Coles Supermarkets Australia till service

Coles advertise down down down but the only thing down with Coles are the employees. I absolutely refuse to use the self serve because, I believe, that YOU are denying people a job. I waited 20 minutes to be served this morning because most of the tills were unattended. If you had more staff you would have happier customers. The store was not overly busy.

I heartily agree. I also refuse to use the self service checkouts, because yes, they ARE doing humans out of a job. The last time I went into a Coles Supermarket (Wynnum Plaza QLD about 2 weeks ago) was the last time I will ever go into a Coles Supermarket voluntarily. There were NO checkouts open, only the self serve. This was on a Wednesday, between 11.30am and 12.30pm.
I really hate shopping at Woolworths, because I despise their bullying corporate culture, and used to always choose Coles as default, but got sick of trying to defend the lacklustre deli sections, the sad old "fresh" produce, the constant out of stocks, and the poor defeated looking staff at various QLD stores, from Ipswich to Cleveland to Wynnum to Carindale, Coorparoo, etc.
Thanks, Coles, for making every shopping trip into a guilt trip now I have no alternative (I would go happily to IGA,
but there are no decent sized ones in our area). I do shop at Aldi as much as possible, sadly their "fresh produce" is as bad as yours is!

Coles Supermarkets Australia odour and untidy shop

I am was a regular customer of Coles Halls Head W.A. but unfortunately of late the odour from the Deli Department is unbearable, you can smell it from the bakery on some days. Three times in the last 2 weeks I have left the Deli department in disgust due to the odour from the fish and the wait time to be served. My other reason for now shopping elsewhere is the Bakery I don't know if any of your staff are actual bakers but the produce is way below the other stores in the area. The other Departments are excellent, the meat department always looks fresh, the Vegie Department is always neat and tidy, and the front end staff are always very friendly and helpful. I am sorry to make a complaint but you are going to loose a lot of customers, maybe a bit more training for the managers may help them to notice things that are obvious to your customers.

Coles has pushed us away from their stores.
Because they no longer stock the necessities we need!
And their lamb is NOT lamb, it is Hogget or Mutton!
Real lamb is stamped with a red LAMB stamp, at the abattoirs by a meat inspector, if there is NO red stamp, it is NOT LAMB!

Coles Supermarkets Australia coles macaroni cheese bake.

I bought this item for $10.00 from Armidale Coles Supermarket. I have had their Bollanaise Bake with Bechamel Saurse and it was very nice.

But the Macaroni Cheese Bake bought on 18th May was almost inedible. There was no cheese flavour in it. It smelt wrong, like vomit. That could be the Milk Whey ingredient. I had some but I felt a bit sick after, and my son wouldn't eat it.

Sorry, but I would like a $10.00 refund, a Coles gift card will do. The Birds will eat it or the neighbour cats I think.

Coles Supermarkets Australia your large transport trucks

We are managers from the Maryborough Caravan and Tourist Park on 209 Gympie Rd in Tinana. Every morning around 4.30 am/5am we are woken up by drivers who drive your large fridgerated trucks as they park right outside near our park where our bedroom sits. We have had enough! We work 10 hours + a day 6 days a week. We need our sleep and we're sick of your trucks parking near our park! PLEASE PARK ELSEWHERE!😡 not only is it's waking up our tourists as well. If you don't do anything about this I will definitely take this further!

Coles Supermarkets Australia coles muesli 750g

The last time I purchased a pack of Coles Muesli it was in the new packaging.
I couldn't help noticing that that the amount of fruit (raisins etc) appeared to be much less than when it was sold in the old packaging and the product appeared to be mostly rolled oats.
Has there been a change to the amount of fruit that is added?
Barcode number is 9310645171104.
Can't find a batch number but there is a reference to Best Before: 11 April 2019, 10:40:00.

Coles Supermarkets Australia I am complaining about the attitude of a member of staff at the taree coles express petrol station

For the last few weeks I have been collecting cans and bottle from the bins at the petrol station. No one has said a thing to me about it but tonight Tuesday 15th May 2018 I had my 9 year old nephew with me, he is forbidden from sticking his hand in any bin and
I was rudely told or more like talked down to the worker named Tamara that "you can't take anything out of our bins stop doing that" I said "no one has said anything for weeks" to which she stated "yeah well were told your not allowed to do it. If you do it again we will call the police its illegal" at this point her voice had raised slightly and we just decided to leave but my nephew was withdrawn and sullen for quite awhile afterwards he kept asking if the cops were gonna take us away.
I believe that the situation could and should have been handled better by the employee tamara simply explaining it was a whs thing that I could of gotten hury if there were sharps in there was all it would of taken well thats and a more pleasant attitude.

