4crests.com / 14-21day delivery=48days! Poor communication
March 24: I ordered an item from FC and paid $87.94 thru Paypal(thankfully I used Paypal)
April 19: I emailed an inquiry about when to expect delivery of my item. Received NO response.
April 25: I emailed them again using another of my email accounts in case the problem was with my email. This time I receive an automated response saying we have received your inquiry and will get back to you within 4 days.
April 30: Since I hadn’t heard back from them; I emailed my 3rd inquiry, and asked them when I could expect my item to arrive.
May 1: I finally received a response from Michele saying that the item I ordered usually takes 14 to 21 days.
May 3: I emailed again thanking them for finally responding and told them it has now been 40(forty) days since I ordered and paid for my item!
Paypal gives you 45 days from the date of transaction to file a dispute, so on
May 6, I had to file a dispute with Paypal before the deadline was up. I have to give them 7 more days for delivery before it can be escalated to a claim.
May 10: As of this date, I have had no response from them.
May 11: Still no communication with Family Crests, but Paypal sent an email saying the company has shipped the item.
May 11: Hoorah! The item did arrive! I guess filing a dispute with Paypal got their attention.
In retrospect I would never have done business with this company, if only I had first checked them out on the Internet. I have found quite a few consumer complaint sites, plus the Better Business Bureau site(not BBB accredited and received an “F” grade) listing many of complaints against them.
Do some simple research before you use this company!
