Coles Supermarkets Australia Coles online service

As of May 14 when I tried to place an online order for some items, Coles 2L full cream milk was not listed. 1L and 3L bottles were Iisted. I decided to abandon the online order and went in to the store instead where there was plentiful supply of Coles 2L full cream milk!
Is Coles trying to force customers not to buy 2L bottles of this milk?
I looked again today May 16 on their website and it is still not listed.
Check it for yourself here:
https://shop.coles.com.au/a/mona-vale/everything/search/coles%20milk%20full%20cream
I note that when items are not available, they are listed but with a note that they are not available.
Coles should update their database to list items that are clearly available.
The store I use is Hornsby NSW 2077.

Coles Supermarkets Australia Harassment

On or about 2p/m today I attended the Coles New Town / Hobart supermarket. I was lured there by a Fly Buys Promotion. I did my shopping and was severely abused by a basket wiper (COVID19) this led into a free for all, with an ASIAN woman thinking I was abusing her. The Coles basket wiper was constantly distracting the check out lady and then started to abuse me. I told her not to talk to me. She called security and I had 3 men standing around me and the idiot laughing and the asian woman joining in. I have shopped there for 30 years with no problem. I got home and I found that I was missing $2000. I reported this to the assistant manager and the police. It may have fallen out of my wallet whilst I was being harrassed by the staff, I don't I know. I have signed a staututrory declaration and I am home and quite ill from the confrontation. This is NO joke. The $2, 000 was 20 a $100 notes with a band around them and last seen in my wallet. I am an ex serviceman with PTSD and on the pension. I am also a 3rd degree Master Mason, so I don't tell lies. Mr Rob de la Hunty Unit 43/8 Douglas street, New Town, Tasmania. I was wearing a salmon T Shirt and Jeans and I just wanted to get out of the store. Please review. 9.00 p/m Friday 15May 2020

Coles Supermarkets Australia Removal of tea gardens nsw 2324 deli

Many customers are horrified that our great deli has disappeared...Just loved buying small quantities of many items, meat, prawns, cheeses, party food ETC. Most of Tea Gardens have only two people in the household and it is so wonderful to buy accordingly or when unexpected guests arriving you can buy fabulous things from the deli. Many campers stock up in the supermarket and they will be devastated also.

Coles Supermarkets Australia Social distancing

I am making a formal complaint about Aurora village coles Victoria.

I have spoken to the "store manager" twice clearly not the case as on the 6/5/20 @ 16.51pm i requested to speak to store manager and a male came to speak to me yet my docket suggests Store manager is Hanna?.

There is no social distanceing at all in the self checkout area, with all being used.I raised this the week before where the store manager apologised and told me it should be every 2nd one open and he would see to it that the attendant in the area would know.
In this 1st instance i firstly asked the two early 20's gentleman to my right if they could please move further away from me for them to laugh out loud and turn their backs on me it was humiliating the attendant in the area did nothing this is when i requested to speak to the manager.
I have also called the 1800 number to be told by Ryan it will only be handled internally and i will not recieve a call back, i will get no explanation, i find this extreme poor customer service & simply not acceptable .
You can not tell us as shoppers stay a trolley length away from each, stand on the dots to line up at the checkout & don't get to close then allow people to be either side of me less than a hand length away.

I have zero immune system i do not see the point of being checked out at the normal checkout having my food touched but for me to pack that in itself is totally not logical.I go through the self serve to minimise anyone or anything else touching my foods.
I have a right to feel safe getting my groceries and do not feel my concern, that is dictated by the goverment I might add, has been handled well or listened to properly, all i have been given is excuses
" we don't need to have every 2nd open"
" were to busy to close them"
are you serious i have had no option but to contact the media and the government and will be taking this much futher as you are putting lives at risk by this practice.

I would like an explanation why you are allowing this to happen against government policy.

Regards

Martina

Coles Supermarkets Australia Nuttvia hazelnut spread

I went to coles on the 24th of april 2020 to do some grocery shopping around 9pm. I bought a jar of the mentioned spread 1 day ago with a valid date of expiry and I found out that it is moldy when I opened it. The jar says best before 23/6/2021. The day it is produced is 23/3/2020. This is unacceptable. They should be monitoring the products that they are buying.

