Beware of this fraud company. They are sending emails and asking for everyone's personal information like passport no., salary and company info., do not respond to these mails.

This is to primarily inform you that we have received your cv/resume attached mail. We have written to acquaint you that your cv/resume is now under screening and verification with the human resources department of texaco ltd. You would only be contacted by texaco ltd if you are found suitably qualified for the required position in the st. Fergus gas to liquid plant project in scotland.

Also i got email from same company today and same detail.. i don't think so its the same Mac Recruitment Company in UK. These guys does not have email with domain Mac Recruitment. But i found another website under name of Mac Recruitment and they does have email under same domain name and as well as Toll free number and lots of Jobs.

Im pretty sure definitely its 101% scam.

I also got a mail from same company, and everything is same. while i searched with the web for this MAC RECRUITING AGENCY i could'nt found any website or a proper email address for the same.

Same mail sent to 3 different ppl with the same offering and questions. Seems to be a fake company just to lure the needy.

There is no point in responding to such mails.

WHATS THIS MAC RECRITMENT IS ALL DOING, SHELL COMPANY MUST CAPTURE THE SCAM, IT SEEMS A FRAUD EVEN SHELL HAS DESCRIBE ABOUT THE FRADULENT COMAPNIES AT THEIR OFFICAIL WEBSITE, FRIENDS IF YOU ALSO GOT THIS FRADULENT E-MAIL THEN CHECK THE SHELL OFFICIAL WEBSITE FOR THIS.

Hi, I got a similar on-line test, post which the Mac Recruiting agency have sent me an offer letter on behalf of Shell. Can someone tell me is it a Fraud? Should I respond to it? Thanks!

Hi, I just found on shell website the following extract:

This is an important notice on fraudulent communications that have been made to members of the public on behalf of Shell.

There have been recent incidents that have occurred with organisations falsely pretending to recruit on behalf of Shell or by people claiming to work for, or be affiliated to, Shell. These propositions notify individuals that their qualifications were found suitable to work as an employee (local or expatriate) for Shell and solicit the transfer of significant sums of money to pay for work permits, insurance policies, etc.


Please note that Shell (nor any of the organisations that recruit on our behalf) never ask for any money or payments from applicants, at any point in the recruitment process. All individuals who are successful in gaining an offer of employment from Shell, whether directly or indirectly, are always required to go through a formal recruitment process.


Please note that these communications are fraudulent. They do not originate from Shell nor are they associated with Shell's recruitment process.

Salient points of such communications are that they come from non-Shell e-mail addresses (e.g. from a yahoo.com address); the use of English is poor; at some stage, money is requested. We recommend that you do not respond to unsolicited business propositions and/or offers from people with whom you are unfamiliar. Do not disclose your personal or financial details to anyone you do not know. If you receive such proposals, we would advise you to contact your local police and provide them with all information you may have from the senders (email addresses, phone/fax details, etc.).

i to got a mail from this agency and they even send me a copy of 14 page appointment and contract agreement letter from shell ltd and told me to give him back a signed copy of contract and also to british immigration consultants,i have send them copy of it but not to immigration consultant,they also told me to give a scanned copy of first page of international passport,what should i do,i have taken out the print out of that contract.
