ABS Products fraud

The President, Paul Kilmar promised to contact creditors and set up payments. He did not do that at all. I was contacted by one creditor with a settlement and Kilmar said it was a better offer than he could have gotten. Then he was to contact MBNA via an attorney. He claimed he contacted them, they said he did not. After several months vowing he was in touch with them, I found he lied and I now have a judgment filed against me. I am trying to refinance our home. With a judgment that is impossible. I contacted him and he promises to let me know how to get out of this mess. I have not heard from him but the other day he callecd and asked for information. HAH, I thought he was in contact with them. Do not use this man, he is a fraud.

ABS Products ARCO Manager

I witness something today that was unbelievable. This lady was politely waiting for the two cashiers to quit talking to each other about their personal problems. The Cashier said "can I help you" the customer said 35 dollars on 2 and these items. While the cashier was ringing up the purchases, she continued to chat about personal things to the other cashiers. The lady paid and left to go to the pump. The lady returned stating the cashier did not give her gas on pump 2. The customer said I clearly told you. At no time did the cashier apologize and ring the customer again. The customer finally had enough of the rudeness and asked for the manager. THE MANAGER was the other rude cashier! Yes, the other rude cashier compaining about her living arrangements with the first cashier turn and said she was the manager and did the customer have a problem because the customer was wrong. The customer requested the owner and this time the manager said she too was the owner. Now I know the owner of the Marysville, CA Arco Gas Station and it certainly was not that blond idiot. The manager had frustrated the customer so badly and refused any further service after taking the $35 refusing to provide the fuel. The manager should be fired! The customer left really man and yelled at the cashier that she was a ###. Well, the customer was wrong to curse but the manager should not have lied and refused service

ABS Products Senior Area Manager

If offered a position with this company run for your life. This company operates under ABS-US Divison, GPS
and was IPA until they though the heat was so turned up they would change names. The CEO of IPA now has his son in charge of this latest venture but make no mistake everything else including the location of the home office and most of the original employees are still operating the same unethical way. Already ABS is proud to
have an F rating with the BBB. They will tell you how they will provide you with 2-3 appointments with business owners that most of the time have no idea why you are there. The calls to these business owners are
relentless from a group of mostly young snot nose kids taught to get you in anyway possible even if it takes lying.
They will bring to the Chicago area (of course you must pay for the flight up front) let you eat a couple of cheesy
hotel buffets and work hard to brain wash you into scripts, that you won;t use because in the end they want you to use spin selling techniques to convice the business owner that they are going to fail and you are there to rescue them from this economy by taking every last dime they have. You job is to sell a relativly inexpense
Analysis survey done by the salesman to visit the very next day if possible. This cost from 400-2600 dollars for
the Analyst to do a very basic survey and further sell the big project that will entail an hourly rate and 2-3
project specialist to take the business out of its terrible state, then presto they had the owner a bill for 12, 000
20, 000 all in a weeks work. You get paid with the Analyst picks up the check for the survey you sold IF he picks up the check which frequently doesn;t happen because most of the time the business owner will come to there senses and realize what a scam this service is and will start looking on the internet at the fine reputation this organization has...lol. that was a joke. If fact this whole company is a joke a very bad one. STAY AWAY..don;t worked for these idiots save yourself some time, money and most of all your reputation...good luck but keep looking.