Coles Supermarkets Australia incorrect number of products

On the 14th of May 2018 I purchased a box of 16 mini spring rolls from Coles at 190 Union street Brunswick west. I was very disappointed when I opened the packed and found that there were only 15 spring rolls within the packet. I counted the spring rolls 10 times because I was convinced my counting was wrong because how could Coles, a major supermarket not put the correct amount of spring rolls into the package. I normally shop at Woolworths but thought I would go to Coles and buy my groceries this time, however I am extremely disappointed with this issue and my experience and feel a gift voucher would be reasonable.

Coles Supermarkets Australia coles supermarket picton

The amount of out of stock (oos) items in this store on a continuous basis is becoming very frustrating. It is not restricted to one category or department, but consistent across the entire store. The quality and range of fresh bakery items is the worst I have come across in a Coles store -and I visit many during my line of work, so I am very familiar with what ‘good' looks like.
This eveningI had the pleasure of being told I couldn't have my chosen fresh meat sliced because ‘I have just started disassembling the slicer to clean it' at 5:30pm! Really - poor service, poor presentation, poor management. Please make this store more accountable.

Coles Supermarkets Australia petrol pricing and supermarket specials

I thought you may be interested as why neither my wife or I will buy petrol from Coles Express or will shop at Coles supermarkets.
Coles petrol prices are always the most expensive in this area with Woolworths consistently cheaper and independent service stations often cheaper still. This fact was confirmed on the news today.
For the past 6 months when shopping for my family I have also been shopping for a widow friend who has been seriously ill. What I have noticed a number of times is that advertised specials are not available after day 1 of the week. For example my friend wanted some Fancy Feast cat food (gravy lovers beef). I tried buying some on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Monday and on Tuesday to no avail shopping each morning between 7.30am - 8.30am. On these days I tried buying this cat food at Bowral and Moss Vale.
This is not the only example of specials not being restocked and the practice is either poor store management (unlikely) or disingenuous company policy.
We now shop only at Woolworths, Aldi or IGA and see no reason to give Coles our custom.

Coles Supermarkets Australia customer service

I bought 1 bottle of orange juice on Coles Rhodes on Sunday mothers day at around 1:30pm and I used self service counter. Since it was crowded and I only bad one item I quickly scanned it and paid by card without taking receipt to save time as other people were waiting. When I got out, I heard staff member shouted at me to ask if I have paid. When I said yes, he called me back to identify which counter I used and accused me that he didn't see me paying. I asked him do you check everyone everyone, how can you say that. He said yea I do and then asked me to wait while manager comes to check the counter. He called the manager and it was very embarrassing for me to stand there in front of everyone looking at me like a thief. I asked him to hurry up and call the manager ao that I can show him I didn't steal for just a juice. Manager came after 5 minutes, he asked how long did you pay for it. I told him 5 minutes ago. He opened transactions and I identified him that I paid $4.55 for this juice. He printed out the docket and tried to give to me. I told him I don't want docket but show this to your staff member that I paid for it. This was ridiculous experience and I would never go to Coles again.

Coles Supermarkets Australia bad customer service

I would like to lodge a complaint that I had experienced today. I gone to Coles supermarket today at 12:15pm at Southport location. I tried to look the Flex seed organic oil that I normally bought from Pacific fair location. I tried to look for myself but I still couldn't find it. So I asked the lady who standing at the self service areas, her name is called MARY. I asked her where is the organic oil is located and have you got it here. She replied me very rude and bad customer service. She only say everything you asked I don't know, it is ridiculous. I mean such a big company, she is represent on behalf of Coles to work. Her answer supposed not to be answer like this to customer. If she don't know she should answer in a nicely way, ' I am very sorry I don't know which column' is located, and I can find it out for you from other colleague. In which she didn't do any of this at all. She only let the customer find by themselves without willing to helps and weird. How rude and bad customer service this is. Her customer service does not reach the Coles high quality and customer service standard at all. I would highly RECOMMENDED her to have better training and understanding how she should treated customer in a professional way and know where all the Coles products is located whenever customer requested to know before she need to face the customer service again. I now need the management representative to reply me gives me an explanation why this lady MARY treated customer like this. Looking forward to your prompt reply. I can be contacted by the following email : [protected]@gmail.com. Thank you.

