20 Session Gym Card / Customer Service?
I brought a 20 session gym card with a gym I had been going to on and off the past 10 years. After using the first session on my card I had accidentally misplaced my card and kindly explained the situation to the gym staff and showed them my receipt to get a replacement card. The gym staff then said that it was bad luck and that I would have to purchase a brand new card. When I explained that I was upset about this because that means in affect I had paid $120 for one 45 minute Pump class he said in front of other customers that he doesn't know that I could have just given my card to a friend to use or use it in future for myself just to claim extra sessions. I was completely embarrassed and upset and asked the Gym Manager about what had happened to treating your loyal customers with respect and he just said that I had only being going there for 10 years when he has customers going there for 30 years! I then advised him since I was only 27 there is no way that I could be that loyal just yet and having been going there for 10 years thought that was loyal enough. He then told me he had the monopoly on the gyms in that area because he had a swimming pool and sauna then told me to get out because he didn't need my business anyway!
