Coles Supermarkets Australia customer service disgusting at deli

We usually love the people at Deli but today we were served by someone different from the usual staff. His name is Syed and he has no mannerism at all. No greetings or smile on his face. He's just simply put the meat that we requested in a bag and weighing it without asking if it's enough or not and just handed the pack to us without saying thanks. Usually the other staff will ask customers and saying thank you. He shouldn't be working facing customers if he has that disgusting attitude. He seems really hate working there.
We're hoping not to be served by him or see his face again.

Coles Supermarkets Australia checkout lady saliva

It's not very nice when the checkout lady sticks her hand in her mouth and then handles groceries without sanitizer. Also swearing at the same time. The ladies name was Julie at register 001. It was on the 2nd of the 11th 2019. The time was eleven eleven. The store manager is Rob . I did not speak with him because I don't like to create a scene. I left the place feeling really grossed out like I could easily pick up germs that way.

Coles Supermarkets Australia racial profiling

I was singled out by store manager Anthony who came from the back of the store and Samantha who was working at the self serve check in. They came to check my bag whist I was waiting for my husband at the check out and I was with my son with an empty pram. I was standing around the flowers and realised I was in the way of the entry so I moved away and was confronted by store manager and Samantha another worker there. They asked to check my bag and I did comply as I had not taken anything. I was the only one whose bag they had checked and was informed by the women who was checking out my husband and I shopping that they had no right to check my bag and I can file a formal complaint. This is how I had received the names of the employers who had singled me out. I did question them and ask why my bag was the only one to be checked? and was informed that they were looking for someone else and stumbled across me and thought to check my bag, which makes absolutely no sense. I had been in the store for more than an hour they would have noticed me on camera if there was any suspicious behavior but there was not. I felt racially profiled and informed them that I would make a complaint and was laughed at out loud for everyone to hear with a GO AHEAD as a reply. improfessiomal bullying and racial profiling.

Coles Supermarkets Australia coles employees (racial profiling)

I usually have a great experience shopping here but today I was singled out and racially profiled by the head manager at coles beenleigh. I had finished my shopping and was at the checkout with the cashier who was friendly and everything was fine. All of a sudden the head manager anthony and another employee named samantha came to check my bags. They did not check anyone else bags in the queues. I asked them why and they said they were looking for someone. I told them I didn't see them checking other people's bags and they were laughing at me saying I was overreacting. I also told him that I will make a formal complaint and he responded "I don't care". They didn't find anything in my bags and made me very uncomfortable. Beware of racial profiling from coles beenleigh.

Coles Supermarkets Australia Coles double choc brownies

My son and ai made the brownies however once we went to cut the brownies there was hair (approx 10/12 strands) scattered throughout the brownie slice.
To say my son was disappointed is an understatement.
I usually purchase this particular brownie as it tastes so good and have never had an issue like this precviously. Hopefully this was the only packet affected.
Feel free to contact me on [protected] to discuss

Coles Supermarkets Australia staff and shoplifting

At approximately 4.20 pm this afternoon. I witnessed a man shop lifting. I went to tell the staff at check out, both of them were so busy talking to a person at the check out that they paid no attention to me until I raised voice. Then it was only to say doesnt matter as we can not stop them or do anything about it. When i left the shop this comment was repeated and I was told they may have photos of this but they will only look if they have time. so I retorted that i would write on face book that anyone wanting to steal should go to this coles store. Reply was "You can we cannot do anything about it."

Coles Supermarkets Australia order cancellation

Hi, I made an online order from Coles Online on 13 October 2019. After that I cancelled the order and made another one, for which I paid to the courier, but I still haven's received the refund for online order [protected] which was canceled on 0ctober 13.
I messagedColes twice on October 22 and on October 30 and I still don't understand when I will get the refund. They are saying that I will get the refund soon but its already 4th of November.
This situation makes me feel unlikely to do online orders with Coles anymore. I don't feel like I will get that refund because it's already been almost a month.

Coles Supermarkets Australia lilydale stir fry chicken 500g

This is the second time I have purchased Stir fry chicken and found what I would describe as "mush" hidden underneath - at least 150grams.
Purchased today Receipt No. 4231.
Apart from a refund I would like confirmation that whoever prepares this product has been told it is not acceptable to hide this rubbish under the advertised chicken.