Coles Supermarkets Australia Their attitude in quarantine time

Hi
I'm writing with regards to Coles supermarkets in Australia. For nearly a month, they made a huge profit because people were rushing to hoard everything; because people were worried about their future and other maybe illogical reasons. However, have a look at Coles catalogs and their sale and discounted items for that last 4 weeks. They're simply ridiculous, there is no useful item at all. Is this a proper response to people in these tough times. What's more annoying is the expiry date of products which is hugely noticeable. You buy everything within only 3/4 days of expiry date. Is this showing common sense?
Is this behaviour really nice in these times? You actually make people go to the shops more with this strategy.
This is unfair, so so unfair and rude. They have increased the fee for delivery as well. Perfeeeeccctt. Isn't it?
Warm regards
Maria Zand

Coles Supermarkets Australia online priority service

The restrictions on who can access Online Priority Service are ridiculous. Although we are in late seventies/early eightees, we do meet any of the criteria - we do not have a My aged care number, nor have an NDIS code, nor are we indigenous nor have a code provided by a charity registerd with Coles online. We are self-funded retirees, but live in a retirement village and being encouraged by everyone from the Fed Govt, State Govt to the village management to not venture out for shopping but have groceries delivered. Many other organisations can manage to provide this service to all vulnerable/at-risk groups. Why can't Coles?

Coles Supermarkets Australia non existent or invisible stock

For weeks now there has been a shortage of toilet paper in all of your stores in the surrounding suburbs.
We have been told to line up on certain days to buy toilet paper and only about 10 packets are handed out to almost 50 -100 of the public lined up making us all look like fools while we desperately seek other stores for this item that is now worth more than GOLD!
Many of the public do not understand what lining up means and attack whatever low stock is available and leave the others empty handed.
All warehouses have advised there are many many items in stock and we are producing our own toilet paper in Australia but the stores are saying that none were delivered.
Either the supplier or the store managers are lying and we the consumers are being made to look like fools waiting in line for toilet paper in the year 2020 when we should be concentrating on so many other more important things that are going on around the world.
You as suppliers need to organise yourselves and start supplying to the consumers asap and provide all these items. Your service is there for others and according to the manufacturers there has been a lot produced and already sent out plus there should not be a shortage as most of it is produced in Australia - so where is it?
Plus how can you have a product limit when there never is any product available.
This is very frustrating and even more so for seniors and those with children with special needs as I see them struggling every day to get to the shops for a single roll of bog paper, loo roll, bum wipes!

Coles Supermarkets Australia The above customer service was appaling and disgusting

I'd like to submit an official complaint against Coles Chirnside Park.

This morning, just before noon on Thursday the 26th of March, when we scanned a bottle of Cenovis Magnesium tablets (200 tablets) at their self-checkout, it came up as $16, despite the shelf tag indicated $15.50.

When we asked the self-check out staff member, she asked another staff to check it, and he/she told her it came up as $16 as he/she scanned it. Of course it would be! So we asked the first staff to check the shelf and she sent EMILY who was working at the service desk, to do so. EMILY came back and told us, "It is $16" and walked off. We told the self-checkout staff member that it was wrong as the tag clearly states the price. Then EMILY came back and said angrily "If you don't want it, don't take it!" and walked off on us again.

Being appalled by and disgusted with EMILY's customer service, we went to Woolworths Chirnside Park and got a bottle there.

On the way back to the car park, we dropped in at Coles and took the photo of their shelf price tag, which clearly says $15.50. This was about 10 minutes after the first visit took place.

We ask you for feedback after talking to EMILY at Chirnside Park Coles, Maroondah Hwy, Chirnside Park, Victoria, Australia.

We hope to hear from you soon.

Regards,

Misako and Paul Dailey

Coles Supermarkets Australia Risk of infection by COVID-19

It seems not possible to finish a machine checkout without placing a finger on the screen "Pay now" button. Every customer using that machine has thus been required to place a finger on that same corner of the screen. This is likely to transmit CON-19 virus particles between customers as the screen is not disinfected between customers.

I want to highlight the fact that Coles is the last supermarket multinational to move on protecting their staff and their customers during COVID.
My daughter who is immunosuppressive was instructed to remove her mask and gloves while working in service!
Such disregard for staff safety. Shame on you Coles for your lack of progressive action while our country is in crisis. Well done Woolworths, Aldi and the Reject shop for installing service screens. The prices are down, down but so is their invisible screens. Shame on you Coles

Coles Supermarkets Australia Unfairly treated

18th March, my husband & I desperately looking for items we haven't seen in weeks. Happened to be in the meat section where shelves were empty when suddenly a cart full of boxes arrived and 2 young men were starting to place some trays on the shelves. One fellow stacking shelves of lamb mince the other was opening boxes and handing mince trays to 2 of his, I presume friends. They each had a shopping basket filled with mince and other meat products. We noticed they had at least 4 trays of beef mince if not more. They kept circling as the boxes were being opened. I asked the young fellow if I could have 2 boxes beef mince, he told me they only had organic, $8 per tray. I was fuming, when these 2 young males walking around with a smug look and proud as punch that they were given so much, and the cheaper mince, obviously more than entitled to. They separated at the checkouts of course. Why did they get special treatment, friends perhaps? not impressed. We are both seniors and this was the only time we could shop. Rules should be applied to everyone.
I understand the problems, but favoritism is not on.

