I find it odd that a company is allowed to showed such open discrimination against a segment of the population in Thailand. As a person that is in the country on a valid work permit, pay taxes as well, is not afforded the same service as the locals are. And only by this company I may add. All other companies offering the very same service, have never asked such ludicrous things of potential clients. This company demands 6 months advance payment for their internet service, and solely on the fact that I am a foreigner. They say it is normally 12 months, but will give it for 6 months!
When I asked why they are doing this, they say it is because I am a foreigner, and it is their policy to do this for foreigners. So this is discrimination against us living here legally paying taxes. Open discrimination, and they seem to be getting away with it as well. They say I must understand that I am getting free installation. Wow, I get that from other providers as well. So nothing new on that side. So try again.
They will not budge on this, as something needs to be done. I no longer want their service due to this, but this company cannot be allowed to openly show something like this. I foresee a massive law suite against them.
