1000Bulbs Extremely pleased with my purchase

I have been a designer for the last 30 years and one of the most important aspects of interior designing is of course your lighting plan. I recently ordered lightbulbs from 1000bulbs.com for recessed lighting I had installed in my study. I had a very difficult time finding the lightbulbs I needed which have a very narrow beam spread. 1000bulbs.com had multiple choices within the parameters that I wanted and the helpfulness from the support team was a refreshing change from the usual service that many companies provide. I will definitely order from this company again and I highly recommend them. I am extremely pleased with my purchase.

1000Bulbs A Smile Maker

Everything was perfect, the price, the quick delivery, the product and the smile it put on my sister's face! My sister was looking for the blinking, clear candelabra bulbs for several years but could not find them so I told hear I would search online for her since she did not have the capability of doing so. These hard to find bulbs were exactly what she wanted for her favorite vintage red cluster Christmas bells. She was so incredibly happy and said it was the best gift she had gotten in years with tears in her eyes! Thank you 1000Bulbs for just being AWESOME and in turn giving me a feel good moment seeing someone so appreciative and happy to receive a long sought after light bulb. (She now has 50 of them so she will never be without again)!

1000Bulbs It's alive!

I am an ordinary homeowner, my expertise limited to repairs to normal house-current items. You know - 100,111, whatever it takes. For my first foray into industrial lighting I decided to pick up a high-pressure sodium bulb from the local big-box store. Gotta start somewhere. They need a ballast in order to operate, but I'm not anointed with wisdom in the ways of serious electrical devices such as that. Well, 1000Bulbs' website walked me right through it. I needed an ANSI S54 ballast for my 100-watt high pressure sodium bulb. There were 10 to choose from, and from perusing the online spec sheets I discovered that the Howard Industries unit was made in Laurel, Mississippi. That's just up the road from where I used to live! I would gladly support a local manufacturer, so I ordered that one. It showed up on my doorstep a couple of days later, complete with mounting kit, specification sheet and connection schematic. I hooked everything up the way the schematic said to and plugged it in. The ballast unit hummed, the sodium tube inside the bulb started to glow at each end, and slowly the glowing segments grew towards eachother and merged into a brilliant yellow source of quantum-emission photons at the intensity of 9200 lumens, more or less. It worked, and I put it all together with parts and technical direction from 1000Bulbs! Is that cool or what? (Yeah, about 2000 Kelvin.)

1000Bulbs Easy ordering, quick delivery, superb product

I would not ordinarily bother leaving a review of the purchase of light bulbs, but I am so pleased with this purchase that I want to share the great experience. In my house there are three different fixtures that use G9 bulbs. I purchased and installed those three fixtures, each of which uses three G9 bulbs, back in 2012 when I bought the house. Since that time I have converted to almost all LED bulbs throughout the house, but have not had luck finding G9 LEF bulbs at local stores so the three fixtures remained with halogen bulbs. The halogen bulbs put out nice light but they burn incredibly hot and use a lot of energy. I finally wanted to make the switch to LED bulbs for these fixtures. I bought 9 bulbs from another seller and hated the color of light and the sloppy fit of the bulbs in the fixture. Those were returned. I then gave these a try and I could not be any happier. The light output is similar to the halogen though I like it even better - it's bright light and nicely distributed light without being harsh. So now I have three of these bulbs in each of the three fixtures that use G9 bulbs (kids' bathroom, a study, and a home office) and I could not be happier. Now instead of paying for electric consumption to produce light and a bunch of intense heat in these fixtures, the energy being used is going almost entirely to production of light. I'm also pleased with the base - the bulbs are seated in the fixture better than was the case with my first purchase (different seller and different bulb manufacturer). Bulb is listed as PLT *** G9 LED - 4W - 380 Lumens - 3000 Kelvin 120 Volt - I guess it's equivalent to 40w bulbs but honestly it seems slightly brighter and crisper than the 49w halogens that had been in the fixtures.

Great Customer Service. I phoned them two different times after I had placed an order. They were very polite and worked with me to resolve my problem. On one of the phone calls, the lady told me one thing, but then found that was not the correct answer, and immediately phoned me to give me the correct information.

1000Bulbs Not for the commercial market!