In 2005 I went through the training at IPA and found it to be a very rewarding experience. I went out into the field and went on 8 business analysis appointments of which 4 agreed to consulting services. Unfortunately I had a car wreck and some health issues while on an assignment. I was fired by my manager at the corporate office and as has been stated I was not paid most of my commission because I was in that 4 week window. The expense stipend is not enough to cover expenses as was promised. But even with all of that said you would think I would have hated my experience at IPA but it was the best learning experience I have ever had from any source. Yes! They are high pressure and Yes! They push their people hard! But if a business owner is mired in the pain of being overwhelmed by their business in order to help them they must realize their condition. I had 6 of my 8 visits with businesses include my findings report being accompanied by tears and anger. They realized that they were headed to Bankruptcy court and their families would be ruined. 4 of them choose to take the positive step of letting the IPA consultants come in to their businesses. Two business owners after crying (One tried to through me out after I gave him an ad I tore out for a bankruptcy attorney) decided they would try it on their own. After I was fired and recovered I had the opportunity to be in PA where both were located and they both were out of business so they were not able to correct there bad management. Of the four that accepted services I know one is still in business in Michigan and has opened 2 more stores so IPA must not have hurt. One called me after seeing me speak in my current business and said he thought I was great after (Even though I was more than likely one of the few people to make this architect cry and admit he was not perfect) my visit but the consultants did a fair job but were not as good as he hoped for at the start of the project. He did pay a total of $55, 000 to IPA. He hired my firm to advise his clients on security planning in regards to disaster relief. The other two I do not know what happen to them. But business is tough and some people can't make the corrections themselves and IPA fills that need. Even though they might be aggressive and have problems they do help some. I wonder it seems many people on here are like myself and have been fired or had IPA maybe take money out of services they wanted to bill the IPA client for but the client choose IPA. But it is understandable if you are not up to the job and they make you realize your own failures a person gets upset and blames the messenger. I wish IPA had not fired me I loved the job but I can never repay them for the tools they gave me. Since leaving IPA I have partnered with Intelligence and Counter Intelligence former officers to form a security and threat assessment business that caters to helping companies put together disaster plans to keep operations going in disasters, Corporate security, threat assessment, DOD contracting, IT security issues and other things that help medium to large companies be ready to act to anything that may try to hurt their revenue stream. I could not have done this without the training I received from my trainers and John Burgess. I still remember a short conversation I had with him and his advice I use to this day. Business owners that hire IPA and then complain maybe they just can't accept the changes necessary to make their businesses survive. Complaints about their collections activities are just plain dumb. If a business signs the paper work that is very clear then stops paying for worked performed they need to be aggressively pursued up to the constraints under the law. You may scoff at IPA saying many complaints are from people that owe money and laugh that off but what if someone owed you money would you just write it off and bend over? If so lend me some money and I am sure John Burgess might take a loan to if you start making them. Many times I have thought about contacting IPA and offering to partner with them to offer our services to businesses for disaster planning, security analysis or other services businesses need to ensure their survival in a disaster or terrorist attack. Because I would not be ashamed of their representatives selling our services because how else do businesses know about the platforms that are out there for businesses unless they go market it. Someone mentioned sending businesses to the SBA well that would be great but a business that is about to hit a wall does not have time or the mental ability to wait weeks for SBA to offer help one hour at a time. So give IPA a break and lay off John Burgess for his problems in life like being disbarred or lawsuits. Because we all make mistakes you might not be surprised to learn I was disbarred from the practice of law. I made mistakes we all have but if a person is out there fighting for success we all might make a few. The government does I hold a security clearance so even the government looks at the whole person. I have always found I learn more from people that have lived a real life and made mistakes than from a person that has never lived. The same is true in Business. Sorry for this rant but I just happen to come up on this web site while flying back from Iraq and it got me thinking what I owe IPA for the success I have had since being fired. Instead of hating and dumping on IPA for trying to help small businesses why don't all the downers go out and help small to medium size businesses. If you can't then maybe that is why you left IPA and just shut up! If you would like to get pissed at me email me at ThankyouIPAandJB@myway.com.

Oh yeah, exABSemployee, you nailed it! I "interviewed" with them. Just a few weeks ago when I was researching them I could not find any negative info about the company, only really positive comments on "pissed consumer". After accepting the job offer and bought a ticket to Chicago, I reviewed those comments again, and this time noticed something odd; they were all rather recent, and supposedly from different business owners from various areas, but they all sounded somewhat similar in tone. I found it very odd, so I eventually noticed the similarity between IPA and ABS and noticed any complaints that were clearly very negative, when clicked on for full view, came up with a standard company statement, as if the complaint were written over by them. So now I kept researching IPA and OMG I was horrified by what I found. The Il AG filed suit against the owner John Burgess in '09, and in Jan '08 CNBC did a story on a major sexual harassment case at IPA

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8-zbmZTTM0

The son of John Burgess you mentioned, the one now running ABS, supposedly asked one of the female employees to sit in his lap while watching porn on his computer.

Also their BBB rating is an "F". Really? Can't imagine why...

They seem to be a complete alphabet soup of names, constantly changing, presumably to escape discovery of their hideous truth. In this internet era it's hard for a company this slimy to hide. (ABS, GPS, IPA, SMS, ROI...very clever choices of names. Google ABS and you get hits on 6 pack abs; google GPS and you get global positioning; google SMS and you get text messaging hits; google ROI and it's all about return on investment; it's a very very clever way to hide...)

Last week I went ahead and canceled my flight.

I see you posted the above comment yesterday. I wish you had a couple weeks back..you would have saved me the hassle of canceling a flight and getting hit with a re-booking fee. But hopefully by getting the info out we will save future suckers...

Run, don't walk, away from these crooks.
