2010 Chevy Malibu Poor quality

We purchased a new 2010 Chevy Malibu in July of this year (2010). The vehicle looks great, but shortly after driving it off the lot I noticed a shimmy in one of the tires and clunking noises in the undercarriage. I have had the vehicle in 3 times to get these issues resolved, but they have not been able to, despite great effort by the local service department. I have come to the conclusion that the vehicle is simply poorly built. It drives like a go-cart. The suspension is rigid. On any rough surface, steering feels unsteady, wobbly and there is significant road noise. I have to crank up the Bose sound system to mask the vehicle noise. It's a very disappointing vehicle and if there was a way to get out of it, even trade it down for a different make, I'd do it in a second. I would recommend against purchasing a Malibu until you have carefully road tested one for a week or two.

I likewise have a 2010 Chevy Malibu LTZ that I purchased from Titus Will Chevrolet in Olympia, WA. The car has had persistent knocking noises in the suspension. I have repeatedly taken it to the dealer for warranty repair, but they have been unable to resolve it. Finally, they indicated it was operating according to manufacturer's specs. I called GM corporate and they told me to go to another service shop. I've given Titus Will several opportunities to make good on their bad sales deal to me, but they refuse. I would not purchase a vehicle from them again. We had previously purchase 6 other vehicles from their dealership.

I have a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu hybrid and the air conditioning compressor has failed at 38000 miles. Chevrolet dealer needs $2180 to repair this. Should I go ahead and have them repair this by having them put in another poor quality compressor? Doesn't make sense does it. I am going to have it repaired but only because i need the air conditioning running in order to sell the vehicle! No more american cars for me. They used to know how to build good quality cars but not any more.

I have a 2010 Chevy Malibu and I bought it with 4 miles on the odometer. I drove it for 1 week and it stalled on me while traveling about 30 miles per hour. I thought it was bad gas so I didn't pay it much attention. We traveled 300 miles that weekend and with new fuel it stalled 3 times while driving. I brought the car in for service and it stalled on them finally last week. I have owed the car about 1 month now and it has 890 miles on it from them test driving the crap out of it. I have only had my car 1 week out of the whole time I have owned it. The worst part is I was driving a loaner vehicle off of the showroom floor it also stalled on me. Is anyone else having this issue? I wouldn't suggest anyone buying this vehicle either.

I bought a NEW 2010 Chevy Malibu in September (2009). Here we are, January 15, 2010 and my car has been in the shop 4 times for a total of 21 days!! First, I noticed water coming in from under the dash/kick panel on the passenger side. I took it to Carl Black of Kennesaw, GA. Their "Techs" could not find the leak. I only find out after a few days the...