Please respond to Hans Ales at [protected]@gmail.com. Thank you.

Coles Supermarkets Australia coles mixed nuts

Your mixed nuts do not have a fresh taste, are well over 80% of the cheaper "peanuts" I could only find a small handful of hazel nuts and almonds and hardly any cashews. Disgusting really. Since we buy what we can only afford only it does not mean that we should get low quality food and products.
You really need to try a pack and see for yourself.
And you should improve the pack hugely, especially with xmas coming, people love nuts on the xmas table and need to shop effectively and affordably

Coles Supermarkets Australia delicatessen does not accept personal containers

I understand it is easier to not train your personnel on how to operate a scale, but if I make the effort to bring containers to reduce the amount of plastic used, I expect you to have arrived to the 21st century.
It is not a difficult request, and I am not fanatical about it, but we are going to be forced to do it sooner or later, as with the plastic bags ban, might as well be ahead of the curve.
You creating me difficulties means that I carried containers (that I bought there previously) like an idiot, and did not get what I wanted because you gave me ignorant justifications about the scale usage.
This particular store is less than 1km from the ocean shore of the great barrier reef - like my kids say, not very woke.

Coles Supermarkets Australia rolls baked on site

Purchased these Hot dog rolls tonight in a 12 pkt .. why are the sizes so different ? And it was a pattern 2 long rolls 1 short roll ..
Is this for you to save money ?
I'm so sick of you ripping us off... If I buy a pkt of hot dog rolls o wound expect that they would all be the same length not various lengths ... this is either you trying to cut costs or your employees not giving a dam!
I'm getting sick of your store and are about to shop elsewhere..
And please do not send me back an email apologising for this .. fix the problem .. the " big wonderful supermarket" you built for us .. is crap the produce is rubbish it's like "seconds"
And doesn't last more than 2 days ?
I and many others are ready to shop elsewhere cause you don't do anything to rectify any issues

Joanne

Coles Supermarkets Australia staff member

23/10/19
Between the time of 1400 and 1440, my daughter and I were in the aisle were medicine is shelved. While standing there I noticed a staff member at the end of the aisle staring at my daughter. I thought nothing of it, initially, however, he continued to watch and then pulled out his phone.
My wife approached us and he still remained at the top of the aisle, not in the aisle, at the top watching.
Our daughter walked away, and my wife mentioned that as she approached the aisle she noticed this man standing there staring, unbeknownst to her at the time, we were in that aisle. She found him to be creepy and was annoyed that if he thought either of us looked suspicious. If this was the case then someone would have kept an eye on us, during our shopping. Which no one did.
I then went to find this guy, and asked him why he was staring at my daughter and let him know that we shop there everyday, so if he thought we were stealing think again.
He immediately got defensive, and said he didn't do anything of the kind, he wasn't standing there.
The Manager(he said he was) approached us and asked what happened. I told him, and then my wife reiterated what I said, and voiced her concerns that how are we to know whether he took a photo of our daughter?
The staff member said he would show us the phone, all the while swiping through his phone, and saying that he has been accused, to which my wife said. It's a simple yes or no.To which he didn't reply. She then said, we apologise if we are wrong, as that's how we perceived it.
As she went to walk away, the drop kick then said here I'll show you my phone quite cocky!
My wife told him to move on, we apologised which is more than what either of them did.
The reason given to the Manager for his phone, was that he was writing his list.

Now you look over the cameras and tell me whether you believe this yourself. And give me an honest response.
Besides this guy acting creepy his attitude is undesirable. Especially to be working in a very public arena.
Did we get his name...no, he had no name badge on.

The Manager in charge name is Scott. And just for the record, his handling of this situation was pathetic. If my wife didn't step in to cut the conversation short, due to me being upset and his arrogance. No one would of.

We have shopped at this local store for many years daily, and know the staff. This guy is a disgrace!

And for the record, my daughter is now too scared to shop there alone due to his creepiness...her words!

