it to arrive. So after trying it for "my" 20 days with no results, as promised, I call to cancel and they have already charged my account $64.95! So I actually had only 12 days before I was supposed to call them and cancel. This is unfair to me when I am searching for a healthy way to lose some weight. They say that all of these details are noted in their disclaimers but seriously, why can't they just be fair to the consumer. That is what I teach my 1st graders, to be fair and kind, and that is not the way this company treated me with their "fabulous" product. They track when the product is delivered to the customer, as they told me, so why couldn't they start the 20 days from then? I am very unhappy and upset about losing the money especially with the economy in the shape that it's in. Things are very tight in my household and I was just hoping for a chance with this product and I didn't get it.

I wish I would have done some research before I tried this product! What a scam! You get a free 15 day trial... sure, but what they don't tell you is that you will get charged for future shipments. When I discovered this I immediately began calling to cancel.. and like everyone else I never could get a live person on the phone. So, I called my bank to find out how to prevent the charges before they happen and when I started to explain the issue to my bank the lady knew exactly what I was talking about before I even finished! Apparently it is more common than I thought! It's an inconvience to cancel my debit card and wait for a new one... but it saves me the added problems of unwanted charges and hidden charges they don't tell you about.
STAY AWAY! DO NOT TRY THIS! Next call... attorney.

This company has the worst customer service I have ever encounter.
How can you sell a free trial @ 5.95 and then 15 days later I was charged 64.95 and 4 days later 24.95. How can this be allowed? I will call, write and take this matter seriously. This is a scam with Oprah Winfrey And Rachel Ray promoting themselves backing up this company. They promote free trials to lure you in to getting your credit card info to incurre further charges. I called my credit card cancelled that number and will recieve a new one. If you have experience this scam do the same. They keep you on hold so long hoping you will hang up and give up. Don't give up. I will report to the newspapers, telvision buisness bureou of this SCAM... Shame Shame Shame... The corporate office doesn't have a number for contact and there address is PO Box 17855 Portland Main 04112. This is what I was told is it the truth. Hmmmm Not sure.

don't trust this people they are cheating the customer they don't keep their promise which they made it on advertisement.
these acai free trials are nothing but trouble. they put in fine print all of these crazy outrageous - like at the end of trial period they will charge your cc for 70.00 $ its not a free product don't order it from them. its not working its not a real acai..the fact that they make their money and i promise that they make plenty.

I agree with Carroll that this company rips people off. I also was unaware of any "Live Lean for Life" program and that I would be charged an additional $24.95 for a 20-day trial that I never used. I cancelled whatever it is I supposedly signed up for. After talking to 3 different people, they said they can't do anything about the charges because I didn't cancel within the 20 days. So I'm out $64.95 for the stupid pills that DO NOT WORK, in addition to $24.95 for some "weight loss management program" that I had no idea I signed up for. The last person I spoke to told me that all the conditions of my trial were specified on their web site - I disagree and the only way to verify that is to start out as a new customer and enter information as well as an account number. I can't do that for fear that I'll be charged again for all this crap!I I think a complaint with the Better Business Bureau is in order. Cecilia in Arizona

I ordered a free trial of Acai and agreed to pay the $5.95 shipping charge but they sent me a 30 day supply that they are going to charge my credit card after 15 days. I tried to cancel this product but cannot get anyone on the phone when I tried their customer service number. I then called Chase and they were no help in stopping further charges from this company. You would think the credit card companies would be able to do something more for their customers but they told me I can dispute any charges after they appear on my statement. This company can send me this product or any other product and charge it to my credit card and I can't do anything about it. THIS IS A BIG SCAM! Where are the consumers rights?

Do not buy from this company. It is a total scam. I am sending a complainant to the Attorney General of Maine because of this. I said i wanted a free trail and then i cancelled it. Then they sent me another bottle and charged me for it. So i want to present this issue to the Attorney General of Maine. When i called them i couldn't talk to the president or supervisor, i could not talk to ANY boss. Than i asked the employee on the phone for his name and he would not give me it. He wouldn't even give me his name.

I've read the multitude of complaints about this company on this site and want to share how I'm fighting them. I too listened on speakerphone for over 1 1/2 hrs. while they played music and no one ever did answer. But after so long a time when their recorded message was failing an e-mail address was announced. I tried it and it worked. It's support@acaiadvancedcs.com. I've been blasting them ever since (and keeping copies of everything, as per Judge Marilyn on TV). They've charged me the initial $5.95, then $64.95, then $74.90 and most recently $24.95. I've alerted them that I've filed a complaint with the BBB (http://boston.bbb.org) and the Consumer Protection Division of the Attorney General of Maine (type this in at Ask.com and it'll take you right there). I've advised them my next stop with be with Rachel Ray since they originally used her name and picture to sell their product and after that I'll complain to the Feds (http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx) whose site indicates they will get the FBI involved if merited. I've received an e-mail from "Denise" at Acai Advanced listing a phone #, [protected] asking for additional info to trace my order. I had given my original order # and shipping date, but they couldn't trace it? Give me a break. Anyway, I haven't called her yet. E-mailed my intentions as stated above (and kept a copy) and told her to IMMEDIATELY credit my card and I'll be watching my account online to see that this happens. I told her I'M NOT KIDDING. Let's all follow a similar procedure and see what happens. Don't cancel your credit card if you have rewards pending. Report it as lost or stolen and keep your rewards but get a new number. Best wishes to all.

