AC Overstock overstock / walmart ripped me off

Chat support, and partner have lied to me!
After stating they said they made an error in pricing for a 7 piece dining room set on Wal-Mart site, which I purchased and it was in stock. I have receipts of this. They refund me money immediately and changed their website with the dining room set and raised it $800+ in price. Yet told me it was not in stock anymore, They would make good on it if the item was in stock. when I found it on their site and OverStock, they told me no. They aren't going to make good of a table that was $800 more than I original paid for. When I said this is NOT my mistake but Wal-Mart or overstock's and they need to take accountability. They told me I could purchase it since they sent me my refund, and could pay full price!

This is criminal! After 5.5 hours of chat support and customer service, escalates to higher department "supposedly" I had a Rep that stated she would call me on 10/9/18 5pm EST, since she was Mountain Time and we could get a resolution that day. Guess what? NO PHONE CALL. After almost an hour waiting, I called back in. Of course I didn't get Tammy…and everyone says they know this ‘Tammy "and when asked to speak to her, she was in another building or possibly another queue. When asked to have the office number that she worked in or even be transferred to her queue I was told no.
I asked to be escalated again and was of course told AGAIN that I was at the highest level and no one goes past them. When this person Sharay, told me this info, I said everyone has a boss, can you please speak with them. I was told she was the highest level I could speak to, etc…and then when I pressed this issue and she escalated her voice and told me ma'am this is the best we can do, I disagreed. She put me on a hold to get her manager, came back told me they are low on managers and it they could call me back in a little bit, I said I'd wait. She told me there was a queue again that we would have to wait for. I informed her of I didn't trust a call back since I was not called back when told, so I said again, I'd wait. I then was told that it could be 24-48 hours. The call continued with her deceits. It's recorded along with other chat sessions and other phone calls. I hope this is taken seriously.
A Customer, who purchases as how they should, paid and was tracking shipping, is going through mental abuse and they expect a simple sorry, will cut it. Well all the lies, blow off of a call back isn't.
Then it was said that they are a million/billion dollar company. I would hope that you could fix and I was told that if they "gave away" purchases on every online pricing issue, they wouldn't. I then asked, does this happen with a lot of customers. Does this mean you shouldn't order online, since they have this so called policy to protect them from their partner's mistakes? Someone needs help accountable and they need to make this right. I even offered to repay what I originally did for this purchase and the item they have in stock, I asked if they would cover that cost for all of this inconvenience. They said no.
An apology won't cut it. As much as I appreciate it and was willing to work something out, I was then again rejected by the Walmart and Overstock and never received a call back. At this point I would like the table that is in fact in stock and for my price I paid the first time for, not told that I can now purchase the table at full price. I have my receipt, with the details of what I was purchasing and I believe it's only fair.

AC Overstock non-delivery

My wife order a furnace from this company four months ago and was told it was on back order. We waited over a month and called 4 times or so and finally reached someone who said it was still on back order. I asked for a refund and they said they would do it "right away". It's now been 3 more months and no refund. Our called and emails have gone unanswered. It appears a Dana Kamide is the owner although he uses a different name in him corp filings.

This company is just ripping off their customers with no product delivered or phone calls answered, ever. STAY AWAY!

Hello to all - I find it necessary to correct these comments which have obviously been posted by a competitor. I AM the the owner of the domain name www.acoverstock.com and have been so since Nov. 19, 2010 to present time. My name is Carlos Rivero and I am a licensed General Contractor and Building Contractor here in Central Florida for well over 20 years. My company Cafe Construction & Development, Inc. d/b/a Cafe Homes, Inc. has a A+ rating with BBB and here is the link: http://www.bbb.org/central-florida/business-reviews/real-estate/cafe-homes-in-orlando-fl-101573 No complaints with over 20+ years in business and well over 500 homes built and over 175, 000 square feet of commercial construction built.

I purchased this domain name from Dana Kamide back in Nov. 2010 and have enjoyed rebuilding the website. Mr. Kamide did the best he could with the issues he had with First Data and yes I can tell you that First Data has NUMEROUS complaints against them but I will leave that to you the reader to do your own research. As for acoverstock's BBB rating I suggest everyone to do their own research. The BBB page can be found at: http://www.bbb.org/central-florida/business-reviews/air-conditioning-and-heating-contractors-commercial/ccd-american-enterprises-in-orlando-fl-90016541 ACOverstock.com is owned by my company CCD American Enterprises LLC. Hopefully after your own research you can see through the smokescreen and inaccurate statements made by competitors. Thank you for your time and please do not hesitate to call our offices at [protected] if you would like to discuss this further.

This is a typical response from a comapany who rips off their customers. I am a merchant account rep for First data who shall remain unnamed. I personally know this account and all you have to do is search the keywords " acoverstock reviews" and "acoverstock complaints" to uncover the truth about this company. Their BBB file is http://www.bbb.org/central-florida/business-reviews/air-conditioning-supplies-and-parts/ac-overstock-in-winter-park-fl-151903072 This file show a ton of complaints from customers who would love to get their hands on the owners. They have the worst rating you can get with an "F". I suggest you protect yourself and buy from a local contractor you can trust. My industry tries to prevent companies like this from ripping off customers but they always have a way around the rules.

I would like to clarify the above posters complaint.

The company he is referring to has successfully shipped out thousands of orders to satisfied customers. They are far from being a company that is "just ripping off customers..."

The company did, in fact, experience a serious set-back with back-orders from a few manufacturers for a time. But in addition to that, the company experienced what many small businesses have experienced these past two years. Credit card processor large reserve holds and reserve funding account debits - All without warning and carried out unscrupulously by the credit card processor, First Data.

Credit card processors, such as First Data, who fund an internet company's transactions have been holding hundreds of millions of dollars in credit card settlements indefinitely from businesses who need to fulfill their customer's orders. In addition, these credit card processors often go a step further and deduct large sums from a company's bank account. This they do even after holding customer's funds from the sale of merchandise on the merchants website. The company then finds themselves trying to cover the cost of sending out tens of thousands of dollars in equipment purchases in addition to covering corporate overhead.

The credit card processors, such as First Data, so this to reduce exposure claiming to merchant that they are "uncomfortable" processing and funding high average ticket sales over the internet in tough economic times.

You would think this procedure would be criminal. But its in teh small print on a merchant agreement. "We reserve the right to hold any amount of money back from you equalling up to the number of orders you have processed in a given month ... in addition we may also find it neccessary to debit additional monies from the merchants account as we see fit.

TRANSLATION: You're OUT OF BUSINESS if we dont like your business model or we think you dont deserve to start a small business and grow it by getting your profit withing 7 days.

This procedure oftentimes has put many small companies out of business within weeks. Especially if 99% of the merchants transactions are over the internet being paid by credit cards. Google it. In fact, right here on complaintsboard.com there are countless complaints against First Data doing this sort of thing and putting many small companies out of business without warning.

The company the poster is referring to above, has experienced a huge setback directly related to First Data holding their money. And even after the fact teh processor deducted additional money from the companies bank account without warning to cover future reserves. They do this without warning. I repeat, Google "first data complaints" and you will clearly understand what happened to this company as well as thousands just like it.

The good news is the company has made good on any refunds due to customers or has shipped out any equipment on back order.

Best of luck to any of you who have experienced this as a merchant or a consumer!

James