I own a sign company and received an advertisement for a new type of T8 LED lamp from Satco that could be used in LED retrofits of sign. Currently in our industry we are moving away from florescent bulbs to LED and an LED tube is the ideal way to accomplish this with lower cost then rebuilding the entire inside of a sign. There are a few premium LED bulbs available but they come with a large price tag. In trying to make the cost of and LED upgrade affordable to my larger project customers that can reach prices in the thousands and we also work with local power companies that offer LED incentives to switch signs over so I considered these tubes. After buying over $1500 in product and installing them. I come to find that these tubes do not meet industry standards to be energy star efficient and won't work with the incentives. They will fail at higher temperatures in excess of 113 degrees which signs having no thermal control can reach in hotter summer months so a critical failure point even with a warranty this is problematic for a companies reputation. For this reason these Satco bulbs are not accepted into the energy efficiency program. I accept that I should have done further research. In doing so I would have stuck with products I know and trust, but I was just looking out for my customer.

In trying to contact 1000 bulbs to send the product back I find that I must pay for the return shipping and that the bulbs must be in the original boxes with all of the original packing undamaged and only then would I be able to receive 85% refund and after the shipping cost it would be about a 70% loss.

So while I can admit I made a mistake in ordering this product. I reiterate this company is not a good fit for the commercial market and I would encourage others to use vendors that will stand behind the products they sale like I am going to do with my customer and loose money on this job, but I accept my part in this unlike 1000bulbs for offering products to a market that they are not suited for.

1000Bulbs Operates in BAD FAITH!

I ordered some Reflector Shields for my T5 lights that I use for pretty much all my indoor germination. 1000bulbs.com, took my order and sent me an email confirmation. 10 Days after the order was placed, I called inquiring about my order. Besides not having a single person available to speak to me for nearly an hour, I finally got through to Kent the Sales Manager. He informed me that although they took the order, they had a new policy that they did not ship to addresses different than that of the billing address. The reason for this is because the owner simply didn't want to incur any fees from a "charge back" which happens when someone disputes a [fraudulent] charge. This is a standard procedure ensuring purchasers are protected from fraud and is a NORMAL COST OF DOING BUSINESS [especially on the Internet]. Now although my money has been returned, after I called to inquire about the whereabouts of my purchase, I looked on their website and asked 2 simple questions; 1) where on your website does it say this? And 2) why does your website allow for me to make the selection to ship to a different location if you won't actually allow for that type of shipping to happen. The answer I got was "Because our Owner Kim Pederson said so and he's my boss." Well Kim, you have operated in bad faith. You took money and failed to deliver [literally]. You failed to communicate with your customer and canceled an order without a legitimate reason other than to save yourself $15 (If it was a fraudulent purchase-which it wasn't). Your Website which allows for the selection of a different delivery address to a billing address (which is 100% normal for 99% of internet web-stores) operates in BAD FAITH since you can not do what the website sends a receipt for.

It's just bad business. I am going to avoid these guys - Maybe Kim made to much money being named 2010 Entrepreneur of the Year?. 5 Years later He's a hack?.

BUYER BEWARE! Find a local store and have them order for you! This company is what's wrong with America! Not even an I am sorry for the inconvenience?. Just "that's how it is sir, like it or not?"

Vote with $?. I don't like it and I won't buy from you again.

Repeated email advertisements that automatically start on the first of every month, even after unsubscribing. I purchased products from 1000Bulbs.com in December 2019. In January 2020, I started receiving marketing emails from the company on a daily basis. I use a government computer and our security settings block any website links contained in emails I receive, so I have not been able to click the "Unsubscribe" links. I called the company and asked to be removed from their mailing list to which they obliged. After the first of February 2020, the marketing emails started again. I found email addresses for other individuals in the company and asked them to remove me from their marketing again. The cycle keeps repeating after the first of every month. I have called the company for 4-months in a row to have me removed from their email marketing, only to have it start again at the first of the following month. Today is July 1, 2020 and am receiving their email marketing yet again. This company has a problem they can't seem to fix!