Internet Special for free trial offer for $5.95

Then you have 15 days to evaluate product and are billed additional $64.95 and become a member (unknowingly) and receive a 30 day supply of product each month.

The number provided 888.247.5160 to call for returns/refunds/cancellations/status of order/ is never answered and then disconnected and the website is bogus that they provide.

Luckily I continued to spend all day researching and called another Acai number listed that was helpful and gave me another phone number to contact that worked - actually got thru to a customer service representative that assisted me.

Don't even buy this product, it's a scam

An offer of 15 day "risk-free" trial was illustrated with the only payment being the shipping and handling charge of $5.95, sure it may sound like a good deal, however "RISK FREE" has been anything but that. once you orde rthe product your 15 day trial begins at that moment, not when you receive the product. Once you receive the product that takes 7-10 days to arrive, you only have 2-3 days for an actual cancellation. Following the 15th day from the day you order your credit card will be charged for $64.95 for the remaining balance of the product and an additional charge of $24.95 from a VIT.Lean membership not illustrated clearly. They say this is a 20 day trial membership to an online group, however you never receive the website, email or password needed to use this memebership as the agent discussed on the phone when I questioned this charge. Then 15 days from the first charge you will be charged for $74.90 for the second months supply because the cancellation failed to go through in time. (Conveniant business practices for these scam artists). Min dyou a second month supply also fails to arrive in the mail, though charges have been made and there is NOTHING the company can do outside the 15 day trial period. If you get through to the phone number and receive confirmation numbers of your cancellations, charges will still appear. Best thing to do right away, if its not too late is cancel your credit card or debit card with your bank and give all information needed proving cancellation, phone, dates and charges. First - transfer accounts if possible (when using a debit card) and all funds in this account, therefore you will not have your account frozen during the investigation. Thus making it easier for the bank to catch these theives when they try to charge your old account. GOOD LUCK with these scam artists. BUYER BEWARE should be in place of RISK FREE trial.

Ordered free trial offer of ACAI Berries, the pills made me sick, I sent back and cancelled. On April 24 I had a charge on my bank account for $24.95 that referenced VIT Live Lean AA 2 C888 27264 CA. I called them and they informed me that I had signed up for a free trial offer to a web site "Living Lean for Life" and that it was free for 20 days unless I cancelled. Since I did not know - or was made very clear to me that this was something that would automatically be billed unless I did something I was beyond the 20 day terms to refund the $24.95. They refused to budge.

This company is a SHAM.

After receiving 2 additional charges and NSF resulting from them I have had to cancel my credit card causing more hardship. I agree to the free trial paying ONLY the shipping charges and low and behold I got additional charges - I told the lady that I didn't agree to anything extra, I made sure to uncheck any boxes that were checked so that no extra fees were attached. She said it's not really written it's just there in the terms and conditions and that it's near the bottom if I read it completely. Who reads all the way down to the bottom - well I guess I do now! CHAULK THIS UP TO A LEARNING EXPERIENCES AND HOPEFULLY I WILL GET THE $65.00 BACK

Hello All,

I ordered the Acai Berry Maxx online because I saw advertized by Rachel Ray, Oprah and CBS News, all of which I look at. The charges were for 5.95 shipping and handling, also it was a free bottle. I took a look at my banking statement online and to my dismay, $64.95 was taken out of my account. I called the number that showed and got a mean spirited little B****! At first she said I ordered Acai Advanced for trial free membership for 15 days of service. I informed her of the product that I had actually ordered (Acai Berry Maxx) and the website said nothing about the extra charges coming out of my account. First it was to a refund for used portions. I told her I hadn't open the bottle yet. She slacked up a little. But, she said I can only get 25% of the refund back. I went off! I told her I wanted all of it back being that it was a Different product and you all made unauthorized charges. Then she offered 50%. I wasn't hearing of it. Then she spat out the return address and the RMA number and said it will be 30 days until I get anything back. I am informing my bank of this major fraud and hope that charges will be filed soon in a form of a class action suit. I am counting the days!

Sincerely,
Will learn the hard way

This is a scam. They advertise risk free trial for 30 days just pay for shipping. Then when you receive the item you are told in this large marketing brochure you will be billed for two different things. You must return it before the 15 day trial period. What happened to the 30 day trial period advertised on the website? I would have NEVER signed up for this. Try calling their [protected] number it's busy all the time. Once I finally got through they would not do anything for me other than to write their corporate office to complain. This is a horrible way to do business.

