I purchased an EKG machine from Absolute Medical in August 2007. The LCD display did not work upon receipt. It took me 3 weeks before I finally was able to get through and speak with someone in tech support (I left several messages, none of which were returned). After receiving a new LCD, it did not work either. I immediately began contacting them again. I left several messages (none of which were returned). Finally, one day someone answered the phone. He told me that he would call me right back. Never happened. I began calling again and leaving messages. No return calls. I sent an email that was returned telling me to contact Ashley. I left Ashley a message, never getting a return call. On 10/18/07 I called and spoke to a female who assured me that she would call me first thing the following morning. No call. I am totally frustrated and am stuck with an EKG machine that does not work.

I would like to make an addendum to the complaint I made previously about Absolute medical. After 6 months they did finally give me back the 7000$ they owed me. I bought a cypress Ultrasound machine from Absolute Medical for 18, 000$. I returned it, in person with 30 days. With the help of American Express I was able to obtain a 10, 000$ credit card refund. They had agreed to send me 7000$ by check. I called them multiple times, and they intially ignored my requests. However when I re-opened the Dispute with American express they stopped ignoring my calls and returned the money.

I bought a cypress echo machine for 18, 000$ from absolute medical. I personally returned it within 30 days and they offered a credit of 17, 000 on american expesss. However, I originally paid them 10, 000 by amex and 8000 by check. They have tried to avoid returning me my money even though they credited the money back on their credit card reader. Be very careful to do business with this company.

Unfortunately the treatment of suppliers is no better than their treatment of customers. In my case they have not honored their payment commitment for an equipment purchase. The equipment that I sold did come from a reputable source.
They do not return phone calls or answer emails.

I bought 2 ultrasound machines, 1 EKG, 1 spirometry unit, and one autoclave from Absolute Medical this year. They required a check for the full amout of $35, 000 in advance, which I faxed then sent. The equipment arrived three weeks later than I was told it would, and it arrived one piece at a time, and every piece of equipment was defective. The equipment was missing parts in all cases except the EKG machine, which had loose wires and couldn't record EKGs reliably. The ultrasound unit that arrived first had no back panel so it couldn't be plugged in. I called Absolute Medical and told them I wanted to return it all. They were terrible--never refunded the $35, 000 despite many many calls, and although they authorized return of the goods, they stopped answering my calls when they failed to refund the money. I am now working with an attorney, the State's Attorney's office, the Better Business Bureau, and local authorities to get this money back. This company is fraudulent, and they sell terrible equipment--not even close to the manufacturers' standards. Their website is full of lies. For example, "No Hassle Returns"--nothing could be further from the truth. For a busy Family Physician starting up a new office, this has been a nightmare for me because this was cash I desperately needed to get back in order to stay afloat.