Coles Supermarkets Australia management

As I was grocery shopping after work last night I walked by one of the managers in the store, he was talking to one of his workers about such inappropriate sex acts that he had wanted to perform on a female, I heard him say something along the lines of "F**king the [censored] out of that slut, she deserved it", which appalled me. I saw his name tag as ‘Matt' and I could see the workers disgusted face during the conversation. When I bring my children into my local coles I do not want them being in the same proximity as someone like that, especially an authority figure being a negative roll model and using crude language in a family environment.

Coles Supermarkets Australia staffing numbers

Last night i went to do grocery shopping after work.. It was about 7.25pm by the time I got to the checkout. It was very busy, there was only one register open but the staff member had just put up her sign to close.. the only other choice I had was the express checkout or self serve. I went the the express thought I had a trolley full not 12 items . The lovely Checkout Girl Tatum Rennie was doing her best to keep everyone happy, she was also to knock off at 7.30. Another staff member Sarah Prestige came along to help.. She jumped on another Register and Tatum said she would stay until they could get someone else. Clearly the poor girls did what they could with very few options. Surely Coles can afford to have to normal registers ( at minimum ) as well as the express and self serve open... its a 24 hour society we live in these days... OR at the very least make sure they have staff they can call on from the floor. Whilst this is a complaint about staffing numbers it is a very big compliment to the two young girls Tatum and Sarah who offered exceptional serviced.

Coles Supermarkets Australia deliveries

I am on a pension, and I have had NOTHING but dramas with orders and deliveries with my orders ever since the deliveries were taken from Queanbeyan to Tuggeranong.
You people have raised the delivery price, BUT how many pensioners are able to spend $100 per fortnight to warrant free delivery.
Its time that Coles woke upto themselves and stopped raising prices and expecting home deliveries to be as good as they should.
This dosent happen, so do something about it

Thank you.

Coles Supermarkets Australia poor customer service

I selected 6 of the coles ready meals 400 grams which were advertised with multiple tickets $7 each or 2 for $10. When i went to the checkout with my other items I noticed that on the checkout screen the meals scanned at $7 each not 2 for $10 When i asked the man at the checkout he said he was unsure and he would get someone to check. A lady came over grabbed all my meals and took them to the fridge section where i originally grabbed the meals. I paid for my groceries and then followed her to see where she was taking my meals. what I then witnessed was so unprofessional. The lady placed my meals on the floor at refrigerator and then said she would go and get a manager. I was Waiting for 10 minutes for someone to come and assist me. I spoke to Steve dry foods manager and he said that I misread the ticket and that my meals were not apart of the deal. I explained that the ticket stated coles meals from 300-400 gram range and that my coles meals were the only meals that were 400 grams. Then Steve rudely replied no they just put upto 400 grams on ticket as some weight of meals vary. What a response. He then walked of on me and left me there with no resolution.I was so appalled at the lack of customer service that after years of being a loyal customer to coles I will now shop at other supermarkets.

That’s not his fault. All prices for meats are the same for EVERY store so even if you shop at another coles all prices are the same regardless.

Coles Supermarkets Australia caterpillar in red capsicum

I bought a red capsicum at Coles Supermarket in Echuca Vic. I used the capsicum for a stir fry for dinner. When I went to put the capsicum in the crisper of the fridge, a catapillar was crawling around the inside of the capsicum. I am extremely surprised that the vegies in Coles are not of a higher standed. I have put the capsicum in a sealed bag to return to Coles.

Coles Supermarkets Australia rude worker

y name is Andrew fabri I am writing this complaint about one of your working how she was going off at my mother saying that lane was for 12 items or less yes she is totally correct but the thing is no other register operators were opened at the time so where else are you suppose to go my mother asked the lady where would you like me to go and she's like we'll not here it's 12 items or less. She has blonde curly hair didn't get her name but she has very poor costumer pr and should be fired or giving a massive swarming due to speaking to a customer like that when only 1 register was opened at the time.

The boy said that she's always like this and goes off never puts on more than 1 operator at a time I think this issue should be fixed as she went into my mother's face trying to tell her off if they don't want our money that's fine we will go elsewhere and next time this happens I will be asking for all the money I paid for the shopping back as compensation as I know my rights as a worker my self
