These guys claimed to be my student lender and so asked me to help them fill in the missing information, which was my social security number. Any lender would have this information already, so if you get a call from this company, do not give them any information, as they are a fraud.

I have received at least one call per day from a lady named 'Alex' saying she is from Scholastic Funding Group # [protected] from New Jersey. I have repeatedly asked them to stop calling, sometimes getting quite rude myself. Yet they keep calling. I will not finish with school for years! This has been going on for months! When will it end?!?!? I have become hostile towards other callers because of them. I just want it to stop. Every night it is the same thing. It is very pathetic!

I've been having the same problems! They call no less than 4 times a day and I've always ignored them because I'm not interested, but it's getting really old! So today I answered and told the lady that I'm tired of getting their calls and asked if they would remove me from their calling list. She started her sympathy routine and apologized and then started her pitch again. I asked nicely at least 7 or 8 times but she kept pushing, saying things like it's really important, rates go up in July, "I would do this if I were you". I would've hung up on her except I wanted to be sure they wouldn't call me back. Finally my husband took the phone and bluntly asked for her supervisor. She tried giving him the same info and he just kept calmly asking to talk to her supervisor and she ended up hanging up on him! So I googled the number and it brought me here. There has to be something we can do to stop this! I'm still in college and my loans aren't that high but they keep calling! The number comes up as New Jersey [protected] on my Caller ID, so we called them back and it rang and rang and finally went to a "full mailbox" recording. If you get a call from them don't give them any info.

They have been calling me CONSTANTLY for the last few weeks now. The first time I answered, it was a woman saying she was from Scholastic Funding Corp. calling to help me reduce my student loan rates as part of a federal program ... but then continued to push for my SS #. I refused to give it. I asked for their web address, and found this complaints board. I have since ignored their calls.

However, I did answer one more call and asked to be put on their "do not call" list, but they obviously do not abide to rules as they just called me again at 5 am this morning! They are completely harassing!

They called me saying that they were updating my student loan information as well. When they asked for my SS#, I asked them which lender they were calling from and they couldn't answer.. The woman hung up on me. That doesn't scream fraud or anything right there lol.

I had this same number call my parents house (how they got their number, since I can barley remember it, let alone give it out in reference to anything. As you would not be able to reach me there.) yet this time it was a female they say. asking about my info and school loans. need less to say I googled the number and it brought me here. My recommendations would be, if you didn't initiate the contact or they don't identify themselves as your lender and they are asking for information that the lender should already have, then something is fishy. sometimes I wish i could send an electrical jolt down the phone line, just to see how serious these people are :)

A man , who gave [protected] as his return phone number, called and asked for my daughter who is living away at school. He told my wife that he was calling about daughter's student loan. I was unavailable to take the call and find that the return # rings to a full mailbox. Beware!

All my daughter's loans have been independent from me and my home telephone number has never been associated with her applications. He was phishing for personal information.
