A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts craft collection make your own glow in the dark bouncing balls

My 11 yr old did this project with my moms assistance. Following all directions and washing his hand several times during the process however, after about 30 minutes of completion both arms broke into what appears to be a chemical burn rash up to his elbows. Is extremely painful and irritated. We have been treating with salves and burn creams but will most likely take him to urgent care for better pain relief. No warning or ingredient labels on the box - this should be remedied immediately by utilizing different packaging with warnings.

I am writing to complain about a manager that is at your store in Altoona Pennsylvania his name is Russ something like that I think it's Russ... the transaction number for my receipt is 92387 store 51 in Altoona Pennsylvania I had purchased three three white lanterns and two gold lanterns both 14 inch of size I bought them on a Friday night it was around 7:18 at night when I went through the line I ask the cashier if they were ever go on sale the cashier said not that they were aware of which is fine.. but come Sunday which is not even two days later I get the newspaper to see that they are on sale for $2 almost $2.50 less each I had already decorated three of the lanterns I did them up with bows and different pics and stuff and I was in town so someday I stopped with my receipt and asked I had the other ones that with me that I did not use or decorate yet and I asked if I could get the difference back to his effect as you know if it was two days later they said we'll yeah that shouldn't be a problem call the manager on duty up and I hear him say absolutely not won't do anything any such thing you can return the lanterns I said you already decorated three lanterns but I have one of each color out here that I bought can I do it that way he was worse than rude if you would have just said no I'm sorry we can't do that for you that's different but he was so rude and said that's not how our policy works we don't do it that way you'll have to bring everything and you have to undecorate that when he was very ignorant I've never been treated like that at AC Moore before I shop there a lot and I don't appreciate being treated like that I'm not sure that I will be shopping in your AC Moore location for long time as long as he's there I definitely know that that is not customer service I work in retail too I understand we get frustrated but you don't have to be ignorant to a customer all I asked was if you could return it and resell it to me for the cheaper price heck I would have returned those and went back and got new ones if I needed to but he wouldn't even refund those for me he said I had to bring everything back and then refunded. I spend a lot of money in there and they could have seen that by the my card cuz I use my card in there all the time but I greatly appreciate it if I hear back from you

Your complaint is very hard to read due to your grammar and run-on sentences. Often times employees are not informed even a day in advance of sales or discounts, so it is understandable that this happened. Since you altered some of the lanterns, they would not have been able to do any discounts or returns/refunds for you on those. However for the non-altered items, you should have been able to do a return and re-purchase. If the sale is still on, you could just try doing that on your own in two separate transactions.

Absolutely the WORST Customer Service I have EVER dealt with! I've contacted the company 3 times about the same issue (changing the name and email address on the account) and they have yet to fix it! Speaking to a representative about the issue while she is being very rude saying i am logging in under the wrong information. How am i logging in under the wrong information when they never changed the information on the account! I would recommend not receiving a rewards card through their company!

A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts employee cashier attitude

On August 30, 2017 at 8:50 a.m. I was waiting in line at the ACMo0re at 100 S. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19110. There was one cashier ("Sabrina")on duty, one person in front of me and two people in back of me. The manager called "Freddy" up to the register to help out, and she took the next person in line. I waited for the initial cashier to stop chatting with the customer she was waiting on. As I approached the checkout county, "Sabrina" then started chatting it up with another sales associate. I said 8 words, "Please hurry, I need to clock in for work." With that, she put my items down, said she's not waiting on my, and walked away to the back room. At that time the store Manager, Dan, was called up to complete my purchase. I voiced my complaint that I felt she walked away from me because she was black and I was white. I am the customer and 8 words do not warrant someone refusing to wait on you. I have worked at my law firm for 38 years and we would fire someone who treated our clients in this manner. I am a professional, professionally dressed, and I was pleasant. I just said 8 words. When she walked away I said, "are you kidding me?" I felt Dan, the manager wouldn't even look me in the eye, offered an apology that felt insincere, and would not have the guts to have a confrontation with his employee. I registered a complaint via phone call with your headquarters and now a written complaint. I'm sure you do not want people with "attitude" problems waiting ... and refusing to wait, on customers. Sabrina's first duty is to wait on the customer ... not start conversations with everyone around her and NOT wait on the customer. Thank you for your anticipated courtesy and cooperation in this regard. My Transaction Number was 032459. Store: 00177, Register 05. The associate number is 2074044 (not sure if Dan switched over to his number on the register). I am happy to answer any further questions.

A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts cashier

Hanes Mall Blvd location in Winston Salem NC. My wife goes in picks up a few items. When she goes to the check out there are approximately 15 people in a line. She just stands to the side to allow the line to go down. After several minutes there are employees that start opening three other registers. So my wife steps over to one of them. She is told that she has to get behind all of the others in the other line. She does, when she gets to the checkout and the cashier scans here rewards card, my wife promptly throws it in the trash. We are never going to shop at A C Moore again. There are other craft stores. We have friends and family that we are going to spread the word. Great customer service.