Coles Supermarkets Australia Moroccan veggie Patties from deli section

I just d two morrocan vege pattis today from your deli section, when opening the packaging I discovered the pattis both had white mould on them. This worries me as I regularly shop at Coles and buy products from the deli section and now I question if your products are fresh. This has been very inconvenient and I am appalled that you would not check dates of items. If the product had mould on it, it must of been there for an awfully long time and how many other customers bought the pattis in the last few days. I expect to be compensated for the inconconvenience and and the lack of quality control.

Coles Supermarkets Australia Handling of Toilet Paper due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak around the world

My complaint is in regards on how both the government and supermarkets have handled the announcement of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak around the world. The mass panic buying of essential goods such has Toilet paper, hand sanitizers, paper towels, flour, rice, pasta etc. These retailers; Coles Ltd Pty, Woolworths, IGA, Aldi, Costco etc. are now causing mayhem.
Also the fact that they should have implemented strategies, related to order and fairness of the distribution of these essential items. The groups that are disadvantaged are customers in our communities are the elderly/disabled/Carers.
These retailers advertise on media and their websites that you can place orders online and have the option to either pick up or have orders delivered. Coles order [protected] Woolworths order [protected]
I place an order to both supermarkets and with Woolworths they didn't for fill my order of toilet paper has stock went on the shelfs instead. First, priority to in store customers' only, same problem with Coles, only placed order with them on 7/3/2020 and had to wait to 13/3/2020. When I went to pick order my order wasn't filled either, has they look after store customers first!

Suggestions to control essentials items are:
• Have securities at these aisles
• Limit stock to 1 to items only
• One 1 to 2 per household (not per person)
• Police whole process ( like in other countries like Italy, China etc.)
• People can place order online or instore (names are taken)

i can contacted on my mobile [protected]

Coles Supermarkets Australia VERY BAD service for waiting on the phone over an hour and voice mail still telling us to hold...

I tried to ring [protected] for a few days from Tuesday morning to Friday late afternoon/early evening on this week and waiting for more than 40 minutes. Last called waited for 50 minutes at the time I started to write this. it is not acceptable waited too long when the voice machine saying "Thank you for waiting and please continue to hold and one of our team members will be with you shortly. "

When the Coles company know that this month expects high volume enquiries for order online especially for new customer online - why can't they employ more staff/call centre to answer the phone enquiries.

No option to call back customers

After keying all card numbers, expiry date and number at the back of the card. Session time out again and again. Login entered card details again - session time out again - log in repeated the payment details - session time out again. I had tried in 3 days, the same problem. Unbelievable, the session shouldn't be time out for less than 60 seconds to put card details in and without leaving my desk.

Coles Supermarkets Australia Beef- prepackaged diced

Advertised NET weight on packaging is "500gms e".
Package true weight with packaging is 537gms.
Net weight of beef is 468gms.
This is between 5-6% LESS than the amount advertised and payment required for.
Weight / amount of product need to be more precise in line with the advertising on the product.

Coles Supermarkets Australia Online Order

Hi team,

After attending 6 different Coles Supermarket Stores in the North Eastern Suburbs in Melbourne and not being able to find any toilet paper, I placed an online order on the 7th of March and committed to waiting until today, 12th of March to pick up the toilet paper through click & collect - as I thought this would ensure some toilet paper would be set aside for the order before it being placed.
I received an email from Coles today advising they have not charged me for the toilet paper as they cannot supply it.
We literally have 2 rolls left in the house.

Coles Supermarkets Australia Customer service

As a loyal coles shopper I dropped in tonight and had to go to the deli (coles tea gardens Nsw) One young blonde behind counter the other employee in front of the counter. No hello I won't be long the one behind counter to busy on her PHONE showing the other employee something about eyebrows. How pathetic! Then after they had finished their conversation she didn't even say hello basically she said do you want something and I said yes I would like to be served. She got my meat and just stuck it on the counter! No Thankyou ect how pathetic... I asked was there a manager on duty and she said I don't know! Yeah right.
Please train your people and ban phones. This attitude is unacceptable. Happy for you to look at any footage. Around 855 pm.
