I bought a new 2017 ram 2500 truck with a 6.4 liter hemi. At 11 months the transmission wnnt out ana a brand new one was put in, at MY cost of $5400, even though we were told that it was due to a factory defect. At that time we were told that the new transmission had a 3 year unlimited mile guarantee. 11 months later the transmission failed. It was rebuilt at another Dodge dealership at no cost due to the guarantee. (Keep in mind they kept it over 3 weeks and gave us a loaner for the last week). 2 weeks later it's back in the shop, another dealership. We are now told that a cooling fan was not put back on, ruining the transmission and we need a new one. Dodge has offered to pay 1/2. How can you A. Have a 3 year guarantee and it not cover. B. NOT put a part on and hold me responsible. C. Offer to pay 1/2 without admitting guilt?
At this point I'm being held hostage. I would not own anoer Dodge if it were given to me. I'd have it taken to ANY other dealership and trade it in. I wouldn't sell it, that's unfair to the buyer for me to sell junk, and I wouldn't donate it because that too would be taking advantage.
I have trashed Dodge to every one I know, and trust me, unless there is a miracle I will continue to do so. Show me the money Dodge. Make it right that your first transmission that wasn't made right at factory, or the second that the tech didn't know how to rebuild what they rebuilt, or the third one that should IN NO WAY be my responsibility. Show me you guys give a flip. Show me ONE reason to say something good about that piece of crap truck and the dealerships
