Here is the email I initially sent priceline.. . essentially I wanted a 4 star hotel only.. .. . and got a 3 star .. . they are deceptive and misleading as even when I called the costa mesa Hilton and checked their OWN website they are not even a 3 1/2 star hotel they are a 3 star hotel. . .

Thus if I wanted a 3 star hotel I would have bid for that and would have paid significantly less!

This weekend we are taking my mother in law to Disneyland for her birthday and we wanted everything to be perfect from Disney pass already bought to the 4 star hotel to her being flown out from Michigan so that the whole experienced could be one that she would never forget and we specifically wanted only 4 STAR hotels and nothing lower than that so you can understand how shocked we were to have gotten a sub standard misleading hotel that is a 3 star.. . i dont know what your research entails. . .but my investigative research has left me with the conclusion that this is not even a 4 not even a 31/2 star. . .but dont take my word for it.

You can call the Hilton directly [[protected]] (and inquire like I did and they told me they are a "3 star and trying to be a 4 star. .. that is what are manager wants us to say. . {chuckle}.. ." well I am not chuckling. . .I had provided you with links to two notable travel website including expedia

and you provided me with orbitz which ranks them a 4 star however you or I do not have to turn to independent travel sites one only have to contact the hotel directly which I DID. . .and upon questioning of their star level and quality they stated like i mentioned above that they are a 3 star hotel and WHEN YOU GO DIRECTLY TO THE HILTON WEBSITE. . . they are rated a 3 star. ..

Well you state"Per our Quality Experience Guarantee, your hotel has been star-rated by priceline according to our rigorous rating system. This means that our hotel staff has researched your hotel, reviewed customer comments and compared star ratings assigned by other rating services"

well the hotel themselves say it is 3 star.. so this means (1) your staff didn't do their research or (2) you are being deceptive and misleading and if it is the latter.. . then I will file a complaint with the better business bureau


So as today is our check in date that leaves three options (1) you give us 50 percent off off our already paid price for a 3 star hotel (2) you place us at a four star hotel in the area for the same price such as Hyatt or Marriott in Newport(3) you do nothing and not fulfill your promise to the consumer.