There are more than 10 different choices and several that I will not go into because my security program alerts that I should not open. A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts rude employee

Good evening,
I go to AC Moore at least 3x a week, but whenever I go in the morning I ALWAYS get this rude, older woman Gail from the Brick, NJ location. She is always so nasty but today was just the last straw with her. All the other employees always ask me if I have a Rewards card, not Gail! I always have to ask her to punch in my phone number. Today she say, "Are you ever going to have your card?!" I then tell her I unfortunately lost it and then she huffs under her breath. Really lady? How hard is it for you to punch a phone number in? I have witnessed several occasions of her rude, nasty attitude to other customers and even fellow employees. This isn't the first time she got nasty with me either. If this woman hates her job so much find a new one...no need to take it out on customers. I don't even wanna go into there in the morning bc I don't want to deal with her nasty self. I really hope this woman sees this and changes her attitude. There is no need for it!

A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts coupon policies

AC Moore sends online subscribers e-mail promotions with coupons that are often good for one day only.

Although the e-mails do not say this, if you go into the store, you can only use ONE coupon per customer, per transaction, per day, so you cannot use all of the coupon deals you are given.

I e-mailed their customer service about this, and the person who responded pretty much said that they do this to avoid people taking advantage by using multiple coupons and trying to get too many discounts.

This is outrageous, and also false advertising by not disclosing this when they offer multiple coupons for one specific day. I don't normally use a lot of coupons, but another customer had this issue in the store, which prompted me to make a comment to them, to which they sent that reply.

I like shopping there, I like the employees, but their coupon policies are insulting. Even the employees are frustrated because they have to tell customers that they can only use one coupon when there is nothing in their advertising that says this.

Perhaps if more people complain, they will eventually change their policy to avoid losing customers.

I am writing an update to my previous complaint. I received an e-mail from A C Moore's Manager of Store Operations, and as of now they have updated their coupon policy due to customer feedback. Customers can now use multiple coupons in one transaction as long as they are not duplicate coupons and are A C Moore store coupons.
Good to know customer feedback actually makes a difference.

A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts conflicting policy

To whom it concerns. I visited your Richmond VA store today and made a large purchase as I usually do since I've located a store not too far from my residence. I hold a military ID card and I also had a 15% off total purchase coupon. In the past I've been allowed to use the coupons in conjunction but today I was denied. I am grateful for the everyday 15% but I think I should have been able to also use the coupon that's given to loyal customers as well. I would appreciate it if all of the employees are on one accord because that would have prevented me from believing that I had the ability to use both. I thank you in advance for your prompt response. I love shopping at your store and don't want any discrepancies to effect my shopping experiences. May you have a blessed day.

A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts framing scam

The Rockville, Md. A.C. Moore has posted outside its store a continuous sale of 55% off framing. If it is a perpetual sale, it is a sham. I recently had two pieces of personal art framed -- one 8x8 the second 9x9. At the time, the store offered an additional 20% off. When I inquired how much the framing would cost without the sales, I was quoted over $300 for the smaller piece and over $400 for the second. Without the additional 20% how much would this have cost me? Over $500? I have never paid such an outrageous price for framing. A.C.Moore is not a high end art store. This is a preposterous business practice. This is psychological manipulation of the consumer, misleading me to believe that I am receiving an outstanding offer. This is unacceptable and dishonest and a deliberate distortion of the true value of its service and product. Thank you.

A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts unfair termination by intimidation

I was forced to leave my job as a stock person in May 2012 after being verbally assaulted by my mgr Mr. Russell Bell. He had previously questioned me in great detail about the circumstances of my suffering from childhood sexual abuse. After learning exactly what I couldn't tolerate, loud angry voices, being intimidated by a man, etc he verbally assaulted me in front of the entire store for at least 30 minutes. The Tribunal Hearing found in my favor, however, after 3 months I was notified ac moore had appealed and when I had my lawyer call to say he was representing me at the Board of Review, he was told they had met and a decision had been made. I was denied representation and of course they found against me. Its been a year and they have finally sent the "transcript" of the hearing. I called them to let them know the transcript was totally inaccuracte, I had taken it all down in shorthand. I am being told I have to do all the motion, filing 5 copies here, 10 copies there. Clearly they are defending a co that employeed a person who violated the law and my rights by questioning me about my abusive past and then using that info to make me quit. He clearly set about to intimidate me, which is easily done to a sexual abuse survivor, plus he has caused numerous flashbacks and awful nightmares about his questioning and then the verbal attack. He could be heard throughout the store and1 employee testified to that fact. I don't have the strength to follow through with all the c*** they require, I feel they should have to drop it as clearly Mr. Bell broke the law and they are compounding that by defending him. When does it end. I am totally disabled, bankrupt, and my home is in foreclosure thanks to no job.