I stuck with a defective product I purchased a ballast for my fluorescent lamp (2 lamps *** the stock code: *** and the product name: Sola ERSF-XXX-XX-TP. The order was placed on September 2, 2020, and I received on September 8, 2020. Upon receiving, I immediately connected to my lamps, and it did not work. The very next day, I went to my local Lowes, bought a comparable product and it worked right away. I knew that I have connected the ballast correctly, and what I got from 1000Bulbs.com was a defective product. I called the company on September 9, 2020, asking for a return of the defective product. The rep who took my call told me that they will send me an email detailing the steps to return the product. I however did not receive any email until I called them again yesterday (September 11, 2020). An email arrived in my email box after my second call, and I learned that in addition to no-refund on the shipment cost on my purchase, I have to pay for the shipping of my return too. At that point, I emailed them that I am very disappointed with their rules in returning a defective product, and I will not return the product with these rules in place. I did not receive a return email afterwards. My order # is XXXXXXXX, and paid a total of $23.29. in which $11 is the cost of the product, tax is $0.58, and shipping of $11.71, and I paid it with my credit card. I am very disappointed with their product, as well as their service.

I bought a ballast for my fluorescent lamp from 1000Bulbs.com. I ordered it on September 2, 2020, and received it on September 8, 2020. When I connected it to my lamps, it didn't work. The next day, I went to Lowes and bought a similar product that worked immediately. I knew I had connected the ballast correctly, so I concluded that the one from 1000Bulbs.com was defective. I called the company on September 9, 2020, to request a return. The representative said they would send me an email with return instructions, but I didn't receive it until I called again on September 11, 2020. After my second call, I finally received the email, which stated that I would not be refunded for the shipping cost of my purchase and that I would have to pay for the return shipping as well. I was very disappointed with their return policy and emailed them to express my dissatisfaction. I haven't received a response to my email. My order number is XXXXXXXX, and I paid a total of $23.29, which included $11 for the product, $0.58 for tax, and $11.71 for shipping. I paid with my credit card. I am extremely disappointed with both the product and the service provided by 1000Bulbs.com.

1000Bulbs expensive delivery

The delivery cost is too high, should be much cheaper. It's the US, not abroad. So many delivery services can be used that may have lower rates, why does this company use the most expensive one?
To get simple lights for Christmas delivered I had to pay about 30 dollars. Don't you think it's too much for a very light box with lights? If it's so expensive, then maybe it makes point to deliver much faster, huh?

1000Bulbs Poor product quality, poor customer service

I ordered $40 worth of specialty bulbs from 1000Bulbs.com. Within a few weeks, almost half of them had burned out (3 of 7 bulbs). I called the company, but they would not give me replacements or a refund. They know that this product is defective (a lot of the reviewers on their own site have left negative reviews), but they continue to see a faulty item, and will not stand behind their product.

1000Bulbs Bad service

I have been doing business with 1000 bulbs.com for over a year and have nothing but praise for the company and employees. My last 2 experiences have been over the phone with Tommy Clark and Chad Petersen. Both gentlemen have been most helpful and very courteous. I worked in the service business for 40 years and these people and this company treat customers like they were treated 30 - 40 years ago.

I bought LED Candelabra lamps that were supposed to be dimable, but with who's dimmer!?
So I e-mailed both the mfg. "Archipelago" and "1000 bulbs" and got no response!
I looked on "Archipelago" web site and they sited some out dated "Leveton" rotary dimmers.
So I checked out "Leveton's" web site and they state these old rotary dimmers are only comparable with incandescent lamps.
I plan to post this comment on every web site I can find and warn everyone about 1000 Bulbs about the lies they use to sell their crappy products!

THEY ARE AWFUL! Called prior to placing my order to confirm the item was in stock...it was extremely important the we got it in a timely manner. After being assured that they had it and it would ship right away... it never did. Called 4-5 days later and was assured that it was shipping that day. I'd have it FOR SURE in 3-4 days! Again...it never arrived. Called again and was told that while it IS in stock, they can't ship it to me overnight, they can't even tell me WHEN they are going to ship it because it's at a different warehouse. SERIOUSLY!? Not sure why they call it 'customer service'... they're USELESS and certainly don't offer ANYTHING to support their customers! They only answer I got was that they are NOT EQUIPPED to handle this...that it was IMPOSSIBLE for them to ship two lightbulbs! REALLY? That's PATHETIC!

This company is the pits. I ordered $50 worth of light bulb charged my credit card twice because one of the light bulb I ordered was out of stock and was being replaced by something else. Once that problem was resolved another arose. It came with faulty light bulbs. Few of them died within days. They charge 20% restocking fee for their broken crap products. I will never buy from them again.
