Julia Forte tried to extort money from me. I'm a girl's high school soccer coach, and someone wrote sleazy comments about me on 800notes.com. I think it might be students from a school that we played against. Well, when i read them, i was really upset. It had nothing to do with telemarketing. So i contacted julia forte to ask her if she will remove the...

If you are considering advertising on Julia Forte’s website 800notes.com, DON’T. Julia Forte may steal your money. I paid Julia Forte of 800notes.com in Holly Springs North Carolina a considerable sum of money for a banner ad on her website and a link to my website. After I paid her I did not hear from her once she got the money. My ad never went up on her...

If you pay Julia Forte and 800notes.com to advertise on their website PLEASE read about what Julia Forte has done to my son who is a minor and determine if you still want to support this website. I am a mother and my son is 17-years-old. He is a junior in high school and is starting to apply to different colleges. Recently my son and his girlfriend broke...

800Notes.com Harrassment and Slander

Julia Forte of 800notes.com in Holly Springs, North Carolina allowed false complaints about me to be posted on her website, refused to take them down, added more of her own, and then tried to blackmail me to have them removed.

I own my own construction company. I am not a telemarketer and have never made a cold call for my business. One day it was brought to my attention that someone had wrote slanderous material about myself and my company on the site 800notes.com.

I visited this website, read the slanderous and hurtful false claims, then I saw that this website was regarding telemarketers and cold callers. I have never made a cold call so I located the email address of Julia Forte, the 800notes owner, and emailed her explaining that I have never made a cold call so this was clearly a false post and to please remove the post.

I also realized that Julia Forte does not check the credibility of any of the posts on her site and allows anything about anyone to be posted on there whether they are true or not. This post about me could have been made by a competitor, a disgruntled former employee, or even an old high school person I didn't get along with. I couldn't believe this site allowed just anything to be posted on there.

Julia Forte emailed me back something about how some amendment of the constitution protects her site and that she will not remove the post. I emailed her back with my direct cell phone number (my business number was the one used on the site) and asked her to please call me about the false claims and I wanted to explain that my business does not even make telemarketing calls.

Julia Forte called me alright. She told me that she'd be happy to remove the post - for a fee of $1000! I said "No thank you, Ms. Forte. That one post about me online doesn't bother me that much." Julia Forte angrily hung up the phone.

The next day I checked out the site to see if maybe Julia Forte came to her senses and removed the post. Not only did she not remove the post but suddenly THREE more posts that were much more slanderous about me were posted! Since I told Julia the one post didn't bother me she clearly added more herself hoping that would make me pay her off to remove the posts. I refuse to give in to this woman's blackmail but it's too bad she is using the internet against innocent people to try to make her own profit. I sure hope that one day this woman's poor ethics are put to a stop.

I have tried to post on her site about a number and using NoMoRobo which is FTC Approved and every time I try to mention anything about them someone called SLIM always makes rude hateful comments and then my post is Moderator Pending which makes me believe Slim is a Moderator so this site is a total scam in itself..I will never Post on it again and hope other people get the message and do not..It is not a site for free speech and I believe the above complaint that this site would do something unethical..The site needs to be picketed..

Mods are senseless low IQ / low class troll bullies - to be seen to be believed

The moderators like BigA, TygerKat, etc, have a severe Narcissistic Personality Disorder; a pervasive pattern of grandiosity and self-importance, need for admiration, and lack of empathy. All are rude and make no sense.

Disrespect, anger, hostility, arrogance & aggression is what they live for so you can just imagine what these creeps look like in real life.

These bullies attempt to gives away their shame by denigrating you and use this holier-than-thou behavior as a way to feel good about themselves. Challenged goofs.

They "Provide No Value" to the site and quash usable information & bully people in an attempt to preserve their inflated egos. One could swear they work for the telemarketers and scammers.

I use any other site than these poor excuse for human beings'. 800 Notes will be history some day and these losers will suffer in life due to their totalitarian and challenged mentality in poetic justice.

800notes is an incredible database and very useful.

The one caveat that I have is this: many people go there hoping to find legal advice. The site is infested with any number of anonymous posters, many of whom are there as paid employees of debt collections agencies, posting away in an apparent conflict of interest in the hopes of making the collection of money - which may or may not be rightfully theirs - easier with the posting of untrue 'facts' regarding the laws of debt collection. Many of us refer to 800notes, jokingly, as 'The debt Collectors Convention.'

Again, I think that this is a wonderful database but it shouldn't be used for anything beyond that. If you need help with a collection agency, talk to a lawyer (in person).