A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts employees need training

I bought a Cuttlebug embossing folder last week when they were on sale for 40% off. When I returned home, I found I duplicated the embossing folder. On Monday, 8/29/2011 I returned to the Lancaster store (Lititz Pike) to exchange it for one I didn't have. I was told that I could NOT exchange it because AC MOORE ONLY gives refunds. I was given $3.17 which is what I paid for the folder. However, the folders were off sale and I could not buy a new embossing folder with that amount of money. I left the store.

I then looked at the back of the receipt on the return policy, (yes, I should have looked at it in the store and shown the woman right then and there)...it clearly states that AC Moore DOES give even exchanges. I went back into the store. Instead of going to the customer service person that I dealt with, I walked through the store looking for the manager, who I did locate and told her the story. I told her all I wanted was another embossing folder in exchange but I was told there were NO exchanges. She walked with me to the embossing folder area, I chose a new one. She then walked up to Customer Service, gave it to the inept Customer Service person and told her to give it to me for the sale price. It was all very simple...that is ALL this customer rep needed to do. Instead, I got a lot of aggravation because this customer rep didn't know what she was talking about.

I am a former employee just got done at a c moore i am writing concerning the abuse going on at the A ac Moore in bangor me 107 my wife sill works their and i am concern at the level of abuss going on in that store I don't underdtand how the assistant manager is getting away with the verbal abuse the threats the constant unacceptable behavior she is out of control when pat was on vacation she was aweful using inappropriate language she is abusive she is combative and given my new job i do i would get fired if i did those things she does and she don't care how aweful she treats you and shes at times abusive harrassment and offensively abusive i feel its trickling down causing that store over time irreversible damage both my wife and I was fes my wife is still one i have been told by customers she so grumpy and never smiles and always points and shes not helpful at all she is making the whole store unhappy the floral person is so abused by her so is one of our FES I feel the store manager should be doing something about her bad behavior but she seems not to care my wife told me the manager knows the way she gets but makes accuses for her she is a very out of control person feel given her authority she feels her actions are o k and they are not it hurts people it hurts our Store it hurts our sales because people down want to do anything for her cause she is so miserable she is bringing down the morale in te store and I promise you if you talk to some of the associates they will tell you how miserable she is and its not just once in a while its everyday she works she feels badgering being disrespectful and she is very disrespectful to just about everyone in that building one time or another it use to be a fun place to work but now with the abuse harassment and what shes doing my work now saids she harrassing peopke intimidating them and to me sometimes shes really abusing associates theres different types of abuse she really is going way to far her actions are not right not fair and its illegal to be treating her associates the way she does and I promise you less and less people are liking her and I don't. Understand the manager she knows what the assistant manager does yet she makes excuses for her over and over i don't know if shes just blind or if she really doesn't get it whats going on in her store but it's not right none of it every associate is a person and no person in that building deserves the harrassment the verbal abuse or the emotional abuse they are getting. Most associates in that building are so happy when she's not their but we have to respect her and do our jobs but you know how I feel it's a two way street you got to respect and use people with respect otherwise that store in time no matter how hard she works or how well she loved by her peers above this stuff going on is going to crush that store it already is people that were their for a long long time very hard workers have left if you don't take care of this situation you will have no one left that is a good worker as my boss said abuse harassment and disrespect will kill a bussiness no matter how hard she works a human being can only with stand so much abuse before enough is enough and they will leave you need to send people in that building enormously and I promise you your going to be shocked at what they see its aweful miserable place to work anymore but you need to investigate enomosly so they won't know who you are but I promise you your going to be shocked at what you witness the lack of respect the abuse and harrassment undercover boss thats what you need I hope you fix the problem cause it use to be a happy and fun place to work untill the assistant manager came and you no it's such a shame cause the assistant manager is so smart and produces so much work and makes the store look so nice but she's a menace and such a abusive person with such a bad potty mouth and she will take a good day and turn it in to a horrible one and the saddest thing is it is destroying the whole store and it trickles down from the associates to the customers they have said at checkouts they can feel the tention and everyone has such long faces how your treated makes for how your customer service will be happy associare make happy customers a woman that worked for A C Moore for a long time and was a prodigy at customer service and customers just loved her made me realize how true it was happy associates make happy customers and trained associates makes for great customer service but you have to take care of the satin thats bringng the bangor A C Moore down assistant manager needs to be set straight before its to late for your bangor Store when you visit everyone is talked too or as I call it Brainwashed cause their told they need to act a certain way or their job is on the line or they will get something thrown at them or they feel they will be demised by the assistant manager no one wants to put up with her foolishness anymore after awhile its very wearing on you psychologically So you just come do your job and pray you can be done and gone please for my family and friends make this a priority and look into the things happening that shouldn't be and fix them i took the time to write this i don't usually put this kind of time into anything but i care i want A C Moore to be the way it use to be before the assistant came thank you i do hope you will care enough for you store and your good people in it that's being abused and fix it back to they way it use to be