I recieved my bottle of pills in July 2009. Once I read the entire paperwork attached to product I learned I would be billed $64.95 within 15 days. I immediately tried to return mechandise. I was talked into keeping it for a trial period of 30 days which would end August 27, 2009. On August 25, 2009 I realized I wasnt consistent with the pills, so again I called back and tried to return the merchandise. I was talked into once again an extened trial period which would end Sept. 25, 2009. On Sept. 18, 2009 I was charged for with an unauthorized amount of 64.95 to my checking account. I phoned Acai billing and got a complete run around. The customer service clerk said there was no where listed that I had til Sept. 25 to keep the pills without being billed. He spoke of my many calls to the company and stated on August 25, 2009 the clerk did not write that I had an extension til Sept. 25, at that time I tried to speak with a supervisor. I was told to leave a message and they will get back to me, I did not want to leave a message expressed my feelings towards the company and how they took money without my authorization. I made it very clear I did not want to be transferred and wished to speak to a supervisor, that didnt matter I was transferred immediately. Called back and company was closed for the day. Looked for a website but had no luck. Found the complaint board instead, which was great. Every complaint sounded like my complaint. Thank God for my bank, put stop payment for any future deductions and was told I can place a claim for my loss. I will not stop til the company has to here me...and the hope that no one else will have to go through this.

Same complaint as others below. I ordered online in May 2009 and cancelled within the 14 day trial period by phone. When my credit card bill arrived six weeks later in June, they had charged me an additional $65, plus an unexplained $25. I mentioned I had received a package recently, and had returned it to sender unopened. "Kerbie" said it was going to be charged to me anyway. This last conversation was with the credit card company listening in. I was given new cancellation numbers.

DO NOT ORDER THIS PRODUCT! It is a total rip off and scam that cost me 100$. When I called to cancel the order within the 15 day trial period, the number repeatedly hung up on me, therefore I was charged. Also I was charged for some Live Lean for Life program that I was not aware of, it was combined with tha Acai Advanced demo in small enough print that I was not aware I was even signing up for it.

The pills made me sick to my stomach, my acid reflux worsen, I had frequent headaches and I could not sleep at all while on it.

It is a scam company, do not get involved with it as I did and have the huge headache of trying to get out of the contract.

This Acai Advanced is nothing more than a scam. I paid the initial $5.00, then was charged $24.95. Supposedly had a shipment in June, which I never received and suddenly received a shipment on July 10 and each shipment is $74.90. I spoke with them and they have informed me that they will not refund my money, nor will they give me an address. I have stopped these charges by disputing them with my bank credit card. And they are very familiar with the name and the scam that they are committing. I have found the shipper, Great Lakes Fulfillment Services, 41 Canal St, Lewiston, ME [protected].
Have been unable to speak with them.
I wish to emphasis THIS IS A SCAM, and the BBB in Maine should file criminal charges against them immediately.

They offer a 15 day free trial of their acia advance weight loss pill and free membership in Live Lean. You pay 5.95 for shipping. They state in big letters RISK FREE, simply call customer service and request an Return Merchandise Authorization if you are not satisfied AFTER your 15 day trial. I did not receive my the pills till 13 days after I ordered it on line. I used it for 10 days and saw no results so I called to cancel figuring I still had 5 days left on the trial. Customer Service told me she had already put 24.95 on my card for The supposedly Free Live Lean membership and 64.95 for the pills stating it was past the 15 day trial period. I stated I did not receive the pills till 13 days after placing the order so I did not start the trial till the 13th day. She refused to credit my card. This is not RISK FREE it is a Scam.

Beware of ACAI ADVANCED! They offer a 30 day supply of product and then in the fine print state that the product is only free for 14 days. However, they DO NOT make it clear that the 14 days starts the day you order it! It took me 9 days to receive it. I used it 4 days and noticed a charge on my card for $64.95. I called to correct the mistake and they informed me I had been charged the day before $64.95 for the product and even though I explained I had only had it 4 days and would NOT refund any portion of it. I started looking at the fine print and the fine print within the fine print and noticed that they also enrolled me in a "Live Lean for Life Program" for free but were going to charge me on the 20th day an additional $24.95 for that program. I called back to cancel (with two day to spare) and reported them to the Better Business Bureau! This is a SCAM. Not only does it NOT WORK but they will charge you and charge you and charge you!

I took the advanced acai and paid the shipping. I sent the trial back and so far have not been charged anything further YET. I sent the trial back because it did nothing for me! All they did was make me hungrier! Everytime I took one my stomach would start growling in a matter of minutes like I haven't eaten in days! Even when I ate it never seemed like enough.. This product was a complete waste of time and I'm upset that I put that garbage into my system..

i just ordered the free trial with s/h about a week ago and it just came in the mail.
i wish i read about this earlier!
no credit card bills yet... but i'm scared that they'll put charges on my card!
is [protected] the number to cancel the membership for this product?
i didn't try the pills yet so should i just return it for the RAM number or whatever?

do they charge you even after you cancel the stupid membership?