Best Regards,

Jessie

Coles Supermarkets Australia coles recall on mini classics

I have just been made aware of a recall on the above product by a friend who heard it only once, a week ago. This was the first time I'd heard anything about the recall even though I watch the news every night & have the radio on every day. I find the lack of warnings relating to this product very concerning for such a serious health problem if ingested. I purchase this product every shopping week & saw nothing relating to this problem in the store not even an alert on the freezer door which would have been the sensible thing to do. Shame on you Coles.

Coles Supermarkets Australia customer service

I would like to put in a complaint about the Manager (Arjan) at Coles 323/325 Spring St, Reservoir VIC 3073. I entered the store on the 10/05/2018 about 8:10 pm wanting to purchase a Telstra Pre- paid mobile phone (Telstra 4 GHXD) he was quiet rude and abrupt. I asked if he had any mobiles let as they were on sale at $64.50. He mentioned that all Telstra products had been recalled and I asked if this was everywhere he was not sure and when I asked him to call another store close by he abruptly said NO straight out told me that I was to google the store and call myself. I was taken back by his response and now have vowed I will not shop at this Coles ever again due to the lack of customer care I will travel further to another area to get the customer service where it is a lot better. I am very disgusted in the service that has been provided and this manager needs to learn people skills as he has none.

Coles Supermarkets Australia recall on coles mini classic vanilla or almond ice creams

I returned to Coles to obtain a refund as suggested in the recall notice Tuesday 8/5/2018 West Australian - I was told the recall only pertained to a certain dated item -this was not on the recall advert & I believe many others did the same thing as I did. I was on my way to a meeting and couldn't return the good to the freezer - consequently they were a melted mess and had to be discarded anyway. I am a pensioner, these two packets of icecreams were for my grandchildren. If the recall notice had mentioned a certain date then I would still have my two packets of icecreams for my grandkids.
I'm not happy.

I am not a rich man and with 5 boys its hard to feed on a budget.

Coles Supermarkets Australia products missing from stores

I would like to know why the following have disappeared from the stores:

Sunsilk shampoos
Golden Circle corn products

I have been shopping with Coles for over 30 years, and I am sick of finding the shelves at my local supermarket empty of products I use. Last week there were no cheese slices, Coles apple juice, diet Coke, Golden Circle corn kernels, Sunsilk shampoos, or a couple of other products. The Store Manager said it was computer based and relied on customer usage, well, hello, there weren't any of these on the shelves, so I would suggest that the customers have been buying these products. You are forcing good, reliable customers to seek elsewhere to shop.

Coles Supermarkets Australia returning of off food

I bought 2 pieces of Aust Barrmundi as I knew this is safe fish. When I prepared the rest of my meal I got the fish out of the fridge and opened it and it smelt very bad. How disappointing so I had to go about thawing different food from the freezer to have that night.
I took the fish back to the Marsden Coles and spoke to the store Manager Thursday 3rd May 5.30 PM after work and this young guy seemed disinterested and said I will give you a refund.
I said what about that as well as a couple of new pieces of fish but not your Barra eg Salmon and he said I cant do that.
This was not a Remarkable Consumer Experience from him after my inconvenience not having fish but having to go out of my way and expense to drive back to the store. I'm in Retail and this attitude wouldn't happen to one of my customers. These young Managers need some customer service skills. I am 61 yo

Coles Supermarkets Australia unethical behaviour and possible scam

On 6/5/18 ... I purchased ULP from your outlet at 233 Foxwell Road, Coomera. The advertised price on the board stated $149.9 / L, which was the correct price, I noticed whilst I was filling up that the pump was set at $166.9 / L.
When I questioned the attendant her reply was Oh! I think it might be because that pump contains premium unleaded, yes that's it I was told that pumps 1, 3 and 5 have premium unleaded in them... it seemed to me that she was making this up to cover up a price scam.
My reply was I didn't want premium unleaded I wanted ULP at the advertised price of $149.9 / L ... her reply was sorry I can't do anything about it, no offer was made to change the debit to the correct price or reimburse the difference.
I noted and have provided evidence that this pump does not even have a nozzle for dispensing premium unleaded fuel and my receipt clearly indicates that I purchased ULP at $166.9 / L and not the advertised price.
I am not too bothered about the $6 that I was overcharged, but I would like an explanation to explain what I see as a blatant scam and I am also wondering how many unsuspecting customers have been overcharged, at the very least I would expect Coles to investigate how many customers have been charge the $166.9 which should be quite an easy task, and if they paid via credit card as I did should also be an easy task to reimburse the difference.
