David Cassidy: The Last Session is not what I would like to see in a documentary about David. He was an immensely talented singer, songwriter, musician, actor and producer.
He is loved by his many fans and he loved them too. I don't want to see David Ill, crying and in pain on television. This is very upsetting and not a tribute to such a talented man. A documentary showing his talent has sadly not been made.
The preview of the Last Session documentary is painful and distressing enough. Please respect his memory and do not show this.
The documentary has recently been shown on UK TV and, as a once-upon-a-time major David fan, I found it very moving. I also felt some guilt that I was one of the many who, eventually, destroyed him to an extent. Something of a tragic figure. But I will always remember him with great fondness. Collecting photos, going to concerts in England and, some years later, watching him in Blood Brothers in London’s theatre-land. I was about 35 at the time and sitting in the front row. Having been kept at a great distance from him all those years ago, I suddenly had a terribly feeling I might grab his leg, which was there right in front of me. So I sat on my hands for two hours just in case. It just goes to show how some things never leave you.

I agree with everything Elly1 has written here; some of this will be hard to watch but i'm sure if what was being filmed wasn't something David didn't want shown publicly then he wouldn't have agreed for the filming to happen; it is a huge shame that this isn't going to be seen outside the USA though thanks to certain networks that refuse to show it...thank you A & E

Glad that this will be airing. David was an honest man and many times spoke of his struggles. He wanted to share with his fans, I think he would have wanted this as well. Of course it is sad, and of course it'll be hard to watch him in pain, but our hearts will be over flowing with love and the compassion of what he went through. Thank you for sharing it with us, his fans!

So pleased this is going to be shown. David’s life was a tragedy at the end and his story needs to be heard. He still has many thousands of fans around the world. He was severely underrated in life, his talent and his struggles to be accepted as a talented musician, artist and actor were never truly recognised and now his story and his legacy must live on. I am looking forward to seeing this and hope it can be shown in other countries too. David has a huge following out there of grieving fans and there is still a market for his work.
It’s going to be hard to watch. But, I’m looking for a little clarity about what really happened in his own words, as well as to celebrate this beautiful man, his immense talent and music. I’m stocking up on the Kleenex! Thanks for doing The Last Session: David Cassidy documentary A&E!
DC gave his blessing to this documentary and very pleased it is being shown. I just hope there will be a way of watching it for those of us who don't live in the USA.

This is wonderful and I can not wait to see it. Some of the footage, I’m sure, will be sad. I hate seeing him so broken, but it is the reality and we, his true fans, love him anyways !

I know I had concerns when I saw the trailer showing David ill and frail. I wanted David's bio to be represented with dignity and respect. Upon further consideration, I feel that I want to experience all aspects of David's life; even the struggles with his health. I feel that A & E will present a respectful depiction of David's life, and I look forward to seeing it. Thank you, A & E for completing this documentary on David Cassidy's life. Thank you for honoring him.
I had been looking forward to this Documentary for awhile. I knew it would be sad, so I expected that, after all, we didn't live under a rock and KNEW David had lived a sad life. This is what David wanted to share with his fans. He had always been open and honest with us, and I truly believe he felt LOVED by his fans.
A&E did an exceptional job as well as everyone involved. They showed respect to him, and it was tastefully done. For anyone who objected to it for other reasons other than it being sad, shame on you. He wanted the last word and he got it.

Thank you A&E! I want to see the show. I realize some parts may be sad but so is reading about his life. Everyone has a story and if you live long enough there will be the good, the bad, and the ugly. Life happens. I just want to see and hear the truth ...whatever it may be.
